the transparent ones are because while hibiki loves both modern and retro gaming pretty equally, he's definitely got a preference for retro and thinks turn based rpgs are fun but it definitely depends on what the devs are going for- say, xenoblade is a fantastic rpg that... would not be nearly as good if it was turn based, for example. stuff like that. and while he still really likes featherman and would totally marathon it with futaba, he also feels like he's outgrown loving it.

softly, but with feeling: i love your akechi a lot! he's so fun!! words are hard bc i'm a lil sleepy right now but i love how much care goes into the balancing act that his Everything(tm) entails- keeping him sympathetic but held accountable; i find it's easy to want to lean into one direction or the other, but all the layers and facets to his personality shine through well! basically you're doing great, keep it up~ and i'd love to see more yusuke, joker, and mona too <3

to say so would probably be rude, though, so he hands the device back to luigi and smiles brightly. weird machine aside, the entire notion of chasing and fighting ghosts does seem rad as hell. "i didn't peg you as the ghost busting type, but that's really cool! does mario do it too? i bet you guys have loads of stories, hehe."

The first time I heard this song... I damn near cried.

Every lyric, every note--it's all Ann picking herself back up after what Kamoshida did to her and getting her justice. The line 'When I'm finished, they won't know your name.' just... I can't put into words. It gave me chills.

(I still think it's bullshit this song missed out on the Grammy in favor of Ed Sheehan singing about how he was horny, but that's neither here nor there, ahem.)

while hibiki accepts that the atrocities are part of goro and why he turned out the way he did, he doesn't find them funny and goro would have to commit to changing for the better for things to work out long term ( during the events of the game, however, he is hoping he can win him over by showing him kindness and offering a place to belong, and thus get him to quit while he's ahead. unfortunately, as we know, this doesn't pan out and it's a very good, lucky thing he was aware that it probably wasn't going to happen. ) also, while we know he's a pretty, pretty man and thus i marked it... biki himself doesn't, lmao. he thinks goro's like a million times prettier.

THE HEART ASPECT HAD ALWAYS BEEN TRICKY in its proprieties: it always hides more than it shows in regard of what it reigns over, but in a way, dirk strider presumes that is why it suits him so well. it’s the only reason why he is in this alternative plane, he supposes, though that hardly explains anything beyond the basics. improvisation is all the same an old friend of his, so he doesn’t seem too fazed, even at the odd sight of this... cat-bus? well, he’s seen stranger, for sure.

it’s stranger still that that looks to be like a copy of the cat creature that’s always hanging around hibiki, but he won’t add too much thought to that equation.

none of this is exactly how he panned out his trip to tokyo to come out as, but when has his life ever been typical?
