Isolde / Izzy [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]

Published: May 19 2024
CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Whilst a normal woman on the surface, Izzy has a past she seldom speaks of, to the point where even Tristan, Nora, and CD thinks she was mostly normal and only tangentially linked to someone who had thier life upended by Faz Ent during her childhood.
Isolde was the person whose life was upended by Faz Ent during her childhood.
She was poached by the PIP programme and was put to work in communications between the ages of 13 and 15, placing bugs and installing and monitoring wire taps. Her parents knew, but were too terrified to act, fearing that they'd all be killed if they tattled.
At 15, she had managed to suck up the courage to tell a teacher after carefully monitoring the behaviour of all of her teachers and deducing that her technology teacher had links to the police via a mutual acquaintance between the paranormal department's chief and her teacher via a roboticist who hated Faz Ent's guts who had trained a lot of the district's technology teachers on how to spot and safely disarm Faz Ent tech. She was also able to deduce that her chemistry teacher was the one who tagged her into the PIP programme.
Her tip-off to her teacher set off a domino effect that lead to the arrest of the chemistry teacher, and whilst she wouldn't get those two years of her life back, she could now return to normal.
After graduating from college with a joint honours in robotics and communications technology, she wound up taking off jobs in tech support as 3rd line, call centers as a back end infrastructure technician, and garages as receptionist and mechanic, until she found an advert on an online flyer looking for literally anyone with any technical skills in robotics and maybe some people skills to work at an up-and-coming robotics company: R&D robotics.
She found very quickly that she was the third employee, and whilst her communications degree did put her in charge of communicating with clients, she did get to flex her robotics skills whenever there was no communication to be done.
She seldom speaks of that time in her past as someone who wound up getting used by the PIP programme, and she keeps used pink hair dye bottles around her bathroom to give the impression that she dyes it, and sometimes she changes up the shade for fun, but the roots of her hair will always betray her and show her hair's natural pink colour.
CD, Tristan, and Nora didn't know about this part of her past for a long time, and even then, she was the one to tell them.
The only person to ever find out about it off thier own accord was Anna Kwemto from CK animatronic maintenance. The two share a sort of kinship over a childhood tainied by Faz Ent, as whilst Anna's hair was dyed and not stained, and Anna's mother's intentions were different to Izzy's teacher's intentions, they both wound up in danger of the PIP programme, with Izzy becoming a victim of the later stages of the programme and Anna growing up in a lab for the first few years of her life. PT also found out about Izzy being a victim of the PIP programs via Anna, and the trio tend to meet up to vent about the times they wound up getting caught up in things because of the PIP programme. PT and Izzy also share a kinship over thier stained pink hair and the the fact that whilst Izzy did get dragged into doing comms, PT was repeatedly avoiding getting turned into yet another killer.
With people to talk to about the past that ails her, Izzy finds it much easier to face the future now that she can find reasons for her past.

Part 5 of me only opening the AR to read emails and repair my bots—
Anyway, I feel for Nora, she’s trying so hard to hold onto her own integrity and do the right thing and I pity her because Fazbears does not have the reputation of giving a fuck. I think they stopped trying to uphold some sort of moral code or even basic safety a long time ago.
On the other hand, if FNAF ever wanted to get really spicy with the world building, they’d have Nora be a whistleblower on all their shit. I bet a local news station would eat. It. Up. Probably at the expense of her job tho lol.
Izzy is a new character which is neat. I think the lore implication here is that Springtrap isn’t suppose to be an available animatronic. If VR tells us anything is that Fazbears is aware that people believe Afton is haunting the spring Bonnie suit (as per the fnaf3 game) so I’m not entirely buying that they’d go ahead and build a bunch a replica of it, completely with fake organs and Afton’s weird ass voice lines, for the AR game.
But at the same time, that means that Afton is casually just wandering from house to house after Fazbear Frights burned down, for what????? Even if he’s completely aware of the AR and is using that as a means to travel without too much suspicion, what in hell could ever be his purpose? Pure anger and bloodlust? Hell if I know.

Tristan Rocha [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]
Tumblr media

Published: Apr 21 2024
CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Tristan is one of the two people who run R&D robotics. The other being Charles D, aka CD.
Tristan Rocha is the twin sibling of Daniel Rocha, so his story also started with Fazbear Entertainment, as their dad, Oliver Rocha, was one of the two technicians at Circus Baby's animatronic rental service back in the late 80's who had been ambushed by the animatronics, got strung up on the stages in order to trick the sensors, but survived thanks to the other technician, Morgan Smith, cutting himself and Oliver loose. Dan and his brother Tristan had only ever heard stories about Oliver's experience, and they knew that he wasn't exaggerating about what happened to Eggs.
Tristan wasn't surprised when Dan got into an accident in his first job at a factory, and after begrudgingly accepting the contract with Faz Ent, Tristan knew it was only a matter of time before he too would become the victim of a grizzly accident.
Knowing about the underbelly of Faz Ent since birth, he knew what to say and do to stay as under the radar as possible and reduce the risk of getting killed by an angry Exec, and when Ness started sending him newspaper clippings of an incident regarding the brother of an old Freddy's manager and information on the limits of the human body, he knew exactly what to expect. He also figured out how Faz Ent planned to kill Nora and helped her prevent it by removing the facial recognition from the toy animatronics that Faz Ent had intended on using against her.
He just didn't expect to get blindsided by magician mangle so soon after: he'd received blueprints and heard a whisper of Faz Ent's plans to kill his brother, but he'd had no time read the blueprint or tell anyone because as soon as he looked up, that's when the animatronic attacked him; it broke his bones and tried to cut him in half. The information he got from Ness regarding the limits of the human body saved his life, so whilst the animatronic left him on the brink of death and in a coma, he was able to survive.
He doesn't know how long he was in a coma for, only that something unusual was keeping him there. Whatever it was let him go though when his brother was wheeled into the hospital post "Adelaide Incident".
Seeing his brother heavily injured and missing a rib, Tristan knew that he'd woken up too late for what he knew about the plans Faz Ent had for his brother to be useful. But in learning about the Adelaide incident, Nora seemed to link Adelaide to the blueprint Tristan had received prior to getting attacked by Magician Mangle and she was able to warn Izzy and CD that Charles was likely in danger, and this heads-up actually saved CD's life, as Adelaide had immediately gone from trying to kill CK animatronic maintenance to trying to kill CD. So, so much for Nora claiming to know jack squat about all the shit Faz Ent tries to pull. Then again, a Ballora variant with the name Adelaide on the blueprint was a very obvious link. And just to top such a chaotic day off, how a doctor responded to him going into a panic attack because he thought he saw the Mangle out of the corners of his eyes outed one of the hospital's doctors as a fraud and former employee of an asylum that companies similar to and including Faz Ent used as witness disposal: so that was an eventful hospital stay.
Once Tristan had physically recovered, he returned to work. Acclimating to not putting pressure through various parts of his body, and adjusting to CD having to use written communication and starting to learn sign language because Adelaide's Arctic Ballora attack on CD had severed his vocal chords, so even if doctors could give him his voice back, he'd likely never sound the same again. Then, R&D robotics got a new hire, a new girl called Sadie who was adjusting to a loss of her own: someone close to her had been murdered. Tristan was the most surprised though when so soon after starting work and Nora getting her set up with the tools to survive the Special Delivery project, Sadie came in to work with news that her close companion was back from the dead and in a robotic form.
After Faz Ent finally got off of R&D Robotics back, Tristan finally had the time to process just how much he'd had to adjust: he still had to limit the weight of what he could carry, he couldn't bend as far so door frames were slightly more annoying (he's tall), but he had also grown closer to his fiancé Nora, and to those around him as well. He'd even made some new friends along the way too.

