5 Shows Rules:
Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions.
Don’t cheat. Tag 10 (or however many) peeps.
Tagged by @rubadubdub3nunsinatub
I’m going to have to chose a few old faves, rewatches, and new because I’m not watching many new things.
My Shows:
Stargate franchise (because I’m a gater... and gaters gonna gate)
Leverage redemption (I’ve watched it 3 times already!! I love that my babies are back!)
Ray Donovan (I’ve just started a rewatch of this show... and it’s so good)
Sanctuary
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
Questions:
Who is your favourite character in 2? C’mon! That’s not fair!! How am I to chose between my favorite criminals?! Ok, I’ll say Sophie. I’ve really loved her this season, she was really great.
Who is your least favourite character in 1? McKay. Doesn’t matter how many times I rewatch, I still feel ambivalent about him. I like him but he annoys me... lots....
What is your favourite episode of 4? The one when Helen and Tesla investigate the map to find the underground city. I loved that story line. I don’t remember the name of the episode, it’s season 3, I know that.
What is your favourite season of 5? Season 3 but closely followed by the second part of season 2..
Who is your favourite couple in 3? Bad question for a show about family drama and trauma, with few relationships and many of them toxic or with toxic behaviours. I really liked Abby/Ray in season 5 or Ray/Molly in season 7.
Who is your favourite couple in 2? Parker/Hardison. They’re awesome!!!!
What is your favourite season of 1? I really love season 6 of SG1 with Jonas, and S1 of SGA.
What is your favourite episode of 5? Unnatural habits, when Phryne and Jack go against the white ivory trade.
What is your favourite episode of 2? The one in the train!!! The great train job
How long have you watched 1? Since it came out... I don’t think I want to remember how long is that...
How did you become interested in 3? I remember it from when it aired in TV and recently remembered it and needed a rewatch. It’s a great show.
Who is your favourite actor in 4? Amanda Tapping... I mean she is the Grand Empress of Scifi
Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? I can’t chose... ok. Right now, probably because it’s been out a short time and I’m super excited about their return: 2
Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? I’ve seen both shows fully. 1 has more episodes and I’ve watched it more times. I’m only doing a rewatch of 3 now and I’m in season 1. So I’m going to say 1.
If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? Henry Foss, he was awesome
Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Maybe... I guess Ray could help Helen stay hidden... or punch something... IDK. As a fanfic writer I believe everything is possible, you just need the right idea.
Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple I think Zelenka and Novak would be a weird but fun couple.
Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? I don’t think they can be compared much... I’m going to say 5 because Phryne is awesome.
Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4? I think 2.
What is your favourite episode of 3? I’m only in season 1 in the rewatch so I’m going to chose from that (I remember there were really awesome episodes later on but I can’t chose, I don’t remember well enough) and I’m going to say... Bridget or Road trip... Road Trip, it’s lost of fun to watch.
Tagging @1989nihil , @angelblaze , @captain-grammar @stargateforever and anyone else who wants to play

The Monday Menu
Week 2 of August, next week I start back to work... teacher workdays, but still...
So, what news...? I FINALLY did it. I cut myself free from a certain horrible fic website. Deleted ALL my fics, and I’m just waiting for them to tell me how to close the account, and it will all be gone. (There’s no button to do that.) Fear not, however, I am moving everything to AO3. Some of the great exodus has begun already, I’m working through a Stargate Atlantis fic, and a UC: Undercover fic right now, and the others will come in time.
I wrote a little bit last week about how I feel guilty when I indulge myself an allow myself to write. I know I shouldn’t. It’s a HUGE part of my self-care routine, but I still do. So if anyone catches me doing that guilt thing - please call me out.
Still waiting on those Behind the Scenes requests? Also, nothing happened on Thursday or Saturday last week because I didn’t get any prompts for TTT or Saturday Secret. Sad really. Is the fandom sleeping?
Here’s the plan for this week (and an explanation of each thing for those that are new to my Tumblr), though I might be making some changes.
Monday - The Monday Menu - what it says on the box. A plan for the week.
Tuesday - TMI Tuesday. - Ask me… go on, anything. Ask my characters -they’ll answer. Nothing is off limits, but be sure you want the answer before you ask the question.
Wednesday - WIP Wednesday - Current state of my works in progress. So many - and still clmbing!
Thursday - Three Things Thursday - any fic of mine is fair game. Doesn’t have to be Rumbelle, I have Rushbelle, a bunch of crossovers, some shows people might no know, some ST: DSC, some SGA and some Tolkien too… ask three things, I dare ya…! Please… This is also the day I’ll do the ‘Behind the Scenes’ post, which might just end up as part of the TTT post.
Friday - Final Line Friday. - Assuming I manage to write anything, I will post a word cloud, and the last line that I have written right before I post this.
Saturday - Saturday Secret - another one of those where you can ask about any fic, and I’ll tell (or show) you a secret. Feel free to follow up with conversation or guesses. I will tell you if you get something right. Again, no one took me up on the offer… so we might also have to think of another ‘SA’ post.
Sunday - Seven Sentence Sunday. - yeah, I have to write something to be able to post this.
