“It should be, yes. One of my previous clients owned a snow resort and allowed me a free night once. Though I only did a brief stint of skiing, I can’t imagine its all that different.”
“Man, that’s one awesome client! A free night there must have been awesome!” An overnight trip to a snow resort sounded like a dream come true! “How was the skiing? I’ve never been before, but I bet it’d be fun to try too!” Come to think of, it, they both sounded pretty fun!

Soldan was sitting quietly, she seemed to be spacing out a bit too long-to the point of not blinking once. Shaking herself out with a huffy hiss, standing up and hands firmly resting on her hips. “Well, I got nothing done today and mosstly…napped until I gave up on sleep. Now what do I do? I ssound like an idiot talkin’ to mysself!”
Having finished up his last class for the day, he adjusted his bag across his shoulder, briefly contemplating if it would be better to go for dinner now or jog instead - as he was pondering this, he approached a nearby bench. Pausing to rest on the bench, he looked up as he seemed to hear someone else speaking, though he remained quiet for the time being, he couldn’t help but curiously eavesdrop a little. Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him and he asked.
“Feeling bored there?”

“Uh-huh.” Oblivion said simply while Ink chuckles and Navarro rolls his eyes. When they heard that this warrants a tickle fight. They look over to Oblivion and Oblivion says,
“Challenge accepted.” Oblivion said, not minding it at all.
“Yeah! Tickle fight!” Ink laughs.
“Oh brother!” Navarro can’t help shakes his head head and smile.
“Heh, not like I’d let you back down anyway - you’ve static shocked me and this means war now! I got to avenge my honour and all!”
He had meant the suggestion playfully, though to his surprise, the others had agreed!
“Let’s do this then!” He flexes his fingers playfully, now lunging for Ink.
“I’m totally gonna defeat you in this tickle fight!” He manages in between chuckles as he begins to tickle Ink’s sides, grinning.

Shdwkyz quickly picks him up off from the ground and goes to dust anything off from Ryuji. “You’re alright.” He assures him. “Nobody is looking.” He tells him.
“Is your leg injured?” He asks him with concern.
Lowering his head, he tries to find some comfort in his friend’s reassurance - the wisdom to his words - but even so, he can’t stop that feeling of shame slowly rising in him. Nodding his head, he barely manages a small response. “...Thanks,”
“...I’m okay, I think I just need to sit down,” Frowning, he continues. “Is that...okay with you...? Sorry to slow you down,”

