âGah! Of course Prospero has managed to evade us again!â
The others exchange looks. Cassandra asks, âOf course?â
âYes, of course!â says Flynn, throwing up his hands. âThe man continues to best us, and itâs no secret as to why! His wiles and cunning are clearly too advanced for us non-magical mortals--â
âMate, have you been sleeping?â asks Ezekiel.
â--and with someone as skilled as Moriarty at his side, itâs no wonder we continue to fall short!â
Eve puts her hand on his shoulder. âDonât give up,â she says, slowly. âWe have a good, solid team here. Thereâs no reason why theyâre better than we are.â
Flynn realizes, belatedly, that theyâre all looking at him like heâs a skittish horse. â--actually,â he says, wrongfooted, âMoriarty is a well-known genius of the literary canon. So there is, actually, a reason why theyâre better than us.â
Eve raises an eyebrow. âSince when are you intimidated by fictional mathematicians?â
âThis oneâs the most formidable enemy of Sherlock Holmes!â says Flynn. âNot to mention his cunning wiles--â
âAs opposed to Prosperoâs wiles and cunning?â says Jake, biting back a smile.
â--and his general affability, which means that no one sees his cunning until itâs too late. For godâs sake, we were all taken in by him, when we met him! I met him and said, âWhat an intelligent, attractive man! Of course heâs on our side!â And Iâm sure heâs using that good humor and devilish good looks to seduce his way up the countryside and escape our every attempt to track them down!â
Theyâre all staring at him.
Eve narrows her eyes. âHoney,â she asks, âdo you have a crush on Moriarty?â
â--what?â asks Flynn.
âYou just said he was attractive,â says Eve, slowly. âYou used the phrase âdevilish good looksâ.â
Flynn frowns. âDid I?â
All three of the Librarians-in-training nod. Cassandra purses her lips and says, âIâm going to leave some pamphlets on your desk.â
âWhat?â asks Flynn.
A small smile starts to grow on Eveâs face. âDonât worry, hon,â she says. âYouâre not the only one whoâs noticed his devilish good looks.â
âOkay, Iâm leaving,â says Ezekiel. He drags Jake with him, who doesnât seem displeased by this development.
Cassandra lingers, her eyes still on Flynnâs face. âSeveral pamphlets,â she says. âMake sure you read them.â
âWhat?!â asks Flynn.
Eve pats his shoulder. âItâs okay,â she says, again. âIf Moriarty ever brings it up--â She reddens. âWell, weâll deal with that when we get there.â
-
âOh, I get it,â says Flynn.
Moriarty -- Flynn supposes he should probably call him James now -- removes his hand from Flynnâs hair. âSorry?â he asks.
On Jamesâ other side, Eve shakes her head. âDonât worry about it,â she says, her eyes still closed. âFlynnâs brain is just finally catching up with his mouth.â
âDevilishly attractive,â repeats Flynn. âOh.â
âIâll just not ask, then,â says James, the humor in his voice audible.
âYou get used to it,â says Eve, sleepily.

'Netflix fans appear to be divided over the streamer's latest crime drama Ripley. Moreover, they can't seem to agree on Andrew Scott's performance of titular character, deadly con artist Tom Ripley.
The 47-year-old award-winning actor rose to fame portraying James Moriarty in the BBC series Sherlock and is known for being the Hot Priest in the second series of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag. He's also starred in a number of films and theatre productions, including All Of Us Strangers alongside fellow Irish actor Paul Mescal.
Set in 1960s Italy and shot in black and white, Ripley is based on Patricia Highsmithâs bestselling Tom Ripley novels. The Night Of's Steve Zaillian serves as writer, director and executive producer.
It sees New York-based Ripley hired by a wealthy industrial to travel to Italy, where he must convince the man's son, Dickie Greenleaf - portrayed by Johnny Flynn - to return home. He finds himself stepping into a complex life of deceit, fraud and, of course, murder.
The eight-parter premiered on Netflix on Thursday April 4. Already, viewers are sharing their thoughts on the drama. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, many praised Andrew's performance. @Oluwabvkola reckoned: "Andrew Scott doing a lot of heavy lifting in Ripley on netflix. An amazing performer, truly."
