Welcome Home Cottagecore AU
Yeah boi, here we go- I posted about it already on Wattpad and AO3, but I wanted to offer it to more people! ^^ I only have a scribble of Cottagecore Wally rn, but hopefully a more proper drawing will come soon! Aside from that, enjoy some facts about Wally and introductions for the other neighbors under the cut! ^^
Tumblr media
About Wally
1) He is 3ft smol! :3 (Yes, canon height >:3)
2) Wally is a little menace. But he's cute. So he gets away with it.
3) He always rolls up his pant legs a little, otherwise they'd be too long.
4) Of course Cottage Wally always wants to look dapper, so he wears his pompadour, a now green ascot, well worn dress shirt, olive waistcoat and his usual or brown shoes.
5) His absolute favorite piece of clothing however is his giant, oversized, beige cardigan, that the newest neighbor in their village (that neighbor being YOU) "lent" him.
6) You'll never get it back.
7) The sleeves are so long, they cover his hands most of the time. Which comes in very "handy" when "borrowing" apples from Howdy's farm.
8) Without his cardigan he gets very cold and upset.
9) That's why he wears it ALL the time. :)
10) All his clothes are mostly brown, beige or green.
11) He loves drawing outside! That's why he always has twigs, leaves and flower petals stuck in his hair. And the occasional bandaid on his "nose" or cheek, cause man's a little clumsy.
12) Wally blinks owlishly (like, one eye at a time) when he doesn't understand something.
13) Home is a tree house in this AU!
14) Underneath Home, Wally has a flower garden, where he grows his own special "spiral flowers".
15) Wally can see through these spiral flowers.
16) Wally has given each neighbor a spiral flower as a symbol of his friendship and platonic love. :)
17) Wally has an especially fluffy bed of flowers underneath Home's entrance, so he can just jump down into them without getting hurt.
18) Wally loves to nap in flower beds. No matter where.
19) He has a swing made from vines.
20) Flower crowns all day baby! One for every occasion and weather.
21) If his flowers wilt a little, he will ask Julie to drop by and talk to his flowers to figure out whats wrong with them.
22) Wally has freckles in this AU! :3
About Howdy
Howdy is a farmer in this AU, who does both: Grow crops and raise animals. Whatever his neighbors may need, be it wheat, milk, butter, cheese or wool - no matter! - he's got it all and is happy to sell or share. It's a lot of work tho, to maintain a farm. Even when he's got four hands! So naturally he appreciates any help he can get and will repay accordingly. A jolly, big floof with a big heart, who adores a good joke to lighten the mood during work.
About Poppy
Poppy loves to go on walks in the woods. She has a little nack for collecting all sorts of mushrooms. But fret not! She knows each and every one of them by heart! Same goes for all types of herbs, nuts and berries and everything else you can forage for. She usually ends up cooking stock, conserving/drying the things she collected, to make tea from it or even home made medicine. She always makes wayyy too much for just herself tho, so she gives a lot of it away to the neighbors. Sweet, gentle and caring as usual.
About Frank
Frank is the local librarian, who keeps the small community building (where the library is in) in check. He's also keeps bees as a hobby. His bees usually fly around either the community area or Howdy's fruit trees. He knows a lot - and I mean A LOT - about all sorts of insects, with his favorite still being butterflies. Frank always seems to act a little off when Eddie's around. He is usually very disciplined and stern, but likes to loosen up every now and then.
About Eddie
Eddie is your local mailman! And if he isn't delivering newspapers or letters, he helps Howdy out on the farm. He just looooves the animals there. He's quite clumsy and gullible, sure, but he has the potential to be the best friend you could ever ask for. His favorite spot to hang out in is the community area of the village. A big guy, who is (not so) secretly an even bigger softie.
About Frank & Eddie's relationship
Now, both of them are obviously gay. For each other. A LOT. Eddie is super chill and open about his feelings towards Frank and likes to flirt with him whenever he gets the chance. Or he flatters him with small gestures like giving his hand a smol kiss, when they meet.
Now here's the thing: Everyone knows that Frank is gay. Except for Frank himself. He's just way too stubborn and proud to admit to himself that he's fallen in love with Eddie. Thus he hasn't even figured out he's gay yet. But: He still gets this fuzzy feeling and red cheeks when Eddie's around. Frank still gets flustered and worked up, when Eddie gives him a compliment. Which annoys Frank to no end, because he cannot figure out why he's feeling the way he does. But Eddie is blissfully unbothered by this, knowing exactly what's going on with Frank. So he keeps up his flirting and patiently waits for Frank to come out of his shell.