more-than-a-princess·
Sonia blushed a bit at the prospect of treating herself. She lived in the lap of luxury but when it came to edible treats, things that deviated from her usual menu and diet arranged by royal physicians (who lived a life perpetually on call in case a member of the Royal Family became seriously injured or, more likely, gained ten pounds or more) were very rare. Her dining out with Ryuji, she’d come to realize, was probably the least constrained when it came to what appeared on her plate, when, and in what amount. “Not very often, no,” She admitted, accepting her plate but pausing before taking her first bite. “Desserts are usually reserved for formal dinners or an afternoon tea: it’s uncommon to eat sweets daily in my family, unless it’s fruit. For as important as chocolate is as a national export, we eat remarkably little of it at home. So I like to indulge when I can.”
That mostly meant ‘when no one is around to tell me otherwise,’ which, even in her mid-twenties, happened more often than Sonia would have liked. In Japan, reaching the age of 20 meant someone was a full-fledged adult capable of making their own decisions. She’d reached that age, and the European equivalent of adulthood two years before that, and she still had her every move watched, scheduled, analyzed, and corrected, when needed. It became more and more apparent, she thought as she gathered a modest piece of her cake slice onto her fork, that she’d probably have to be Queen in order for the scrutiny to end. Behind closed doors, anyway: there was little to be done about the press.
Sonia shrugged, just a little, giving caution to the wind as she took a bite for herself. Vanilla cake and layers of fresh fruit made up the inside, while the outside looked, well, just like a bowl of ramen. If it was stone cold, that is: no amount of baking wizardry was going to make it steam at the table. Dry ice, perhaps, but that was likely too flashy for a café like this. “Mmm…it’s good!” She declared, though she made a small face at Ryuji’s suggestion. “I like to believe that I am open-minded with food, as all members of my family should be. But I admit that I do not find the prospect of a ramen-flavored cake to be appetizing. But yes, there is a show like that! One where contestants must determine if an object is chocolate or not chocolate by biting into it, and another where judges must determine if an object is cake or not. It sounds like a fun opportunity! Though if we cannot try it ourselves, we should watch the programs at least. Perhaps with real food that isn’t made of cake?”
She had a feeling Ryuji would choose ramen. He almost always did, save for the instances he selected another noodle dish or a casual dish from the Japanese equivalent of a pub. Plenty of meat and carbs, to be sure. Not that she minded: it was an entirely different side of life than she was accustomed to, and she found that she enjoyed it. Far more than her own birthday at times, and even then the day itself was a fortunate coincidence with Novoselic’s fall holidays. Her eyes widened then at the prospect of ordering her own cake, midway through a slice of the ramen cake they shared. She chuckled, shaking her head.
“Oh, I don’t need an entire cake!” She insisted, smiling as she declined. “I doubt I could finish it before it went bad and my staff…well, my family would find out one way or another and it would be a problem. And I do not have enough friends nearby to help me finish such a thing on my own. But you should get a cake, Ryuji-san! For your next birthday. You have plenty of friends in Tokyo, yes? I’m sure they would celebrate with a sports-themed cake.”
“So, what kind of desserts do you get to eat at these fancy dinners? I bet the cakes must be a lot more elaborate than this,” He gestured in a circular motion at the remaining cake around them, whilst his hand that was still clutching onto his fork continued to stab at the cake, continuing to eat it away at him. “You know, I can kind of relate to not eating sweets every day too - maybe not for the exact same reasons as you and your family,” He was quick to add, now reaching to wipe the corners of his mouth with a napkin. “But I like to save desserts for a special treat - not just because it’s healthier but in a way, I think it’s nice to have a special treat to look forward to, don’t you think so? Besides, fruits are as good as any cake or treat - they’re still sweet and they’re a lot better for you too,”
When he was younger he’d had more of a sweet tooth, being particular fond of anything with a lemony tang to it - straight up chocolate had always been far to sweet for him, sweet to the point of excess at times. Growing up, his sweet tooth had gradually waned over the years - mainly because he had found a new favourite food but also just his natural athletic mindset which warned him off of sweets and kept his mind pointed in a more healthy direction. He didn’t have anything against sweets - didn’t dislike them even. This cake was undeniably delicious and sweet but as far as he was concerned, it was just a special treat - not something he wanted to make a habit of, even if it was damn tempting.
“This is really good,” He was quick to agree with her there, chuckling at her honest observation. “If anyone was actually looking forward to eating a ramen cake, I’d honestly be a little worried.” He joked, digging his fork into a corner of the slice shaped like little noodles. “But it’s definitely good to keep an open mind when it comes to food - I think it definitely makes going out more fun,” He smiled at her suggestion, nodding his head in agreement with it. “Well, if we’re just watching it on television from the safety of our couch, then I don’t mind watching people gamble on what’s chocolate or what isn’t. Might even be interesting. We should make a little viewing party of it - why don’t you see if you can find a night that it’s on and we’ll be sure to get together that night?”
That sounded like a fun enough outing for them - most of their interactions had been at the convenience store he worked at - or going out to various places - and it had all been pretty great, no doubt about that - any time he had with Sonia was a great time as far as he was concerned. Still though, he was excited at the prospect of a simple and quiet night in - they could order some food or even try something easy like ramen. Bundle up with some blankets on the couch and watch this show together. That sounded pretty nice, really. Just as long as he could keep his apartment clean before Sonia arrived!
“Well, if you’re sure - but I don’t think I need a cake either, I’d never been able to finish it.” He waved off the suggestion cheerily enough, briefly frowning at the mention of his friends. “I’m sure my friends would do something like that for me - they’re about the best friends around, but it’d be hard to plan a get together, you know...? They’re...all across Japan and the world, living their lives and planning their futures and I’m...” He trailed off, shrugging helplessly. “...Still here, you know?”