@itswessums said: "Just finished Ripley and all I can say is GIVE ANDREW SCOTT THE EMMY OR I WILL THROW THE BIGGEST TANTRUM!!!!" as @DubbsLove added: "Andrew Scott is phenomenal in Ripley. He can convey so much emotion with his face".
However, others pointed one particular issue they had with Andrew being cast as Ripley - his age. @silentcinephile said: "I love Andrew Scott and I'm definitely not an ageist, but isn't he too old to be playing Tom Ripley? I'm still watching 'Ripley' though".
@sugelanlaoma agreed, writing: "âRipleyâ is good but Andrew Scott is twenty years too old for the role; itâll be much easier to swallow if they adapt the later books. Hopper is still the best Ripley followed by Malkovich" as @lint_ax added: "Itâs unfortunate that Andrew Scott is and looks 20 years too old to play Tom Ripley..."
In the novels, Ripley is meant to be 25 years old, while Andrew is 22 years older at 47. Elsewhere, the series has received mostly positive reviews - including a Rotten Tomatoes score of 88 percent.
The Guardian's Lucy Mangan described Andrew as 'spellbinding', adding: "At the heart of it all, and in virtually every scene, is Scott. He has said in interviews that he didnât want to diagnose or define Ripley too closely, which could have been a recipe for either blandness and confusion. Instead, it makes him a wellspring of possibilities".'

Okay, I need to get this crossover idea out of my brain in a place that isn't discord lol đ
Psych x The Librarians!
A lot of this is coming straight from things I said on discord because I don't wanna keep terrorizing them lol
Shawn not believing that magic is real but having to hide that to sell the psychic thing
Lassie obviously also doesn't believe in magic.
Shawn: Pffft, of course magic is real! (Gus, these guys are total whack jobs!)
Lassie and Baird either LOVE or HATE eachother
They get along at first but I don't think Lassie would respect a grown woman who left the military to deal with magic, he thinks all the librarians are crazy, even crazier than shawn!
Someone who is not me said that Lassie and Jules would try to arrest Ezekiel and the other librarians would have to stop them, which is true
Shawn and Ezekial would EVENTUALLY be buddies, but also they'd have great banter throughout and be buddyLIKE the whole time
Ezekial HATES Despereaux
Flynn ALSO hates Despereaux, but for the same reason he hated Moriarty (too much sexual tension with Eve lmao)
Cass and Jules get along, though Cass is super awkward at first
Jules and Baird also get along, girl power
Shawn would love Jake
Flynn would have to grow on him but he'd like Jake pretty fast with the Indiana Jones vibes he's got lol
Just like everyone else, he'd make too many Jake Stone haha Cowboy! Jokes
Shawn would want to impress Jake
Shawn might even resort to speaking other languages to Jake that the others didn't know he knew, which would then lead to chaos
Jake would end up liking Shawn because of this moment because he relates to the whole 'pretending you're dumber than you are' thing
Shawn would find Flynn annoying prob, I don't think they'd like eachother AT ALL
Everyone hates Henry because the library REEKS of daddy issues
Jenkins would potentially end up threatening to stab Henry, politely of course
Gus and Baird like each other because they were BOTH dragged into this shit kicking and screaming
Eidetic memory is not magic related but still perplexing if the librarians find out about it
If the librarians found out about Shawn's memory-> "That isn't real! Those aren't real!" "There's evidence against them at every turn!" "That is so cool, mate! Wanna go on a completely unrelated and crime free trip with me?" "CAN I RUN TESTS ON YOU???"
Shawn knowing the very few languages Stone doesn't đĽş
Jake: I can't read [language]!
Shawn: ...why do ya need to read it?
Jake: Save the world, stop the bad guy, you wouldn't get it.
Shawn: So, like, how important is it that you translate that?
Jake: Fate of the world's at stake, why?
Shawn: *translates perfectly*
Shawn would notice Ezekial pickpocket Lassie immediately and then wait 10 minutes and pretend it's a â¨ď¸visionâ¨ď¸
"I'm sensingggg, the younger one stole, I'm I'm getting leather? Coins?? Oh my GODDDD!!!!! You stole Lassieâs wallet! :0"
Flynn and Jenkins side eyeing bc they can TELL that man ain't psychic.
