Florian was born to a powerful witch mother and a celestial father, the perfect harmony of power and the perfect weapon to fight against the growing darkness. Florian was born to help bring balance to the world and everyone who knew of his birth swore to take his secret to their grave, which they did. In private he trained with his father and in public, he trained with his mother, to everyone outside their small village, he was a simple witch. 

As time passed, Florian got stronger and stronger, his secret was harder to keep but the villagers kept their mouths shut. He helped in his mother's potion shop and after his father was killed by the vampires, he traveled with his mother across the European continent selling medicinal herbs and potions for them to make a living on the road. Eventually, his mother passed as well and Florian continued the family business and became a skilled healer, many believing that the boy was simply a white witch. 

Florian served kings and overlords, vampires, and nonvampires with his skills. Despite his hatred of vampires, he never raised a hand to them, he helped those that came to him for help and opened up a small medical facility in Florence, Italy to help those in need. He studied all the latest medical breakthroughs and incorporated them into his practice. Building himself extensive wealth that he poured back into the community, keeping only enough so that he could live comfortably but nothing more. 

During his time as a healer, he worked on every species imaginable and he learned that an uprising was happening, just as his father had predicted centuries ago. He saw the tensions in the streets, he was dealing with more and more injuries to vampires and non-vampires, and in 1754, the Second War happened. Florian fought on the side of the faeries as expected, serving as both a healer, soldier and spy. His skill on the battlefield earned him a fearsome reputation as a skilled warrior but even his skill in battle wasn’t enough to push the faeries to victory. Vampires cemented their control of the world and Florian’s species, the Kresnik, were either enslaved or outright slaughtered, their numbers falling into the low digits. Florian managed to evade capture and fled the country, finding his way to France where he changed his name and tried to live a normal life. Despite the loss, Florian didn’t give up completely on a free world, using his charm and looks to gain intelligence about vampire movements and gave that information to the rebel groups whenever they asked for his assistance. While he was serving as a spy, Florian went to medical school and became a doctor, then opened a medical facility to treat supernaturals and non-supernaturals, moving only when he felt the vampire hunters were closing in on his location. 

Over the next 200 years, Florian served as a doctor in France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Portugal. Traveling across the European continent to offer aid to those that needed it. It was on his latest trip to the Italian peninsula that he heard that the councilmen from Portugal, Spain and Egypt had died under questionable circumstances. Florian didn’t know them well but had offered his medical expertise to them when they asked. On his return to Italy, he was summoned by the Councilman there, a vampire by the name of Raphael De Luca.

Florian tried his best to stay out of the limelight when it came to the Vampire Council, especially since he had fought on the opposite side during the war. In his meeting with Raphael, he was asked about his latest travels and offered a position at Krovs castle. The Kresnik sensed that this was more the councilman telling him instead of asking so he politely accepted. News of his appointment reached the ears of rebel groups who approached him and asked for his assistance once again in gaining intelligence on the Vampire Council and the occupations of the castle.

Finn knew his next fight wouldn't be as easy as his last two. The competition was narrowing down to the toughest competitors and he had a solid idea of what his opponent this round was capable of. Head doctor Florian Hargreaves was a kresnik who'd lived nearly twice as long as Finn had. Celestial hybrid versus demon, holy fire versus hell fire, good versus evil. Florian's witch half –– one that Finn was very familiar with after serving Faust and his coven for nearly 600 years –– held the advantage with more versatile spell-casting while Finn soaked in as much violence and bloodshed to further empower himself through his wrathful sin.

It could go either way, in his opinion. It all depended on how they both played to their strengths.

He met the young-looking doctor across the field from him as the barrier sealed them in. "Don't make it easy for me on my behalf," the familiar called out to Florian. The bell went off right after the announcer said his piece and Finn didn't waste a moment. He bolted from his spot faster than a bullet, charging at the kresnik and slamming his fist into the man's chest with a force strong enough to send him flying backwards.