Writing this week - Disparate Pathways is at the head of the list, followed by Not Yours to Keep, and then maybe if there’s time, What the Actual Fuck! I’m also being poked at about a fic that has the working Title “Only Remembered for What We Have Done.” I think that title is likely to change, but probably not by much. You might get to see chapter 1 of that fic sooner than I had anticipated.
As always my inbox is open for thoughts, questions, asks… I don’t restrict people to any particular day of the week, and I - like most fic authors - love to discuss things to do with fics and fandom.
I just want to add a shout out to those readers who have left me Kudos these last several days. It has not gone un-noticed. love you guys for those votes of confidence..
Talk to me, peeps! My inbox is lonely,

Dirt (106)
FFNet Favs:
The Asgard Sequence (SG-1) (150) – this fic is 17 years old
Spectator (ST:TOS) (73)

Stars (SG-1) (0)
Lowest Thunderbirds fic is Gumnut’s wereVirgil AU ficlets (1)
5. Which Fic has the most comments and which has the least?
This stat will always be skewed by the multi-chapter fics and wonderful peeps comment on each of the chapters.
Ao3 Comment Threads:
Gumnut’s Thunderbirds Ficlet Collection (164) followed by We’ll Be Home For Christmas (79) both of which have more comments than kudos, apparently.
12 fics have 0 comments
FFNet:
The Asgard Sequence (SG-1)(133) followed by Tales of Warm Rain (105)
11 fics have 1 review, 0 have none (wow).
6. Which complete fic do you wish had gotten more attention?
I am grateful for any and all kind interaction with my fics. One thing I did eye was the difference between Callisto and Where There Be Dragons. Callisto is an experiment on my part and has received some amazing support from Thunderfam. However, I feel my writing hasn’t been as inspired (or crazy) or posted fast enough to garner and keep attention. The Steampunk AU grabbed much more attention, had zero planning, was written fast and on the fly and grabbed almost the same amount of attention. The Promotions Coordinator in me is curious about these things :D
7. Have you written any crossovers?
Only one. I wanted to put Virgil behind the wheel of Kitt from Knight Rider. Eos and Kitt were having very interesting interactions as well :D I really Need Saving
8. What is the craziest fic you’ve written?
Um…there have been a few. From Tracy brothers dancing to Tom Jones, the time a drunk Scott and Virgil tried to save a cat from a tree, hospitalising Virgil because of Grandma’s chilli, and the time I jammed Thunderbird One in the pool, but my favourite has to be Prank War. It was so much fun. I’ve linked all the nutty fics together in a series on Ao3.
9. What’s the fic you’ve written with the saddest ending?
The saddest endings are all my WiPs! I don’t tend to do much in the way of sad endings. Sad fics, yes, endings, not so much. Having said that, I’m blaming @godsliltippy for Leaf on the Wind.
10. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
I don’t have a clue, but I am partial to the end of Dirt. I got to flex Tracy money muscle…a lot :D
11. What is your smuttiest fic?
I experimented in this arena during my Virgil/Kayo writing spree with varying success. There is about five I think in total, including the novel length Gentle Rain (which can be read without it, wasn’t planned and just happened), but I think the most successful was To Hurt Us (aka Veggie’s Shower Fic).
12. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Very, very rarely. I did receive one review once that complained about how many unfinished fics I had – that more were unfinished than finished. This triggered me a bit as this is an ongoing problem of mine and I struggle to focus long enough to complete works. Having said that I have completed several, for me, long fics, my longest being 68,000 words. Also, as a result of that and my distressed post about it (yeah, triggered, what can I say?) I received some amazing support both on and off Tumblr. Thunderfam rocks!
13. What is the nicest comment you’ve received?
I am seriously spoilt by Thunderfam on a regular basis, there have been many comments that have lifted my spirits, inspired me and just made my day so much better. Again, Thunderfam rock!
14. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I’m jaded, so I wouldn’t be surprised. But one thing I actually like is when some random thing I threw into a fic pops up in fanon :D
15. How many fics do you have marked as incomplete?
I’m not counting. I refuse :P
16. Which of the WIPS will most likely be finished first?
Not looking. I can’t hear you. Lalalalalalala!
17. Which WIP are you looking forward to finishing?
All of them. Yes, I am deluded. But to start is fun, to finish is ecstasy.
18. Is there a WIP that you’re considering abandoning?
Several. I don’t have as much time as I would like. My muse is fickle and I have to learn to let go, or face muse crippling stress.
19. Which complete fic would you consider rewriting?
None. I don’t rewrite. Don’t have the patience or motivation.
20. Which complete fic is your favourite?
We’ll Be Home For Christmas for multiple reasons, but I also love V.T. Green (and want to write sequels for both)
21. What’s your total published word count?
Ao3: 1,079,768
FF.net: 1,392,681
If someone is brand new to your writing, what work would you want them to start with to get to know you, your style, what you’re all about?
My two favourite fics, maybe? Though admittedly my writing can be rather variable and inconsistent. Anyone got any suggestions which of my fics demonstrates my style?
Other answers to this tag game (because the post is massively long):

October Fics Day 24: Leaves
Pairing: Teyla Emmagen/Elizabeth Weir
Rating: G
Words: 914
Summary: New England isn't exactly the Grand Canyon, but it has its charms. Elizabeth shares a part of her childhood and Teyla enjoys a latte.
A/N: A day late and a dollar short!
Read on AO3 or below!
