Of course I picked March out, because let's face it. He would absolutely have an issue with anyone (he doesn't know and trust) even breathing in your direction. The blacksmith isn't big on PDA, but once he notices someone hitting on you he's basically all over you. March is wrapping his arm around you while glaring daggers at the person, not even trying to keep it low-key or anything. How dare they think they have a chance with you while you're dating the number one blacksmith in the entire goddamn country. This person looks like they can't even swing a hammer properly. What a disgrace! And when you try to talk about his jealous overreaction? Deny, deny, deny. Get Olric on the tease train with you and bully the shit out of him.

Juniper pretends to be all cool and calm and swears she has never been jealous and never will be. Bullshit. Someone could be laughing a bit too hard at your jokes or touching your arm for too long and that woman has already a poisonous potion on her mind. Of course she will deny any jealousy no matter how obvious she is with it and Valen teases her for the rest of the week once she notices. "Who is this peasant? OH HO HO!" She'd say while giving the person a bombastic side-eye. "Oh no, darling, they touched your arm? We will get you all cleaned up in my bathhouse." Juniper, please, that is so rude.

The way Balor gets jealous is not really anything you notice at first unless you know him like the back of your hand. Which you do. PDA isn't something he struggles with, but when he sees an outsider flirting with you, he tends to get even more touchy. Caldarus forbid the person is a salesman like him though. Then it's on. Welcome to the petty Olympics and Snicklefritz is absolutely diving for that gold medal. "Your gems are so unpolished." "Did you really think this rusty spoon counts as an artifact?" "We obviously have an amateur at work here, huh."

Adeline needs to be protected at all cost, because when she's jealous she gets insecure about herself. The festival she planned together with you and the other town members is a full success and attracted a lot of people from outside, but unfortunately you seem to attract a lot of attention as well. Not that you want to of course. She is a mess once she takes notice. Reina and Celine have to convince her that you don't feel neglected and that she isn't too focused on her work. Meanwhile the person hitting on you slowly realizes that they walked into a landmine, because you can't stop talking about how your beautiful girlfriend organized this festival and what amazing work she's been doing to repair the town and-

Eiland's reaction to you being hit on is almost as petty as Balor's. More even and he doesn't seem to realize one bit. Someone is hitting on you? Let him assess the situation first. Okay, he's there, being more than clear that he's your partner, but the other person won't stop their advances. Eiland wraps his arm around the other person and offers to tell them some fun facts about the history of the town. What, they can't tell the difference between the artifacts and that they're all in fact not from the same era? His reaction is the equivalent of "All marathons are the same length. That's like common sense, I fear." and he says it in a way like he's talking to a toddler.

Valen feels incredibly secure in your relationship and rarely gets jealous, but dammit, Juniper, stop telling her about how this new, cute salesperson from abroad is hitting on her partner. It's all fun and games for the witch, because it's a sight to behold. The usually calm and composed doctor isn't calm and composed now? Valen walks over to you guys (very casually and not stiff at all) and plants (again, very casually) a kiss on your temple. All the insecurity and jealousy vanishes into thin air once she hears your giggles and feels your hand reaching out for hers. Dammit, Juniper, she will get her revenge after this.

Hayden:

I feel like he's the typa guy that just falls asleep one way and stays that way for the rest of the night

You could jump on him and he prolly wouldn't wake up till dawn still

Though I feel like he snores and if you fall asleep before him, and you snore, I think he can just tune you out

He's content because you're sleeping peacefully...for now

But anyway the only thing that's a bit of a concern to him is if he wakes up and you're asleep on the floor

Cuz he starts thinking he's taking up too much space on the bed ☹️ please reassure him that he's not

But anyway if you do happen to wake him up, he's holding you down to his chest till morning comes, you're not going anywhere

March:

HE'S SO ANNOYED

March is also a bit of a chaotic sleeper but he's not that bad, just a bit shifty

But he will wake up if YOU move too much or hit him

At first, you hit him, he's waking you up or just pushing you (not to the point of pushing you off the bed, but away from him)

Eventually he comes to terms with it and just moves himself out of your line of fire

As much as he would like to hold you...he has things to do in the morning and he actually needs to get a good night's rest

At some point he gets genuinely concerned because what if there's something wrong with you?