TLDR: Shenanigans ensue. In a comical way. And yes, they'll become a couple later on. ;)
About Sally
Sally is an aspiring musician and poet, hoping to swoon the world one day. She can often be found just lounging around in scenic spots, strumming away on her guitar or banjo and humming these sweet, sweet tunes. She is a dreamer and more easygoing character, who adores poetry and duets with her friends.
About Julie
Julie is the local florist in the village. She knows every single flower by name, considering she can speak to them. She likes to help her friends to tend to their gardens and keeps the flowers in the community area in check together with Frank. She is a very chipper gal, who enjoys quality time with others which may or may not involve taking them on little adventures outside of the village.
About Barnaby
Barns is still Wally's best friend and tells his jokes like there's no tomorrow! But the Funny Business isn't his only one! He usually helps Howdy with herding, when Eddie isn't available or does all sorts of odd jobs throughout the whole village. His friends and neighbors appreciate him for his helpful and relaxed nature. When anyone got a problem, he usually calms them down by already having a good solution and offering to help. The only downside? They'll have to endure his petrifying puns all the while!

Hullo, I have been searching for a description of everyone in your AU (physically wise) but I have to admit I did not find any that would be complete? Or maybe I'm super blind, that works too lol XD but can I ask for one? Or the link to the one you did if you already did that?
I don’t think I ever did give one? And this might be inconsistent from what I have given but pretty much how I see them:
Logan: 6’1. He more serious looking than the others even though he’s probably one of the sweetest, with very dark brown almost black hair that he slicks back in a quiff. Lean build bc he works out a lot. Very nice arms. Wears clothes somewhere between hipster and professor-esque. A jawline that can cut a bitch and mesmerizing blue eyes. Super mischievous smirk. Can look extremely menacing. The most conventionally handsome out of all of them, so he does get plenty of attention from people which can get annoying.
Everyone’s favorite feature: The big smile he gives when one of them does something that makes him feel extremely fond.
Patton: 6’3. He’s the most puppy like, but can be extremely menacing just like Logan. He’s a little on the softer side, more like Thomas’ build around 2015ish. Used to be really muscular, but stopped working out after sports. It makes him perfect for cuddles! Dresses really preppy, can be found often with cardigans wrapped around his shoulders and in quirky button up T-shirt’s with cute prints. Hazel eyes, freckles, and a huge grin. Dyes his hair all the time, and it’s a cute little curly mess on his head. Always smiling.
Everyone’s favorite feature: His freckles! He’s the only one with noticeable ones and they love it.
Remy: 6’. Skinny- like the kind of body that people have when they don’t work out that makes you jealous bc you wish but then you realize it’s okay because you’re beautiful no matter what size you are. ( I. LOVE. YOU. ALL.) He dresses like an absolute greaser, leather jackets and sunglasses and all. Always has a flirty look in his eyes and has been known to wear his sunglasses inside because he forgets they’re there. The others will sing “Sunglases indoor, par for the course” to remind him. Hair shaved on the sides and long on top, left swept to his right side. Dark brown almost black eyes.
Everyone’s favorite feature: his hair. They don’t know how it stays in place but it does. They can mess it up all they want, but he flips it away and it’s back to normal again.
Roman: 5’7 1/2. The half is important. Tanner than the rest of them, with a cute little beauty mark under his left eye because I have to okay? He’s very lean/skinny. Hipster dress sense but don’t say that because he’ll start crying. Light brown eyes that the others have deemed the prettiest brown eyes they’ve ever seen. When he looks into the light sometimes they come off as dark orange. Chestnut brown hair that’s a lot like Logan’s but more swoopy, so it hangs over a bit on the end. Wears makeup a lot, usually with a dark lip. Very loud and animated, offended princey noises are a real thing here. The second most conventionally handsome.
Everyone’s favorite feature: His little beauty mark and his lip shape. Both agreed upon as being really pretty.
Virgil: 5’5. The palest of them all. Extremely skinny to the point where the others were worried about him for a long time. Even after he starts working out, he has a hard time building muscle mass so he’s just pretty toned. Dresses pretty pastel/punk with a mix of emo/hipster. Loves skirts and dresses and makeup. Extremely gorgeous eyes bc he has central heterochromia. Dark brown hair, but he dyes the top of it purple. His sides are short and the top flops to one side like Remy’s, but has a habit of falling into his face. Wavy hair.