“Well, I’ll admit it seemed more spectacular in my memory,” Elizabeth winced.
It was a beautiful September morning, brisk and bright. The sun was shining in a clear sky, birds were singing and the view was… well, it was fine.
“It is lovely, Elizabeth. It reminds me of the trees near harvest on Diurne. Or Drif. Or Baros. Or-” Teyla teased, hiding a laugh behind her coffee cup.
“Yes, yes, I get it. Next time I’ll take you to see the Grand Canyon,” Elizabeth responded wryly, pinching Teyla’s side, laughing at her partner’s undignified squawk and the resulting cuff to her own head.
It felt surprisingly natural to see Teyla here, standing at the state park’s scenic overlook, not far from the trails Elizabeth’s family had visited every fall during her childhood. Beautiful as always, Earth suited Teyla. The light hiking pants, the long sleeved shirt, the deep purple fleece vest, even the disposable coffee cup - they all should have looked out of place on a woman used to leathers and natural fibers, hewn wood and carved stones.
But somehow, Teyla looked like she belonged in this world. Like she had stepped through the Stargate, from Pegasus straight into an LL Bean catalogue.
“So people truly travel here, just to see the leaves?” Teyla asked, in that polite, arch way that sometimes left Elizabeth feeling unrefined, uneducated, as if she hadn’t received two PhDs and command of a major, classified government base by the age of 30.
“A lot of people in the United States live in large cities, where access to nature might be limited, or even impossible. We believe it does the soul good to get out of those cities, reconnect with the natural world. And the colors can be brilliant, at the right time of year. I’m afraid I may have mistimed this trip.”
From the bluff, they looked out over the valley, a sweeping view of blue skies, and just about to turn trees. Elizabeth had envisioned a symphony of red and gold, a quiet moment of reverence shared with her partner, maybe a chai-spiced kiss.
Instead, the view was mostly green, a little gold, and some brown. The occasional, brilliant splash of red peeped through, a hint of what was to come, but it must have been an unusually late season for the leaves this year, or perhaps Elizabeth had remembered wrong.
She’d visited this park with her parents, more than once as a child. Her father would wake her, on a cool Saturday morning, sometime in October, bundle her up and into the car, pressing a hot chocolate into her sleepy hands. They’d drive out of the city, her mother fiddling with the radio, stopping when she came across some Carole King, or later Joni Mitchell. As the concrete pavement gave way to swathes of grass and water, as they followed the wending river further upstate, everything felt lighter, more alive.
Elizabeth remembered; her father telling jokes and laughing about meetings that earlier in the week had left him raging, her mother singing along lightly, pointing out the swooping birds of prey when they circled high above. Elizabeth’s own delight when she caught sight of a deer, leaping through the woods on the side of the road - fast, agile, gone in a second, before her mother could spot it, as though it was her own private secret.
When they’d finally pull into the park, the sun high in the sky, golden leaves raining down around them. The delicious stretch of her legs after hours in the car, running off down the trailhead, her sneakers padding down on a carpet of bright, decaying red leaves.
They would hike until they hit the waterfall, and Elizabeth would climb into the caves behind it, shout at her parents through the cold running water. Her mother still had a photo somewhere, she thought, Elizabeth standing triumphant on a high rock, bold and brave, having climbed partway up the falls - back then she never worried about tumbling down, imbued with the blind invulnerability of little children.
They’d eat lunch at the picnic tables, near the parking lot, packed sandwiches and bags of chips and small, cold cans of soda. The drive back was always quieter, more subdued, and Elizabeth would nap, forehead pressed against the cool window, only nodding awake when her father pulled into the local farmstands, her mother nipping out to buy fresh fruit, apple butter and preserves.
Elizabeth was pulled from her memory by Teyla’s chin propped up against her shoulder, her arms winding tight around her waist.
“It is lovely, Elizabeth. I am just happy that you finally have had the chance to share the wonders of your own world with me.”
“I’m not sure that leaf peeping is exactly a wonder of Earth,” Elizabeth laughed. “Although maybe a dirty chai latte is, if the sounds you were making earlier were any indication.”
Teyla laughed, pressed a sticky kiss to the corner of Elizabeth’s mouth, before heading towards the trailhead.
“Come on! I believe I was promised a beautiful waterfall?” Teyla smirked. Elizabeth strode forward, her hiking boots kicking up dried leaves as she moved to catch up.
Teyla stopped and looked back, smiling. Golden leaves drifted down all around her, the light catching in her hair, beaming down through the gaps in the trees.
The Grand Canyon could wait, Elizabeth decided, as she crunched down the trail, tangled her fingers with Teylas and tugged her into the woods.

Thanks for the tag @logicgunn. Sorry it took me ages to get it done.
Zodiac: Aquarius
Height: 5.5 and a half (that half is important)
Last thing I googled: Icecrown Rares Loot drops for World of Warcraft
Song stuck in my head: Godhead’s version of Eleanor Rigby
Number of followers: 376
Amount of sleep: Anything between 4 - 6 hours. Seriously not enough.
Lucky number: Not sure I’m ever lucky but if i’m picking numbers for things it would be 8 or 4.
Favourite song: This is hard. It’s ever changing but Imagine by John Lennon is always a favourite. At the moment I can’t get enough of Attention Attention by Shinedown.