Nora [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/Nora-FNAF-AR-Renegade-AU-1041984580
Published: Apr 14 2024
CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Nora's life was normal into her early twenties, when whilst on holiday in a remote landlocked town, she was kidnapped by a cult, almost burned alive, and escaped by killing the cult leader then finishing digging out. In the span of about four or five days. Most of which were spent digging prior to almost getting burned alive. Becoming the wrath of the girls who failed to escape in the past, she wound up being a walking cult detector whose back quite literally will set on fire if near real cult stuff.
That's how about a decade later, she knew that Faz Ent was harbouring a cult.
Though with all large corporations reps and execs setting off her 'this guy's in a cult' reaction and her having no real way to determine weather it was just the individual man who was sent to negotiate the contract for building animatronics was in a cult as an individual or if the cult WAS Faz Ent's executives themselves, all she could really do was warn CD of the potential danger. With how far into negotiations things were, she'd need tangible evidence to tell Faz Ent to shove it without it resulting in R&D robotics getting hounded by Faz Ent's legal department.
R&D Robotics was also so strapped for cash that needed the contract, even if Faz Ent was a known dubious company (then again, practically all corporations on Faz Ent's scale are dubious to some degree). At least being contractors meant that Faz Ent had no claim to anything R&D robotics made unless R&D robotics specifically handed over the rights, so they were protected on some legal fronts.
The only company in the area that seemed to be able to avoid taking a contract with Faz Ent was Smith &Tea Robotics, who used thier past employment at Freddy's as their reason for rejecting Faz Ent's offer of contracting.
Some way into the contract, Faz Ent started to treat R&D robotics as if it was their own Research and Development team, requesting new models whilst CK animatronic maintenance were being hounded by a ghost and computer virus.
Then, things came to a head: tensions got high, and Tristan dropped that someone he had spoken to in person knew that Faz Ent was trying to kill all of them.
Within that week after that revelation, Magician mangle tried to kill Tristan, and almost succeeded. Then, some weeks later, CK animatronic maintenance suffered what they called "The Adelaide incident". Then, as soon as Tristan's brother, Daniel, was wheeled into the hospital room, Tristan woke from the coma Magician Mangle had put him. He had known that Dan had been in danger, but he hadn't had time look at the blueprint that had come in.
Nora had looked at the blueprint and connected the name Adelaide on the Arctic Ballora blueprint to the Adelaide who tried to kill Dan, so she knew that CD was in danger. She was able to warn Izzy and CD in enough time for CD to survive.
Though if she was being honest, all the crazy shit going on was too much for Nora to understand, so she generally just kept her head low and kept on keeping on unless something was blazingly obvious. It wasn't enough to stop her getting a concussion from a certain animatronic's (thankfully rubber) oversized mallet, but she lived through the chaos and came out the other side well aware that most people in the robotics scene around these parts were already neck deep involved with something or someone Faz Ent related before this contract even started: the Rocha twins father was a technician in the 80's, Anna was a Faz Ent scientist's kid, Ness worked on the HW project, Luis was part-timing at Faz Ent during the HW project, and the two she knew already: PT and Fritz who worked at the Freddy's location designated 'Location C' back in the 90's.
Well, Nora didn't keep her head down entirely. During this chaotic time, a while after Tristan had recovered enough to come home, R&D Robotics did pick up a new employee: a girl called Sadie who used to work at a factory that produced some of the robots for the 'Special Delivery' project, including some 'Unique Models', until someone important to her was murdered. Nora helped Sadie to adjust and set her up with the survival tools necessary to survive working on the Special Delivery project. Nora was also the least surprised when the next day, Sadie showed up talking about how the person she had lost was back, albeit in a robotic body.
So whilst Nora never got the hang of the murder conspiracy ghost shenanigans, she did get the human element of everything. This made it so that despite her snappy nature, she made lots of friends.
After Faz Ent finally got off their backs after the Special Delivery project shut down, Nora was the biggest help to everyone when it came down to everyone finding their new normal.

Charles D [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/Charles-D-FNAF-AR-Renegade-AU-1051417241
Published: May 12 2024
CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Charles D, aka CD, is one of the two people who run R&D robotics. The other being Tristan Rocha.
CD got into robotics as a kid, but like how every kid who wants to get into art is asked too often 'do you want to work for [rodent company]', CD was always asked "oh, so you want to work for Faz Ent", and it annoyed him no end because no, he didn't want to work for the big chain restaurant where his childhood friends died. He was about 8 in 1987 and was friends with Frederico, Cira, Fay, and Blake prior to C locations second MCI, which left him feeling like the sole survivor.
After he finished his college degree in robotics and business management (joint honours kind of thing), he took jobs at garages and the like until he managed to land a lucrative position at Smith&Tea Robotics. He worked there for a while, but it was obvious that he wanted to break out on his own, so PT and Fritz helped CD out, only asking that he helps bring the practice of robotics back from being deemed as something only Faz Ent does, helping reduce Faz Ent's monopoly on robots in the process. PT and Fritz couldn't care less who he took contracts with; as long as the company he created had its own line of robots, it was in competition with Faz Ent and would help restore friendly and healthy competition between small robotics companies.
So CD started to start up a robotics company, and along the way, found someone to join him: a recent graduate of a robotics course, a young man named Tristan Rocha. A clever lad with a smart head on his shoulders. Despite coming in to look for regular employment after hearing about someone trying to start up a new robotics company in the area, Tristan wound up becoming the co-founder of R&D robotics; Tristan's fresh outlook combined with CD's experience created a dream team. Tristan wound up doing most of the robotics, and as the person with a degree that had any focus on business management, CD took on the business and finance side of operations. The two of them managed to get by creating robots both as stock and for contracts, thier creations finding use in everything from entertainment to hospitals to hospitality, and they even wound up hiring Izzy for both her skills with tools and talking to customers. They also hired Tristan's girlfriend, Nora; an excellent roboticist who has all the skills required, and was also the only applicant.
As well as they were doing though, even with CD putting 120% into making sure ends met and his company could stay afloat, things were financially rough. It was a struggle to find clients despite all the contacts his former employers provided. Plus, robot parts were expensive - especially those not produced by Afton Robotics - and building rent kept on creeping up.
And then a certain company came to them, asking to make a contract with them. He ignored his gut instincts and took it: the money was enough for him to treat this certain company like one client amongst many instead of laughing them out the door like he felt in hindsight that he should have done.
Despite taking this contract with Faz Ent, CD never gave up on his promise. Despite all the robots they were commissioned to create for Faz Ent taking up far too much production time, he still kept on making sure his own lines of robots were still being produced and that his other clients that he had contracts with were not sidelined. After all: his contract with Faz Ent was one of many, and the many other clients held equal, and sometimes even greater priority than Faz Ent's contract.
The stress made arguments break out, and CD was always the mediator. Focusing on the bigger picture always helped him figure out what was stressing everyone out and even helped him figure out why Faz Ent was barking orders like they did, but he wasn't psychic.
He couldn't see the future.
When Tristan got attacked by Magician Mangle, CD felt like he should have been able to stop it. He thought of a million ways in which he could have seen this coming, but the truth was that they would have all been attacked in the morning if Tristan hadn't stayed back to finish the robot then.
Thankfully, Tristan survived, but he was stuck in a coma. When he received the news that Tristan had woken up several weeks later, it also came with the news from Izzy that Nora had phoned her and just told her that Adelaide had attacked CK animatronic maintenance, and was likely going to target him next. As CD and Izzy packed up to visit Tristan, Adelaide launched her attack, making use of Arctic Ballora, just as the blueprint said.