Everyone’s favorite feature: His eyes. They’re unique, his pupils are ringed in brown, and that melts into green with a much darker, almost black ring around his iris.
Dee: 5’8. Somewhat soft. He’s somewhere in the middle of Patton and Logan, so they all love cuddling him too. Dee and Patton have in fact been deemed the best to cuddle. Dress sense is a lot like Roman’s, but more laid back and lazy. Lots of beanies. Has a scar across the left side of his face from when he was a kid. He has heterochromia, so one green and one brown eye. Dark hair but he bleaches the top of it, and it falls into his eyes. Extremely self conscious about his scar, but everyone insists that it makes him unique and they love it.
Everyone’s favorite feature: His eyes and his hair. They pat it when it’s out of a beanie, and Virgil and Patton will go “fluffy fluffy fluffy boy.”

#i loved that scene okay #i feel it is important to john's character and his development #it might be nothing but still (theblackwook)
It was definitly important. IMO he was sailing to escape experiances/things he had done in the camps but after he left he couldn’t sail anymore cos instead of helping, it started to remind him of Cincinnati so he stopped. And of course Helen knows all about it cos John confides in her.

Prompt: You and a special someone spend an afternoon and evening in a seaside place like Amalfi. I hope this helps! Thank you for sharing your writing with us; I’ve read your work for years and I think it’s amazing!
Thank you for the prompt! This led me on a nifty little hike. It’s so fluffy fluffy super fluff. I hope you enjoy. And thank you for the compliment! It means a lot.
Never Forever
After her sister’s wedding, the thought of love at all soured Theresa’s stomach. She cringed when she saw couples in the grocery store, debating over which cereal to buy. She left work silently, pushing the old Nova to its limits, out to the pier, walking silently in the salt breeze, her phone in the car.
And when she returns to it, on Monday and Tuesday both, there is only one text, short and gentle, from Henry.
“Good day?” on Monday. Then on Tuesday, “Are you okay?”
Just like him, quiet and sweet, not pushing. No “Call me!” I’m worrying, fix my worry. Just a question.
It hangs on the breeze.
It’s not him. There’s nothing in the world wrong with him. But everything with her. A long road back from the weird little inconvenient flashbacks after a wild ex started showing up everywhere she went, at horrible intervals so as soon as she forgot about him, he would pop up again. His face as blank as the moon.
Never menacing enough to involve the police, just there, in the distance. The wail of a siren. The far off bark of a dog. The feeling of being hunted, slowly stalked.
She pulled into herself, cold all the time, wrapping her cardigan tightly around herself even in the balmy 80s of late September.
On Wednesday she is out on the pier again, worrying that now someone could track her movements – could guess that she might be here now that she has been here twice in a row already, and now three times.
Don’t be predictable. Don’t be predictable.
The green-grey clouds are rolling in, and so is the end of things with Henry. It always rolls in after three months, that terrible season that kills all love. The Season of Obligation.
He has given so much, he will say. Why can’t she trust him, he will say. He will pull, and her heart will switch off, and it will spoil love.
Her phone buzzes, in her pocket by accident today.
“May I come over tonight?”
“Sure,” she texts back. “Bring stuff for pasta bake?”
And he says he will, and she turns on her heel to march back to the big silvery-blue car, warm and curved like the body of a whale. Might as well get it over with.
*****
She dawdles on the way home, but still beats him to her apartment anyway. She has straightened things, wiped down the table, and stuck her breakfast dishes into the soapy water when he knocks on the door.
She can’t help but smile when she sees him, smiling and tall, a soft green shirt and fresh jeans on his lovely thighs.
“What are you laughing about,” he says, grinning.
“Your thighs,” she says.
His eyes go wide.
“They’re very finely made.”
He pauses. She doesn’t lean in for a kiss.
“It’s good to see you,” he says, setting the paper bag on the kitchen counter.
“You too,” she says, awkwardly squeezing his arm.
The question hangs in the air–
What’s wrong? What’s wrong?
But she cooks in silence.
“Smells good,” he says, and wraps his arms around her from behind. She flinches.
“I’m sorry,” she says, under her breath, grabbing two plates. “It’s just… Well, you know the stuff I told you about Josh, it’s… It’s not better yet.”
“I would talk to him if you wanted me to,” he says.
