This is just a master post for my gameplay style arkhelios story.
(current / quick catch up)
Character Page (Wix) (also has up to date family tree) Previous Family Tree: R1 // R2
————————————————————————————
If you want to read all the chapters, chronologically, not having to deal with Tumblr, feel free to read them here in their google document format!~ In all honesty, these versions are the most up to date, as they are living documents and I've edited them as I've seen errors, so they're likely the better option anyways. Note that that folder has chapter synopses for chapters 0-2 that I honestly recommend over/along with the gameplay posts. Please read the readme file located in the folder for more information~~.
Prologue / The First Three Days (Prologue Synopsis)
(—note, prologue is very messy, and mostly basic gameplay style. Round 1 is catch-up so everyone is on the same season, but that chapter and on has more story-telling elements to it, so a little cleaner.)
Round 1: (Chapter 1) (CH1 Synopsis) Fontana // Rivales // Hyde // Chun // Mishra // Helios (Munoz) // Armstrong // Soileh // Bellamy // Durant
Round 2: (Chapter 2) (CH2 Synopsis) Fontana // Rivales // Hyde // Chun // Mishra // Helios (Munoz) // Armstrong // Soileh // Bellamy // Durant // Poindexter
Chapter 3: Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 6 (current chapter)
————————————————————————————
Arkhelios Extras (builds, neighborhood shots, character asks, text posts, etc)
Arkhelios Gameplay (take place during the story, but isn’t important. basically pic spam from the current timeline.)

The 10 Best Booths at Art Basel in Basel
Installation view of A Gentil Carioca’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Now in its 49th edition, Art Basel in Basel is still trying new things. This year, the fair has implemented a sliding scale price model, allowing smaller booths to pay less per square meter. One exhibiting gallery, New York’s Essex Street, isn’t actually selling any work at all: Per the wishes of artist Cameron Rowland, the artworks are for rent.
At the preview on Tuesday, Art Basel global director Marc Spiegler acknowledged broad art market challenges, including the opposition that smaller, younger galleries face. “We live, let’s be honest, in a difficult time for galleries,” he said. “It’s a time of consolidation. It’s a time when the market often focuses on a few galleries and a few artists.” There’s still hope, though. The fair—with 290 galleries from 34 different countries—kicked off with a strong first day of sales and significant media attention. Cameras swarmed, in particular, around the massive Jeff Koons sculpture Sacred Heart (Magenta/Gold) (1994–2007). Some things never change.
Below, we share 10 highlights from this year’s fair.
A Gentil Carioca
Galleries Section, Booth S19
With works by Maxwell Alexandre, Vivian Caccuri, Laura Lima, Jarbas Lopes, Renata Lucas, Arjan Martins, João Modé, Maria Nepomuceno, Opavivará!, Pascale Marthine Tayou, and Rodrigo Torres
Installation view of A Gentil Carioca’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Riffs on Marcel Duchamp’s famed Fountain (1917)—a urinal-turned-artwork—are never-ending. Yet Rio de Janeiro–based art collective Opavivará! adds something new to the mix by turning a toilet into a drinking fountain that burbles cachaça. White plastic cups sit on the ledge, tempting fairgoers in need of a happy hour. The booth, bathed in a beachy yellow paint job, also features an opulent sculpture by Maria Nepomuceno filled with beads and baubles. The Brazilian gallery boasts a strong roster of national artists, including Laura Lima and João Modé.
Hauser & Wirth
Galleries Section, Booth D11
With works by Hans Arp, Larry Bell, Louise Bourgeois, John Chamberlain, Lucio Fontana, Günther Förg, Philip Guston, Annie Leibovitz, Zoe Leonard, Fausto Melotti, Paul McCarthy, Martin Puryear, Mika Rottenberg, Mira Schendel, Cy Twombly, Franz West, and Georges Vantongerloo

Hauser & Wirth announced worldwide representation of Annie Leibovitz this week. And its Art Basel presentation features a new work by the artist, comprised of 63 photographs taken from 1970–84, of people in cars—including famous personalities such as Martin Sheen, Sissy Spacek, Mick Jagger, and Jane Fonda. “I just realized how strong of an artist she is from an American perspective, of reflecting what America is,” said partner and vice president Marc Payot. The gallery is selling the body of Leibovitz photographs in an edition of four, priced at $275,000; by mid-afternoon of the preview, one had sold.