Arctic Ballora Adelaide managed to pin CD to the wall and drove a plastic icicle through his hand to keep him there whilst she used a scalpel to cut his vocal chords without killing him. Adelaide tormenting those she planned to kill before the final act was always the woman's downfall, and this was no different: thanks to the pre-warning from Nora, Izzy had kept herself armed and was able to disable the animatronic before Adelaide could finish the job.
CD had his hand patched up at the hospital, but went to the Maid Marion clinic to fix his voice, as the doctor who ran the clinic, a Dr May Schmidt, was well versed in these more risky and experimental procedures.
Shortly after he was discharged from hospital and then later the doctors office, he hired a girl called Sadie, who had recently lost someone close to her to a Faz Ent factory; the girl's abusive former boss had murdered her friend.
Having read the police report already due to the murder's connections to the Special Delivery project, he knew the basics: Sadie's friend, a man called Morcant, was murdered, Morcant then posessed the robot he was working on and killed his killer, and nobody had seen the robot since.
Because it was fairly obvious that the robot was on the run from the Ancient Equinox animatronics, CD made sure that Nora set Sadie up with the gear she'd need to survive an encounter with the special delivery bots, because by the end of her first day, the Ancient Equinox animatronics were wandering about outside and everyone in the office knew that she'd likely be the next one targeted by Faz Ent next. The robots wandering outside were from the same set as the animatronic that Morcant posessed.
Sadie came in to work the next day having found Morcant after the Ancient Equinox animatronics followed her home. Whilst it was a huge shock that not only had Sadie managed to find and reunite with Morcant, albeit with him in a robotic body, but that he had been sane in the head too despite everything, it made sense.
Later that year, after Ness from CK animatronic maintenance had gone missing and then was found at the megaplex on the other side of the country, he traveled there to take part in an event known as "the Raid" that had been planned by the heads of the two paranormal police departments in the country, Mike Schmidt and Carl Burke. There, he was able to find answers about Adelaide and what she'd had planned for both R&D robotics and CK animatronic maintenance.
After everything was over and Faz Ent finally got off of everyone's backs, CD mentally crashed for a while, involuntarily catching up on all the rest he should have gotten whilst everything was going to shit. And whilst the surgery scars on his neck had healed, he is still mostly mute, but can at least whisper again.

Nora X Tristan [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/Nora-X-Tristan-FNAF-AR-Renegade-AU-953277938
Published:  Mar 12, 2023
Following in line with my Dan x Anna post, here's a plotless drawing of Nora and Tristan. Also from FNAF AR. This was drawn back in February, alongside many other drawings in my backlog. Sure these were quick to make, but having a backlog of pretty OK art, especially if they are characters I don't draw often, is good enough for me. Besides, it gives me time to work on other drawings whilst I'm busy with Uni. I've probably said this a million times but in the Renegade AU, Nora, Tristan, Charles, and Izzy, aka R&D robotics, are a separate company to Fazbear Entertainment, much like the other contractors (the other contractor company being Anna, Luis and co, aka CK animatronic maintenance). Unlike CK maintenance, R&D robotics were given assignments after Fazbear Entertainment cut off its contractors, so whilst Anna and co were dealing with a computer virus, Tristan, Charles, Izzy, Nora (, + an OC) are trying to not die to the robots Fazbear Entertainment is making them build. Because of course the chips Faz Ent send and demand be put in the robots as soon as possible makes said robots homicidal.

FNAF Renegade AU designs: RD robotics
Tumblr media
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/FNAF-Renegade-AU-designs-RD-robotics-864598021
Published: Dec 20, 2020
So, I designed some of the charaters from the FNAF AR emails a while ago, but I missed a bunch that seemed like they weren't from the same company. Looks like it's design time. For Nora and Tristan, I knew what I wanted: angry tiny woman shin breaker and tall lanky string bean who wants the earth to swallow him whole. I had to rush Tristan's colour scheme, and yes I've been working on this since a bit before October, so made him Daniel Rocha's brother and worked his colour palette from there. As for Nora, well, as of October 7th, I decided the hair colour to be green. She's the green one of this bunch. Izzy was a bit harder to design, but I settled on a kind and soft woman. Charles was a pain in the neck, and it took me ages to figure out a hair style, but I had his motives set down to a T- that being someone whose just there to make money because he's broke af and bearly scraping by, and animatronics was where the money was at - from the get go. As for colours, I already kind of knew what Izzy was going to be from the get go, but Charles? No clue. I eventually managed to figure something out though. °•:*:•°•:*:•°•:*:•=°•.🌹.•°=•:*:•°•:*:•°•:*:•° This group makes up R&D robotics. They work closer with Fazbear Entertainment, recreating the machines from the 80's and 90's and bringing them to life in the modern world. When they took the contract, they weren't initially aware of the danger they were in. As it's a small company, no-ones role - aside from Charles's - is usually set in stone, so one day, someone could be the whole compliance team, and the next, they're on circuit board installation duty, teh next, who knows. On the plus side, they've all become firm friends. Sometimes, emails aimed at Fazbear Entertainment's research and development divison mistakenly make their way to them, but they're still expected to handle it. Tristan: He's the backbone of this place. Whilst he usually works with Nora, making the animatronics, he's the guy who goes around making sure everyone takes breaks and doesn't do anything stupid - likely because he suffers from having so much empathy that second hand embarrassment could easily be the death of him. He's self-conscious about his height, and really dislikes the fact he has an inignorable presence. Whilst making machines is his main job, he also distributes notifications within the firm and sometimes to other firms that they're working alongside if applicable if Izzy is busy. Nora: She only looks short because she's always compared to Tristan. This results in people low-balling her age by between fifteen.and twenty years, dispite standing at five foot seven and a half inches; eye to eye with many normal people. Being 32, she finds this low-balling of her age very insulting, especially since she's Tristan's senior by three years. Likely because of this, she's a seething ball of rage who acts fast no matter how loud the result would be. When she's not angry, it's hard to tell, as she's loud anyway, but those who know her can tell. Also, she works on building animatronics, rotating between casing construction, endo skeleton creation, and other tasks as needed. Charles: The owner of R&D robotics. Handles the business and finance side. He may seem cold, but he's just always exhausted from putting 120% into his job to try and make ends meet - not just for himself, but for his workers too. He sometimes ignores his gut instincts if doing so would help him make ends meet. He frequently gets reminded by Tristan to take a break and that what he does for everyone is appreciated. Charles, in return, reminds Tristan that he needs to take a break too. Izzy: She is a gentle soul. Izzy mainly deals with correspondence and customers. She's usually the first to know everything, but as she's always busy with another customer, she usually relays what she needs to tell everyone to Tristan in order for him to tell everyone. Whilst correspondence is her main job, she usually winds up helping out Nora and Tristan if the emails stop flooding in. °•:*:•°•:*:•°•:*:•=°•.🌹.•°=•:*:•°•:*:•°•:*:•°

I'm here again making more FNAF AR emails content. This time, I'm focusing on Nora and Tristan's exchange regarding the kerfuffle with the toy animatronics and thier facial recognition systems. And as this is the Renegade AU, there is a lot which is said in person, and many conversations that the email server does not see. Note, Nora is 32 and is 5 foot 7 and a half and Tristan is in his mid 20's and is over 7 feet tall. Nora only looks 'younger' because she works with people who are ridiculously tall whilst she stands at an average man's height. =°•.🌹 Story 🌹.•°=
