I'm the anon who sent in an ask abt accidentally co-ordinating a mass call out, saw a lot of ppl wanting the know the aftermath so here's your updoot :>

All 3 of us did end up calling in (during the early morning, so we never had to directly talk to our boss, but the manager on at the time) plus another random 4th person, who wasn't apart of the original group and is just a regular sickie chucker. When my boss did see the emails that morning, he came to my station and had a mini freakout/breakdown to the opener. Ended up not being able to cover the midshift with a proper staff member who works in our department, so no prep was done or topped up all day; the opener was in on what we were doing and also didn't like the staff on that night so her attitude was very much 'sounds like a them problem'.

From what I heard of the close, it went about as well as I expected; a massive shitshow. The one coworker who I really don't like our of the 3 stooges ended up being forced into doing the close, and boy did she fuck it up. That next morning the place was a total trash heap- with shit still being dirty, equipment not being turned off, and just looking like crap in general. According to another coworker who was there briefly it wasn't even bc she was busy, she just never bothered to even START her closing duties or clean and let everything build right until the end. The opener was so mad they went and got my boss to come down and look at the place the morning after and he pulled lazy coworker into a meeting about it that night, saying there was no reason she had to stay back an hour past her clock out time and still leave the place looking like a dump. I had to work with her that next night and she was being really passive aggressive to me abt it, kept saying things like 'yeah it was so bad, if only SOMEONE didn't call in on us' (like get fucked, maybe if you didn't suck I wouldn't have had to prioritise my mental health).

There was an hour wait time basically all that night (something that shouldn't have happened, I saw the sales the from the night and it wasn't even that bad, they're all just that slow) and a shit ton of people complained about either not receiving their food, or the food they did get being cold/not cooked properly. The managers on that night had to get called over a bunch to do a lot of voids and refunds. One of my regulars who was in that night said things didn't even look busy, the person on close just spent more time leaning around or freaking out then actually doing anything.

As for myself and the 2 others who called in, we all had a really good day off. The midshift was telling me how they spent the day relaxing and even got themself a little spa day, I ended up catching up on some chores work had severely pushed back and the other chick just relaxed at home all night. No one walked out and the place didn't burn down, so it's a little anti-climatic ik, but oh well. Good day for us, not so good for the others :3 It was nice at least that they got a taste of what we have to deal with whenever they're on.

I could rant about them for actual hours but like it's so hard to put thoughts down. But literally an actual quote was someone telling Zoro that "you promised you wouldn't cause trouble" and Zoro replies, EXACT WORDS, "I had no choice because I ran into Luffy." There was also an exchange where Zoro was giving Luffy food and Luffy warns him it might be poison while eating it and Zoro is just like "huh, so that's why my stomach was hurting". They also both swung from vines once and BOTH decided to Tarzan yell. They agreed it was a requirement. Also, Luffy once said he didn't wanna be a hero because heros would share their meat and he wants all of it, and Zoro entirely separately says the SAME THING BUT WITH BOOZE INSTEAD. There are so many examples of them sharing a single braincell. More than I could ever list. But those are the examples I thought of off the top of my head.

On the surface, Zoro seems to have some common sense, and only follows Luffy’s dumb schemes out of respect. Then Nami joins and you realize that Zoro’s seriousness IS his dumbassedness. He and Luffy have one track minds for their own goals and wants, and while they may clash, they have a decent amount of respect for each other.

haven’t finished one piece yet but one example: zoro when stuck figured cutting off his feet would be a genius idea and luffy is luffy. there’s never any thoughts going on in that head

When I first started One Piece I thought Zoro was going to be the badass smart counterpart to the dumbass protagonist just like Vegeta or Sasuke. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong. Him and Luffy are besties and share one brain cell and even thou Zoro uses it most of the time it's still one.

