ID a simple digital drawing showing the front row on the top deck of the bus from the perspective of the second row. Out of the large front window are rolling green hills /end ID
When I was younger I used to love sitting at the front of the top deck of the bus. The huge front window was like a cinema for the rolling countryside I grew up surrounded by. Now that I can't walk the stairs up to the top deck are impossible for me, but that's just a small piece of how travel and transport have become more difficult as my disability has become worse.
I used to be able to jump on a train, bus, tram, or even on a plane with my possessions in a rucksack. Now I make I never rely on the last bus just in case the one wheelchair space is occupied. If I want to catch a train I have a book 2 hours in advance to ensure I get assistance on and off, which is an improvement on the 24 hours that used to be. Taking a plane is a risk to myself and my wheelchair that I’m not prepared to take until I’m able to remain in my wheelchair for the duration of a flight. And if I’m staying anywhere overnight then I have no choice but to take my accessible van because I need to take my mobile hoist (which is so big it often gets mistaken for an electric piano) and my tilt in space shower chair which doesn’t fold down.
This is my second and a series of paintings of places I can no longer access since becoming a full-time wheelchair user. You can find the first one here

[ID: four page digital comic of Danny Fenton and Vlad Masters. They're in a dim room with deep burgundy carpeting and brown walls, with gray stairs leading off to one side. Danny is sitting cross-legged on the second step from the bottom, looking slightly up at Vlad. He's wearing red sneakers, torn jeans, a white shirt with a star emblem, and a blue jacket with red accents, and despite being in human form his eyes are bright green. Vlad is in a silver and burgundy manual wheelchair, wearing a black suit and dress shoes, with a red bowtie, pocket square, and hair ribbon. In the first three panels Danny has his hands resting slightly curled on his knees, and Vlad's are folded in his lap. Danny's speech is in green, Vlad's in red.
Panel 1: Danny's expression is slightly strained, Vlad's mostly calm. Danny asks "What do you want to know?" Vlad responds "You're asking me?" Danny, "Yes."
Panel 2: Danny is waiting, expression held blank. Vlad, visibly more concerned, says "I want to know...if there's anything of my apprentice left alive."
Panel 3: Both of them have curled their hands into fists. Danny's expression is incredulous, Vlad's stern. Danny asks "What?" Vlad reiterates, "I would like to know if you've hurt Danny." Danny, more incensed, replies "You want what? To know if I'm hurt?"
Panel 4: Danny has one hand thrown out in front of him and the other in a fist over his chest. Vlad's face is tight and closed off, Danny's flummoxed and angry. Vlad says again "He was my apprentice. I wish to be assured of his well-being." Danny responds animatedly "It's me! It's fucking me! Short of having been fucking murdered two years back, do I look like I've been hurt?"]
@ectoberhaunt 2024 Day 4 - Came back wrong
Dialogue (with slight changes) from the book A Madness of Angels by Kate Griffin, which I highly recommend. Green electric angels au wherein two years after his murder, Danny Fenton is back and out for revenge against his murderer, but everyone keeps saying something is off with him now...

Some of my meet the Robinsons headcanons 🫣 cause my head is full of em. A lot of these r kinda worldbuildy but some are Robinson family based!
-I'm a believer that Franny went to school for bio-engineering (and music ofc) and put all of that knowledge towards her frogs. Maybe she even had a successful lab of her own before finally succeeding with the band, and left it to conduct full time.
- I don't think Lazlos paint gun would shoot random art, but rather Lazlo would have to manually program a painting into it somehow, and trial-and-error test it until it looks perfect.
- Billies train system through the house is Uncle Joe's primary mode of transportation across the bigger stretches of the estate.
- Along w the hover-chairs, there's a Robinson brand of wheelchairs and crutches that can fold/unfold to travel through the travel tubes and be sensed by the bubbles!
- Robinson industries is obviously the top of the line when it comes to tech products, but there are also other companies that sell similar products. The Samsungs to Cornelius's Apple.
- Future City/Todayland is Not Named That. I don't have any better ideas but both of those ain't it
- Nonetheless I think it became the biggest city in the country just due to it being the first to take on Niels cityscaping inventions. It's kind of his personal playground in that sense
- In that breath I also think there's many places in the country that just Aren't that advanced. I imagine public transportation has majorly improved but in many cities life hasn't changed all too much.
- I think it'd be interesting for Robinson Industries to have people who just HATE the things they do. Look at those instant-buildings and tell me the construction working community didn't freak out.
- imo 2037 (from what we see) seems technologically advanced in the way that people would be able to return to art- but the transition period was definitely rough as people started losing jobs to Neils tech.
- I don't know if Niel would make many robots to be sold commercially- not with the problem of AI vs humans.
- In tiny text of a concept art in the art book you can read that Cornelius created "Robinson™ Blue/Green fuel cells" which are the "world's first renewable clean-burning fuel source" source.
- If we accept that as canon and assume all the new flying cars were fueled with this energy source, we can pretty much assume ground cars went extinct pretty quickly, unless other car manufacturers and gas companies were still allowed to produce.
- Probably by 2037 the use of gas has been banned, leaving only the souly electric ground cars, which probably weren't enough to run whole businesses on. With flying cars as the new norm, roads were likely torn up.
- I don't imagine the whole car switch thing went over well with the public either tbh. I would not be happy if Some Guy told me I couldn't buy gas anymore and had to take the airbus.
- I could have sworn it was canon that Niel had won at least one nobel peace award. Does anyone else remember that