°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•🌹•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*° "'HR'? That holds all the water weight of 'I'm telling dad'!" Nora huffed as she stared up at Tristan. "I had to go above your head about this! Everyone was telling me to add the extension! I couldn't just not implement it based on YOUR rejection. Thier research team would suspect something if I didn't!" The stress of being the one to build the vast majority of the toy animatronics all by herself was getting to Nora. Tristan, Charles, and Izzy had been saddled with their own back breaking work, each in a different department, courtesy of Fazbear Entertainment; thier contractee. "Well, anyway, it seems that both of us were fed conflicting information." Tristan shifted his gaze from Nora to glare at the deactivated Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie that sat within Nora's workstation. He wanted to help her tear the facial recognition systems out of those machines, but he had been saddled up to the neck with Faz Ent's 'compliance team' work. "Well, I need to find a way to fix that issue by tomorrow morning, AND I have to finish up that stupid fox!" Nora slammed her fists down on her desk, "And I mean what I said about marketing." Tristan reached out to Nora, as he usually did, but she jerked away, giving him only a glare. "Look, Faz Ent' would have my head if I hadn't responded like I did," He couldn't even look at Nora now without feeling a pang of guilt. He had to make Fazbear Entertainment think he was the compliance team member they thought he was; act the bad guy, but was it worth ... This? "You should know this better than anyone by now." Nora stayed quiet for a moment. She didn't even look Tristan's way as she finally spoke. "But I've got those three robots to finish, and the guys over 'there' just keep sleeping on the job." The silence between the two was deafening. The contract, the robots, Nora's useless 'team' over at Faz Ent', being split and used as if they were themselves just employees of Fazbear Entertainment... It was becoming too much. Each felt a hand on one of thier shoulders. "I know you're stressed, with Fazbear Entertainment having us each work in one of thier departments. But we can't let that get to us." Charles, exhausted out of his mind, was behind the two of them. By the sounds of it, he had heard everything. "How!" Nora yelled, "I have two robots to overhaul in a night because everyone was telling me different things, and another due way too soon!" "Well, we have a lot at our disposal." Charles stated, "first, by having us work from our own building, we have been afforded the upper hand of being able to speak with one another without them being able to monitor our every move: we can speak in person. You two have done a good job so far of keeping suspicions low, acting the part they gave you, but you haven't been using our advantage, and we need to speak in-person far more than what we're doing right now." Both Tristan and Nora were quiet. "I have a feeling that this contract was designed to break us." Charles continued, "make us do the heavy lifting, treat us like they treat their own, then blame us when things go wrong to keep thier name clean." "And make us take the truth to our graves." Tristan's voice was almost a hiss. His life had already been threatened by the contractee once this week: an exec with a gun is never something you should brush off. "And the bastards are trying to get those robots to kill my Nora." Nora's face flushed red. "I- is that why they pushed me to install those blacklisted extensions?! And - you! You were - how do? AAARGH!" The suddenness of this revelation was becoming too much, and she hid her burning face behind her hands. "If you'd have told me, we wouldn't have had this argument!" She finally formulated what she had to say from behind her hands. "I couldn't." Tristan grimaced, "I was trapped at my desk with every testing and safety report due now now now, and if I emailed you, I'd have a bullet in my head right now too." Nora couldn't respond. Her blood went cold. She couldn't fathom or stomach the thought, but it was now burned into her mind. "Look, when those bots activate, they'll be normal for a while. Enough to get past testing, if bearly. You've tested them a bit yourself, right?" Tristan turned to Nora for an answer. Nora nodded. "So they know your face." The words that followed felt like bile in Tristan's throat. "So that when Fazbear decides they're done with us, they can send the command to kill, and have them target you." Nora felt herself shaking. Her life was in danger. The Toy Bonnie and Freddy were practically done, all that was left was the finishing touches. They could be activated at any time - now even - and just as easily, they could kill her. "I'm scared..." She whimpered, her boisterous demeanor all but gone. "We all are. We need to remove thier facial recognition systems as soon as possible." "But how did you figure out that they were trying to kill me?" Nora's question beckoned in an eerie silence. Tristan had explained how Fazbear Entertainment would use the toy animatronics to kill Nora, but he never said how this information fell into his hands. "I'd rather not share who I got this information from. For thier safety, as well as mine." Whilst he wanted to share all he knew, it was clear that some secrets were best kept for now, "They contacted me in-person and told me what was going on. They've also sent me a catalogue of news articles from many years ago. No doubt they're trying to prepare me for something dangerous ." Nora and Charles nodded. This was confirmed to be as bad, if not worse, than they imagined. But they just had to hold out until either the contract ended or Faz Ent' broke thier end of the contract. "Again, I suggest we work on removing the facial recognition systems first." "But how will I do that!? It's late and you're all busy or tired!" Nora felt fit to burst out sobbing. "You could get 'outside help'. We may be exhausted, but this could well be a life or death situation. We can afford to direct our attention to helping you; we know you'd do the same if another of us were in your position, and I think that falling a bit behind is the least of our worries right now." Charles once again proved to be the voice of reason, "and the systems are not supposed to be there anyway, correct? And the bugs? Non-reproducable? What if we make sure it never happens again." "I think I know what you're getting at, but I don't know if they'll notice." Nora looked over at Charles and Tristan, "they'll know something's wrong if they suddenly start working differently." "How about that workaround Tristan considered. We can make it act the same, but be ultimately benign." Charles replied, "it'll be as if you're following both sets of orders, so you can fall back on whichever one the higher-ups wind up demanding in the end." "And the fox?" The mass of parts in Nora's workstation that reminded her that she had such an exotic machine to try and build in such a short period of time made her worry for her life. "I can get marketing to push the release back a few weeks." Tristan looked at Nora, and for once today, the pit in his stomach was not there. "I can buy us the time we need." Choking back tears, Nora nodded. "Thank you." She wanted to cry, but if she wanted to live to the end of the week, now was not the time for emotions to get the better of her. The trio was quiet for a moment before Charles broke the silence. "You two get a head start. I'll call Izzy. We work two to a machine." Nora and Tristan nodded. They had to get started now or never, and work fast and smart. They had facial recognition systems to uninstall, and they were certain that it wouldn't go away without a fight. °*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•🌹•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°

The following has robot gore. A robot gets torn open but he's ok. Also, you haven't met Saide yet. She's from Morcant's backstory and she will be elaborated on in a later story. Finally before we get into the plot, this art contains my FNAF OC, Morcant, and two cannon characters: the Aincent Equinox skins for Mangle and Springtrap from FNAF AR. If being dead wasn't enough, Morcant had to deal with being hunted by animatronics who aren't even posessed. He had always wondered about some of the design choices regarding the animatronic suit he had posessed. Why was it's chest made out of weaker material. Why is there a metal heart connected to almost nothing. He found out soon enough. Imagine the concept of a human sacrifice, but the sacrifice is always brought back, only to be killed over and over again. Some people say this fate would be fitting for some, but then why is this happening to an innocent technician who was murdered by his (now former) boss. His only crime was killing the man who killed him, and then vowing to never harm anyone after. The truth is that he does NOT deserve this treatment; plain and simple. But life is a cruel a story with no morals; bad things happen to good people, the company he used to work for looms over its former employees like a sadistic shadow, and those who deserve the best always get handed the worst. =°•.🌹 Story 🌹.•°=