They share one single braincell at the same time: after being seriously injured in a battle, one wakes up to drink sake the other to eat meat. One almost cut a Noble (which means being pursued til death by the most powerful marines), the other actually punches said Noble. One gest stuck between buildings, the other inside a chimney for absolutely unrelated reasons

Their solution to everything is to fight it. They never have a plan and just rush into everything. Somehow they are technically the leaders of the group as captain and first mate. They have both at some point attempt to cut or tear their legs or arms off to get out something. They used the same metaphor to explain why they aren’t a hero without hearing the other say it (a hero would share their meat/booze I want to keep it all to myself).

they said let us cut/punch a hole trough a giant tsunami and they did it <3 also one time they were suppossed to lay low, but well they both immediately started robbing and attacking a town and being recognized and labeled as criminals in a new country. they don't even share a braincell, whatever braincell they had before immediately leave as soon as they both are together, also King of the Pirates and World Greatest Swordsman dreamteam, also for lasagne thing not only would the house be gone, the city be burning and they are fleeing the police while also fighting the police

They're just soooo stupid. Zoro can't walk to steps without getting lost. So Luffy will yank him miles through the air to land on wood. Or stone. Or some other hard substance. Luffy would fight someone on accident for meat. And Zoro for booze. And they have no brain cells between them. Zoro new Luffy for approx. 3 seconds before he decided he would die for him. And Luffy heard about this big scary bounty hunter who was captured by marines and went. I need him on my crew. They're perfect for each other.

I dont where to begin. One of their latest feats though is them going into the enemy base, Meaning to sneak in, Luffy went in after another guy, Zoro after Luffy, luffy then Announced himself, started a fight bc ppl wasted food on purpose, ZORO hearing a commotion, SLICED THROUGH A BUILDING TO GET TO LUFFY AND THEN REPRIMANDED LUFFY FOR FORGETTING THE PLAN AND BEING UNABLE TO BE QUIET. THEN. T H E N LUFFY SAYS HE SPILT FOOD ON PURPOSE AND ZORO IS INSTANT LIKE oh ok. They gotta die. (Theres more to it but thats the gist. And thats not even. Much. They r just so stupid together <33)

they both get lost very easily, they will throw hands with anyone, very stupid but very understanding, were a 2 person pirate crew that sailed around on a rowboat, motivated entirely by fighting, meat, and sake, neither is particularly literate one time luffy got his hand stuck in a bottle and zoro tried to get it out by cutting his hand off, yes this happened in a canon episode

Gus & Shawn

They’ve been friends canonically since at least 3 years old and at the start of the show they’re I wanna say 30 maybe? And yet these two grown men are THE most chaotic idiots (affectionate) in the whole show (and let’s be real anywhere). The entire show in fact hinges on the idea that they’re dumbasses and WILL get into carat shenanigans. Episode examples include the one where they are investigating an alien abduction, the one where they’re looking for big foot, the vampire one, all of these by the way they hundred percent believe to be true until they themselves unwillingly prove otherwise. And maybe the most dumbass moment of all time, when Gus finds his boss dead and instead of calling the cops he gets his dna ALL OVER THE CRIME SCENE, calls Shane to help clean up and Shawn gets HIS DNA ALL OVER THE CRIME SCENE AS WELL!!!! Truly cannot think of a worse reaction to finding a dead body. They’ve been sucking that single brain cell that exists between them dry for over 3 decades now and they show no signs of stopping.

they are. so stupid. both of them can be smart in their own ways but when you put them together the dumb best friends energy is unmatched. they are platonic soulmates pretending that shawn has psychic powers and solve crimes by dicking around and somehow always coming out alive. they accidentally befriend the criminals they’re supposed to be investigating constantly. they’re always one step away from being fired or arrested bc of their dumbassery

the entire show is literally shawn pretending to be a psychic (← dumbass behavior) and gus aiding and abetting him and actively a dumbass as well

If you have seen even a single episode of this show, you know these two fools are the best duo ever. Constantly bantering theough 80s movie references and animal like noises, most often above a dead body, these two bring unique different dummy energy that both brings each other up and builds up their own skills along the way. I will love these two men until the day I die and they deserve an honest chance to be the best dumbass duo of all time!