Getting a new wheelchair! The XTSO M4
Tumblr media
If you're wondering what model of power chair this is, it's this in the readmore:
Tumblr media
Here's the website.
Here's my family friend's website with even more variety and options.
I'm brand new to wheelchairs and power chairs, but have recently invested in this one as my mobility has been an increasing issue as I'm getting older. A family friend of mine has MS and owns a wheelchair and powerchair company, and just recently went to a floor-show of new models in Miami, FL, and emailed me back with the XSTO M4 as a recommendation for my first chair.
These chairs are expensive. They may not be affordable for you. I'm only getting one because I know a guy who sells them and he's willing to help me out when it comes to the financials. However, if you're curious, shopping, or interested to know what kind of new tech is starting to be incorporated into electric wheelchairs, here are some product deets about the M4:
Comes with an automatic balance system, which balances out the seat even when I'm going uphill. This prevents the "I'm going to fall and hit my head" sensation if a slope is steep.
Can clear vertical obstacles of up to 2" vertically or 6" horizontally (such as rolling over grass between paving stones) , so if a city's infrastructure sucks for chair-bound people, I can at least brute-force to a sidewalk or park when necessary.
Can handle slopes of up to 15°
Breathable back and memory foam seat for no more Ass Sweat Prints on warm days.
Designed not to slip or skid on slippery surfaces or going up or downhill
Self-adjusts the seat to stay level even when on a slope so I don't tip over or fall off the chair. Also has a safety-wheel in the back so it can't be tipped backwards, either.
Travels up to 11 miles on a single charge
Has both "casual" (indoor) and "off-road" settings.
Can adjust the seat up or down up to 8" to Reach Things Better or Be More Visible To Traffic.
Has no rear handles for assholes to grab and try to move me around without permission.
Comes with an app (ugh I know) that makes my phone make an alert noise when the battery is low or a part or component is malfunctioning, gives me the ability to remotely control it to wheel it closer to me if it's out of reach and I can't walk to it (honestly a selling point for me; I never know when I'll have Bad Issues and need extra help), switch its modes from casual to sport mode, and make it fold/unfold for space.
Breaks into 3 separate parts for easier storage in the back of a car.
Goes up to ~4mph, which isn't bad for me, since my normal mph at home without a chair is 0.
Has a tight 32" turning radius courtesy of the front tires, making it good for moving around indoors too.
Seat reclines and has a small leg-rest for if I want to lean back.
The manufacturer recycles parts, so if something like the battery needs replacing, I can send the old part in and receive a new, replacement part for free.
Almost every feature covered by the app is also available on the LCD readout beside the joystick, so I don't need to use the app if I don't want to.
It doesn't look like I stole it from a retirement home or a WalMart.

Hobie headcanons
tw: for gun, only the picture
tw: shadow the hedgehog?? in the picture as well
Tumblr media
that picture has nothing to do with it, but I'm silly and smooth brained.
-My friend had a headcanon that Hobie acts like a giant cat and doesn't have a spine.
-You could walk in a room and he could be absolutely crunched and folded..
He's sleeping, don't bother blud.
-He loves to pick up his friends and spin them around. (credits to @chaosemporium)
-Then they immediately get judo-flipped/or german suplexed.
Example:
"Hey hobie, how's it going-"
gets judo-flipped into space
-----------
- Hobie is a very heavy sleeper, he hates getting up in the mornings and afternoons (common sense ig)
-Hobie will wear your clothes, he will wear them better than you.
-Hobie, who knows that he can play his electric guitar without an aux box (???).
-I also headcanon that the only reason that hobie told miles about the palms, is because he does it.
-Hobie doesn't have a spine, as I've mentioned. He could have all his bones cracked and displaced, and he'll get up like nothing happened.
-(Like that one tiktok audio where she's dancing and you hear the cracking of bones 💀)
-Best believe, if you have a wheelchair, he will wheel you around and decorate your wheels with his own stickers/patches.
-(inserts that one picture of the 'who said wheelchair dancing can't be spicy' one 💀 ifyky)
-Hobie, who annoys you everyday but you still love him.
-Hobie would definitely pirate or steal games (do you think he would be a fan of earthbound? Or any nes game?)
-When you both go on a walk, he likes to just dissapear then jumpscare you on a corner 💀
-Or with fnaf music (pls tell me yk)
-Calls you on his alarm clock 💀
Shit, mind got softlocked
One more: Hobie likes to blow smoke into your mouth, if you're fine with him doing it ofc.