Since Morcant's death, Saide had gotten a new job at another robotics company. It was a small robotics company who mostly did contract work, and whilst thier current contractee was the same company as her former place of employment, she didn't mind. Her new boss was practically like a father to her, even though he wasn't able to speak at the minute. Despite his muteness and newfound preferences of writing down what he wanted to say or using a sound board, the sheer fact that he communicated at all made Saide feel welcome here. He had also written down that he'd rather be called by his name than 'boss'. When she asked about calling him dad, he jokingly said to go ahead, and from that moment on, Saide had called Charles nothing but 'dad'. Apparently, a few months prior, they had some issues regarding the circus themed set of animatronics, and that was why the other founder of this place, a very tall blonde named Tristan, was covered in scars. Saide had noticed the scars, but hadn't said anything about it, but hearing about magician Mangle made her want to know more, but also share her own story. But she also had some other questions. She asked about the Ancient Equinox animatronics. The green haired girl named Nora, who was the only person of normal height here other than herself, said that they had to put together some of them. Saide then found herself talking about Morcant. The words fell out her mouth, and she couldn't stop them. Part of her felt embarrassed, but the rest of her wanted to say everything. About how much of a good friend he was, about the animatronic they had to make to go with those skins, and how Morcant was killed. But she didn't stop there. She talked about how one of the guards saw the animatronic kill her former employer that this was backed up by not only surveillance footage, but also the blueprint of the animatronic that Morcant had written a note on after he died and posessed the suit. She then talked about Morcant's final gift to her: the necklace she had on right now, and the last coffee he had made for her. She had been out of work for a while, and came to this place because making robots was the only thing she was good at. Everyone was looking at her and she thought the worst of it, but when the dark skinned pink haired lady, who was named Isolde, but preferred Izzy, asked if she was okay with hugs, she knew they felt sympathy for her. No, this wasn't just sympathy. This was empathy. They had experienced near losses at the hands of the inventions of thier contractee, and Saide was simply the first whose loss was permanent. The five of them shared a hug whilst Saide cried her eyes out. Later that day, Nora came up to Saide and said, "hey, um, there are robots walking around outside. They're the equinox ones. I didn't think these things were being sent out any more. I'd be careful if I were you." "Right," Saide replied. She knew that the Magician animatronics signaled danger for Tristan, and the Arctic animatronics signaled danger to Charles. The other ladies didn't know which set was after them, but they gathered that the equinox ones must be after Saide. "I'll be careful." The rest of the day went by smoothly. Whilst Charles had to be reminded that he wasn't allowed to speak whilst his vocal chords were healing, that was the extent of any real issues. Whilst Saide had made some small mistakes when working on assembly, she didn't get yelled at at all; she was given help and asked to speak up sooner if she was having trouble with anything in the future. Her walk home wasn't much of an issue either. The animatronics had left by the time she had started heading home, but she kept and eye out and locked the door behind her. She went to get a cup of tea, but her phone buzzed. Before she had left work for the day, Nora had installed an app on Saide's phone that let her see where all the dispatched animatronics were, and she noticed there were three headed towards her house. Springtrap, Mangle, and an unknown. She heard a knock at the back door. "Please let me in!" The voice was familiar. She knew she probably shouldn't open the door, but she checked her app, and the unknown was at the door. She saw every other type of animatronic had an icon, so she knew that this one was something strange. Taking a gulp of air and calling herself an idiot, she opened the door, hiding herself behind it as it opened. The thing that was at the door barreled in and immediately got out of line of sight of the door. Saide then closed the door. "What are you?" She asked, trying to find where the mystery animatronic had run off to. "Those animatronics are after me. I don't know what they want or if they are even sentient or if they're just programmed to hunt me, but you've got to help me." It said, its voice sounding so familiar, but she couldn't quite remember. As she turned the corner to the kitchen, all she saw was the blur of something running away. "But who are you?" Saide asked again, wanting to know who this was. She had an idea but knew better than to get her hopes up. He continued to hide, and Saide noticed the tracker buzzing like crazy. "They're here! You have to hold them off. You know how to do that, right?" The mystery man said, still just out of sight. "No?" Saide replied in a panic, "How do I hold them off?" "Use this!" The hiding man tossed Saide a 2 in one torch and stun gun. "For Springtrap, wait for it to rush you, then zap it. For Mangle, here's a Freddy mask. Pick up it's parts when it drops them. I know you'll catch on fast. And remember, red eyes: look away." "Right," Saide nodded, "let's do this." With a deep breath, Saide went up to the front door and unlocked it, but she didn't need to open it as it swung open as a Springtrap animatronic with a teal hue to its suit wearing the armour of an Aztec warrior burst into the house and Saide was only just able to dive out of the way. 'First fight of two. Let's go.' She thought to herself as she prepared to take on Springtrap. The animatronic would blink in and out of existence, but it was clear that it was still there. Something was just masking it's existence. She already knew they could mask their presence - she had helped prototype some of the robots and as a result, had to test this stuff was working - but being on the receiving end was a whole other story. She remembered "red eyes, look away" and repeated such under her breath, but she could bearly tell what colour the glowing eyes of Curse even were. As it twitched in front of her, she stared it down and hoped for the best. Then she noticed it's eyes change and they looked like they had a faint hue of red. Pain shot through her head as she turned around to look away, and soon after she turned her head away, the garbled static noises stopped. She rubbed her strained neck as she continued to wait to see where the animatronic would appear next. The animatronic then appeared again, but instead of standing still, rushed towards her. Her hand brushed over the stun trigger, but before it got in range, it vanished. 'How many times will it do this?' she thought to herself as she registered the rapid beating of her heart. The animatronic appeared in front of her again, it's eyes glowing yellow. "Not red," she muttered to herself as she stared at the animatronic as it convulsed in front of her, filling her vision with visions of static. She shook her head to shake off these visions. The eyes were still yellow. She didn't look away. The robot disappeared again. Saide then resumed looking around, trying to find the animatronic, and she fixed her eyes on a rippling point. It looked like the distortion the heat from a flame would make, but she knew this was neither heat not hallucination; this ripple was masking the animatronic. She kept an eye on it, and Curse appeared again. She started at the animatronic as it rushed at her again, only to vanish before it fell in range of her stun gun. Swiftly, the robot appeared again, standing still, emmiting a tell-tale robotic garble, eyes glowing yellow. It convulsed once again before vanishing, leaving Saide to look around for it once again, but it didn't leave her for long. It swiftly appeared, eyes yellow again, until they turned red. Saide turned away again and waited for the noises to stop so she could turn around once again. This was taking too long, but she couldn't get impatient; for all she knew, this robot could easily kill both her and the mysterious stranger who had placed his life in her hands. After a deep breath, she continued looking for signs of where the animatronic was. Another ripple, and it appeared, standing still again. Eyes red. Saide looked away. "How many more times will it do this!" She growled as she waited for the robotic garble to stop, her heart beating far faster than what was considered safe. If she wasn't currently in a life or death scenario against an animatronic rabbit decked out to look like an Aztec warrior, she'd have went straight to the hospital, but fear and anxiety does make the heart race, and the legs weak, and the arms ache. Dizziness tried to overtake her, but she wouldn't let it; she had to win this. Breaking through the ripples, Curse rushed at her again. As he stepped over the invisible boundary that Saide marked in her head, she pushed the trigger of her stun gun, causing wave after wave of electricity to zap through Curse, rendering him harmless. She had a moment to breathe, but it wasn't over yet, because as soon as Springtrap was bested, a woman's voice came into play, lamenting existence in one voice, but a second voice, likely built into the modified casing, spoke about hunting down an explorer. Saide remembered the mask. She'd need it here. Sometimes, the animatronic would charge at her, and she would wear the mask. If it's eyes were red, she would look away. Then, it complained about a missing peice of itself in its first voice. Saide looked around and scooped it up in a panic. The animatronic then begun circling around the room as they were known to do, charging at her on the occasion. Soon, as second part was dropped, and she scooped it up almost immediately. Then, it charged, and kept charging. Saide found herself looking away from it more than she was looking at it. As the animatronics second voice rattled off another line about a meddling medium, she noticed the first voice lamenting the loss of another part. Saide