my fav food is a brazilian dish called empada (ou empadinha) ive seen a few gringos describe it as similar to a chicken pot pie but i can't really confirm or deny that now if we're talking like brazilian food that we have for lunch and dinner there's obv the classics like feijoada (esp if u choose to make the feijoada combo which includes churrasco, farofa and vinagrete) there's another classic the estrogonofe, churrasco by itself is good but like eating it with other things is way way better, there's also multiple ways to make rice in brazil for an example the baião de dois, arroz carreteiro, etc if you'd like to pair it up with something that isn't just white rice. my grandma used to make something that i absolutely loved it was frango com quiabo (chicken with okra) it was so good seriously I miss it 😿

the classic cuscuz if ur looking for foods that we eat as breakfast or during the afternoon lunch (café da tarde) there's also tapioca, bolo de fubá, pão de queijo, carrot cake with brigadeiro, corn cake, there's also like something it's a bit like a cinnamon roll i guess? but instead of cinnamon it's topped with condensed milk and coconut and it's absolutely delicious i forgot the name though 😭 there's also sonho which i really like though that's more something you'd buy at a bakery than make at home ig

FOR SPICY FOOD surprisingly , brazil isn't a country that eats super spicy food, our food is well seasoned but like not a lot of ppl eat super spicy food, obvi, there's certain regions of Brazil where this changes and spicy food is very very common however i am from são paulo, so we don't have that here💀💀 the most i can think of is acarajé (which is delicious I super recommend) but unfortunately to find more spicy brazilian food you'll have to ask a person from the southeast <\3 ERM this is really long and im starting to wonder if it's actually any help at all help me but here's a list of 100 brazilian dishes homie<\3

1) not every kick is a roundhouse kick and not every punch is a right hook. fucking stop. I WILL die on this hill and by god am I taking you all w me. I'm not a trained martial artist by any means but I have done self-defense and kickboxing and I HATE THIS.

first of all, if you're dead set on a hook, you want a LEFT HOOK bc most ppl are right handed, means your stance is left foot forward, means your left arm is forward and has more reach to get in/behind someone's guard. if you're looking for more power, just do an overhand. scariest punch I've ever heard make contact is an overhand (w a mitt, to be clear. but it like, reverberated.)

second, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG W OTHER KICKS. axe kick! front kick! gimme a knee ffs! I love a good roundhouse like anyone else but also wtf I need some variety. (my favorite kick to do is a jump front kick. not terribly practical but SO fun)

2) 'hesitance' isn't a thing. HESITATION. PLS. (so much spag stuff where I have to remind myself that we're hobbyists and providing art for free. I don't need or expect perfection but we're talking abt peeves.)

3) look shit up. like just. do some research. GLANCE at a wikipedia article, I beg. this applies to anything, from foods in a particular region to naming schemas to how injuries work to cultural norms. esp the last one. kicking a hornet's nest by saying right out that the lack of cultural awareness and the lack of care for having cultural awareness is why I didn't stay/burned out on mdzs fandom.

4) the character flattening, reducing all nuance and interesting traits into a cardboard cutout of their canon. makes me wonder if ppl can fucking read bc it def makes me feel like we did not engage w the same material. also it's BORING.

5) telling me a character has x quality while there is nothing in the fic that supports this. oh, they're 'x' huh? are they REALLY?????

Hey uh I love writing and blogging!! Below are my full thoughts on taking a hiatus, and mostly it's rambling--but I'm so thankful for all the support and new friends I've made as a Vtuber, as a Goblin, that I think I wanna share myself more. Anyway, readmore below if you want, and thank you if you take the time! ♥

I think I've been wanting to be successful and consistent as a streamer/creator for so long and struggling with it just--I don't allow myself to breathe, and when I do I feel bad about it. I stuff every day with expectations of what I should be doing, what needs to get done, to justify my existence or something--and on top of that, tell myself okay, this week we need to stream at least 3 times, for 3 hours each. It doesn't SEEM like a lot, but when you consider I also write lore, make lil videos and promos, not to mention the new Fansly sub arts, occasional commissions, and art projects for friends... On top of!! Being the primary like, "caretaker" of my irl household when it comes to food planning, cleaning, etc. I don't mention my "dayjob" bc of the shame around non-traditonal roles and work but that's a whole other personal thing I don't feel comfy talking about as Thoxa! All y'all need to know is I try to work hard, irl and online, and it's been a non-stop marathon for THREE YEARS!! Don't get me wrong, I have loved all of it, even the failures and the bad days made me grow a lil stronger, learn some life truths, make friends and lose them again--that's life, no matter where you go. This past year though--it's been rough, trying to succeed and hitting both emotional and physical roadblocks along the way, as well as trying to keep some sort of balance in my life. So, I've decided to start fresh in a way, but also I'm not stopping. I can't STOP it's just not in my nature. I'm BREATHING. I'm taking my time to inhale, to exhale, to realize I can let shit go and move past it, to take every day in stride and do my best and apologize correctly when I fail. And that well, I can exist, also. I don't have to push so hard, every day, all day. I can watch my camping videos and encourage myself to be stronger and more independent while enjoying all of life. Not to get too deep but we have precious little time enjoying this world--there's so much bad, but so much GOOD too! And nature, it's healing, it's good. I'm excited to go be one with Nature this summer, to feel the air and sun and feel alive again. I'm a cave goblin, sure! But I do love to be FREE. I'm going to return, soon. "Stronger than yesterday/Now It's nothing but MY WAY" as Britney says! i can't wait to finish more of that samarkand inspired ruins zoo so i can show u guys, ill probably do a video recording walkthrough :)