The next morning Venua woke up, and immediately thought of the robot girl in her basement. She got up and walked to her kitchen, the sunlight streaming in through the stained glass flowers in her window above the sink, casting multicolored lights onto the cob floor of the cottage. She started her electric kettle and started to make her favorite lemon strawberry tea. Once her tea had the proper amount of honey in it she headed down to the basement to see the solar cell's battery life reach 100 percent. "Wakey wakey." She said softly in a joking tone. Venua had always made a habit of talking to the bots she works on. She hears a startup sound and the bot opens her eyes, and screams. She starts to thrash around screaching in a harsh tone, the vocal module clearly damaged. "Please don't kill me!! Please! I don't want to die!!!" "Shhh. Be still! I'm not going to kill you." The girl stopped thrashing but still clearly panicked, looked around at her surroundings as if everything in sight was a threat. Her eyes finally focused on the woman in front of her, she had dark curly hair with gold streaks running through it and a large muscular frame which only served to compliment her femininity. She didn't look a thing like the people who were trying to murder her, in fact she didn't look familiar at all. "Who are you?" The girl asked, a quiver in her voice. "My name is Venua, I... I helped you." "Where am I?" "We're in my basement, I helped you. Are you... sensing, any issues? Anything I can help fix?" "I... I think my voice, it's wrong. A-And there's something wrong, I c-can't move my legs!" Venua looked down and saw that her legs weren't moving despite lights indicating that they were definitely powered. "Okay don't worry, I can help make them work. It just might take some time." "Well, how much time?" "I'm not sure but don't worry, I have a wheelchair around here somewhere, let me go find it." "Wait, where are you going?" "Just upstairs, I'll be right back down okay?" The robot girl sighed, and hung there waiting for her rescuer. As she calmed down she was able to notice more about her surroundings, like the boxes of spare, unfamiliar looking parts and the walls that looked like they were made of sand and clay. She looked down at herself and saw that the clunky battery she was once fitted with is replaced by a sleek, pill shaped device glowing with a light blue light. She tried to reach down and touch the device but her arms are held in place from the hooks under her armpits. "Alright I have a smaller folding wheelchair from when my friend had to use it before they got their prosthetic legs." Venua walked into the basement and unfolded the contraption, it looks similar to ones she used to see but a lot more sleek and refined. "Okay, let me reattach your chest and stomach plates." She quickly moved to fit them back into place, noticing that the girl flinched as she moved. "Can I touch you? I'm gonna have to lift you into the chair." "Y-Yes it's okay, just please d-don't hurt me." "I won't. I promise." Venua slowly held her arms out and lifted the girl off of the hooks and into the wheelchair, making sure that she fit well and was comfortable. "Now please don't try to go rolling off just yet, I want to fix your voice module and see if I can't get your legs working again."

Hear me out: Pawmot as a physical service Pokémon
I loveeeeee this concept. Here’s some assorted headcanons abt it bc that’s how I organize my thoughts :)
- Pawmot’s size lends itself really well to a service pokemon. It’s bipedal, which means it can walk around with its trainer without taking up too much space, and small enough to be allowed indoors / in tight spaces without fear of breaking things. It’s also a pretty decent size to sit in the average adult’s lap, so it’s a really great pokemon to take to places like theaters or on planes
- Because Pawmot are bipedal and have hands, they often assist with mobility, but also tasks that require more dexterity. They have the strength (due to being a fighting type) to maneuver and lift most adults as well as carry heavy objects or clear a path for their trainer, but also the fine motor skills to assist with everyday tasks like opening pill bottles, picking up dropped items, opening doors, etc. Your pawmot can set up a folding wheelchair but also carry a motorized one
- Their electric type also makes them ideal for those with electronic / battery powered mobility aids because Pawmot can recharge them if the need arises! I like to think Pawmot are a really common Paldean pokemon center pokemon for this reason— Paldea has very large wilderness areas and access to electricity is important for many, so there’s always a Pawmot at the most remote outposts to make sure your hearing aids or rotom phone keep their charge
- not service related but they’re the ideal size to wear clothes, so most service Pawmots have cute little jackets! some people give them bows or hats also. Around Glaseado, you’ll often see them in cute little parkas. Dapper little fellows :)
- Pawmot can and likely does function as a pretty good overall physical service pokemon, but in my mind where Pawmot could really shine is as a pokemon for those with muscular disorders. Aside from assisting with everyday asks for people with tremors, Pawmot can also use its dual typing to act as a living theragun, combining electricity and pressure to reduce spasms, stimulate / quiet nerves, and provide relief to those with muscular issues or chronic pain
- Personally I think Pawmot’s ability to control electricity and administer it to other species with a high level of control and contact makes it a really great electric type service pokemon. Because the electricity comes from its hands, there’s less chance of stray sparks, and I think a trained Pawmot could likely administer electrical stimulation to the right places just based on its trainer’s behavior. This makes it a more ideal choice compared to other electric rodents, since their sparks are from their cheeks and the chance of stray sparks is way higher
- Also just because of their whole defibrillator theme, I think they’re also an ideal choice for anyone with cardiovascular issues. I like to think they’re very attuned to the electrical signals and sound of heartbeats and can act as an alert if there’s a cardiac emergency. Plus, revival blessing and their electric capabilities allows them to restart or readjust pacemakers at any time or correct irregular heart rhythms
All in all TOTALLY AGREED ANON I LOVE THIS IDEA