Would kinda push you to get that checked out (he just wants to make sure you're okay)

Adeline:

She will sleep and wake up in the same position, and she will wake up if you hit her

But unlike March, she actually wouldn't be upset

She'd wake up confused, see that you're okay, smile at the weird ass position you're in, and go back to sleep

Has started the habit of tying her hair up so there's less of a chance of you drooling on her hair

Not that she minds too much, but she could be doing more work with the extra time it takes her to do that

Either way, she will try to find ways to try to help you sleep calmly

She doesn't know what it's like, but she imagines you'll feel better if you sleep better

she's normally a very busy woman. You know that going into the relationship, but it's different to truly experience just how busy she is on this level

but when she loves you, Adeline makes time

whether it's a few minutes or a few hours, you are penciled into her schedule and highlighted with little hearts

Celine

might be ooc but I think you can tell she loves you when she starts teasing you more often

Celine is usually very sweet and genuine, but if you're a person she can relax around, I could totally see her lovingly making fun of you

she isn't mean in any sense, just some playful ribbing

Dell is her sister, she has a hidden spunk to her I promise

Juniper

it would be the hardest to tell with her

when you first get together, part of you can't help but wonder if she's dating you solely to get something out of it

but similarly to Balor, when you're alone, you catch glimpses of the way she looks at you when no one else is around and her facade drops. 

she stops insulting the town and the people in it, because you make it better 

Reina

she loves so openly that you will never doubt her feelings 

she says it as soon as she feels it and will never stop 

but you can also see it in how she visibly brightens as soon as she sees you 

she becomes the literal sun 

Valen

I think it would be harder to tell with Valen too, just because she's so reserved

but you can tell she loves you because she includes you more in her work

she tells you things that she isn't as open about with others

not just secrets, but also what's on her mind that she wouldn't instinctively voice

He's a bird guy. You know how much he loves birds if you've gotten his heart events.

I could see him more specifically running a bird rehab. Like if a baby bird looses it's momma he takes them in and does his best to make sure they get rehabilitated.

He'd definitely keep going doing it after moving in with you. But I think he would also like to have a dog.

He's kinda like March with the dog vibes.

He would love getting up and throwing a stick for the pup, or the taking them for walks.

Adeline:

She needs a sleepy cat who would lay on her paperwork to get her to stop working

Her cat is treated like a PRINCESS.

She would bring her everywhere. Just walking around town and there is her prissy little cat following her.

Tbh it’s a therapy cat. When it thinks she’s worked enough it will just plop right onto her papers and meow until Adeline stops and pets her.

I wanna say he’d have a cat so bad.

But he likes to dig!! So I think he ether has a cat that acts like a dog or a dog.

Like you know princess and pauper? How Wolfie acts like a dog. That kinda shit for him.

A cat that would like to roll around in dirt and then torture poor Adeline’s cat.

He would also spoil the shit out of his cat. So many treats

if someone comments on him getting chonky he’d be so sad and gives extra pets

Tbh. Hear me out. A mouse or rats.

I can’t explain it but she gives me those vibes.

Like her little guys have the most lavish house, spoiled spoiled.

They have the best care in the world too, there’s no way Valen hasn’t researched and gotten only the best.

She’d be walking around town and just peeking out from her coat is a little rat. And that’s just how it goes.