so far ive got a plaza with one of those enterance arches surrounding by ruined fence and semi-fallen towers around, inside the plaza being food and drink in theme and stuff and in the middle in another on theme building being fruit bats

and im done w what was meant to b an aviary, its like the inner garden section of one of those giant masjids kinda where you enter through one of the big archways and its an enclosed place w more archways all around. the top is closed off in glass bc it was meant to b an aviary but became more like a climate controlled tropical dome u can walk through, on one side theres 2 southern cassowarys whove had a cute striped baby and on the other side theres two malayan tapirs who also have access through some of the smaller archways to a lush exhibit filled w tamarid trees outside. and on the other side on the outside im currently setting up a indian rhino place (might add peacocks too?), which already looks cool bc ive taken one of the archways and towers and collapsed it to look like sunken ruins theyre walking among

andd this whole zoo is build in a plateau like terrain essentially, so another part im working on is these bridges and stairs which go up on the plateau sections. on one of the sections is this giiaant exhibit ive got some indian elephants in (will add some sort of antelope gazelle deer things later w them) that guests can go on the plateau above to view, or they can go underneath the plateau through this cave system that ive dug out and see the elephants on the same plane :)

its such a huge project and its gonna take so long but for only the second zoo ive made in this game im rly impressed w myself. it takes a lot of ppl 1-2-3 yrs to rly get a hang of the game and both my projects so far have looked pretty damn good

aaaaaa thanx for actually taking me up on that ! most of what ik abt british hockey pertains to the cardiff devils & national team so i can't rlly share much abt the other teams.

i could. talk for days abt the national team's performance at the div 1a world championship this year (in nottingham !) where we got promoted back to the top tier. with the exception of the game against poland we p much steamrolled the other teams (bownsy got 3 shutouts which i feel says enough). the start of the final game against italy was nasty tho (and defo reminded me why i can't stand mike keenan, who apparently is their head coach ??) but we won and the crowd went mental ofc cuz it all happened on home ice. i wasn't there because i didn't need to spend a whole week right before my exams getting drunk and watching hockey (i'm still kinda mad at my decision tho even it was the smarter one). but i did cry at home when that game ended i will admit that. prague better watch out next year because there's gonna be even more drunk british people than usual lmao

i've spent months trying to fill myself in on cardiff devils history because apparently i need to know Everything abt the teams i like and. i do think it is a very silly coincidence that they also had a guy called steve from british columbia who wore 19 and was the team captain in the 90s. i will however complain abt the vending machine in vindico arena (where they play their home games. hate the name change tho) because they r so fucking confusing my mum had to help like 3 ppl pay for their snacks last time we were there i hope they've got new ones or i will be sneaking my own food in next time i manage to go to a game. can't moan abt the atmosphere there tho it is so fucking loud omg. oh and ben bowns ? the guy i mentioned before ? yeah he's our goalie. and he's not actually bad (had a few bad days last season but you can't rlly fault him for that that much ya know)

oh and apparently if you like hockey here you are (at most) five degrees of separation from one of the teams here. i have two different connections to my mum's hometown team (the link centre is by far the nicest building in swindon i literally dk how they manage to get ppl to sign there unless they live outside of that town. not necessarily because it's a bit of a dump but because the crime rate is so high). it rlly is a close-knit community here