Favourite instrument: My daughter plays Flute so I’d say that.
Dream job: Archaeoligist/Historian (NOT like the awful Neil Oliver). I love History but my memory isn’t so great. So while I retain all the useless but interesting facts I tend to forget a lot of the important ones. As for Archaeologist? I’m really interested in it (NOT anything like Time Team ffs). I’ve watched a dig at Vindolanda. It was fascinating. My kids weren’t so enthusiastic about watching peeps digging in the dirt though so we spent much more time investigating the ruins and museum. Which was all good.
Aesthetic: I dunno. I’m an old Rocker if that helps explain anything
Favourite author: Terry Pratchett
Favourite animal noises: Hmmm Whale or Cat purrs
Random: This will probably get me kicked right out the Stargate fandom. I’m not a fan of anything to do with Ancient Egypt. It’s my least favourite Historical subject but yet I LOVE Stargate so much and there may be more than a little about the subject involved in that. I voluntarily dragged my Mother to the cinema to see the film (and btw she fell asleep less than 20 minutes into it) and came out totally in love with Stargate but yet still not anything to do with Ancient Egypt.

Blu-ray Review: Olivia
Following the success of his 1980 slasher The Boogeyman, filmmaker Ulli Lommel quickly turned his sights to a sequel. While prepping the followup - which would come to fruition as Boogeyman II in 1983 - Lommel began conceiving the idea for a different kind of horror film: Olivia. Although commonly cited as a 1983 release, Vinegar Syndrome’s research has yielded evidence of screenings as early as 1981. The film was also released in the U.S. as Taste of Sin and internationally under the alternate titles Prozzie and Double Jeopardy.
Lommel re-teamed with many of the players from The Boogeyman, including his then-wife and muse, Suzanna Love, in the lead role. As a result of filming in both the UK and the US along with reshoots and Lommel's temper, the film has five credited cinematographers: Jochen Breitenstein (The Boogeyman), David Sperling (The Boogeyman), Jon Kranhouse (Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives), Jürg V. Walther (Blood Diner), and Lommel himself. Joel Goldsmith (Stargate SG-1, Laserblast) - eldest son of legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith - crafted an ominous score that aids the atmosphere.
The film opens with a prologue that introduces the titular character at 5 years old. Olivia has a tendency to peep through the keyhole into her mother's (Bibbe Hansen) bedroom as she "entertains" gentleman, only to one day witness a particularly kinky man kill her. 15 years later, Olivia (Love) is trapped in a loveless marriage to and abusive husband, Richard (Jeff Winchester), and haunted by her mother, convincing her to avenge her death. She turns to prostitution and murders her first john in cold blood, convinced he's the man that killed her mother.
Olivia falls for her next client, Mike (Robert Walker Jr., Easy Rider), an American engineer in London. Olivia is caught in a perverse love triangle until Richard picks a fight with Mike and ends up being thrown off of London Bridge. The distraught Olivia runs away to America to start a new life. Around the halfway mark, the film jumps another four years into the future. Mike runs into Olivia, who now goes by Jenny and lost her British accent, in Arizona. Unbelievably, she doesn't recognize him, and they start to fall for one another all over again - but the horror is not over.
Written by Lommel, John P. Marsh, and Ron Norman, Olivia is difficult to classify. The prologue seems to be laying the groundwork for a horror movie, only to mutate into a psycho-sexual thriller. The midsection then leans heavily into melodrama. Lommel flirts with his slasher roots at the turn of the third act with a memorable death by electric toothbrush. The film ultimately concludes with a weak attempt at digging into the psychological aspects.
The tonal shifts do benefit Olivia, however. At 85 minutes, it's briskly paced and never predictable. Lommel was reportedly influenced by Alfred Hitchcock's work, but Olivia shares more in common with Hitchcock's de facto successor, Brian De Palma. There are shades of Obsession and Body Double (although the latter came after Olivia), yet Lommel is not as cerebral and certainly not as focused as De Palma.
Olivia is available as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack from Vinegar Syndrome. The uncensored version has been restored in 4k from its 35mm original camera negative, marking the first time it has been available since VHS. The first reel of the negative suffered minor moisture damage in storage, so occasional staining is present to avoid compromising the grain structure. Furthermore, audio for the uncut segments was sourced from video. These intrusions are minimal, and such damage seems befitting of the lurid picture.
The discs feature new interviews with Love, who discusses her relationship with Lommel - including his unfaithfulness - and working on low budget movies; Marsh, who wore many hats on the film (writer, assistant director, set decorator, background actor) and credits Norman for adding the psycho-sexual elements to the script; Kranhouse, who explains how he was hired as a gaffer but replaced Breitenstein after a disagreement with Lommel; and editor/co-producer Terrell Tannen, who shares insight into the film's origins and inspirations. Also included are 20 minutes of Super 8mm behind-the-scenes footage shot by Marsh, who provides intermittent narration, and the trailer.
Olivia is available now on Blu-ray/DVD via Vinegar Syndrome.

TV Show Quiz
okay, so about a millennia ago @sebsdaniel tagged me to do this ♥ sorry, for being a messy dumbo and only getting around to do doing this right now, when you tagged me I had actually been on a service station in Germany or France and then forgot all about it even thought I remember thinking that this could be fun!