I think she’d be the type to have like- tubing all over her house so they can run around and find her wherever she is.

she's very formal about pda

I don't think she would ever deny you if you initiated small things like hand holding and kisses on the cheek

if she was conducting business she would squeeze your hand and let go

but in relaxed environments like the inn or saturday markets, she would be more open to reciprocating

Celine:

she isn't as formal as Adeline, but I think she does get shy about pda

she'll blush when you hold her hand in front of others but will squeeze it tighter

anything more than that gets her flustered

Juniper:

you know how I said in part one that Hayden has no shame?

compared to Juniper, he looks like a priest

she would be making out with you at the bar if you didn't have places to be

she'll pat your ass as you pass by

if someone scolds her it just motivates her more

Fields of Mistria Romanceable Height HC

I have been sitting here thinking about this for like, actual days now. So here’s how tall I think everyone is:

Adeline: This woman as LONG ass legs. I think she’s easily 5’7 or 5’8 not super tall but definitely tall.

Balor: He gives me average height vibes tbh. I could see anywhere around 5’9-6’0 but not bigger than 6’.

Celine: I think she’s small, or at least on the smaller side. I could see 5’4 or 5’3 for her.

Eiland: Simular to Adeline I think he’s probably 5’7 -5’10 easily. He doesn’t hit 6’ but he’s got long legs that make him look taller.

Hayden: This man is LARGE. He is easily 6’2-6’5 there’s no way he doesn’t tower over everyone. (Besides Errol and Orlic)

Juniper: I would say without heels? Probably 5’4 or 5’5 but then with heels? 5’7-5’9 like Adeline for sure.

March: I think March is stocky so he looks shorter than he is. Orlic is definitely the taller of two brothers but March is pretty close clocking in at like 5’9-5’11 and he’s be so mad about it.

Ryis: I think i’m the most comfortable definitely saying he’s 6’0 like of all the men? He’s the most 6’0 out of all of them.

Reina: Same with Celine, she gives me short vibes. But I think she’s a touch taller. I could say 5’4 for her easily.

Valen: I also think she’s a tall woman. Or like- midrange. Clocking in at like 5’8-5’10 she probably just looks shorter cause of the legs.

Ooooh this is a good one!! I’m gonna do who can and can’t sing as two separate categories.

Can’t Sing:

- Balor: sorry buddy. I just look at him and I’m convinced he can’t hold a tune. I think he can ‘sing’ I can see an easier song- one that’s more spoken in tune rather than sung sounding really good. But as for singing? No. Mans can’t sing.

- Juniper: I love her. I really do. But I can not be convinced she can sing. I’ve heard her laugh (/aff) and I think she would be tone deaf. I’m so sorry.

- Adeline: Simualr to Baylor, I dont think she’s awful if she tries. But I think she’s a hummer not a singer if that makes sense.

Can Sing:

- Celine: My beloved girl can sing. She sings as pretty as the flowers in her garden. She probably sings shyly, I don’t see her being an overpowering voice. But I also like to imagine she sings lullabies to Dell when she spends the night.

- Ryis: He can sing. 100% there’s no doubt in my mind. He’s like a disney prince singing to his beloved birds. I also think he can whistle like a pro, he likes to say the birds taught him.

- Valen: I can not explain this. She can sing. And it’s Opera. I think she’d fuck up the Opera bro, she’s got this regal sophistication that just screams Opera.

- Eiland: I think he’s better at singing that his sister, but still not the best out of those who can sing. Similar to how Adeline hums while she works, I can see him digging and singing to himself.

- Reina: She can sing too, for sure! Hemlock is a performer, I definitely think it’s something she inherited from her dad. Plus I can see her jamming out in the kitchen and singing while she’s really in the zone for cooking.

-March: I think he can sing. But he would rather take that to his grave than ever admit it. He doesn’t hum, he doesn’t whistle. You would think this man has no musical bone in his body but then he’d be rocking your baby to sleep one night and you’d hear the most soft and beautiful voice from him.

Wild Cards:

- Hayden: I genuinely can not think if He would be a good singer, or a bad but endearing singer. If he’s good, then he sings to his animals every night some sweet country and they love it. If he’s bad? Then he still does it but they all love it still because he’s trying his best. I think he’d ether have the voice of an angel or sound like a raccoon trying to get out of a garbage can.