he grew up on microwave food but when he takes in kenji it’s like oh i gotta start eating healthy. for the child. so there’s a lot of experimenting in the beginning and kenji is his taste tester but kenji was raised on lab food so he doesn’t have any standards. but that’s part of how they become close as bros, two kids fucking around in the kitchen lmao. and then alice has an intensive job and uriko is usually in tow so he cooks for them as well. so much of yugo’s personality is wound up in being the strong guy who beats ppl up so he doesn’t otherwise have a soft outlet for expressing his feelings towards his loved ones, but cooking for them makes him feel like he’s taking care of them

wait this isn’t rly hc so much as just. interpretation lmao. he doesn’t have any bio family left but he’s just sort of allowed random ppl to fill in that part of his life. like gado is sort of an uncle/godfather. i think also that mitsuko lectures him, pulls his ear, etc

☮️ - friendship

when kenji reaches able-to-take-care-of-himself age yugo is kind of an empty nester. he realizes that he doesn’t have any hobbies and that he doesn’t know how to connect to ppl his age. but bc of his wolfishness he’s actually quite extroverted and gregarious. so he goes down to the gym and makes friends w a bunch of old guys. they like him bc he’s son-shaped and keeps them on their toes. but soon alice tries to get him to hang out with her normie friends bc otherwise he’d spend all his free time standing around watching construction sites

☆ - happy

the top of his head and under his chin are weak spots. pat for massive damage. i have the mental image of like, early in their relationship, alice calmed him in his wolf form down by doing the whole, tentatively reach out to the snarling monster, and gently stroke its face, breaking the hold bloodlust had on his mind. as such, it became a romantic gesture between them — it seems simple but a simple stroke on the cheek or just having his face held in her hands calms him down a lot. also in his wolf form he is very susceptible to head scritches and will even wag his tail about it. perhaps you can even play him like a bongos?

Propaganda for Zoro & Luffy

I could rant about them for actual hours but like it's so hard to put thoughts down. But literally an actual quote was someone telling Zoro that "you promised you wouldn't cause trouble" and Zoro replies, EXACT WORDS, "I had no choice because I ran into Luffy." There was also an exchange where Zoro was giving Luffy food and Luffy warns him it might be poison while eating it and Zoro is just like "huh, so that's why my stomach was hurting". They also both swung from vines once and BOTH decided to Tarzan yell. They agreed it was a requirement. Also, Luffy once said he didn't wanna be a hero because heros would share their meat and he wants all of it, and Zoro entirely separately says the SAME THING BUT WITH BOOZE INSTEAD. There are so many examples of them sharing a single braincell. More than I could ever list. But those are the examples I thought of off the top of my head.

On the surface, Zoro seems to have some common sense, and only follows Luffy’s dumb schemes out of respect. Then Nami joins and you realize that Zoro’s seriousness IS his dumbassedness. He and Luffy have one track minds for their own goals and wants, and while they may clash, they have a decent amount of respect for each other.

haven’t finished one piece yet but one example: zoro when stuck figured cutting off his feet would be a genius idea and luffy is luffy. there’s never any thoughts going on in that head

When I first started One Piece I thought Zoro was going to be the badass smart counterpart to the dumbass protagonist just like Vegeta or Sasuke. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong. Him and Luffy are besties and share one brain cell and even thou Zoro uses it most of the time it's still one.

They share one single braincell at the same time: after being seriously injured in a battle, one wakes up to drink sake the other to eat meat. One almost cut a Noble (which means being pursued til death by the most powerful marines), the other actually punches said Noble. One gest stuck between buildings, the other inside a chimney for absolutely unrelated reasons

Their solution to everything is to fight it. They never have a plan and just rush into everything. Somehow they are technically the leaders of the group as captain and first mate. They have both at some point attempt to cut or tear their legs or arms off to get out something. They used the same metaphor to explain why they aren’t a hero without hearing the other say it (a hero would share their meat/booze I want to keep it all to myself).

they said let us cut/punch a hole trough a giant tsunami and they did it <3 also one time they were suppossed to lay low, but well they both immediately started robbing and attacking a town and being recognized and labeled as criminals in a new country. they don't even share a braincell, whatever braincell they had before immediately leave as soon as they both are together, also King of the Pirates and World Greatest Swordsman dreamteam, also for lasagne thing not only would the house be gone, the city be burning and they are fleeing the police while also fighting the police

They're just soooo stupid. Zoro can't walk to steps without getting lost. So Luffy will yank him miles through the air to land on wood. Or stone. Or some other hard substance. Luffy would fight someone on accident for meat. And Zoro for booze. And they have no brain cells between them. Zoro new Luffy for approx. 3 seconds before he decided he would die for him. And Luffy heard about this big scary bounty hunter who was captured by marines and went. I need him on my crew. They're perfect for each other.