The gallery also recently began representing the estate of John Chamberlain, whose sculptures are on view. The booth features his PARISIANESCAPADE (1999), a small crushed metal sculpture, for $750,000, and throughout the week, the booth will include two additional works by the artist—teasers for a big Chamberlain show the gallery will mount in September. Chamberlain, gallery owner Iwan Wirth told me, was one “missing piece of the puzzle” in its formidable sculpture program. Other highlights include a striking, red Lucio Fontana painting with 24 slashes, Concetto spaziale, Attese (1965); an intriguing ink and screenprint iceberg piece by Lorna Simpson; a Jack Whitten sculpture; lyrical works by Cy Twombly; a new Rashid Johnson work; and Louise Bourgeois sculptures.
kurimanzutto
Galleries Section, Booth R1
With works by Abraham Cruzvillegas, Dr. Lakra, Gabriel Orozco, Alejandro Otero, Adrián Villar Rojas, Mira Schendel, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Danh Vō, and Haegue Yang
Installation view of kurimanzutto’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
A warm glow radiates from kurimanzutto’s booth, where Danh Vō’s installation Jardín con palomas al vuelo (2018) is on view. Over 1,000 pink candles hang from the wall by thread wicks. The gallery will keep a few lighted at all times for the fair’s duration. Vō initially created the conceptual work in 2018, for an installation at Mexico City’s Casa Luis Barragán. He employed Oaxacan artisans to make the candles from beeswax and natural dye from the cochineal insect (the material, once scarce, was a symbol of power and wealth in prehispanic tradition). “The idea was to reinvigorate a local economy,” gallery owner José Kuri told me. If the eventual buyer runs out of candles, they can purchase them from the same women. The piece sold to an institution in Taiwan for an undisclosed price.
Galerie Thomas
Galleries Section, Booth H13
With works by Alexander Calder, Erich Heckel, Max Liebermann, Edvard Munch, and Chaim Soutine
Installation view of Galerie Thomas’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Galerie Thomas presents a surprising and ultimately winning pairing of paintings by Chaim Soutine (priced at $850,000 to $2.5 million) and Edvard Munch (ranging from $100,000 for certain prints to several million for a painting). On the surface, the two artists had little in common. The former was French-Russian and famous for gory depictions of animal carcasses; the latter was Norwegian and renowned for the world’s most famous depiction of existential dread: The Scream (1893). Yet gallery owner Silke Thomas views the pair as two of the “great painters of early 20th-century art.” She believes that each had “the courage to paint,” and shared in common their stubbornness. They were both “possessed by the idea of expressing themselves.” A gentler side of Soutine is on view—his lush landscapes. Houses by the sea (ca. 1918) looks like a Cubist-inspired collection of sharply angled homes and flowing greenery. Munch’s Seated Young Woman (1916) features a woman wearing a long black dress and a thin black strap around her neck, gazing sadly—a suitably emo work from the master of moodiness.
Metro Pictures
Galleries Section, Booth B3
With works by André Butzer, René Daniëls, Camille Henrot, Cui Jie, Mike Kelley, Oliver Laric, Louise Lawler, Robert Longo, Paulina Olowska, Jim Shaw, and Cindy Sherman
Installation view of Metro Pictures’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Attachment theory is hot right now. As your therapist would love to tell you, the psychological model helps explain why some of us continue to pursue unavailable romantic partners. Camille Henrot’s new series “Systems of Attachment” (2019) riffs on these ideas. According to the gallery’s Alexander Ferrando, the artist is interested in “the need, the necessity to actually separate, to individuate, from the parent or romantic relationship.” Her moody, cartoonish figures are awash in reds, yellows, and blues. The works are priced at €22,000 to €28,000 apiece.