quickly sprung to action and scooped up the peice. Then, the mangle charged at her, screaming that it wanted to become whole again. In a panic, she froze, but the machine shorted out before it reached her. "So that's that hu?" Saide looked around, victorious. She couldn't believe she had managed to take on Springtrap and Mangle back to back - with a little help of course - but something was off. "Where the hell did they go!" Saide was back on high alert, looking around and trying to spot where the animatronics were. They had left some parts behind, but they had gone, and she dashed out the front door to try and find out where they had gone. She bearly believed what she saw. The two animatronics had grabbed something that looked like a human. Curse had the mystery robot - no, person - slung over his shoulder in an over the shoulder carry. Saide could clearly see the face of the person she had been trying to protect from these machines. "Morcant!" She yelled out, recognising the animatronic, and knowing exactly who it was posessed by. She had found him again, but hadn't been able to see him. But now it was too late. "No," she told herself, running out the house, chasing after the animatronics, "I'm not losing you again!" She ran down the street and even though she was running as fast as she could, she was still losing ground to the animatronics. When they turned a corner, she ran to where she last saw them and saw them turn another corner. She had to keep them in line of sight, but her legs could only move so fast and she was exhausted. All she had was the two in one torch and stun gun that Morcant had left her. As she turned the next corner, she caught a glimpse of the animatronic turning another corner. She was panting and her mouth was dry. She could bearly breathe, but wasn't about to give up. She had to walk to keep going, and by the time she got to the next junction, the animatronics were no longer in sight. She booted up the tracker, but the animatronics were nowhere to be found. It looks like once she bested them, they were no longer considered "deployed", so couldn't be tracked. A wave of grief washed over her. She hadn't just lost Morcant once, but twice. Fear and pain welled up inside her as her knees shook. "No," the words came out in a half sob half shriek. Anguish shot through her nervous system as the ground grew closer, but her foot planted itself ahead to steady her as a second wave of something else coursed through her veins. Adrenaline. She had to find Morcant. She had to search for him, but where would she start? It was a massive city, but she could already rule out half of it due to the directions already taken. She didn't even register that she was putting one foot in front of the other as she deduced where the animatronics were taking Morcant. She had already dashed to the next intersection and saw where she was. To the left was to go towards the local park. To go forward was to cary on towards the town centre. She took a left. Forward again to get to the park. Right was an alternate way into town. Forward. But why. Her thoughts were a blur, but she managed to peice little snippets together as she ran. There was that old looking building in the park that had been abandoned for years. That old half built bathroom building that had all the brickwork in place but never had an interior bar one main internal wall splitting it in half and your usual wall that blocked line of sight of the bathroom when you entered, and it never had any water for that matter either. If the animatronics were going to take him anywhere, based off of thier design and the gut instinct that the animatronics appeared to want to keep what they did from being seen by anyone, then this was the place. As she approached the decaying building, she had a choice to make. Left or right. The old and abandoned bathroom block was just two empty rooms. Both sides have an identical but mirrored layout, with a circular window facing the outside. There was only one difference between the two segments other than the graffiti on the outside: one had a finished window, whilst the other had nothing more than a stone circle where the window was due to be installed. This also happened to be the window where the evening sunset fell right into it, and it was at this moment she knew that the right hand side, the one with the empty stone circle for a window, would be where she would find Morcant. She had a terrible feeling as to why this was the right choice, but she knew it was. She just knew. With the Mangles serpent theme, Springtrap's warrior theme, and Morcant's mixed explorer and medium theme, she had a gut feeling as to not only why this room was the right choice, but also let her know what she may see. If her hunch was correct, then she had to prepare herself to relive a worse form of a haunting memory. As she approached the boarded up door, she took a deep breath of the cold air. It didn't calm her down, but it did ground her somewhat. She placed her hands on the plywood that acted as a barrier between everyone else and the inside of this unfinished bathroom and it moved far too easily. She knew that teenagers came to this building to smoke, but something felt unnatural about this. She gently moved the plywood out her way and snuck in, being careful as to not make a single sound as she reached the end of the wall that would have acted as a barrier between the outside and the bathrooms, if they had ever been finished. She willed herself to look round the corner. She had to hold her breath to stop a scream from falling out of her mouth. The animatronics didn't see her yet, but she could see them. She saw them holding Morcant by the arms. The seemed to be saying something, but Saide didn't hear. She couldn't hear anything. She looked at Morcant, and she could swear that if the animatronic suit he was in could cry, his face would be soaked in tears. He looked terrified as he looked Saide dead in the eyes. Was he silently screaming for help or willing her to run away. Saide didn't know; she found herself unable to do either. Her feet wouldn't budge and her arms wouldn't move. Her head wouldn't even tilt as she watched the animatronics unhand Morcant for a brief second, only to grab him by the collar before speaking again. Were the animatronics chanting something? She couldn't hear and didn't know, but Morcant seemed to know. He seemed distressed, but also compliant, as if he had given up all hope. Almost as if he had been through this before. After what must have only been a minute but felt like an eternity, the animatronics spun Morcant around so he was facing them. Saide then noticed the rock that had been dragged into the building. Scratches on the ground were a big tell that this rock hadn't always been here, and she knew that this rock had been dragged in here for a reason. But that raised the question of how long it had been here for. The animatronics kept talking, Saide didn't know who to, but she kept noticing new things. She saw some metal cables on the ground, similar to this used in suits like the animatronic Morcant posessed. Something bad was going to happen to Morcant, and she had a good idea as to what it was. The two animatronics grabbed Morcant by the shoulders and pushed him backwards and down so that he was lying face up on the rock. Morcant tried to struggle free, but it was obvious that the other animatronics were far stronger than he was. After all, his suit was a prototype, whilst the others were finished products, but even though this was the case, she couldn't help but have a horrible gut feeling that Morcant's robotic shell was made to be weaker for more reasons than just that. Morcant struggled momentarily, but the grip of Serpent Mangle and Curse were far too strong. He didn't scream, even though he could. He simply silently wept and Saide swore she saw red tears fall from his eyes. In one of Serpent Mangle's free hands, it was holding a stone dagger that seemed bear intricate carvings underneath a thin layer of oil stains. Mouth moving as if it were still talking, or perhaps chanting, it plunged the dagger into Morcant's chest cavity. The sound of stone on metal was a far call from the sound of metal on flesh, but she knew that in this moment, those two sounds were the same thing. A crack filled the air as the metal of Morcant's chest cavity was torn open, and Saide found herself frozen to the spot. Sadies mind rolled back to the day she lost Morcant the first time. She had saw him bleeding out on the break room floor with a gash across his neck. And here he was now, pinned to a rock with his chest cavity torn open. She couldn't do anything to save him then, and maybe it was too late to save him now, but she couldn't let that stop her. She had to remind herself that Morcant was dead; the body he had was a suit; he was right there in front of her in pain but unable to die. She had to do something. In one swift motion she pulled out her stun gun and rushed at the animatronics. Serpent Mangle was holding the knife, so she zapped that one first. The stone dagger fell to the ground with a sharp clatter as she swiftly changed target and zapped Curse. The world moved slowly around her, and she didn't know how long the animatronics would stay stunned for, so she zapped Curse again then made sure Serpent Mangle had been thoroughly electrocuted. She knew they wouldn't stay in this stunned state for long, but it was long enough; it had to be long enough and she'd make