Fun may commence now:
Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don’t cheat. Tag 10 peeps:
Tagging: @bloodybroadchurch @juri-andthemoon @inappropriatestork @gingercrowley @luluxa @leepala @onlyailisha @robin-frijns @tyretracks-andbrokenhearts @bebananaslikethehulk
1. Stargate Atlantis 2. Good Omens 3. Avatar The Last Airbender 4. Broadchurch 5. The X-Files
1. Who is your favourite character in 2?
I thiiink, it’s probably Crowley. I just adore his awkwardness, and GQ energy, along with his style and love for his car.
2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?
eeeeh, Jennifer Keller probably. I never really grew that fond of her and when she was reduced to pretty much a forced love interst ...
3. What is your favourite episode of 4?
I am somewhere in the middle of Season 2, so I gotta say it’s probably the last episode of S1 because of this conclusion and how soft Hardy becomes.
4. What is your favourite season of 5?
3rd of 4th
5. Who is your favourite couple in 3?
I must admit that I don’t really ship anyone in Avatar. I don’t mind the couples that we see, so yeah ... none but also all of the canon ones ??
6. Who is your favourite couple in 2?
oh no, who could that be? Guess it might be Crowley and Aziraphale
7. What is your favourite episode of 1?
Depends what I want. Echos is pretty great because it’s “easy drama”, The Siege is superb for action drama, while Sunday is for broken hearts.
8. What is your favourite episode of 5?
I hate to admit it but all X Files episodes just melt together in my mind as one happy X-Files mystery. I have no idea.
9. What is your favourite season of 2?
1 of .... 1
10. How long have you watched 1?
A G E S ... I think I started with 16. I made gifs of it in 2013, and that was already re-watching. So yeah, ages.
11. How did you become interested in 3?
During a sleepover, the others had to watch this new episode of this show called “Avatar” - mind me, we were 13/14 - and I had no clue. But it looked fun, so when I needed something to watch during summer, I decided to search for it and fell in love as well.
12. Who is your favourite actor in 4?
I side with Imaani, though it’s a different show, and go with David Tennant as well
13. Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
At this moment 2. SGA and XF have become comfort food shows, old loves that you can always rekindle.
14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3 ?
One, simply because it has more episodes. (20x5 versus ~20x3)
15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Funnily enough @bloodybroadchurch and I had this discussion today that we were both DI’s but she bailed out at needing a case that would ruin our mental health ... so, idk
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
noooo, but I’d love to see someone try
17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
Ronon and Rodney.
18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
Avatar (3) because it is written as a three arch story line. While The X-Files lived from season to season and was renewed so yeah ... it shows.
19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?
Good Omens (2) ... I am not sure you can beat some iconic scenes with Queen blasting in the background.
Thank youuu so much again and sorry for being late ...

tv show quiz
I was tagged by my beautiful @fleurdeneuf ! Thank you! Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don’t cheat. Tag 10 peeps.
Supernatural
Stargate Universe
Once Upon a Time
Black Sails
The 100
1. Who is your favorite character in 2?
Always and forever, my baby, my love, Dr. Nicholas Rush:
2. Who is your least favorite character in 1?
Gods, I don’t know if I have one! All the recurring characters---even the ones I didn’t like, initially---grew on me so much I grew to like them! Or they were given such a good storyline, I found it impossible NOT to like them. Maybe---if I HAVE to choose---Jack Kline? [Don’t be mad at me!]
3. What is your favorite episode of 4?
Oh, wow. That’s really hard! . . . Maybe the opener of Black Sails season 2, “IX.” That was EXPLOSIVE. And not (yet) too angsty, that I remember.
4. What is your favorite season of 5?
Whichever one had the most Roan kom Azgeda in it. Season 4, I think, is my choice. I really liked him (and thus, Azgeda) being their ally.
5. Who is your favorite couple in 3?
Rumbelle! Rumplestiltskin and Belle, Beauty and the Beast:
6. Who is your favorite couple in 2?
Dr. Amanda Perry and Dr. Nicholas Rush:
7. What is your favorite episode of 1?
Oh, wow. Way too many to pick just one! Supernatural has been running for fourteen seasons! One that stands out is “Swan Song,” the finale of the 5th season, the one with the Impala side story, narrated by Chuck. That one tugs at the heartstrings.
8. What is your favorite episode of 5?
Maybe season 4, episode 6? “We Will Rise,” when they still had a tiny smidgeon of hope, and Roan got to be a complete badass, flying through the air from truck-to-truck, with his knives out. What a beautiful moment.
9. What is your favorite season of 2?
Well, since SGU only had TWO seasons, that’s really difficult. I loved s1 for the setup, and I loved s2 because it got more plotty and exciting. Can’t really choose one!
10. How long have you watched 1?
Since season 3, but, of course I’ve seen them all, now.
11. How did you become interested in 3?
Someone I followed posted a lot of gifsets of OUaT, and I eventually read a fanfic rec because of @licieoic, then I fell down the rabbit hole, hard, and HAD to watch the show! I got a late start in the fall of 2014, when it was about to go on midseason hiatus. I had to catch up fast to watch that one!
12. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
They’re all AMAZING and talented, especially Toby Stephens, but I drooled over Zach MacGowan.
13. Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
Stargate Universe, #2. We were robbed! Robbed, I tell you!
14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3 ?
#3 is over with, and #1 is not. Going off of pure numbers, definitely #1, because Supernatural’s been running fourteen seasons, compared to OUaT’s seven.
15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Eleanor, because she’s a complete badass, plus she gets to bang Captain Charles Vane (although she makes some questionable choices later on).
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
Once Upon a Time and Black Sails? I think so, since many of the characters in Black Sails are characters from Treasure Island, and Once Upon a Time was about not only fairytales, but all sorts of written stories.
17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
First!Ruby and Dean Winchester. I could see Dean going for a hot blonde demon who was full of sass. Yep.
18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
#5. Once Upon a Time took a steep nosedive after the first 3-1/2 seasons. It was passable after that, but aggravating.
19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?
That’s tough, because I really do like the theme from SGU (especially the guitar chord when the ship appears---I’m such a sap), but Black Sails has better theme music, overall. Bear McCreary’s music is so memorable, with the use of the hurdy-gurdy.

I haven’t done one of these for ages, so here goes! Tagged by the lovely @galactic-pirates
Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don’t cheat. Tag 10 peeps.
Lost
Once Upon A Time
Dead Like Me
Stargate Universe
BoJack Horseman
1. Who is your favorite character in 2?
Eeee, it’s a toss up between Belle and Rumpel, with either one of them taking the top spot depending on how out of character the other one is acting at the time...
2. Who is your least favorite character in 1?
Jack. I know he’s the hero and he did eventually grow on me a bit by the end of season 6, but some of his behaviour towards the women he’s in romantic relationships with really raises red flags for me and unfortunately it’s not something that I can unsee.
3. What is your favorite episode of 4?
S2 Ep4 Pathogen. Super touching stuff with Eli and his mum, and Chloe/Rush bonding. What more can you want?
4. What is your favorite season of 5?
Season 5. It’s a good season for ace representation which is an issue close to my heart; it also ties up a bunch of loose ends from earlier in the series, and the characters all come to various crisis points. I hope there’s a sixth.
5. Who is your favorite couple in 3?
There aren’t really any canon romantic relationships in DLM, but I love the bro-ship between Rube and Roxy.
6. Who is your favorite couple in 2?
RUMBELLE. Without a doubt. Absolutely 100%.
7. What is your favorite episode of 1?
Oh man, there are so many! Although I think the season six finale The End. I know that Lost has one of the most divisive endings in history, but I loved it. I also love season 1’s Do No Harm, season 3′s Par Avion, season 5′s LaFleur and season 4′s The Constant.
8. What is your favorite episode of 5?
I like most of the episodes, but special mention to season 5′s Free Churro for keeping me completely interested despite it being entirely a monologue in a single location.
9. What is your favorite season of 2?
One. Everything got established, everyone was introduced, there was still the ongoing season-long storyline of the curse still being in place, and of course, the best 45 minutes of TV ever created, Skin Deep.
10. How long have you watched 1?
I discovered it in 2017, long after it finished airing, and I binged the entire 6 seasons on 4 separate weekends.
11. How did you become interested in 3?
Woah, this is a long story. Ages ago I used to buy the odd film/tv magazine for interviews with actors I liked when they had new films coming out. Many many years back, I was in a Hugh Jackman phase and Van Helsing was coming out, so this was what, 2002/2003 ish? Anyway, I bought the sci-fi magazine Starburst and it had, among other things, a more in depth feature and episode guide to Dead Like Me. It stuck with me for ages and many, many years later, I decided ‘hey, lets watch it’. This was in 2016...
12. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
Robert Carlyle is the reason I started watching it, so I’ll have to go for him. Ming-Na Wen is also amazing.
13. Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
Argh, it’s a toss up between Lost and Once. With Lost, I have seen every episode, but there are a lot of bits that I can take or leave and a lot of bits I’m ambivalent about and a lot of bits I didn’t like. With Once, I feel a lot more strongly about it but I skipped three seasons in the middle because I got so angry with it.
I honestly can’t decide.
14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3 ?
Well, if we’re going by numbers of episodes, then Lost, just because there are more episodes (120, to DLM’s 32) but I have seen every episode of both shows, so on percentages of episodes seen, they’re both on 100.
15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
TJ. She’s smart, she’s kind, she takes no shit.
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
No. They’re just way too different in tone. I mean, theoretically, yes, because the DLM mythology can fit into pretty much any setting at all. Death is the one constant in everything. But DLM is a pitch black comedy and SGU is a sci-fi drama. I can’t even begin to imagine it.
17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
I mean, with Lost, pretty much anyone is fair game with anyone, but one rarepair I love that no-one else seems to is Desmond/Claire. When you look at their interactions in the season 2 finale and in season 3′s Par Avion, and all of their interactions in the flash sideways in season 6, it’s really clear to me that they have a lot going for them.
18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
BoJack, definitely. BoJack has several ongoing plot threads and they’re always revisited and tied up, even seasons later. DLM is much more episodic with less focus on an ongoing plot. That’s not to say it’s not enjoyable, but it’s not really a storyline-based show.
19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?
Neither of them really have theme music...
I’m terrible with tagging, so have at it if you want to, peeps!