(@wingsofachampion) What are human mobility aids like? -Tropius
HI HI HI OKAY SO THIS IS ACTUALLY AN INTEREST OF MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay okay i'm gonna be normal about this i am going to be soooo normal yeah no that's a lie i love this so much
so!!! first off we have canes. canes my absolute fucking beloved! you got wooden ones and metal ones, plus a smattering of funky materials, but it's mostly the first two. There are different types of handle, depending on what you use it for. Some people like decorative handles that are carved in the shape of pokemon! Here, I'll grab some fancy ones so you can see.
Tumblr media
My first cane was a black aluminum folding cane, with a functional wooden grip somewhere in the derby range. It was adjustable for different heights, which is helpful because if you use mobility aids wrong, they can actually hurt you! It's designed specifically to alleviate the strain from certain areas of the body, and if it's not ergonomically sound, it will put unexpected strain on you.
If your cane is too short, it forces you to lean over, which throws your entire body alignment out of wack. If it's too tall, your elbow is forced to take on the extra strain, which is bad for it. Always get your cane properly fitted! You may need to adjust it if you're wearing shoes with any kind of heel.
Tumblr media
Here's an example! This cane has a derby handle, is probably metal, and comes with a carrying case. I love the flowers on it! It's sort of a disabled community thing that a lot of us like to customize our mobility aids, because they're a part of us. When I dream, my cane is with me. Because I would feel naked without it, you know? It's part of me.
Another reason to customize your aids is to emphasize that your disability is permanent. You don't waste holographic stickers on something that you'll only be using for six months as you recover from an injury; it's a way of saying "I'm here and my condition is here to stay, and I'm making the most out of life." And I think that's extremely c-punk.
....i am realizing i'm running out of steam here. oops. i really really just love canes, but i promise there are other mobility aids!
There are forearm crutches! they require both hands, but they give more support than a cane, and on both sides! they're also arguably better than underarm crutches in the long term, but the trade off is that they take longer to use.
Tumblr media
Sometimes, leg amputees will use these instead of a prosthetic! Prosthetics are cool and all, but they can chafe or put pressure on the stump, and sometimes they're just not worth it. A lot of amputees actually choose not to use a prosthetic because they manage just fine with the limbs they have, and that's fine!
Next category up is walkers and rollators, which admittedly I'm not as knowledgeable about? But I've seen people attach really cute quilted bags to theirs, and they're very good for long periods indoors.
Tumblr media
Next up is wheelchairs-- oh gosh there is so much variation in wheelchairs. At the bottom tier is hospital wheelchairs, which are designed to be pushed by someone else, and then you've got self propelled chairs where the user pushes the wheels using their hands to move forward. and then there's electric wheelchairs, which are for people who don't have the physical strength/coordination/whatever to push themselves manually, and so they just steer!
Tumblr media
There's a specific brand of sports made for people in wheelchairs! Like power soccer, or wheelchair basketball! Disabled people can be athletes, or just enjoy the fun of playing a sport for self improvement. There's even a guy I watch on Mewtube who does some pretty sick skateboarding tricks on his chair!
(Side note: I'm not usually a huge stickler for language? Like, I know people who have reclaimed the word cripple, and that's fine. I know people who say differently abled like it's a curse. However! Please note that "wheelchair user" is considered vastly preferable to "wheelchair bound." It's a mobility aid! it's freedom! It can be cool as hell!)
Anyways. Don't take my word as gospel, this is nowhere near comprehensive, but there you have it! my big old ramble on mobility aids! ehehehehehheh i love them so much, such a huge fan of technology invented to make people's lives easier. anyways ough i'm stimming so hard right now but also i am fresh out of spoons from this rant so gnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
