In my Polycrub warm weather has encourage a Paeonia 'Bartzella' (peony) to flower. This plant is an intersectional hybrid between a tree peony and a herbaceous peony forming a plant about 80cm high with a woody base. The large, semi-double lemon-yellow flowers are scented.

thoughts on Elbie's scent

ok so remember that apparently there is not a strong scent associated with elbie the way there is for others (william roses, harrison mint) etc.

but i did finally take screenshots of the section where kate says there is indeed a smell to him, but only if you're basically being embraced by him -

so i was thinking: ahhh he smells sweet. it must be like a skin scent, very naturally sweet and not anything too saccharine (like alfons). but what would that sweet smell be? is it also fresh linen? i don't think so as he hardly spends time in bed.. is it perfumes and cologne? no since he actually doesn't put much thought into using beautiful products himself.

then during my umpteenth playthrough of his route, when kate runs into him in the gardens, i realized: what if the faintly sweet smell on him is of the garden flowers? (｡>﹏<)

remember, that's how his episode 0 starts off, with him in the garden just looking up at kate's window... he says he always goes to the garden when he can't sleep, or else his secret beach. and he's had ellis cut down whole flower bushes in the past because he likes it!

i imagine some of his outer coat drapes on the wet dew that sits on top of the flowers, and spending such time with them, he picks up a light floral scent on him. if he goes to the beach after, the scent is probably locked in by the sea salt spray.

so elbie may smell like a sweet garden, with a hint of sea salt mist.. ahhhh ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ very fresh and unisex smells i believe..