Baird getting mad at Ezekial and making him give the wallet back
"Ah ah ah! WITH the money!"
TRUTH MAGIC
Shawn would totally pick up the ONE artifact that makes you tell the truth
They could use Shawn's ungodly charisma at the library, and with that brain of his? I bet he's got an invitation before.
Shawn meeting Excalibur: Woah.....I bet you could cut a tonnn of pineapples..
ă These ideas ARE from a discord server, and while most of them did come from me, some of these thoughts were proposed by other people! I don't want to steal any ideas, so I thought I'd point this out here :) ă
Am tired but can't sleep because too many â¨ď¸ideasâ¨ď¸

drarreckyninjaâs top 50 ships of May 2022 [47. Castonkiel]
Fandom(s): The Librarians
Pairing: Cassandra x Stone x Ezekiel
Image: *disclaimer: not mine*
Microfic: Without His Shackles
Walking back home along the rim of the galaxy, Cassandra feels satisfied by what sheâs accomplished in her final years on earth. Sheâs got a little less than a year left, and she wouldnât rather be anywhere else than with her personal thief Ezekiel and art expert Stone. Jacob. She and Ezekiel are allowed to call him Jacob without his shackles rising. They emerge back in the annex through a portal door.
âAnother crisis averted,â the Australian thief grins, handing over a missing artifact to Jenkins.
âAny of you up for a late dinner?â Jacob asks quietly. âCassie? Zekey?â
She sways backward, and he easily catches her, taking in her nonverbal answer as a âyesâ. Zeke nods too, and they sneak away. No one knows yet that theyâve formed a polyamorous relationship. Despite all the wild ideas they battle daily, this is something they want to keep under wraps. Something just for them.
- - - - -
Incorrect Quote:
Cassandra: What do you think Ezekiel will do for a distraction? Stone: He'll probably, like, make a noise or throw a rock. Thatâs what I would do. *building explodes and several car alarms go off* Stone: ... or he could do that.

Subships: Duchiarty [Eve "Duchess" x Moriarty]

OKAY SO remember how i said i was considering buying the librarians box set? well, i bought it and iâve been working my way through for... a few weeks now? maybe a month. iâm like three episodes into s2 (i skipped around this season a little because i wanted to show lesbean the time loop episode) and like. hmm. i have Thoughts and iâm gonna Express Them now.
my younger self didnât realize it, but cassandra is REALLY VERY BI, isnât she?? the women in the fairy tale story. the way she looks at lamia when sheâs holding the apple. the implication that librarian!cass slept with eve. the implication that she IS sleeping with lamia. the way she gets the italian baronessâ number without even TRYING. god thatâs gay. i love john rogers.
cassandra/ezekiel remains my favorite component of the ot3. he carries around a HANDKERCHIEF for her in late s1 when her nosebleeds are getting bad. thatâs CANON. i just have to DEAL with that knowledge. and like, he steals her that statue in the science fair episode, and guides her in the labyrinth, and the way theyâre so effortlessly a team by the occult college episode is my FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD
jake/ezekiel has Big Repression Energy and i need, i NEED ezekiel to hold jakeâs face in his hands after he has a near miss. i need it for SCIENCE. itâs SO GOOD. the POTENTIAL.
baby me kind of disliked jake/cassandra, i think because i cared about the ot3 and/or cassandra/ezekiel a lot and i didnât like how they were being sidelined. or maybe i just didnât like how ezekiel was being sidelined. either way, i acted HASTILY. theyâre still my least favorite component relationship but thereâs some GOOD STUFF in there. the way jake takes her word for it during the tesla episode, even when it might doom his newest girlfriend? in the season where theyâre having trust issues? god, poetic cinema! give me more of cassandra saying something and the guys IMMEDIATELY accepting it because itâs cass and they trust her and iâm upset about it
i love eve baird so, so much
flynn so clearly has adhd that i canât believe itâs not canon. also evlynn is the CUTEST thing and i NEED more of that running joke where every time they have a ~moment~, flynn has a realization. itâs so funny to me but also, like, mumble mumble something about how eve inspires him? or something? itâs GOOD is what iâm saying.