Nearby, a busy mixed media–on–wood panel piece by Mike Kelley, Memory Wave #41 (2003), provides an exuberant celebration of kitsch. The artist stuck beads, knick-knacks, smiley faces, and hearts against an acid yellow backdrop (the piece is priced at $2.3 million). And across the booth, you’ll find a fun Cindy Sherman print, Untitled (1989), which features the artist wearing a fake bare chest and a furry white mask.
Neue Alte Brücke
Statements Section, Booth N12
With works by Nancy Halt
Installation view of Neue Alte Brücke’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
An RV takes up most of Neue Alte Brücke’s booth—a strange sight in the middle of the Swiss convention center. It’s part of a work by the collective Nancy Halt, a play on “Nancy Holt,” the name of the major land artist responsible for the iconic Sun Tunnels (1973–76). The trio (two artists and one art historian) once wanted to include a Holt work in an exhibition they were curating called “Land Art for Aliens.” They couldn’t get it from the foundation (Holt died in 2014). Instead, gallery founder Mark Dickenson explained, they decided to “build a new artist onto an existing artist.” Nancy Halt was born.
Recently, Nancy Halt decided to drive out in the RV to Michael Heizer’s heavily guarded, long-in-progress land artwork City and give the artist a letter written by “Nancy.” He wasn’t available. The collective was eventually able to break in, and documentation of their trip is on view, along with the vehicle (the installation costs $50,000).
Taka Ishii Gallery
Galleries Section, Booth L11
With works by Nobuyoshi Araki, Masahisa Fukase, Minoru Hirata, Rinko Kawauchi, Hanako Murakami, Ikko Narahara, Takuma Nakahira, Lieko Shiga, Sofu Teshigahara, Yusuke Yamatani, and Erika Yoshino
Installation view of Taka Ishii Gallery’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
An impressive wall of the Taka Ishii Gallery booth displays 74 photographs by Japanese artists, made from the 1960s through the present. They range from Nobuyoshi Araki’s sexy provocations to Ishiuchi Miyako’s shadowy streetscapes. Other pictures show public transit, destroyed buildings, and a man throwing clothing off a roof. The most famous of the bunch hangs in the back room: Ihei Kimura’s Basement Tavern, Vienna (1955), which shows two figures at the back of an otherwise empty, dimly lit bar. A smoky, nostalgic haze is palpable. Prices range from around $1,000 to $80,000 (the Kimura is at the higher end). Gallerist Takayuki Ishii told me that he wanted the presentation to gather some of the “most famous, influential” national photographers in one place.
Vadehra Art Gallery
Feature Section, Booth J5
With works by Benode Behari Mukherjee
Installation view of Vadehra Art Gallery’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Artist Benode Behari Mukherjee, who emerged from the Indian counterpart to the Weimar Bauhaus, went blind in 1957. He continued to make work that was perhaps even stronger than his output from when he could see. No longer able to paint, he turned to paper cutouts. His works on view at Vadehra’s booth, all from this late period of his career, are vibrant compositions of found paper and bright, simple shapes (prices range from $22,000 to $30,000). The works evidence the artist’s indomitable drive to create. The Tate Modern has acquired similar pieces and positioned them as heirs to Henri Matisse’s famous cutouts. Vadehra recently bought the artist’s estate of around 700 works. Gallery director Roshini Vadehra noted that the works were receiving significant museum interest from American and European institutions.