it so. Whilst the animatronics were temporarily non-functional, Saide scooped up Morcant in a bridal style carry. She didn't know if she'd make it even a few steps, but her legs were moving independently of herself as she started with a walk. Then she was able to run. When they were finally out of the wretched building, Saide didn't stop. She kept running and once they were in the middle of the filed of grass, Saide had noticed that it had gotten dark and that nobody was around. Before she could fully understand what had just happened, she collapsed onto the grass. The weight of her exhaustion and the animatronic in her arms causing her to fall like a ton of bricks. To her suprise, Morcant didn't stay limp in her arms as his corpse did all those months ago. He rolled out and immediately started assessing the damage to his suit. He quietly patched up his suit as best as he could without any spare parts or tools, and he sighed as he realised that he'd need quite a bit to replace the torn metal. At least it was under the shirt - which was the same old button up, but the hot glue that had been applied to spots on the shoulders and back had long since peeled off - so the months worth of patch job repairs couldn't be seen. He then looked up at Saide and froze. "Saide?" "Yes?" Morcant looked like he was on the verge of tears, and Saide swore that she saw the robot smile. "Saide you didn't have to -" "No, I did." Saide interrupted, "I didn't want to lose you again." They both sat quietly on the grass for a long few seconds before Morcant spoke up again. "You didn't need to save me. Every time someone gets both of these animatronics with that skin delivered, they hunt me down." Morcant looked at the ground as he spoke, "they chase me down so that I'm at their destination, then if the recipient fails, the animatronics do what you just saw, but they do it in front of the person who ordered them." "By it, you mean rip open your chest?" Saide didn't like that Morcant was being so vague, but had a horrible gut feeling as to why he was being so vague. "Yes. And if the person wins but doesn't get lucky enough to capture the animatronics, then what you just saw happened. They drag me away. I've only managed to escape a few times." Morcant was shaking slightly. Saide didn't know weather this was due to his chest cavity being broken or if he was scared. Or was it both. "Saide," Morcant continued, "this is the first time someone has gone out of thier way to rescue me. Almost every other time, the animatronics get to sedate thier weird bloodlust, and part of me is scared that this will make them more agressive." Morcant gripped at the tear in his chest cavity as if it were a bleeding wound. "It sucks, and I hate it, but I can't die from that, so that's some consolation. Even though it hurts. This suit is like... It's like my new body, and if it gets damaged, I feel pain, and when they tear me open and pull me apart from the inside, I feel everything a normal person would, and it scares me every time." Morcant started off as seemingly calm, but became increasingly more shaky and Saide swore that he looked like he was crying. Saide knew neither what to say or do. Whilst she had been mourning the death of her best friend, said friend was running for his life, experiencing the pain of death over and over. She wrapped her arms around Morcant and cried. "I missed you so much," she sobbed, her voice and body shaking, finally allowing her body to release all of its pent up fear at once. "I missed you too," Morcant replied, letting himself shake as he let the strange tears the dripped from his robotic form's eyes take his fear with them. Soon, it was pitch black overhead, and even though it was cold and they wanted to go home, they both found it difficult to stand. Morcant figured that his problem may have been some broken wires and a lack of focus due to fear, but Saide's was pure exhaustion and fear, so they figured they'd rest for a little while longer. This rest was interrupted by the light of a torch being shone in their direction. "Are you two ok?" A brunette man asked, clearly concerned for the well-being of both the woman and the machine she was with. "Yes and no," Saide replied, "Morcant had his chest torn open by some robots, and I saved him." "Can either of you stand?" The man asked, wondering how long these two had been here for. "No." Both Morcant and Saide replied in unison. "I guess I'll have to call backup." The man replied, "by any chance did whatever happened to your robotic friend take place in that abandoned toilet block? We got a call in from a jogger who heard robot noises from inside there. I was going to check it out, but then I saw you two and figured that helping you two first would be better." "Call in? Backup? Are you a police officer?" Saide asked, figuring that the answer was going to be yes. To nobody's suprise, the reply was in fact "Yes," but then continued with, "I'm the head of the paranormal department at the CPD. Well, it's not much of a department given that it's just me and two rookies, but they're good at the job and it's better than just me on my own having to call in help from paranormally skilled non-cops every time there's a serious issue." Saide was glad help was here, but she was also scared. What would happen to Morcant? She held Morcant closer, and the officer noticed how scared she looked. He then sat down on the grass beside them and said, "it's going to be ok, you two. I can see the tear in his chest, and I know how scary this can be. I - I just realised I haven't introduced myself. My name's Mike. You may recognise me as I was part of the team that arrived at the factory after Morcant's death. Thanks to the blueprint and a bunch of calls regarding injuries inflicted by Aztec themed animatronics, I think I know what did this to you two." "Wait," Saide said, "you were investigating Morcant's death?" She held the machine closer to her. "Yes. And his boss's death. Factory security saw everything, and we were able to give those effected by your former boss's actions compensation." Mike replied, "You quiting that place actually made it a bit easier for us to give you your compensation unnoticed." "Compensation?" Saide thought out loud and paused for a few seconds, "that explains the bigger final paycheque. What about..." Saide trailed off and the park was silent for a few seconds before Mike spoke up again. "Your former boss's death was put down as a spirit related death, and the spirit was deemed as becoming passive post revenge, with no intervention required." Mike paused and saw the look of confusion on Saide's face, "it's impossible to arrest a ghost - even if it does have a physical form. All the paranormal department does is find a way to send the ghost on its way, weather it choses to disapate, wander around like it did before but not hurt people, or gets caught by another ghost isn't our business. We only send a ghost on its way by force if it's on the level of Afton or those ghosts that were running rampant in Japan in the 60's and 90's: I've heard the stories and to he honest, your friend there is totally human in comparison." Mike knew he was infodumping, and the first full of grass in his hand was a sign he had been talking long enough, but ghosts were an odd topic that requires a lot of explanation and hinges on specifics. Whilst he didn't want to overwhelm the duo, he so felt as if he had no choice if he wanted them to not be stressed out. He then looked more directly at the duo, waiting to see if they'd reply or if he should continue talking. Saide quickly spoke up. "So Morcant isn't in trouble? Can we go home now." She said, clearly struggling to process all of this at once and obviously in need of a nap. Figuring that Saide had a vague understanding of what was happening, Mike was able to answer. "Don't worry; Morcant is not in trouble: he's dead and deemed passive. But you can't go home just yet because I need to ask you a few things about what happened today so I can actually help you two." It was clear that everyone had a long day, but this was a case of killer robots and it'd be suicide to walk into the abandoned toilets without knowing what on earth is in there. "Starting with, what were the other animatronics in the toilet block with you? I think I know which ones they are but I need to make sure." "Curse and Serpent Mangle." Saide replied, "They showed up at my house and had chased Morcant there, and after I beat them, they just picked up Morcant and carried him there." She pointed to the abandoned toilets. "Alright," Mike took some notes, "Curse is still a Springtrap, right? Some informants have sent me a copy of some blueprints during your murder investigation, but I'm not sure what they received is still up to date, or if they were handed a red herring; I trust them, but Fazbear Entertainment has a habit of misleading people." "Curse is still Springtrap." Saide replied. "Nice," Mike replied, "now, what happened in there. Did they just tear him open or was there some kind setup going on?" "Setup. They were chanting something and then shoved Morcant onto this rock and then..." It was clear that Saide was beginning to panic and couldn't finish what she was saying. She was repeating "and then" over and over with no signs of stopping until she was a crying mess. Morcant had put his arm around Saide; it was his turn to comfort her. Mike had seen the stress and fear caused by horrific incidents creep up on people many