i saved the best for last but: J E N K I N S
I AM EVEN MORE EMO ABOUT HIM THAN I WAS LAST TIME. also sidenote they are NOT trying to hide his identity itâs kind of delicious. highlights include: jenkins is good friends with santa claus and mrs. claus, jenkins drops his pitcher of water when someone mentions dulaque, jenkins knows a Suspicious Amount of arthur lore in the first episode, and jenkins actually LAUGHS when eve says âmaybe dulaque falling out a plane killed him?â and says âit takes a lot more than falling out of a plane to kill u-- him. dulaque.â
A L S O THAT MORGAN LE FAY REVEAL IS LITERALLY THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD. THOSE KINDS OF REVEALS ARE MY FAVORITEÂ AND IâM KIND OF OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA THAT JENKINS AND MORGAN AND DULAQUE HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF YEARS NAVIGATING AROUND EACH OTHER.
morgan uses magic to have fun and dulaque wants power and jenkins wants to explore it and you cannot TELL me there is not 12k of angsty character study in there you cannot CONVINCE me to stop thinking about it and i will NOT because itâs EXCELLENT.
(also jenkins Insists with a capital i that ufos are not real and like, first of all, ufos are always real because they literally just mean âunidentified flying objectâ and ANYTHING can be âunidentifiedâ but also i am gonna say itâs because he was good friends with guinan for a few hundred years and heâs not gonna out her like that lmao)
Petition For Jenkins To Be Gay. i donât know which knight of the round table galahad was close with but thereâs GOTTA be one that wasnât his FATHER (disputed) or his KING or his WEIRD WIZARD UNCLE-TYPE GUY (sorry merlin)
jenkins knowing INSTANTLY that cass met the ladies of the lake was Good And Right and my only problem is that he seems to distrust them so much? i mean, i GET it, and itâs part of the conflict of the season/show (how should magic be used? should we teach people to use it or hide it away?), but also i want his opinions to be TRUSTWORTHY
SPEAKING OF S2. PETITION FOR EVE AND FLYNN AND MORIARTY TO HAVE A BRIEF FLING. NO ONE IS AS CONFUSED AS EVE IS ABOUT THIS TURN OF EVENTS. FLYNNâS LIKEÂ âoh, weâre sleeping with a fictional? an evil fictional? an evil fictional that wants to seize the library? [beat] oh, well, it was mostly prospero anyway. okay letâs do this then! never slept with a fictional before, thisâll be interesting!â
couldâve SWORN that jenkins was a fictional but apparently NOT? that combined with the idea that camelot was literally in the loom of fate makes me think that camelot was a REAL PLACE in this universe and iâm just. iâm so confused. why is he IMMORTAL i have QUESTIONS
the next ep iâm watching is The Librarians And Jake Stone Has Daddy Issues and iâm SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT IT. letâs talk about trust issues!! letâs talk about family!! PLEASE!!!!!
i watched the time loop episode. and i sobbed. a lot. it was embarrassing, frankly, and weâre not discussing it. my only real question/unresolved thing is that i couldâve sworn we got canon confirmation that ezekiel remembers it and we actually DONâT and i want to SEE the ptsd!! give me the aftermath!!!!!
i want the ot3 to date! is that too much to ask!
also iâm PRETTY SURE this ending is the one with jenkins talking about his king and yall, i am Not Prepared for this, i am going to LOSE IT. i will Never Stop Talking About It, Ever.
I KNOW EVERYONE EVER SAYS THIS BUT THEY SHOULDâVE USED JENKINSâ BACKSTORY MORE. I WANT AN EPISODE WHERE SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE PURE OF HEART. COME ON WRITERS WHAT ARE YOU, COWARDS?
uh. iâm sure i have more thoughts but i will post them at a later point. tldr i am still in love with this show and it is so good and the only ways it couldâve been improved were 1) more queerness and 2) more arthurian details. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
#the librarians#evlynn#jassekiel#jenkins#i'm gonna make a separate post about my headcanons re: jenkins' immortality but this is long enough lmao#sb and l rambles#sb and l watches the librarians#librarians headcanons#librarians ideas#ot3: the genius the thief and the historian#eve x flynn#eve x flynn x moriarty#PLEASE WATCH THIS SHOW Y'ALL#I THINK IT'S ON HULU AND I LOVE IT MORE THAN ANYTHING

10 More TV Shows You Need To See
This is the second installment of my recommendations of shows for you to add to your own lists. I watch a lot of television and Iâve got, what I consider to be at least, a wide variety of shows under my favorites.Â
If you havenât seen the first list, you donât need to unless you want to see another list of ten shows you may want to check out if youâre looking for anything new to watch.