Standard (Oslo)
Galleries Section, Booth M9
With works by Mathew Cerletty, Gardar Eide Einarsson, Goutam Ghosh, Kim Hiorthøy, Mikael Lo Presti, Torbjørn Rødland, Julia Rommel, Mari Slaattelid, Fredrik Værslev, and Anna Zacharoff
Installation view of Standard (Oslo)’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Upon seeing Standard (Oslo)’s booth, you might ask: “Who made the Keanu Reeves meme work?” The answer is Gardar Eide Einarsson. The Norwegian artist has turned the “Keanu conspiracy” meme into a series of prints. The texts across Reeves’s headshot offer insightful questions, such as “What if the reason we haven’t gotten visitors from the future is because we have no future?” and “What if there are hot singles near me?”
The gallery is also debuting Torbjørn Rødland’s amusing, crisp photograph of a very large sandwich, entitled The Thousand Dollar Sandwich (2019). Julia Rommel, who just closed an excellent show at New York gallery Bureau, is also exhibiting a candy-hued painting, entitled Woman with Long Fingers (2019). Bold patches of negative white space discomfort and challenge the viewer—a feeling at odds with the welcoming, pastel hues of the border.
Carlos/Ishikawa
Statements Section, Booth N12
With works by Rose Salane
Installation view of Carlos/Ishikawa’s booth at Art Basel, 2019. Courtesy of Art Basel.
Artist Rose Salane acquired 94 rings at an unusual auction—a sale of unclaimed property found on the New York subway system. “The MTA kept them for one year, with the hope of repatriating them,” gallerist Robert Liddiment said. Then, in Salane’s hands, they became mysteries to solve. In 2018, the artist asked an “intuitive reader” to guess the backstories behind the rings.
“It’s very strange what I am getting,” the psychic medium noted of one gold ring with red and green stones. “I feel like this ring belongs to a woman who was trying to lose weight.…She was obsessing about time.…The person isn’t searching for the ring really, they are like a closed book. In their mind this ring is a closed chapter.”
Salane also analyzed the DNA on the rings and asked jewelers to appraise them. She’s mounted the rings and silkscreened information received from all three tests onto a white background; there are six rings and captions per page ($5,000 for one; $25,000 for a set of six). Altogether, they form a lyrical game of lost and found.

MotoAmerica Starts Its Second Half In Utah
On paper, the fast layout of the Utah Motorsports Campus should favor defending MotoAmerica Motul Superbike Champion Toni Elias and his Yoshimura Suzuki teammate Roger Hayden. After all, the pair finished first and second in both races last year at the circuit on the outskirts of Salt Lake City on their new GSX-R1000s, with Elias sweeping to his second and third career wins at UMC.
But if we just went by the paper, there’d be no need to have races.
As the series arrives in Utah for the Championship of Utah at Utah Motorsports Park, the second half of the 2018 MotoAmerica Series begins after half a season of awesome racing and high drama. And, unlike last year, we get to Utah with Monster Energy/Yamalube/Yamaha Factory Racing’s Cameron Beaubier leading the MotoAmerica Motul Superbike Championship after completely turning his season around in the last two rounds and four races. He comes to Utah with four straight wins and a 29-point lead in the championship. He’s also a former Superbike race winner at UMC, with a victory in race one in 2016.
“We struggled a little bit at Utah last year and, in the past, it hasn’t been one of the best tracks for us,” said Beaubier in the week leading into the race. “It hasn’t been terrible. I’m definitely going to start my weekend there like I do every other weekend and see where we are at. Our bike is definitely quite a bit different than it was there last year. I will go in with an open mind and see what we have. Utah’s been a good track for him (Elias) the last few years and we will need to be on our A game and do the best we can at Utah. I want to take advantage of the races and the racetracks that suit our R1. If Utah is not one of them, I will be as smart as I can and move on.”
