If it’s killing a roach, the only pests though to survive a nuclear war, then why is it recommended to go inside a child’s mouth?

Dasha Burns and Alexandra Marquez at NBC News:
Former President Donald Trump said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would have a “big role in the administration” if he wins on Tuesday, telling NBC News in a phone interview that he was open to some of his more controversial ideas. Kennedy, who ran for president as an independent this year before dropping his bid and endorsing Trump, has long spread conspiracies and falsehoods about vaccines and other public health matters. He has, for example, frequently claimed that vaccines are linked to autism, even though for decades, studies have debunked this theory. Asked Sunday whether banning certain vaccines would be an option during a second term, the former president didn’t rule it out.
“Well I’m going to talk to [Kennedy] and talk to other people, and I’ll make a decision, but he’s a very talented guy and has strong views,” Trump said. Trump declined to talk about specific roles Kennedy might play in his administration, but in recent public appearances, Trump has made clear that he is envisioning a prominent role for him. “He can do anything he wants,” Trump said during an event Thursday in Arizona. He said that Kennedy was “going to work on health and women’s health,” and two sources close to the Trump campaign have told NBC News that he might play a prominent role in battling “chronic childhood disease.” On Friday, Kennedy tweeted that on its first day in office, a Trump administration would push to ban fluoride in water, claiming it is “industrial waste” that leads to problems like cancer and other diseases.
Donald Trump, with the influence of anti-vaxxer extremist RFK Jr. in his orbit increasing, does not rule out a ban on certain vaccines if he is elected.
Stop anti-vaxxer lunacy, vote Kamala Harris!

Fluorite - CaF2; From the Spar Mountain Mine in Rock, Illinois.
Pure Fluorite is actually clear, and it is impurities within the mineral makeup of the crystals that causes the colors. Most common colors are yellow, green, blue, and purple, whereas more rare or less common colors are red, brown, black, and white.

No stress if you don't want to discuss this given that awful vaccine ask but my parents have been telling me that apparently ADHD can be caused by fluoride. Upon a quick google search, it seems like there's a few studies but an ABA therapy site says something about fluoride causing autism so I'm inclined to be doubtful of both bc yikes. My parents are also very "yeah but if you could cure your ADHD wouldn't you want to to make your life easier?" so again I'm not inclined to trust them on stuff like this.
*sighs*
Hi there,
I specifically said that I did not want asks like this.
However, I will answer yours because your parents sound just as ignorant than that anon.
Firstly, fluoride is found everywhere. It is in your toothpaste to strengthen your teeth, preventing tooth decay, and also making them more resistant to acids (I think this is referring to fruit juice, but please correct me if I’m wrong). But it can have adverse effects if taken in large quantities, which is very unlikely.
Here are some sources about fluoride and how it affects the body:
I hope these sources help educate you and your parents.
Also, the prevention and cure for ADHD to make your life easier sounds ableist as hell. (Not trying to be mean, just upset and angry that people aren’t willing to do their own research)
I hope this helps. And I hope you have a wonderful day/night. ♥️

AP, via The Guardian:
Utah has become the first US state to ban fluoride in public drinking water, despite widespread opposition from dentists and national health organizations. The Republican governor, Spencer Cox, signed legislation late on Thursday that bars cities and communities from deciding whether to add the mineral to their water systems. Fluoride strengthens teeth and reduces cavities by replacing minerals lost during normal wear and tear, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Utah lawmakers who pushed for a ban said putting fluoride in water was too expensive. Cox, who grew up and raised his own children in a community without fluoridated water, compared it recently to being “medicated” by the government. The ban comes weeks after the US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has expressed skepticism about water fluoridation, was sworn into office. More than 200 million people in the US, or almost two-thirds of the population, receive fluoridated water through community water. The addition of low levels of fluoride to drinking water has long been considered one of the greatest public health achievements of the last century. But some cities across the country have gotten rid of fluoride from their water, and other municipalities are considering doing the same. A few months ago, a federal judge ordered the US Environmental Protection Agency to regulate fluoride in drinking water, arguing that high levels could pose a risk to the intellectual development of children.
In a win for anti-fluoride conspiracist cranks, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) signs HB81 into law, making the Beehive State the first to ban fluoride in public drinking water.