I dont where to begin. One of their latest feats though is them going into the enemy base, Meaning to sneak in, Luffy went in after another guy, Zoro after Luffy, luffy then Announced himself, started a fight bc ppl wasted food on purpose, ZORO hearing a commotion, SLICED THROUGH A BUILDING TO GET TO LUFFY AND THEN REPRIMANDED LUFFY FOR FORGETTING THE PLAN AND BEING UNABLE TO BE QUIET. THEN. T H E N LUFFY SAYS HE SPILT FOOD ON PURPOSE AND ZORO IS INSTANT LIKE oh ok. They gotta die. (Theres more to it but thats the gist. And thats not even. Much. They r just so stupid together <33)

they both get lost very easily, they will throw hands with anyone, very stupid but very understanding, were a 2 person pirate crew that sailed around on a rowboat, motivated entirely by fighting, meat, and sake, neither is particularly literate one time luffy got his hand stuck in a bottle and zoro tried to get it out by cutting his hand off, yes this happened in a canon episode

Im a little behind

I tried uploading a post on Monday and I didn’t realize it failed. Anyways lots to catch up on! We’re on phiphi island this week. It’s a little island with zero cars! Very cool little cobblestone streets to walk through. It’s very unique but it’s gorgeous and the weather when we arrived was stunning. Our reunion with Jenna was epic, felt like she’s been here the whole time. We of course got carried away and hit the town. The heat is wild, it is so humid my hair is never dry and 9.9/10 is in a bun. The day rolled into the night and we were in our bikinis still when we were playing pool. If I’m uncomfy my whole mood is ruined and I don’t like wearing a bikini top at a bar so Jenna and I found myself a basketball jersey. I was deciding between the raptors and the bulls jersey when I looked at the back and saw the guys name is pippen!!! Like merry and pippin from lord of the rings. It was fate. Also it’s Chicago duh. Anyways apparently pippen is an awesome dude so I was happy w my choice and rocked the jersey all night.

So in Thailand there’s something called a Thai bucket. It’s a mickey of spirit, soda and a Thai redbull (no carbonation redbull) and we hadn’t tried one but it was Jenna’s first night so when in Rome. We shared a few and I couldn’t tell u if they were “Thai” buckets or regular buckets that just don’t have the redbull I was just along for the ride.

Might have been the buckets fault but we ended the night at a muai Thai bar. I hate watching fighting of any kind there’s literally nothing I’d rather watch less than two ppl hitting each other but when in Rome I guess. So the thing with this arena is that civilians can fight as well. So you can fight your friend or a stranger and of course someone can up to Jenna and asked her if she wanted to fight. Jenna’s fiesty, she was raised w 3 older brothers so the girl can handle her own. (I’d like to point out that we wrestled once and I won but I think she’d end me if we had to box). Anyways so she sizes up the girl that challenged her, she was taller, pretty thin and had beautiful white blonde hair. The height thing is definitely a huge handicap but Jenna agreed to the match. It felt like forever from the time she agreed to fight to when they actually got in the ring. We hung out with the girl the whole time, she was so sweet and was obviously very nervous as well so we were trying to amp her up. Jenna had a whole squad boosting her up and this girl had no one and as nice as we are she needed her own ppl in her corner. I found her friends and her boyfriend and gave him a bit on an earful and sent him over. Women supporting women and all but at the end of the day I’m screaming for Jenna to knock this girl out I can’t be amping her up to knock Jenna out too.