I got tagged in a thing! :) thanks @pinchtheprincess :) :)
Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don’t cheat. Tag 10 peeps.
The Librarians
Warehouse 13
Once Upon a Time
Stargate SG-1
Killjoys
1. Who is your favorite character in 2?
I have to pick one? Ok well I’m going for HG Wells but seriously HG and Myka are a pair *nods*
2. Who is your least favorite character in 1?
Least favourite on the show that makes me happy? the show that is made of pure joy? Oh that’s hard. That’s really hard. I suppose maybe I wasn’t all that fond of Nicole and I do have a bit of a love-to-conspiracy with Judson.
3. What is your favorite episode of 4?
Failsafe possibly. “Cut the red wire.” “Carter they are all yellow”. It was a stand-alone, riding an asteroid through Earth. I don’t know it was just fun and the first one that came to mind. I could do a really long list.
4. What is your favorite season of 5?
Season 1 probably. I did like the whole “bounty hunters in space” thing which has been background to the whole “war against the green” since then.
5. Who is your favorite couple in 3?
They are why I’m on tumblr. Without them ... my life would be drastically different. #Rumbelle all the way!
6. Who is your favorite couple in 2?
OMG YES! Sorry I did say Myka and HG were a pair :)
Oh I ship them so hard. I love them so much! Bering and Wells guys!!!
7. What is your favorite episode of 1?
Erm every single episode? Seriously I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched this show. It is just made of happy. I suppose if I absolutely had to pick I would go for the season two premiere. It’s just “your average tuesday” :)
8. What is your favorite episode of 5?
Oh difficult. Erm. I tend to binge watch this show so they kinda blend. The one that is coming to mind was the one with the acid rain in season one. Johnny is trapped at The Royal with a hostage situation and he has to help Pawter (I ship them) and then at the end he’s reading a comic and Dutch joins him so there’s a great friendship moment as well. All the characters get a turn, Pree and Alvis are there. Although I do like the episode earlier in the season with that warrant invite party when they are chasing down Big Joe and so the boys do a team-up with Fancy because Dutch is being blackmailed by Khlyen, it was a good insight into the RAC.
9. What is your favorite season of 2?
Season 2! That was the big HG Wells season :) She was also in season 3 (some amazing amazing Bering and Wells stuff) and I have to be honest I haven’t seen season 4 and 5 because all the Bering and Wells stuff and HG’s sacrifice in the season 3 finale gave me so many feels I haven’t felt up to continuing. I mean how could the show top that?
10. How long have you watched 1?
It’s been about a year as I discovered it last summer. Unfortunately that was about the same time it was cancelled :( so four seasons is the lot. So sad because the show was so brilliant, I would have watched it for infinity.
11. How did you become interested in 3?
I got netflix to watch Daredevil, as it was a marvel show and I’m a marvel fan. I didn’t actually like Daredevil in the end but at the time as I had the sub I wanted to find more stuff on Netflix to make it worth it. I scrolled through and tried a dozen shows. Once Upon a Time hooked me in the first 5 seconds with the production value, the sunlight on the water as Charming rode the horse along that causeway... I’m not 100% sure what kept me watching initially as my memory is tainted by my present feelings. I think maybe I was just intrigued by the concept. Anyway this was when season 4 was going on I think, and I caught up over the summer and started season 5 with everyone else.
12. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
Amanda Tapping probably, purely because I think she’s one of the few I’ve seen in other things. Plus she plays my favourite character so /shrug
13. Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
The Librarians #1 hard to vote against Bering and Wells but it’s a pairing against an entire show and The Librarians is just ... well it’s not perfection because there are things I would have done differently but it doesn’t make me annoyed, it doesn’t frustrate me, it just makes me happy.
14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3 ?
Once Upon a Time simply because they made more. Once had what 22 episodes a season? And The Librarians had 10, apart from season 4 which had 12, and I watched 6 seasons of Once and The Librarians only had 4 so yeah math - Once.
15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Haha oh man talk about fate making #4 be for this question. I have often said that Samantha Carter is my role model, so yeah hands down no question.
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
Once and Stargate? It’s problematic because of the whole magic on Earth thing. I suppose perhaps if it had stayed only working within the town line, and there was a bubble around the town, then it could be said that the rules of physics had been altered due to some kind of phase distortion. Magic is after all science we don’t understand yet to paraphrase that famous quote, plus the whole magic bean portal thing - portal to other lands, other worlds - does fit with Stargate a bit. Then I suppose the characters embodying the fairytale, is a bit like the goa’uld and the various mythologies on Earth.
So maybe?
17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
Unlikely but ok? Erm well according to The Librarians ship-a-thon, pretty much any character can be shipped with another. I’m struggling to find one that is unlikely AND ok because it’s one or the other. I don’t know. Sorry I’m coming up empty on this one.
18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
Killjoys. I don’t understand where they are going with it (season 5 is airing soon and it’s the last season so all will be revealed!) but I have faith that it will make sense and be ok. The show is complex but repeated rewatches have shown more foreshadowing than I had previously thought. Once Upon a Time was an amazing premise, the actual storyline not so much.
19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?