It wasn’t often that Esther got a chance to buy a full costume (online or in store), that with her and her mother constantly moving from place to place due to her mother’s work. But since settling into Tokyo, she found that there were a lot more shops than she expected…nonetheless a lot of costumes that were her size!
White dress billowing in the wind, trying all she can to keep holding the flower clips in her hair, she thought she was a mess…until her boyfriend spotted her near the entrance to the Phantom Thieves Halloween Party.
She could feel her cheeks turn pink at Ryuji’s words. Impressed?
“I-it’s not often…I get t-to buy…a full costume…like this…but….”
Deep breaths…
“Th-thank you…”
Even with her words though, her cheeks became more and more pink as she stole a glance at Ryuji’s own costumed self.
Of COURSE she wasn’t secretly ogling over how handsome he looked in his costume, what are you talking about?
He was admittedly a little nervous at this being his first Halloween party with Esther as his girlfriend - the party was a private one, thrown by his closest friends. His friends had always accepted Esther wholeheartedly and were very kind to her, as he knew they would be. Even so, he had felt a pinch of nervousness wash over him the entire day, yet now, standing before Esther, all of that nervousness seem to be swept away. Now, all he felt was affection and happiness at getting to be with her.
While he doesn’t quite recognize the character she’s meant to be dressed up as, there is no denying that the costume looks great on her and that a lot of work had been put into it. Most of all, she looked amazing in it - stunning even.
Reaching for her hand, he took it in his and gave a gentle smile.
“Yeah? Tonight must have been a special occasion then,”
Or at least, he hoped as much.
Tonight was already certainly special to him.
“Just speaking the truth,” His own answer came out quiet and breathless, looking over at her and then down at his own costume.
His own costume was considerably more simple - a sophisticated pirate’s captain getup, that Ann had helped him shop for - nice enough but probably nothing in comparison to Esther’s.
“Shall we go in then?” He nodded toward the door with his neck, Esther’s hand still clutched in his.

A groan would leave him as he slowly sat up and gazed around, confusion and anxiety in his crimson eyes as he took in his surroundings. This… This wasn’t the path he’d been taking home. No this appeared to be some sort of forest? How had…? Wait… Who was…? He turned towards the other as he heard him speak and let out a yelp as he caught sight of the fairy. Had he hit his head?
“H-hmm…? I-I… I-I don’t think so… A-ah!?”
The idea of humans stumbling into their world wasn’t an entirely uncommon one - fairies were, after all, known for their tendency of being tricksters and pranksters. One of his kin had likely left the fairy ring there in the hopes that someone would find it and stumble on this place. He had heard tales of humans stumbling their way into this world before, though this was his first time actually encountering a human in person. Maybe this might even make for an exciting experience! He’d never met a human before.
“Well, it’s good that you don’t seem hurt.” Would have been pretty troublesome if he was. Seeming to realize something else, he spoke up almost immediately after. “Oh, I’m a fairy!” He gestured to his wings quickly, seeming to beam proudly as he introduced himself. “My name’s Ryuji! What’s your name?”

“I’m in the same boat.” The Third year exclaims without a chair in the world as his hands reach into his pockets. The school part was something he didn’t ask for, and he really thinks it’s just his employer’s way of pissing him off. Not only did he have to travel a few hours away from home but they applied him into a new school as well and this school is even more screwed up than the one he came from. Negligent teachers, teachers that throw themselves at their students? Just how fucked up was this part of Tokyo?
“You can call me Yusuke by the way, Urameshi Yusuke. And well they WOULD have probably warned me about you if I didn’t give ‘em enough reason to consider me a lost cause too.” That’s when a rather mischievous grin appeared on Yusuke’s face. Yeah this Ryuji guy, he definitely seemed cool..hell maybe if he was a local in this part of town the two could have gotten into trouble when it came to graffiti or something. “So, wanna skip and go straight t’ the arcade? Pretty sure there are a few games in there I can kick your ass in.”
“Yeah...? Doesn’t surprise me,” Shujin had never gone particularly easy on newer students - if anything, he at least had the small benefit of a few years of normalcy and even something resembling camcorder and popularity at this school - at least, until everything went to shit. The one constant around here was that everyone in this school was out for blood and would turn on you in a dime - didn’t matter if you just got here or had been here for years. Cross the wrong person and you could pretty easily find yourself ostracized by the entire school. Not that this guy seemed to mind very much from the looks of it.
“Yusuke,” He nods his head in acknowledgement, now offering up his own response. “My name’s Ryuji - Ryuji Sakamoto, I’m a second year and a fellow lost cause here,” He gave a small smile of his own, allowing himself to feel a little more comfortable in this guy’s presence - if they were in the same boat, then it didn’t seem like he had anything to lose. “Man, stick around at this school or kick butt at the arcade...?” He pretended to mull over the question for a few seconds before quickly offering his response with an excited clenched fist. “Man, you don’t even need to ask twice! Let’s do this! I want to get in a few rounds of the latest fighting game with you and see how good you are!” Slinging his backpack over his shoulder excitedly, he was already heading right for the exit doors, eagerly gesturing for his companion to join him.
#ah yeah i'll look into it!#looks like it's on funimation so i'll check it out on there#i'm definitely intrigued by it since it seems to be a classic series#thuganomxcs#( v; unspecified. )

“Whoa, really...? Next time we go to the arcade, you should show me your stuff! I bet it’d be cool to watch you in action!” Her skills certainly seemed to be something special, so why not enjoy her in action? “Maybe you can even teach me some of your tricks and then after we can check out the fighting games too! ‘Cause I’d love to see your skills there, too!”