times, and this was no exception, and he had to help her and Morcant before he investigated the toilets. He knew he had to help somehow, and his paternal instincts kicked in. "Hey, it's ok, he's safe now," Mike spoke as if he was consoling a child; his tone was calm and soft, "You don't have to talk about it in that much detail if it stresses you out. I know what's in there now and that they had this act thing set up. You managed to say quite a lot, and I'm proud of you for being able to talk about it this soon." Saide looked up, her breathing fast as her head pounded from the fear catching up to her. She nodded and tried to calm herself down. "You've told me everything I needed to know, the animatronics and that they had some kind of performance set up with this whole thing." Mike paused for almost a secondary before continuing, "Wait, I'm sorry but one more question, for Morcant. Has this happened before?" Morcant looked suprised, but quickly realised that Mike was talking to him. "Yes. Sometimes it happens elsewhere though, but about half the time it is here." Mike didn't expect Morcant to speak out loud, but then again, the ghost was possessing a humanoid animatronic, and it seems the chest cavity damage didn't impact the voice box. Honestly he was expecting a more ghostly sound, but he just sounded like some dude. Mental whiplash from an animatronic not talking like an actor aside, Mike nodded. "Got it. I'll see if the animatronics are still there, then we get you two home, ok?" Morcant and Saide nodded in reply. As Mike walked towards the building, Saide piped up, "Wait! I have a tracker on my phone that tracked these animatronics to my home, but then when they left it stopped tracking them." Mike turned around, smiled, and flashed his phone, showing the same animatronic tracker as the one Saide had, "nice to know. Mine does the same, so at least I know it's probably an intentional thing on the animatronics now!" And then he walked the rest of the way to the toilet block. As Mike disappeared into the building, Morcant and Saide looked at eachother. "Do you think he's going to be ok?" Saide asked, "he seems like a good person." "I hope so. He seems to be bent on helping ghosts move on - not in the usual way you'd associate moving on and ghosts, but in the same way you'd get a living person to move on from an ex." Morcant replied, "best way of dealing with ghosts that there is really." "You'd know, wouldn't you? Mr ghost expert," Saide joked before Morcant could keep on rambling about ghosts, "maybe you two should be friends!" "Maybe," Morcant replied, "I'll have to ask about the paranormal department. If I just live running from robots with nothing else to do or exist for, I'll go insane." "Awwwww," Saide exaggerated the words to the point where her intentions were likely comical, "I was going to suggest R&D robotics. I work there now by the way." "Sorry," Morcant winced in reply, "but that'll be like working at a mourge. No thanks." "Ok." Saide let our a comical huff, "do you have anywhere to go? Anywhere you've been staying?" "No," Morcant looked off over at the rest of the park, "I've been on the run from these animatronics the whole time." "That must have been exhausting." "It was." "Do you want to stay with me?" Saide suggested as she picked up a fistfull of grass that she had mindlessly tugged out of the ground. "Sure." Morcant replied. "My relatives probably have my things, so I want to pick those up. But I don't know how they'll react to me being like... This." "They should be fine," a beam of light was cast over Morcant and Saide again, and they only just realised how dark it had gotten, "and they do have your stuff, so I can help you tomorrow if you'd like." "How long have you been there?" Morcant asked. "Two seconds," Mike replied, "you two are just super loud, so I heard you as soon as I stepped out of the building. And talking about that building, the animatronics must have fled. Couldn't detect them by any means." "I mean, they had plenty of time to leave. Why would they stick around?" Morcant replied. Saide seemed a bit shocked and scared again, "I thought I-" "They don't stay stunned for long." Morcant said before Saide had the chance to descend into panic again. "Annoying, but true. But you've beat them both not once, but twice. That's pretty impressive!" Mike added. "Thanks. I want to go home," Saide said, begining to obsessively check the tracker. "Yes, and umm..." Mike said, "Which one of you do you think can stand the best." "I thought you were calling in backup?" Saide asked, before Mike replied sounding rather defeated, "they're busy. Again. Just my luck, hu." "I think I can make this thing stand," Morcant said, "it's just metal, so it can't be that hard to just not fall over." Mike nodded and helped Morcant up. The robotic man was heavy, but with a bit of help, he was able to clamber to his feet, and when he was up, he was able to stand on his own. Then, Mike was able to help Saide up. After a few attempts to pull her up of the floor, Mike asked, "are your legs ok? Do they hurt at all?" "No," Saide replied, a bit concerned about her legs and how she just couldn't stand up but her legs didn't hurt, "I can feel them, but ... C'mon, work already! Stupid legs." "I mean, you did carry me all the way from that toilet block to here." Morcant reasoned, "You're probably exhausted but just don't feel it yet. Adrenaline is one hell of a painkiller." "True," Saide sighed, "so, what's the plan?" "Planplanplanplanplan" Mike mumbled as he scrolled through his phone, "got it. Just found a two person carry that's not weird." "Ok, what is it?" Morcant asked, curious and a bit confused. "You know when you carry a drunk friend home? That kind of thing." Mike said, "it can also be one person, so don't worry if you feel too tired." He then crouched next to Saide and asked, "is it ok if I help you up?" "Sure." She replied. "Ok," Mike replied, "sorry if this is awkward, I've had no practice at this one - usually I'm the one getting carried. And sorry if your arm hurts." He placed Saide's arm over his shoulder and stood up, making sure to keep her steady so they both wouldn't fall. Morcant saw that Mike was struggling, and managed to get hold of Saide's other arm. "You two steady?" He jokingly asked, to which Mike and Saide replied "yep". As the duo carried Saide back to her house, Saide joked, "this is going to hurt in the morning, if I can still feel my legs," to which Mike replied "definitely. It'll likely hurt for a day, maybe more, but that's the after effects of hysterical strength for you," in a more serious tone, as if he had been through similar himself. After they got to Saide's house, Saide was sat on the sofa, and Morcant sat next to her. Saide had told Morcant where they keys were, so he was going to lock up after Mike left, but before he went, he handed the two of them a peice of paper. "If you see those animatronics on the tracker again or have an animatronic related issue, please call this number and say those words. It connects directly to the station and saying that means you have a serious animatronic problem. Don't worry if you forget it though; you have the same code word as your colleagues. You are the newbie from R&D robotics, right?" "Yeah. They mentioned animatronic incidents before, but I had no idea this kind of thing was in place," Saide said, "I guess they just thought it was over." "Or they were going to tell you but didn't know tonight would be so bad." Mike added. "I forgot to mention it at first, but after the jogger called, I got a call from Nora. She said she thinks that the Ancient Equinox animatronics are stalking you, but she's not too sure yet. She didn't mention you by name; she called you the newbie, but after I saw you two on the grass back there I kind of put two and two together." Saide checked the time. It had been, what, an hour and a half to two hours since she had gotten home from work? "It's been getting dark early," Saide exclaimed, the realization that the last what felt like five hours had been at most two had just struck her, "I thought it was later." "Time does drag in scary situations," Mike smiled and nodded in reply, " I should know. But anyway, keep an eye out, don't drop your guard, and I know you'll be fine." "Tell me about it," Morcant smirked slightly before returning to his usual sincere way of speaking, "thanks for your help. We'll be sure to call if they intrude here again." "Yeah, definitely! Thanks!" Saide added. As Mike went to leave, he gave Morcant a knowing smile; them both being familiar with ghosts, his splints and the other being dead, and other scars or markings from injuries only survivable due to thier posessed or spectral situation. They both knew the other had minutes that felt like eternities and that said events were best left unspoken of. "Goodbye!" He waved with a smile as he headed out, presumably to see what he could do to track the animatronics. After Mike left, Morcant locked the door, just in case the animatronics came knocking again. "So, what now? I'm not used to staying in one place anymore; I feel like a sitting duck." "Well you can't run forever. I know I can handle the animatronics," Saide replied, "if they show up, well just call the number we were given and I'll hold them off. I've done it once before, I can do it again." "You're right. I know you can." °*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•🌹•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°