Although he’s 29 points behind and coming off a rough patch in his season, Elias draws confidence by returning to a track where he’s had a lot of success. He also knows that four races ago he had a 35-point lead in the championship before things flipped upside down at Road America and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
“We did a little test in Fontana (Auto Club Speedway) and everything seems like back to normal,” Elias said. “Not 100 percent, but very close. I think we have a good base to start everything in Utah and start to feel the front (end) again. I crashed a lot when the tire (Dunlop’s newest version of its KR451 N-Tek, which is larger in circumference) arrived, but the front (feeling) is back. Normal feeling is back so I am happy. Now Cameron (Beaubier) has pretty much the advantage I had before. He is strong and so ready and very consistent, but 20 something points is not enough to relax. I will be there to reduce this distance and we have time enough. This is my goal, so let’s do it.”
The man who sits third in the Motul Superbike title chase coming into UMC is Attack Performance/Herrin Compound’s Josh Herrin. Herrin is 68 points behind Beaubier but has been a factor in the last four races with three second-place finishes. His only hiccup was a crash in race two at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca while running second to Beaubier. Herrin has also tasted Superbike success at UMC as he won race one there in 2013, the year he won his lone AMA Superbike Championship.
“I think we should be close enough,” Herrin said when asked about winning races at Utah. “We’ll see how the power is at Utah compared to the other teams. We are there for the wins. In the past two rounds, four races, we had the bike to win. I just messed up on all of them.”
Yamalube/Westby Racing’s Mathew Scholtz started the season like gangbusters, finishing second and third at the opening round at Road Atlanta before winning in the rain in round two at Circuit of The Americas in Texas. He struggled at Road America but seemed to find his way again at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca where he finished fifth and fourth in the two races. The South African comes to UMC fourth in the series standings, six points behind Herrin and 31 points ahead of fifth-placed Garrett Gerloff, the Texan racing in his rookie season of Superbike with the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Yamaha Factory Racing team.
The rest of the top 10 in the Motul Superbike class are tightly knit with M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Jake Lewis just three points behind Gerloff. Then comes SC Project/KWR’s Kyle Wyman, 13 points behind Lewis.
Hayden, who finished second at UMC last year by 2.4 seconds in race one and just .459 of a second in race two, has bounced back from his horrible start to the season with three straight podium finishes. He sits eighth in the championship, three behind Wyman. Scheibe Racing’s Danny Eslick is next, just four points behind Hayden, and Fly Street Racing’s David Anthony rounds out the top 10 heading into round six.
The Supersport class comes to UMC with JD Beach in the catbird seat with a 52-point lead in the championship he won in 2015. Beach has won five of the seven races thus far in 2018.
The men who have beaten him in those two races will likely be his biggest challengers at UMC: Hayden Gillim and Valentin Debise.
Rickdiculous Racing’s Gillim beat Beach in the rain in race two in the series opener at Road Atlanta and M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Debise won his race in his comeback from injury at Road America in race one. Gillim is second in the title chase with Debise already up to fifth despite missing the first four races of the season.
Cory West filled in for Debise in those four races and he did an admirable job of it. West is third in the series standings coming into UMC and now rides a TSE Racing Yamaha R6.
Behind the top three comes a string of riders fighting to get into the top three in the title chase: M4 medAge Suzuki’s Nick McFadden (nine points behind West), the aforementioned Debise, Quicksilver/LEXIN/Hudson Motorcycles’ Richie Escalante, YCRS/Mazziotto Racing’s Anthony Mazziotto III, Tuned Racing’s Braeden Ortt, KWR’s Bryce Prince and Rickdiculous Racing’s Jason Aguilar.
The Liqui Moly Junior Cup Championship is being led by KTM Orange Brigade/JP43’s Alex Dumas, the winner of five of the seven races. Dumas, who turned 16 this week, lead the championship by 26 points and it could be worse for the competition if he hadn’t failed to start one of the races and crashed out of another.
Dumas is being chased by fellow KTM Orange Brigade rider Sean Ungvarsky and Yates Racing’s Ashton Yates, the Georgian the only other race winner in the series thus far with his wins coming in the rain at Road Atlanta and at Road America in race two. Yates is just a single point behind Ungvarsky in third place.