Warning, though, some of these donât end the best way and may end up more as a disappointment. Iâll leave that up to you to decide.
I. Warehouse 13.
Pete and Myka, U.S Secret Service Agents, are deployed to South Dakotaâs Warehouse 13 with a new assignment from an authority above and outside the government.Â
Intrigued?
With the Warehouse comes assignments regarding objects that hold some sort of abilities that can cause people to do wild and crazy things. Itâs their job to find the artifacts (as they all hold significance to history) and bring them back to the Warehouse for safe keeping.
Things get wild and some serious topics get handled, but the show isnât alone. Itâs connected to another on this list, Eureka. More on that when you get to Eureka.
Some familiar faces are Eddie McClintock who played a part in Bones, one episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Joanne Kelly who played a role in The Dresden Files television series, Allison Scagliotti who played roles in Stitchers, The Vampire Diaries, and Drake & Josh, Aaron Ashmore (twin brother to Shawn Ashmore, who has been in the X-Men movies alongside appearing in The Boys, and voicing Conrad in Man of Medan) from Killjoys, Lost Girl, and Smallville, and Jamie Murray from Castelvania, Gotham, The Originals, Once Upon a Time, Defiance, and Dexter.
I highly recommend, especially because the dynamic of the characters is really interesting and covers a lot.Â
II. Eureka.
As mentioned above, this is connected to Warehouse 13. But only in the last two seasons of this show are the two connected.Â
Eureka is a town full of geniuses and advanced technology that the government funds, and when a new sheriff comes to town, heâs exposed to all the daily occurrences the locals get up to. And maybe a couple instances of time travel that may or may not have to do with the connection.
The town is full of faces you may recognize. Colin Ferguson who has roles in Haven, The Vampire Diaries, and Maytag commercials, Erica Cerra who has roles in The 100, Supernatural, Deadly Class, and the first Percy Jackson film, Felicia Day who has roles in The Magicians, Supernatural, Con Man, The Guild, Dr. Horribleâs Sing-Along Blog, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Trevor Jackson who has roles in Grown-ish, and a couple Disney productions.
Itâs a huge science fiction show and if youâre into that, give it a watch.
III. Alphas.
Now, like the two above is, Alphas is a science fiction packed drama. And itâs rumored to be connected, like be in the same universe, as Warehouse 13 and Eureka. Itâs never been confirmed, but there is one character (same name and job) that plays a part in both Alphas and Warehouse 13, which is the stem for the theory. (Plus, some other ideas floating around).Â
But Alphas focuses on a team that investigates people with supernatural abilities while they, themselves, have abilities. These powered people are referred to as Alphas, due to their nature.
Unfortunately, this show ends on a cliffhanger in its second season.
Yet, I still recommend giving it a shot because it truly is an interesting show and itâs got some people you may recognize.Â
IV. Haven.
If youâre a fan of Stephen Kingâs âColorado Kidâ, youâll most likely enjoy this show since itâs loosely based off of it.Â
Set in the coastal town of Haven, Maine, FBI Agent Audrey Parker comes to town to find that the residents have dormant curses, or rather troubles, that can be triggered at any given moment. She, along with the Sheriff and the townâs black sheep, must deal with the troublesâ deadly effects. And a few things may be revealed about herself too along the way.
Itâs pretty interesting and I enjoyed it quite a lot when I first watched it. Iâm not the biggest fan of Stephen King, and the connection seems to barely be there, but I wouldnât know given my dislike for King.Â
I highly recommend giving Haven a shot, however, especially if youâre a crime and fantasy fan.Â
V. Lost Girl.
Lost Girl focuses on the gorgeous and charismatic Bo, a supernatural being called a succubus who feeds on the energy of humans, sometimes with fatal results. Refusing to embrace her supernatural clan system and its rigid hierarchy, Bo is a renegade who takes up the fight for the underdog while searching for the truth of her own mysterious origins. (Taken from IMDB).Â
Plus, there a lesbian romance or two.Â
Now, the show itself is pretty strong holding in its own storyline and lore, but the last season does get a bit rocky feeling. It couldâve been better, and it definitely feels a little rushed, but it wasnât too bad of an ending. However, itâs not a show that got cancelled before it could wrap things up and it leaves things pretty open-ended.