Bonus!

- Orlic: I think he’s got the voice of an angel. He gets so much praise and love from everyone because he sounds so good. He’d sing any and every where he got the chance. Not to show off necessarily but just because he likes it and it makes people smile!

Adeline: I think given her status- she'd be a dragon hybrid. Maybe not fully dragon but she definitely would have the scales and maybe horns and a tail.

Eiland: Piggybacking off of Adeline. This man is a dragon. Through and through. Not one single character screams thier monster more than Eiland screams Dragon. Balor: Vampire. Enough said. If you've ever played Balder's Gate 3? Astarion types of Vampire. Or, a trickster fae who likes to make deals with people. Celine: I love her so much and I can not decide if she would be like a fairy, or a mermaid. Im leaning toward fairy more than mermaid for the soul fact that she would be like Thumbelina and also she could sleep in flowers. Hayden: Mans is the Minotaur. Look at him, then look at the Minotaur and tell me I'm wrong. You can't. Ryis: This man is a dryad. Made of wood and likes to attract creatures. He would be so happy to be a tree and have birds sit on him and be so happy. Reina: I can not decide what she would be. I think in this fantasy world she's the bar maid who sends people one quests and takes no shit. She could be anything and also nothing. March: He is a werewolf. He would be the same way in his human form as he usually is- but his wolf form? They would love you so much, like good luck getting up from his big paws. She kisses you on the lips at every opportunity she gets. You drop by real quick to say hello? Here's a kiss. You tell a funny joke that makes her laugh? Another kiss!

Undoubtedly the Bachelorette who's the most comfortable with showing affection in public

Of course you guys aren't making out infront of the entire town, but she has her arms wrapped around you almost every minute of the day. Especially when she has a break or any free moment when you're at the Inn. She hugs you from behind and rests her chin on your shoulders while you're sitting and eating or having a drink

Reina's hands never leave you unless absolutely necessary

Celine

Celine is a close second when it comes to PDA

She's very much into hugging you a lot, but not exactly having a full blown cuddle session on the town square like Reina. After every hug her arms linger around you for a short moment though to either give you a quick smooch or boop your nose

When she kisses you in public she usually tends to do it on the cheek unless she's really excited about something. Sometimes when you're sitting or squatting she leaves a kiss on your temple

Adeline

Our workaholic is absolutely melting away whenever you kiss her on the forehead or hair and because she loves it so much that is where she kisses you the most as well

She gets a bit embarrassed when you cuddle or kiss in public, but holding hands are an absolute must. Also please put a hand on her back or wrap your arm around her. It makes her feel more secure and reminds her that she isn't alone, because sometimes she gets into her head and is convinced that she has to do everything by herself

Whenever you catch her scribbling away on a paper or working when she's supposed to be on a break feel free to give her shoulders a massage. It immediately relaxes her and drop everything she was working on at the moment

Valen

The doctor is definitely more on the reserved side. When you kiss, hug or wrap an arm around her she avoids your gaze and has a small blush on her cheeks, but she won't pull back

But she absolutely adores holding your hand while you are taking a walk through town or looking at wares at the Saturday Market

What she usually does then is bring your knuckles or wrist towards her lips to plant a kiss on your skin so make sure to not wear any gloves

Now let me tell you something. This woman will be so loud about how nothing fazes her and she will be 100% convinced that that is the case as well, but man oh man

summary: Violet is officially in Mistria! And now she has to figure out how to cross a broken bridge- and oh god?! why is everyone in town so hot?!

A/N: Hello!! This is the first part of a series I don’t have a name for yet. 💀 But this is all based off of my farmer, Violet! This is tagged as x reader, if you’d like you can use a word replacer for it! (Linked!) I hope you all enjoy!

