Here’s a special photo compilation of (animated) Tom Fisher as Graham Chapman in “Holy Flying Circus” (2011), in which I painstakingly screenshotted the scene in which Tom Fisher/Gray gets burnt alive by the Animated Northern Devil/Satan for saying one of THE most blasphemous suggestions for the movie “Life of Brian” (1979) ever said in the history of mankind! (it is a very funny scene tbh still lmao)

My reasons for this shipping of these 2?

Well Tom Fisher and Aidan Gillen had worked together before, 2 times in fact! First in the film “Shanghai Knights” (2003) (where Tom Fisher played Sir Arthur “Artie” Conan Doyle and Aidan Gillen played Lord Nelson Rathbone respectively, as shown in the first picture)

Then they worked/acted together again for a second time in the indie film “Treacle Jr” (2010) (where Tom Fisher played the character “Tom” and Aidan Gillen played the character “Aidan” respectively, as shown in the 2 pictures below)

Plus ofc they both each portrayed 2 very highly influential comedians (and who were also complicated figures themselves) in their respective biopics (Tom Fisher/Graham Chapman ; Aidan Gillen/Dave Allen) who paved the way and made a huge turning point in their respective comedy fields (Graham Chapman for surreal comedy ; Dave Allen for stand up comedy)

Plus plus ofc said comedians were smokers (Graham was a pipe smoker ; Dave was a cigarette smoker) and were both alcoholics (tho Graham & Dave did become sober later on in their lives)

So yes, this is why I’d ship Tom Fisher/Gray and Aidan Gillen/Dave together <33

Thinking about an AU where the surreal animated Graham Chapman biopic “A Liar’s Autobiography” (2012) was instead a live action biopic film instead of an animated one.

Obviously, I do really love ALA in its OG animated form as it feels more…idk…Graham-y in terms of the tone and style? Like imo it’s what Graham would’ve wanted in terms of the film being very zany and wacky and surreal in animated form, which I personally don’t think would translate as well if it was live action, y-ya’know what I mean?

HOWEVER

I would honestly watch AU live action biopic ALA IF (and this is a BIG IF mind you)……if it starred Tom Fisher in the role of Graham.

Imo, as long as AU live action biopic ALA still retained the wacky and zany tone of Animated ALA and is also just as experimental like ALA (kinda like the Elton John biopic “Rocketman” (2019) in a way?) and also had a higher budget, and also starred Tom Fisher as Graham, then I’d probably check it out tbh!

Also, Tom Fisher was absolutely WONDERFUL as Graham in “Holy Flying Circus” (2011) fr!! I deffo think he’d be great as Graham in like a MAIN role/character frfr!!

Tom Fisher as Graham Chapman: Smash. no words. he literally plays my favorite python and he does it perfectly.

Darren Boyd as John Cleese: Smash, honestly, smash. i love how he plays John and he looks fine so yes, smash.

Charles Edwards as Micheal Palin: ... do I have to say something? come on, u know what i think.

Rufus Jones as Terry Jones: COME OOONN RUFUS IS RUFUS SMASH.

Steve Punt as Eric Idle: sorry, but pass. I CAN EXPLAIN, Steve did a great job as Eric, and I like him a lot, but MHHHHHHMHHHHHH if I really have to judge aesthetically it's not smashable enough BUT I blame the wig, which, poor Steve, has the worst of all.

Phil Nichol as Terry Gilliam: least but not last aannddd... WELL, if I have to vote aesthetically I would honestly say pass, but I love his take on Terry G, I find it too funny and I have some kind of obsession with it LOL

moral of the story: Regardless, we love HFC Pythons 🫶🏻

I have been thinking about this for a while, as not only am I a fan of Tom Fisher (as well as having a crush on him teehee 🤭), but I’ve also seen Tom Fisher in other films aside from “Holy Flying Circus” (2011) and from what I’ve seen so far he’s absolutely great fr, especially as the Leading Man!! Plus I personally think he’s definitely an underrated actor and deffo think he should be in more things frfr!!

However, since I have ADHD and also never managed a second account before, I don’t know how I’ll handle that kinda thing. HOWEVER however, I am willing to at least try to do a second account, cuz it’s better to at least attempt to do smth rather than not do smth or whatever, ya’know?

Anyway hope you enjoyed reading this lil ramble of mine, and again do let me know your thoughts on this as I really wanna know! Also cuz I’m kinda excited by the prospect of starting a second blog!!
