Ye Olde Introductory Post

Hi all! I'm Evie, I use she/her pronouns, I'm 24, and I wish I was 3 inches tall. As you may infer from that last line, this is my g/t blog. If you don't know what g/t even is, here's a great post explaining wtf I'm rambling about. If that's what you're here for, great! This blog is going to be a mix of my original writing and art as well as reblogs from other amazing community members in the g/t community (of course).

If you'd like to know what to expect more specifically, keep reading.

What type of content you can expect (and not);

A lot of fluff, angst, and romance. Occasional darker themes and content (more on that under content warnings in a minute), but nothing that's intended as kink content nor explicitly sexual. I'm ace and gt is not a kink for me (no hate to people who feel otherwise though!). I mostly just write and draw things that interest me, from original works to fandoms. Occasional v.ore mentions, I'm not super into it as a thing overall so there's no actual v.ore but the potential is a fun horror/angst trope like "Oh no man eating giants (but they're not)" or "friendly giant is sad bc everyone thinks he's a man eating giant". Regardless, any such mentions will be in content warnings so you can avoid easily. Or find easily, whichever lol. Maybe occasional horror adjacent stories, I write non gt horror on occasion so who knows. Will also be included in content warnings if you're just here for the fluff. Finally maybe occasional "suggestive" content - nothing actually sexual and always between consenting adults but I write romance so there might be a "behind closed doors"/"fade to black" scene at some point. Again, will also be in content warnings. I think that's everything I can think of for potentially objectionable content that might show up; for more on content warning system keep scrolling. If I write something that begets updating this section it shall be updated.

Content warnings;

All of my original works have content warnings at the top for any content I think might reasonably need to have a warning, including swearing, injury, angst, fearplay, etc. I'm additionally planning on, moving forward, adding tags for each content warnings so people that would like to filter by tag can do so as well. If you're planning on sticking around and there's a content warning I'm not currently using but you'd appreciate being used (eg, specific phobias, certain words, etc), let me know via ask or message and I'd be happy to add it! Tumblr and the gt community on here is thankfully small enough that I can reasonably do that

was curious and wanted clarity- you have safe and sfw vore blogs dni, do you mean you don't want to interact with blogs that post soft/safe vore at all and blogs that don't consume vore nonsexually? there are a few blogs out there that are completely 18+ and don't want anything to do with minors but they don't get off to vore

“Safe and SFW vore blogs DNI” in my pinned post means that I don’t want to interact with blogs that consider vore to be something that’s not NSFW - as in they think it’s appropriate for kids to interact.

I am on the ace-spectrum, so I completely understand enjoying vore non-sexually. However, vore is inherently NSFW because it is a kink.

I am fine with safe/SFW vore blogs interacting as long as they are completely 18+ and don’t allow kids to interact with them.

^ (I generally stay away from “SFW” vore blogs though because they don’t usually mean “SFW” as in non-sexual. But if they do just mean it as in they don’t enjoy it sexually, then I have no issue with that.

Hey, I'm Dragon, your local or not so local (I don't know where you live... or do I?) SFW tickle blogger so if you don't like that I would advise you to leave. On the subject of leaving, I'm a minor so NSFW get the kentucky fried fuck out of here, I don't mind people over 18 interacting, however if your blog is minors DNI then I'd appreciate it if you didn't interact with me given well, I am one. As for gender, literally no idea at this point, but please use they/them pronouns, and I'm also aroace so there's that I guess. Also I don't really rp, just not really something I'm comfy with.

I mostly just reblog other posts with the tag #non tkl for stuff that isn't related to tickling, I haven't made an original post in god knows how long but maybe that'll change eventually, only time will tell.

Couple things about me to do with not tickling:

I spend a lot of time gaming with the most common ones as of late (will try to keep this updated?) being osu, Balatro, and I'm slowly dragging my way back into the occasional PVZ2 mod and Limbus Company, I'll usually enjoy just about any platformer, metroidvania, rhythm game, or roguelike though.