Violet didn’t know why she answered it. The mysterious ad for farmland in Mistria. Okay- maybe she did. It was a chance to start anew. Something she so desperately needed. But that wasn’t anything she needed to think about right now. Now, she was looking at the broken bridge before her with a frown and back at her bags wondering how on earth she was going to get them over it. Did a new life mean new clothes? She wasn’t entirely sure if that was going to be something that was in the budget for a while. Turning to look at her bags, then back to the bridge a plan starting to form- “Maybe if I just put on a bunch of layers…” She mumbles to herself, tapping her chin in thought.

Violet jumps several feet in the air when someone behind her clears their throat. Whipping around she sees a tall figure. He was handsome, his features perfectly fitting his face as if he was made to be a model. His eyes and smile screamed cunning, and mischievous. His demeanor was relaxed and composed as he looked at her bags. “Ah,” They mystery man said smoothly. “You must be the new farmer.”

For a moment, Violet contemplates answering. On one hand, he could be the mayor or something! On the other hand, he could be a vampire and just happen to be praying on farmers moving into this town which is why they needed a new one. But he didn’t seem put off by her silence. The man extends his hand, “I’m Balor. A merchant here in Mistria, Lady Adeline sent me to help you.”

She squints momentarily at him. It is broad daylight. Okay, not a vampire. She gives him a warm smile, taking his hand. “I’m Violet. It’s nice to meet you.” She says kindly. “But, uh, how are we gonna get my stuff across the bridge?”

Balor chuckles, a low tone that reverberates through his chest. Violet tries not to blush too much, who knew men could have such attractive laughs? Not her. “That’s easy. But first, let’s handle getting you over.” He offers his hand again like a fairytale prince. Blinking a bit sheepishly as she feels the heat rise in her cheeks, she takes his hand; allowing him to help her jump across.

“So, what about my stuff?” She asks once on the other side.

“Ah, I have my ways. Worry not.” He winks at her. Violet raises an eyebrow.

“You’re just gonna jump ‘crossed it aren’t you?”

“I said I have my ways.” Balor rushes, “We should get you to the farm. I’m sure Adeline and Eiland are waiting for you.” She notes the way the Balor dropped the Lady and Lord from their names. They must be pretty down to earth then. Not like the Royals in the Capital or from her small town.

“So, Violet was it?” Balor asks, a sly smile as he speaks. “Tell me about yourself.”

She shrugs, “Not much to say really. I’m twenty three, needed to get out of my town and found this listing. What better than a new adventure?” Perfect Violet, just like we practiced. She mentally praises herself.

“Hm, interesting.” Balor hums, leading her down to the farm.

Her eyes widen, finally seeing the wooden sign the hung over the entrance. She hadn’t known what to name her farm at first, but since she had planned on making this her little slice of heaven? She ended up with ‘Serenity Farms’ and now, she saw it fully realized. This was it. Her new life. And she was so ready for it.

She had been told to introduce herself. And that was easy! Psh, so, so easy. Until it wasn’t. Standing at the steps of her farm, anxiety gnawed at Violet’s nerves. She needed to make a good first impression. She needed to make sure that everyone here knew she was going to be here to help!

So why couldn’t her damn feet move?! “Okay- okay okay okay-“ Violet breathes. A deep breath for four seconds, holding it before releasing. “I’ve got this. I can do this. Just- keep your mouth shut.” She mumbles to herself. And so, she moved. One step in front of the other before she saw a woman- a beautiful woman. Her as golden as the sun, a face like a day dream. Her whole demeanor screamed innocence, and compassion. You wondered why thier wasn’t birds and wildlife at her side like a fairytale princess. She certainly looked like it.

The woman looked up first, a soft smile gracing her near perfect features. “Oh, hello!” She says kindly, standing from her place in the garden and slipping off the gloves. “You much be the new farmer! I heard you were coming!”

Violets entire brain went numb. What was with this town and all its beautiful people?! Balor? Eiland? Adeline? And now her? What was in the water?! “Yes.” Violet says slowly, tounge thick as her brain forces itself to catch up. “I am the farmer.” She robotically offers her hand to the woman. “Violet.”