“I don’t,” she says, her voice hollow. “I don’t want it to touch you.” When she turns to him she can already feel the hot tears standing in her eyes. “You’re too good for this.”
But he just smiles, taking the plates and sliding forks and cloth napkins beside each. She goes to the oven to pull the casserole dish out, the smell of baking cheese and tomato sauce filling the air. It bubbles slightly.
When she turns back around, Henry has lit two cream-colored tapers. She sighs.
She drops the casserole heavily on the hot pad and shrinks into herself again, crossing her arms and holding herself as she shivers.
He reaches across the table, his hand open. She takes it, and he rests his other hand on the back of hers, pressing gently.
“I like you,” he says.
“I like you.”
“You’re very special to me,” he says. “Your sister’s wedding got me thinking–”
“Henry…”
“Please, listen.”
“Okay. Yes. Okay. Sorry.”
“I was thinking, your honeymoon was so long ago.”
She laughs, one ugly burst. Indeed, a world away, a thousand years ago.
“And full of memories you’d rather forget.”
“Yeah.”
“And…”
“What?”
“It’s… Well, I don’t want it to seem…” He sighs.
“You can say it.” She pulls her hand back and hugs herself tightly. “I know it’s not enough for you. What we have right now. I know.”
“Theresa, that’s not it at all,” he says. “Not at all.”
“No?” She stares down at her food.
“No, I was thinking, if you don’t want to get married again, then–”
“Henry, I can’t. I won’t. I can’t even think about–”
He holds his palm out toward her. Stop.  “Just listen. Please.”
“Sorry. Again. Sorry.” She picks up her water glass.
“I was just thinking, if you’re never marrying again, then I’ll probably never have a honeymoon either.”
She chokes slightly, sputtering. “What?”
He takes her hand again, his eyes burning with an odd light.
“You could still have one,” she says, shrugging.
“That’s just it, Theresa,” he says, squeezing. “I don’t know if I will.”
“What are you saying?”
“I love you,” he says, pulling his hand back.
Hot tears hit the table beside her plate.
“Come on a honeymoon with me,” he says.
She covers her face with her hands. “I can’t.”
“But just the best part,” he says.
“What?”
“No wedding,” he says. “Just the part where I love you.”
She looks up at him, her eyes wide.
“You don’t have to say it back,” he says. “Not unless you mean it.” He sits back in his chair. “No expectations. I know it’s been hard on you, this new drama with Josh, the busy season at work. The flashbacks. Theresa, you’re so strong to get through this.”
“I’m so fucking weak. I’m an idiot,” she says. “And I’m wrecking everything.”
“You get up every day and keep going.”
“And I’m ruining things for you,” she says. “You’re so good, and you’re so ready to love, and–”
“Maybe it’s time for you to just receive love,” he says. “Real love this time.”
She is crying again. “I’m sorry,” she says. “It’s just… I don’t know how…”
“No apologies,” he says. “Just give me this chance.”
She looks up, gasping lungs full of cool breath. His eyes rimmed with red like hers.
“Give me this chance,” he says. “Give me only what you want to give.”
“You know I’ve had a hard time… touching. And being touched. And on a vacation…”
“Let me give you this,” he says simply. “Let me love you in whatever way you can take love. And eat obscene amounts of Mediterranean shellfish.” He grins.
She smiles.
“You still like seafood, right?”
“Always,” she says.
“And you still have your passport, right?”
“Of course.” The grin still pulling at the corners of her mouth.
“I like to see you smile,” he says.
She looks down.
“Don’t blush,” he says. “Eat up. We’re going to stay up all night packing. Our flight leaves tomorrow. All night over the Atlantic.”
She smiles, wiping the last of the tears from her eye and stabbing her fork into a giant bite of cheesy bowtie pasta.
*****
On the plane to a little town stuck between to ancient mountains. He picked it a month ago, and was waiting until he thought she might say yes, he says.
“Is love holding your hand during takeoff?”
“Yes,” she says, sliding her fingers into his palm.
The cabin pressurizes and the pull of gravity as the plane speeds and finally lets go of the earth lulls her. She falls asleep on his shoulder, the first time she has ever been able to sleep in an airplane. The best sleep she has had in a while, on or above the ground. She has been jumping at every sound since Josh showed up in the alleyway behind work, smoking a cigarette and not even looking at her as she ran to her car, too scared to even pause to make a phone call.
Henry touches her hair with his fingertips, gently stroking as she stirs. Outside the scratched-up plane window it is late afternoon. The sun is a brilliant apricot.