I hate to say it but it was a good fight. They both held their own and got in some good punches (even know it’s muai Thai the civilians weren’t allowed to kick thank god). They each won a round so they called it a tie and no one got hurt. It was a really great show of sportsmanship they were super cute afterwards and Jenna was buzzin. You can imagine the night got a little carried away and we all were quite hungover the next day (It was the buckets). Jenna was sore so we kept it very low key. Thai food is the best hangover food so we were in our element. Played cards and swam but not much to report from Tuesday.

sure babe, i don't mind at all!! i moved to england bc there were very few options for the degree i wanted to do, both when it came to uni and jobs!! and the way of teaching and learning courses is a lot more theoretical in spain, at least in my area of study, and i was looking for something more practical??? focused on assignments instead of memorising for exams y'know. besides with my degree in spain my only option was becoming a teacher, which is something that i've considered and wouldn't mind at all, but it's not really at the top of my list. i felt like i had more opportunities to do what i wanted to do in england!! and i've been right so far, i absolutely loved my degree and even though i'm still looking for a job related to what i studied, i'm glad i can work while at it and support myself and save some money <3

spain is very lovely regardless though, and it's definitely better when it comes to other stuff. the spanish industry game IS insane, and i love life there. maybe i'm biased bc it's home, but the plan is to go back there in a few years bc . i'm just happier . you can probably get schoolarships kinda easily if you come to study, and there's also a lot of flats made purposefully cheaper for students, as well as dorms!! the food is HEAVENLY one of the best part of my country for sure, and people are very warm and open and welcoming!! at least young ppl usually are. and it's quite warm too, which maybe isn't a benefit if u prefer winter but for me is definitely a pro

so like i'm going on vacation at the end of this month (on the cheapest week/days of the year to travel lol and 6 days in nola with flights for two of us (minus food, which we eat anyways while home) is ~1k)

and like, i'm planning a small vacation (for myself and myself alone bc my fiance needs to save his pto for our honeymoon in a year cause I have 2 more weeks than him) for whenever the rose release their europe dates (i'm legit planning on going time zone by time zone for three hours until i snag a vvvip lmao, that will determine where i go, if i don't get a vvvip i probably won't do it)

and like i'm not looking forward to hearing bs from one of my coworkers about this, cause she's already kvetched about vacation #2, cause i went away w/ my family (and only took 4 pto days to do 8 days off by timing it well) at the beginning of the summer, and i have next month planned and put into the system and company calendar

and she's heavily implying that i have other ppl paying my bills (which LOL... nope, my fiance and i split things nearly proportionate (plus i have medical bills that he doesn't on top of our expenses), my mom pays our family plan phone bill, but i pay her coffee subscription and for dinners out to even it out) while she definitely makes more money than me

like girlllllll i spend $1.50-3/day on lunch, u buy lunch out which midtown is at least $15, closer to $18, there's the vacations...... there it is, $15 x 3 (days a week in office) x 4 (weeks a month) = $180/month, there's my extra two vacation compared to yours. That's .....fucking two thousand dollars dude, there's the family trip (which my portion was $750 cause my fiance, mom, and i split a room and divided it equally) and the anniversary trip I paid for both my fiance and I to go on (which is $1k, and my fiance is paying for our food and museum entry while away), you ate ur vacations as overpriced midtown salads....like... $1,750 isn't even all of the difference between home lunch, made in bulk and the $2.1k spent on midtown lunch in tourist hell, there's one of (hopefully) the flights one way to somewhere to see the rose lol

like i prioritize.... spending a week in jazz clubs, or 8 days in a hot tub and water park on a boat with my extended family, or....meeting the rose yet again (lol), over the convenience of midtown lunch (even though the last two weeks i've been super bad about midtown lunch, bc i've been so busy at work and come home and take a nap instead of cooking ;~;...but that's justifiable cause the overtime balances out the $15 lol (i am so tired i have to give another presentation in a half hour ;;;;;))

like the "how do u afford this while making less than me" which turns into "well seems fake tho but okay" is not fun???? because i am NUTS when it comes to money, i had to make myself a budget to make myself spend more on things i like, cause if i don't, i'll legit not spend anything, i will buy liver (yummy tho!!) for meals that cost $6 for four servings, or make BULK bulk chili that costs like $25 for 20 servings (which is actually really good!!! it's good chili i make good chili), every day... w/o my budget app telling me it's okay to spend