On that note, I have read a few vns (visual novels) such as the Danganronpa trilogy, the original Ace Attorney trilogy, and Umineko no Naku Koro ni, the far latter being my absolute favourite piece of fiction ever, but please read the trigger warnings if you want to read it. Higurashi and Subahibi are ones that I plan to read, but in all honestly, I doubt I'll find someone else who reads vns in this community.

I also listen to a fair share of music, with two artists of note being Will Wood and Miracle Musical (wow so beating the stereotypes good job Dragon), but I've usually got a backlog of stuff to listen to so I'll try and keep this updated too, always down for recommendations though.

What if, after the events of SB, the fire never happened, Afton is gone (probably...) and Vanessa is no where to be seen. And...what happened to Gregory...? Who knows! But good news is the company was bought out and getting major rehauls to its operations, the virus is gone and things are looking up at last for the Daycare attendants Sun and Moon and all their friends....family?

Basically we are ignoring the fire and the DLC, and Smoon and everyone else is getting a HAPPY ending, with a healthy dose of trauma and other mental health struggles that they and others will have to work through, good thing they have each other and the rest of the plex to support them!

Hello Fellow Fandom Enjoyer!

Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the internet dedicated to reading fanfiction! You can call me Ace, I use she/her pronouns, and I was born in the *90s*. You can click here to go to my main blog to see how I use tumblr more regularly and get to know me a little better 🩶

This blog is 18+ out of respect for the authors that I reblog! Some of them are explicitly SFW and may not mind having minors hanging out, but the majority of whom I reblog from are not. This measure is for their comfort.

After nearly 10 years on tumblr, I found myself overwhelmed by all of the fanfiction that I wanted to read by all of the talented writers on this hellsite (affectionate). My main is a bit of a mess, which was hindering my ability to read them. I honestly should have done this a lot sooner. And so this blog was born.

I will not be writing my own fanfiction. That is not where I find joy in fandom spaces. The closest you can get to me writing my own fanfiction, is my ramblings over on my selfship blog, here.

If I end up reblogging something that you would rather I didn't, please please please reach out. I don't want to make you uncomfortable in a space that is meant to be about appreciation and love.

I do have a dedicated tagging system, which you can find here, but it's not particularly detailed. If you would like me to tag something specific (#non-con, #choking, etc.) do not hesitate to reach out.

I do engage with some dark content, and that's all I will say on the matter. If that makes you uncomfy, you can ask me to tag it accordingly, or just not interact with my blog. I won't be hurt by you choosing to cater your own internet experience.

I have my own squicks that I would prefer not to read or engage with. Sometimes I will choose to do so, regardless of the squick, but please don't see it as a reflection on your writing if I choose not to engage with a fic. Tickling and Asexuality

IMPORTANT: This post will include mention of sexual intimacy - but only within strictly educational and health perspectives. 

With that being said, I do ask that all comments, replies, and reblogs on this post remain educational in nature.

This is important information for all ages and sexualities. So please, keep that in mind.

Asexuality

For anyone who may be unaware:

Asexual DEFINITION: An Asexual person is defined as “someone who does not experience sexual attraction or an intrinsic desire to have sexual relationships (or the adjective describing a person as such).”

According to the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network (AVEN). 

In discussing the link between Asexuality and Tickling, I think it is important to first discuss the link between Sexuality and Tickling. This may seem a bit backwards, but give me a chance to explain in full. 

Sexuality and Tickling

Let’s begin with some common facts that, if you’ve been reading up on my blog posts, we know about how tickling affects the body and the mind: 

Tickling triggers the release of endorphins.

Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies.

Tickling relaxes the muscles of your body - both by relieving the muscle tension throughout your body and through physical exhaustion. 

Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow.

Being tickled can lead to a drastic increase in adrenaline.

Laughing can burn calories.

Tickling creates a strong positive association (when consented and wanted, of course) with physical intimacy and touch.

The vulnerability of tickling creates trust between Tickler and Ticklee. 

All of these, increased heartrate, tactile stimulation, the release of endorphins, etc. correlate to how our bodies and minds react when partaking in sexual intimacy too. Especially by touching common erogenous zones like the feet, neck, waist, and thighs, tickling and sexual intimacy already have a distinct link to each other - which has been made evident in studies by Freud and other psychologists.