In my books, thatâs a point. I highly recommend this is if youâre a fan of fantasy.
VI. Almost Human.
Unfortunately, this is one of the ones in the list that only has one season (that seems to be out of order and frankly Iâm not entirely sure of the order myself, so rely on googling it yourself and hopefully you find the right order) and was cancelled not long after airing.Â
BUT, itâs a good watch. Itâs set in the distant future, where cops are assigned an android partner to protect and serve. Things get pretty wild and Iâm quite sure there are some bombs involved at some point, but thereâs a bonus to all the madness of Almost Human.
Minka Kelly and Karl Urban. Two incredibly beautiful human beings.
I highly recommend bingeing this single season show.Â
VII. American Gods.
This shows feels very confusing. But itâs still a good watch.Â
It centers on a recently released ex-con named Shadow Moon. He runs into a man full of mystery named Wednesday (and youâll later come to find out who he really is, or you may already know given your knowledge on the book of the same name or just how well you know mythology) who seems to know more than Shadow about his own life and past.Â
There are Gods, mischief, and a lot of crazy shit in this show. So far itâs on itâs third season as far as I know (I have to rewatch the first two before I pick it back up).
You should give it a shot, but I wonât blame you if you feel way too confused about the whole thing.
VIII. The Boys.
Now, thereâs a lot of controversy regarding this Amazon Original Series, but honestly, I think everyone should at least give it a chance. I know a lot of Tumblr users were put off on trying to due to the advertisements on the site.Â
If you donât know what this series is about, it follows a group of vigilantes set on taking down the corrupt superheroes that are abusing their powers and status.
It covers a lot of ground. Murder, sabotage, terrorism, capitalism, and a lot more. Feminism and sexual harassment occur, but there are warning before each episode for what you may see in the contents.
Some familiar faces include Karl Urban, whoâs known for his roles in Thor: Ragnarok, the newer Star Trek movies, Almost Human, Lord of the Rings, and more, Erin Moriarty from Jessica Jones, Laz Alonso from The Mysteries of Laura, Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl and The Covenant, and Jensen Ackles from Supernatural has been confirmed to be joining the cast for its third season.
The Boys is currently on itâs second season, being released on a weekly schedule. So, if you like superheroes and graphic content, this show might be it for you.
IX. Chuck.
Chuck is the result of when a twenty-eight year old computer geek inadvertently downloads critical government secrets into his brain, the C.I.A. and the N.S.A. assign two agents to protect him and exploit the knowledge, turning Chuck Bartowskiâs life upside down. (Taken from IMDB).
This is one of the shows I cannot recommend enough to people. Itâs the right mixture of action and comedy, plus a little romance. Spies, love, and murder, oh my! What more could you want?Â
Plus, Zachery Levi plays Chuck. If you donât know him by name, you probably would recognize him from some of his roles with the most recent being in Shazam!, Fandral in the second and third Thor films, voicing Eugene Fitzherbert (or Flynn Rider) in Tangled, and Heroes: Reborn.Â
If Zachery Levi playing a lovable computer geek turned spy doesnât interest you, maybe some more familiar faces will.Â
Yvonne Strahovski from The Handmaidâs Tale, The Astronaut Wives Club, acting as Daenerys in a Princess Rap Battle on Youtube, and Dexter. Adam Baldwin from Firefly/Serenity, Bones, Angel, The Last Ship, and Independence Day. Brandon Routh who plays Ray Palmer from the DC Shows. Matt Bomer from Doom Patrol, American Horror Story, White Collar, Magic Mike, and True Calling.
X. Deadly Class.
Unfortunately, I have a truly bad streak with new shows. Deadly Class, like others that have been mentioned in these lists of mine, got cancelled and on a cliffhanger no less. However, that shouldnât stop you from enjoying the action-packed coming-of-age story set in the 1980s.Â
Following a new recruit for a high school training assassins, things get pretty wild when you pair death and teenagers.Â