The invitation really caught her off guard for a moment, having not really expected an invite, at most Mukuro assumed the conversation would have turned to ‘oh you haven’t? You should sometime, it’s pretty fun,’ or something along the likes。 Truthfully, Mukuro didn’t really have anything to do later, so she could very well agree to this activity, and honestly, she kind of wanted to, it sounded rather fun。
「Sure– I’d really like that actually,」 she’d agree to that after a short internal argument on if she should agree or not。
The invitation had been a casual one said in the spur of the moment - he didn’t really think about whether or not she would agree to it or think it weird - picking out pumpkins and carving them up was always the most fun with a companion to do it with - someone to help pick out a pumpkin with and decide on a design with, though he still didn’t mind doing it by himself. Luckily for him, it didn’t seem as though that would be the case.
“Pumpkin patch shouldn’t be far - shall we find us a good one?” He smiled, now gesturing with his hand.

Little Cato’s ears flattened, but if this weirdo was really going to help him the Ventrexian didn’t have a lot to say about it. Not with most of his limbs entangled, anyway. So he rolled his eyes.
“Fine, but one wrong move and it’s blaster time,” he said. “And if you survive that I’ll sic my dad on you. He’s the most wanted guy in the galaxy by the way, it’s pretty tight.”
No matter what he did, he couldn’t help but feeling that this was an interesting situation - of course, if this stranger insisted on telling him to go away, he supposed he wouldn’t have much of a choice, but he couldn’t very well turn his back on someone in need, either. So it would all come down to this moment.
“I’ll try my best not to get blasted then,” He gave a nervous sort of half chuckle as he began to ran his hands along the cable, looking for any points that he could work with. “Your dad does sound pretty damn - sounds like my kind of guy,” He was actually curious to meet this guy now, though he still had this to attend to. “What exactly is this that you have wrapped around you though? I can see that it’s some kind of cord, but it must be a pretty long one.”

@electricea· sent… 🫂
hug your joker!
“hm?”
your cheeks grow pink, the sudden display of affection having surprised you, but you don’t hesitate in wrapping your arms around your best friend’s waist and giving him a reassuring squeeze. getting all mushy like this is… not usually ryuji’s style, but you’d be lying if you said you disliked it. it’s… comforting, in a different way than hugging it out with your family would be. a different good, though.
maybe it’s because he’s your best friend, maybe it’s something to do with the way butterflies are flitting about your stomach, causing your heart to do little flip flops and race a mile a minute in turn. maybe it’s the knowledge that ryuji’ll have your back no matter what; you can tell him anything, go to him with anything, and he’ll do his best to help and that you’ll be safe… ( and you’ll do the same for him, of course! )
no matter the reason, you could probably stay like this forever and be happy… which is probably something to unpack later, huh.
“what’s up? if you need to talk or anything, you know i’m here for you, right? er… not that i’m complaining or anything. this is… really nice. uh, sorry. is that weird?”
The decision to reach out and hug Hibiki had an impulsive, spur of the moment one - although a naturally affectionate person by nature, he had always been a little more withdrawn when it came to giving hugs - to give someone a hug felt more...intimate, more close than just a simple pat on the back or an arm around the shoulder. Short of his Ma, he couldn’t think of anyone else he hugged on a regular basis, especially not of his own accord - yet doing so to Hibiki had felt natural - nice. For once, he found himself reaching out and initiating the contact - and although there was a split second moment of fear and insecurity, more than anything else, this just felt natural - felt right.
There had, of course, lingering in the back of his mind - had been the fear of making things awkward with his gesture, or worse yet, being pushed away. He had often worried that even though he had felt a strong bond and attachment to Hibiki - that feeling might not exactly be mutual. There was some terrible part of him that wondered at times, if Hibiki was only putting up with him - if he was a mild annoyance, at best. Yet as he stood there with his arms around his best friend, head hovering above his shoulder, all of the fears felt vague and far away in that moment - all he felt was comfort and security.
Although he would have liked to have stayed like for a while - forever even - he eventually found himself pulling away, his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink.
“I’m...okay,” He admitted, feeling a little guilty that he might have caused his friend to worry about him, although he knew that Hibiki was coming from a good place - that was just who Hibiki was - a warm and a kind person, who cared about others. “I didn’t mean to worry you or anything, I just...felt like hugging you,”