I am not trying to say that tickling is solely erotic in nature.

But there is an undeniable correlation, both anatomically and psychologically, between tickling and sexual intimacy that should be acknowledged. 

IMPORTANT: The similarities in reactions between tickling and sexual intimacy are important for Ticklees of any age and orientation to understand - both to better protect themselves and avoid unwanted sexual interactions. 

There are plenty of situations and contexts where tickling is solely platonic. And I encourage anyone who does want platonic tickling to continue seeking that out. 

But please remember that there are people who take advantage of that innocence and do not convey their ulterior motives. 

This is why minors, especially Ticklee minors, need to stay within SFW spaces to avoid any individuals who want to prey off of this correlation. 

Knowledge is power. And it is my greatest hope that my blog can provide information so that everyone in this community can be well-equipped with research to better advocate for themselves. By understanding how tickling works, how it affects your body, and how it can be perceived by others, Ticklees especially can learn the warning signs for interactions they need to avoid. 

 I will be delving more into my thoughts on grooming within the Tickling Community specifically in a later post. But because of the nature of this question’s research, I thought this was worth mentioning.  

Asexuality and Tickling

Okay, so if there’s such a strong link between tickling and sexual intimacy, why would there be a correlation between Asexuality and tickling? 

From a scientific standpoint, one could reason that Asexuals enjoy tickling because it is the closest physically-intimate act between two people that is not sex. 

Think about other physical actions that can take place non-sexually between two people: Cuddling, hugs, hand-holding, etc. These are also intimate and comforting acts of physical affection. But these still do not necessary equate to the same hormones being released, the same physical exertion, or the adrenaline rush that sexual intercourse provides.

What sets tickling apart, and puts it on such a close level to sexual intimacy, is that tickling is a game of fight-or-flight, submission, and compulsory pleasure. You do not choose to laugh when being tickled. It is intrinsic, uncontrollable, and a direct reaction to tactile stimulation on the body. You “give in”  to tickling despite your body trying to impulsively escape. 

Tickling requires trust, vulnerability, and an awareness of the body in a way that no other form of platonic physical affection can compare. 

So my answer is this: For someone who does not experience sexual attraction or an intrinsic desire to have sexual relationships, tickling can be an intimate act that still establishes the same vulnerability, tactile stimulation, and physical exertion (that are often characteristic to sexual intimacy) in a way that makes them happy. 

For any Aces that are not sex-repulsed, tickling can still act as a catalyst to heighten any kind of intimacy of their choosing. My own scientific conclusion is geared more towards Asexuals who are more sex-repulsed, admittedly. An example of a different Ace perspective is in a quote from a conversation I had with @an0nymz​:

“Someone unplugged the wire in my brain leading from "sex drive" to "sex" and plugged it into the port for "tickling" instead. I can be "sexually" stimulated by things that I would call my kinks, [...] but despite my body going into "I want to have sex" mode my brain for whatever reason developed in a way where it reads that signal as "I want to tickle" instead!”

Honestly, the answer may be as simple as Asexuals wanting tickles instead of sex.

But just because, for some people, tickling can be used as a replacement for sex, that does not mean that sex and tickling are one and the same. And that does not mean that tickling is only sexual.

Tickling can be holistically platonic. It can be sexual too. It can be platonic with friends while being sexual with partners. Really, tickling can be whatever you make it. I think that Asexuals can use whatever context they’d like for why they enjoy tickling. 

In the end, there will be as many different reasonings for the connection between tickling and Asexuality as there are unique and wonderful Aces. 

While I don’t identify as a sex-repulsed Asexual anymore, my reasoning back then was because tickling was a form of constant, physical intimacy I could have with my friends and partner that didn’t involve sex - while still allowing me to receive that touch, joy, adrenaline, excitement, and emotional connection that I craved so badly. It made me feel like I wasn’t “missing out” just because I didn’t want to have sex. I could still be intimate and be touched by others - just in a way that made me the happiest.