“Celine.” She introduces, another gut wrenchingly sweet smile coming across her lips. “It’s a pleasure! My family owns the general store, so if you need anything let us know!” She says kindly.

“Yeah! Yeah of course! I’ll have to stop in and get seeds here soon!” Violet smiles back, “After I introduce myself to the whole town.” She rubs the back of her neck awkwardly.

“Oh my!” Celine exclaims in surprise, “That’s seems like quite the to-do list. Please don’t let me keep you!”

Oh no. She was pretty and considerate. Someone sedate her. Before she can embarrass herself by making a remark along the lines of ”I wouldn’t mind being kept by you.” Violet bids her farewell, heading up the pathway.

She meets Nora, and Holt next. Who she puts together are Celine’s parents, and are also as charming as their daughter. Then she meets Dell, a scrappy little lady who she admires then tenacity of. And then the siblings Maple, who is just an absolute sweetheart, and Luc an absolutely brilliant little man. Hemlock and Josephine are also just as delightful as those younger two, and the warmth they exude makes her want to tell them everything about her day over a bowl of soup.

But Reina? She was jaw droppingly gorgeous. Her sweet demeanor is in tune with Celine’s and you hoped they were friends. If not, you had to make it happen. And the way Reina offered you a bowl of soup- you could have kissed her. She was a breath of fresh air.

Hayden was next, the other Farmer was huge compared to Violet. Looking up at him almost broke her neck, but boy howdy was she not complaining. He looked like if a cowboy was mixed with a teddy bear. She couldn’t help but let the unhinged thoughts of how she’d like to be held in those arms consume her.

And so it went, she met multiple people around the town. Each one as beautiful, or charming as the next. It was really unfair- she thought. How everyone was literally so perfect she couldn’t even begin to imagine how much she’d have to hold back her unhinged thoughts. They couldn’t know that about her yet.

But there was one person she had yet to meet. March? At least that’s what Orlic said his brothers name was, and he was up at the forge. A blacksmith- she thought. How neat! So, with a pep in her step she cheerfully makes her way over to introduce herself.

The clanging of metal made it easy to follow, Violet watched as his muscles moved with each lift of the hammer, and each hit of the forge. Her eyes unable to tear away from his back and how it worked to help with the powerful strikes. Oh. She felt her cheeks start to heat from the ideas running around in her head.

“Take a picture it lasts longer.” March- presumably- snaps. He doesn’t look at her, he continues to examine the piece of metal that he was working on.

Shaking her head, Violet uses that as a way to introduce herself. “Sorry, I didn’t want to interrupt.” She smiles, holding her hand out to him. “I’m Violet, the new farmer.”

March barely spared a glance at her. “That’s nice. I don’t remember asking.”

She blinks. “The proper introduction is to tell me your name.” She frowns, lowering her hand and crossing her arms.

March sighs, setting down the metal and turning toward her. His eyes widening slightly, standing in front of him was the most attractive woman he’d ever seen. He wasn’t the tallest man around, but she was small. How the hell could she farm if she was that small?! She barely came up to his shoulders! And her face, furrowed brows, amazingly bright purple eyes, a scrunch of her nose and a pout on perfectly pink lips. What the fuck?! Why- he needed to be away from you. And fast.

“I’m March. Now go away.” He barks. “Don’t bother me.”

Violet frowns deeper. But she keeps her mouth closed. “Yeah. It was nice meeting you.” She grumbles as she walks away.

March looks back at her. Taking in more of her. Her ashy blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail that left just a few tendrils and her bangs in her face. She was wearing a striped shirt with a denim overall skirt. Fucking- knee highs?!? Was she trying to kill him?! How the hell could she farm in that?! Weren’t farmers supposed to look like Hayden? Rugged and burly? And so totally not his type?! What the fuck!