Well they are both very good but we’re talking “Stargate, it's a great big whirl With a great big swirl to step inside to another world”
Tagging: Erm everyone? Because this question list is awesome! :)
Specifically: @mariequitecontrarie, @worryinglyinnocent, @little-inkstone, @sarashouldbestudying, @urban-trek-thru-middle-earth, @of-princes-and-savages, @jackabelle73

TMI Tuesday
Good morning, peeps...
Apologies first: Those of you waiting on the next chapter of Not Yours To Keep, please bear with me. It’s coming.
Also, I didn’t post a Monday Menu yesterday. The beginning of the school year always disrupts things a little bit until I get all my ducks in a row and manage to find a work/life balance again. Rest assured, fics are /still/ being worked on, just REALLY slowly right now, which is frustrating because the possums are rattling the bars of their cages, and a couple of them have their teeth clamped on a couple of things I wouldn’t have expected.
Posted this week:
This week I posted:
.Disparate Pathways - Chapter 45
Gold has a past, a past that he has rejected, but it seems one that will not let him go. Belle, daughter of Governor Maurice French has been kidnapped, along with her mother, and just as the authorities raid the organization that is holding her hostage, decides to make her own bid for freedom, unknowingly derailing an undercover sting, and Agent Milnor has not choice but to take her into ‘protective custody,’ but is he all that he seems? As the threads of the story grow more tangled and the threat to Belle, and to Gold, her appointed protector, grow ever more real, a growing, mutual attraction makes everything far more desperate and far too personal for Gold to ignore what he knows to be the truth.
On the cards for this week:.
Disparate Pathways - Chapter 47
Not Yours To Keep - Chapter 7
While grieving the loss of the fourteenth Cleon, the younger brother he loved as a son, Day seeks distraction in the company of a new concubine from the Gossamer Court. No one could have predicted the events that follow - nor the way in which Cleon XIII decides to deal with the situation.
Next up:
What the Actual Fuck! - Chapter 8
Prime Minister Robert Sutherland is feeling pressured, and isn’t prepared to acquiesce to the repeated challenges from within his cabinet nor the wider circle of those around him. He resorts to drastic measures to ascertain who can be trusted, turning to an ‘old friend’ to help him separate the wheat from the chaff. Said friend promises to send in his best operative to assist the PM, the trouble is the operative finds out more than Robert necessarily wants to know, and all this just as all hell is breaking loose around him; people hurt, Britain in chaos and multiple deaths push him into making some hard hitting decisions in order to safeguard himself, the country, and the people he cares about.
Ask suggestions
Ask something about any of my fics (full list is below the cut). If you want specifics from some fics that are already outlined, you can ask about:
Disparate Pathways, Chapters 45 through 56 All Our Past Mistakes, Chapters 11 through 44 Lover’s Leap Series, Stories 15 through 31 Time’s Curse, Chapters 4 through 10 Laer o Faen, Chapter 27 Stargate: Atlantis, Harms Way or any of the 20 fics in the series.
Ask something of any of my characters in general or you can get really specific if you like - for example you might want to ask Gold from Pawn Shop a question about a chapter, a thought, a feeling… (the world is your oyster really)
Ask about my process as a writer, what makes me tick,, or even ask about me personally. There’s also This Guessing Game that is still available for you to play.
Also, if you want to see a specific character or fic featured in Three Things Thursday, or Saturday Secret, feel free to send in prompts, if no one does, then either the choice will be random or they just won’t happen at all. I made an analogy for why that might be in a different post about a car stuck in the mud with spinning wheels.
Please remember: if you read a fic you enjoyed on AO3 or on Tumblr (not just mine), please take the time to comment and/or leave kudos, and to reach out on TMI Tuesday. It means a lot to the writers and artists.
You can find all my fics currently on AO3 here, and there is a full list under this cut.

Stargate Universe -- Incursion, Parts 1 & 2
Stargate Universe Reviews
This woman is a horrible person and I have no use for her. In OTHER shows, the writers would Mary Sue her up. Thankfully this isn’t one of these shows.
So there is a showdown -- complete with hostages -- between the Destiny peeps and the Lucian Alliance, who I really don’t know much about cause again -- never watched the other Stargates -- but they are BAD.
And that bitch there is just -- she needs to die.
Lots going on here, and it all ends with a MAJOR cliffhanger -- TJ is shot, Telford is shot, Kiva is shot (YAY!), Chloe looks like she’s about to die, and Young is about to be executed. Fun times!!!!
Look, I’ll be honest -- this show is okay, but it’s nothing I’m getting super duper excited about. I’m basically a mostly GA viewer here for Bobby. :)
Onward to S2 . . . . .

Dear followers, fellow VP-peeps, thank you all again for joining this week.
However, due to certain circumstances (one of which being the World Cup), and seeing as time is of a rather volatile nature lately, both, Mod @dorothyoz39 and I (Mod 1989Nihil) have decided to put the VP on hold, for at least the duration of the World Cup, which will conclude around the 15th of July. The ask box and submit will be kept open, of course, so that you may reach us if you have questions regarding the VP or questions regarding the Stargate franchise in general. And of course you can also drop by to suggest episodes of either Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis to be watched when we resume the VP, or how to improve the VP experience further. We’ll take care of the promo, and even hosting, for when we return the week after the Fifa World Cup.
With that being said, thank you again for joining us each week to watch and enjoy Stargate togerther!
Until further notice,
~ Mod 1989Nihil
