I had a two week holiday this year and they were instantly slurped up. it went so fast!#there was this big football thing the week before my holiday - basically teams of teens come from all around the world to play etc.#I heard a girl tell her teammates that 'I'd love to travel on this bus every morning; happy people all around you; just add some music...'#she was also very excited when the bridge opened. the 'happy people' around her sighed bitterly and leaned back for a ten minute wait.#it is thankfully over now. the bus home is no longer stuffed full of football teams. but it's a fun experience for the players etc etc etc #well. in other thrilling news I went to spy on our sister shops during my time off. to see what they do differently. maybe steal some ideas #one store was like an instagram post with fancy teacups and stylish outfits. who knew a second-hand store could be so boring.#the other was like a man-cave with furniture and a passively-aggressive note by the toys stating that 'if u break it u pay. idiot. tnx<3'.#the man-cave was my favourite :)#rant over now! take care and bye etc!

I remember snow when I was 3 years old we had almost 3 feet in 1998 lol go on ;)

first time i saw snow was in 2011 at mount rainier national park 🥺 and the next time was when it snowed in TX back in 2021 loll!!

guys I just survived a ladder that wanted to kill me. cheers

#context- I work odd jobs in film production a lot. I recently picked up a new part timer filming high school football games #this particular one was an hour and a half away so needless to say I was already mentally preparing for a LOT #and I got there and the spot where they wanted me was on the ROOF of the press box. which I knew beforehand #what I did NOT know beforehand was that the only way up or down was a ladder that pops down from said roof #which would’ve been okay but I was carrying three equipment bags like a pack mule #so I climb the ladder and even that was fine until the top step #I faceplant straight onto the roof because there is a barrier that’s like a foot long between the ladder step and the roof floor #so. rough start. but the view is great and once I’m up there it’s kinda fun #until. UNTIL. I wanted to go pee because again. hour and a half drive to get there.#said barrier made it so you have to climb down to get to the ladder step and railing and I pissed around playing chicken with that thing for #for an HOUR playing chicken because I could not fucking handle it #so I get through the first half okay but decide that I’m booking it to the bathroom the second halftime starts #and I forced my fat arse over the ledge and I figured out a grip on the trapdoor thing that helped keep me from falling #and I felt like I’d just made a person break cause like. I genuinely was not sure how the fuck I’d make it down for a bit #after that? might’ve been the high of Doing The Scary Thing but the rest of the time I had fun #I got a nice coach in the press box to help grab my bags as I handed them to him so I could climb down to leave #drove an hour in pitch darkness on country roads to my boss’s house to drop off the footage then 20 minutes home and now #and now I think I could sleep forever and ever but I fuckin did the thing

Since 2021, Demirkapi has been employing creative techniques to sift through vast data sources, uncovering developer secrets like passwords, API keys, and authentication tokens that could be exploited by cybercriminals 💻🔑. At the Defcon security conference, he presented his findings, which included over 15,000 developer secrets embedded in software, providing access to sensitive systems such as Nebraska’s Supreme Court and Stanford University’s Slack channels 🏛️📊.

Demirkapi’s investigation also uncovered a common problem with dangling subdomains, identifying 66,000 websites vulnerable to attacks like hijacking 🕵️‍♂️💥. High-profile websites, including one belonging to The New York Times, were among those at risk 📈📰. By leveraging unconventional datasets, Demirkapi was able to spot thousands of overlooked security flaws, demonstrating the need for innovative approaches in cybersecurity 🔍🔐.

However, fixing these vulnerabilities proved to be a difficult task. While some companies, like OpenAI, collaborated with Demirkapi to revoke exposed secrets, others, such as Amazon Web Services and GitHub, were less responsive ⚙️🔄. Demirkapi had to create alternative methods to report the exposed data effectively. His research highlights the critical need to explore large data sources for security weaknesses, suggesting that there are still many untapped resources that could help bolster cybersecurity efforts on a broader scale 🌐🔍.