“We’re here, love,” he says.
*****
The cab stops at the sidewalk, two doors down from a cafe. “Coffee?” he says. “Or up to the cabin?”
“I want to,” she says, the words flowing from her now, gentle and slow. No apologies in the warmth beside him. “But I don’t know if I can do the… There are a lot of people around. Crowds.”
He nods.
“But I want to see the city,” she says.
“The perfect place,” says the cab driver.
“I’m sorry?” says Henry.
“I know the perfect place,” he says. “Not far from where you are staying. Ten more minutes, not too bad fare. Okay?”
She hugs Henry’s arm. “Sure,” she says, smiling.
“Go, mate,” Henry says.
They twist and turn up a craggy mountain as the setting sun shines golden and hot in the car window. A cool and shadowed switchback, and then out onto the mountain face again. Finally, the car pulls to a stop in some gravel in a small clearing. A few other cars are parked there, tourists wandering slowly down adjacent paths.
“Over there,” says the cab driver, pointing to a clearing between two junipers.
Henry turns back, paying the driver. “Thank you,” he says.
He smiles, pulling their backpacks from the trunk, and crunches back down the mountain road.
“Is love letting me carry that for you?” he says, lifting her backpack to his own shoulder.
“You don’t have to do that,” she says.
“I know I don’t,” he says. “You are not yet my despotic overlord.” He grins.
“Not yet,” she says. “But watch out.”
They walk down toward the grove of trees, the air growing cooler by the moment. She takes his arm. He squeezes her hand with his own.
And the trees open, and there laid out in front of them is the glittering light of the town, down at the base of the mountain, the deep purple shadows in the valley deepening as the golden sunset in the background intensifies.
He sits, dropping his pullover on the gravel and grass beside him. She sits, but he doesn’t touch her, just watches.
She wipes tears away. “I’m sorry for crying,” she says. The quiet, the sweet air smelling like gin and cedar, the gentle glittering of the lights below. And Henry, gentle and right there. Just waiting, and… there. “Maybe it’s not the right time,” she says. “Maybe it was too early, me and you, and–”
“I can wait,” he says. “With you, or apart, if it has to be.”
She hooks her arm in his. “With me, please,” she says, leaning her head on his shoulder, breathing in the faint scent of his soap. She cries again, and he cradles her face in his hand, pushing the tears in an arc across her cheek with his thumb.
“Take your time,” he says.
Her breath is ragged and the feels the final sob bubble up and spill over, and then a sudden release, a sudden evergreen breeze. She holds his arm more tightly.
She sits up and reaches over, tracing his jaw with her fingertips, the slight roughness of a day of stubble tickling her. He looks at her. She runs her fingers across the base of his neck and leans in, closing her eyes.
“Do you want a kiss?” he says, and she smiles, nodding. He takes her face in his hands, leaning in to slowly press his lips to hers.
She breathes it in, opens her lips slightly, inviting him deeper, and he is there, warm, the touch of his hands buzzing with energy on her jaw. A slight moan from deep in his throat. She twists her fingers into the waves of his hair and kisses back, her heart pounding.
He pulls away a moment, then touches her lips gently again with his, then nuzzles into her neck, a warm kiss there.
She smiles, letting her head fall back.
He wraps his arms around her waist from behind, speaking low into her ear.
“Can I say I love you?” he says, smiling.
“Only if you kiss me again,” she says. He bends and presses a kiss in the tender spot beneath her ear. She turns to him, kissing slow, smiling against his lips.
“How about now?” he says.
“Only if you promise never to love me forever.”
“I won’t,” he says quickly.
“Oh, yeah?”
“I’ll only love you right now,” he says, tightening his arms around her.
She looks up at the edge of the moon and lets go, leaning back on him, letting him hold her. “How’s that?” she says.
“It’s never forever,” he says, tracing her bottom lip with his thumb, bending down with a prayerful kiss.
He pulls back, his eyes full of light. “But it’s always right now.”
The sun slips below the horizon, and above their heads, the stars come out.

The 5 Knitwear Trends Ruling Autumn
While the weather outside is certainly frightful, we're secretly happy that knitwear season is upon us. Whether it's settling in at the cinema (we can't be the only ones excited for the new Star Wars), finding a corner in a dimly lit pub (beside a roaring fire, natch) or cooking up a feast at home (find the best winter recipes here), it's all about keeping cosy over the next few months. Thankfully, there is a host of sweet knitwear making hibernation all the more appealing. Far from your standard pullover, AW19's offering is super playful, from Dennis the Menace-inspired stripes to psychedelic space dye fabrications. Click through to find our edit of this season's best knits.