MP13 Racing’s Cory Ventura (Yamaha) and Attack Performance/Herrin Compound’s Gavin Anthony (Yamaha) round out the top five heading into the UMC round.
Utah Motorsports Campus will host both the Stock 1000 and the Twins Cup classes, which are both new to the MotoAmerica Series in 2018.
Ghetto Customs’ Chris Parrish leads the Twins Cup Championship into Utah on his Suzuki SV650, but by just two points over Altus Motorsports’ Jason Madama and his Yamaha FZ-07/MT-07. Those two have three wins between them (Madama two, Parrish one) with Xavier Zayat the other race winner in 2018. Zayat, who only competed in the round he won at VIRginia International Raceway, is returning to the class for the UMC round.
The Stock 1000 class is also close with RiderzLaw Racing Kawasaki ZX-10R-mounted Andrew Lee leading the BMW of Weir Everywhere Racing’s Travis Wyman by 10 points with Kiwi Shane Richardson another 12 points behind in third on the Woolich Racing Kawasaki. Wyman has won two of the three races with Richardson winning the other one. Lee has finished second in all three races held thus far.
Utah Motorsports Campus Notes
The winningest Superbike racer of all time at Utah Motorsports Campus is retired Texan Ben Spies. Spies won five races in Utah during his career, including his first-ever Superbike race at UMC in 2006. The active rider with the most wins at UMC is Toni Elias, the Spaniard having won three Superbike races in Utah, including both last year.
When Cameron Beaubier won both races at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca last month the wins were the 27th and 28th of his Superbike career. The 28th win moved him into a tie for fourth with Ben Spies on the all-time win list for the class. Four more wins for the Californian and he’d be tied for third with Miguel Duhamel with 32 wins.
The other active MotoAmerica riders on the all-time Superbike win list are Toni Elias (21 wins/sixth), Roger Hayden (nine wins/19th) and Josh Herrin (four wins/26th).
Three of Elias’ career wins have come at Utah Motorsports Campus. Elias won race two in 2016 won both Motul Superbike races at UMC last year. In race one he beat teammate Roger Hayden by 2.4 seconds and in race two he barely beat Hayden – by .459 of a second. The wins were Elias’ fifth and sixth of the 2017 season. Cameron Beaubier crashed out of race one but bounced back to finish third in race two, 6.6 seconds behind Elias, who left Utah with a 30-point lead in the championship that he would go on to win.
If Elias or Hayden win this weekend at UMC, it will be the 200th career AMA Superbike win for Suzuki.
Roger Hayden earned pole position last year for the two Motul Superbike races at UMC with his lap of 1:48.941 in Superpole. Elias was second fastest with a 1:49.219 and Josh Hayes completed the front row with his 1:49.347.
Last year’s two Supersport races were drama filled with JD Beach winning his fifth race in a row in race one. In race two, things went upside down for both of the Graves Yamaha riders with Beach running into teammate Garrett Gerloff and taking them both out of the race. The win went to M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Valentin Debise.
The KTM RC Cup races (now Liqui Moly Junior Cup) were won by Cory Ventura and Jackson Blackmon. Ventura’s win was the first of his MotoAmerica career.
The now-defunct Superstock 600 race on Saturday last year was won for the first time by Jason Aguilar, the Californian moving to within two points of then series leader Conner Blevins. A day later, Aguilar won again and took over the points lead, which he would hold on to for the rest of the season. Team MG55’s Michael Gilbert also had a good weekend in Utah in 2017 with two second-place finishes.

Ori apologizes, mainly to stop Ironman from starting a fight with her every five seconds. He’s still furious, of course, but her apology does it’s job.
Omar drinking in the background watching the shit show in front of him: What did I just witness?
Dude, you should probably just leave now.

For some reason a Welcome Wagon full of Bellamys shows up. Oriana doesn’t have any negative relationships with any of them so I figured why not humor them.