You can thank the return of '90s grunge for the plethora of bold striped knits on offer this season. Everyone from Angel Chen to Miuccia Prada to Bella Freud gave us chunky knitted horizontal stripes for AW19, so channel your inner Kurt Cobain (or Dennis the Menace or Freddy Krueger) by teaming black stripes with acid greens or contrasting reds.
Ganni Button-Embellished Striped Cashmere Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Topshop Charcoal Grey Knitted Stripe Crew Neck Jumper, $, available at Topshop
Miu Miu Cropped Striped Cashmere Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
The Ragged Priest Fine Knit Jumper In Mixed Stripe, $, available at ASOS
Prada Logo-Intarsia Metallic Striped Sweater, $, available at Matches Fashion
The catwalks of London Fashion Week threw up plenty of homages to traditional craftsmanship this season, in particular at JW Anderson, Molly Goddard and Victoria Beckham, who all gave us argyle knits. The heritage diamond pattern is often associated with Pringle of Scotland (its collaboration with H&M is one of our recent favourites) but you'll find pieces at Mango and Lazy Oaf, too.
Molly Goddard Gabriella Argyle Knitted Cardigan, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Violeta By Mango Rhombus Knit Sweater, $, available at Mango
Miu Miu Cropped Argyle Wool Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Lazy Oaf Pink & Yellow Harlequin Cardigan, $, available at Lazy Oaf
Victoria Beckham Argyle Mohair-Blend Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
The rollneck knit is a perennial classic, with the '70s trend providing plenty of autumnal hues to channel our inner Ali McGraw in Love Story. But AW19 gave us more innovative iterations, with brighter than bright shades and patterns making for a more daring get-up. Think neon shades, vibrant tie-dye and standout colour blocking and you're good to go.
Urban Outfitters Lime Cut-Out Rib-Knit Funnel Neck Top, $, available at Urban Outfitters
Aries Tie-Dyed Wool Turtleneck Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Arket Rib-Knitted Alpaca Blend Jumper, $, available at Arket
Solace London Dania Ribbed-Knit Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Collusion Roll Neck Jumper In Green, $, available at ASOS
Did someone say Chalet Girl? Fair Isle knits, once the preserve of tourists and dads enthusiastically planning a ski trip, the traditional alpine pattern has come up trumps for AW19. At once classic and kitsch, we're pairing with kick-flare denim both slopeside and in the city. Head to Beyond Retro and Rokit for the best vintage pieces.
Monki Nordic Ski Knit, $, available at Monki
Holzweiler Intarsia Knitted Turtleneck Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Violeta By Mango Geometric Jacquard Sweater, $, available at Mango
Stella McCartney Fair Isle-Knit Wool-Blend Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Annalisa Fair Isle Jumper, $, available at Navabi
We've been hooked on mohair ever since we saw Nastassja Kinski and her perfect bob in a pink knitted dress in Paris, Texas. For AW19, everyone from Balmain and Celine to MSGM and Ports 1961 got in on the fluffy texture. While our favourite pieces are reminiscent of a 1970s John Lydon look (holey and striped), Alexachung and ASOS have some cosy options too.
Alexa Chung Mohair-Blend Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
ASOS CURVE Square Neck Fluffy Jumper With Short Sleeve, $, available at ASOS
Mango Fluffy Sweater, $, available at Mango
Munthe Dinner Striped Knitted Sweater, $, available at Net-A-Porter
Weekday Cherich Sweater, $, available at Weekday
Space dye is the process of dyeing different segments of yarn in various hues to create a trippy optical illusion. The colouring technique was popularised by Missoni but the high street has plenty of options this autumn/winter, from Urban Outfitters' rainbow-hued number to Calvin Klein's thoroughly grunge take. We're teaming Weekday's offering with black leather trousers for an easy everyday get-up.
Urban Outfitters Ombre Spacedye Balloon Sleeve Jumper, $, available at Urban Outfitters
Monki Heavy Knit Turtleneck Sweater, $, available at Monki
CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC Oversized Space-Dye Wool Cardigan, $, available at Matches Fashion
Topshop Teal Knitted Space Dye Jumper, $, available at Topshop
Weekday Kirsten Turtleneck, $, available at Weekday
Like what you see? How about some more R29 goodness, right here?