Reflecting on the hours he had been imprisoned within these walls, Nikola thought back to the events that had unfolded upon his arrival. Without fully understanding his surroundings, his disoriented instincts led him to mistakenly perceive a nearby guard as a threat. Before he could apologize he felt his arms being twisted roughly behind him, a grotesque pop filled the air as the shifter let out a piercing canine yelp. In his panicked and pained state, Nikola bit into the nearest thing he could reach: a slave's calve. He had never been one to out swiftly on a bite, his body aching from the struggle until he had been pried off the slave. Brought before the doctor, he was unable to endure the imposed helplessness any longer. His body contorting as he growled threats, ripping out the line, and making the doctor's job near impossible in the moment until dismissed.

The shifter's disheveled appearance and the barely restrained aggression in his posture spoke volumes about the chaos he had caused earlier. Nikola bristled as the white coated man approached, the scent of the doctor's intentions mingled with the sterile smell, creating a disconcerting blend. Nikola glared at Hargreaves from across the room as he stepped closer, a growl rising in his chest at the movement. The scars on his body told tales of past confrontations and abuse, and his demeanor hinted at a volatile nature that could erupt at any moment. He was being more than generous with the other by not charging him. This was not a place he wanted to be, and the last thing he needed was some doctor attempting to play savior.

Still, the pain in his shoulder was becoming increasingly unbearable, and a small voice inside him whispered that perhaps this one could provide some relief. Yet, his gaze never wavered, watching Florian's every move like a predator assessing its prey. His feral instincts were still pulsing through his veins, and the mention of setting his shoulder caused him to bare teeth. This prison didn't strike him as a place for polite requests or medical niceties, and Nikola had learned to be wary of anyone offering help from past experience. "No shit I dislocated it," Nikola grumbled in a tone that resembled a mix of human and canine vocals. "The last time I trusted a doctor he tried to neuter me. So, forgive my apprehension." Nikola shifted slightly, testing the limits of his own pain, his face contorting slightly in agony.

With that he attempted to reset his shoulder. His teeth gritting painfully as the stream of swears tapered off into a pained whine, ragged pants leaving him as he sat back in defeat. His shifter instincts prompted a more instinctive response, a blend of canine behavior with the remnants of human consciousness. This prison didn't strike him as a place for polite requests or medical niceties, and Nikola had learned to be wary of anyone offering help from past experience. Finally the doctor's offer seemed to register differently, and there was a glimmer of understanding in Nikola's eyes. Hesitantly he nodded toward the older man, he allowing the doctor to approach, revealing a blend of caution and a grudging acknowledgment of the help being offered. "But if you think you can fix it without ending up with a chunk missing, go ahead. Just be quick about it." He muttered, a subtle warning lacing his words.

Florian had been in his office working when he heard that a new arrival had caused a scene and done some damage. So, the doctor made his way down to the Undercroft to deal with the aftermath of Nikola's arrival. By the time that he arrived, Nikola had already bit another slave in the calf and nearly mauled one of the guards. It was an interesting sight, although it did annoy the kresnik as he enough paperwork on his desk and didn't need anymore.

After the guards managed to subdue Nikola. Florian set up a portable IV to give the other fluids which would aid in his recovery. He planned on resetting his shoulder and arm after the IV drugs did their job but Nikola had other ideas as he ripped the IV out just minutes after Florian had put it in his arm.

So Florian sent the other back down to the Undercroft and told the guards he'd come down a few hours later to check on Nikola. After finishing his incident report, Florian returned to the Undercroft and stood against the wall in his white doctors jacket and smiled. "I can help you. If you'll let me." He tells him. "I'm Doctor Hargreaves." He informs Nikola and takes a step towards him. "You dislocated your shoulder and I couldn't set it. Can I set it now?" He asks politely, standing a safe distance away in the case that Nikola lashed out at him.

Every time that a new arrival walks into Krovs, they're given a medical assessment to assess their health and address any concerns that they may have. Normally, those assessments are done by the Head Doctor, Florian Hargreaves. But being the castle doctor meant that he was often overworked and had to prioritize, meaning that the new arrivals were stuck with his nurses who did the assessment. Although Florian took his job seriously, his assistants sometimes didn't which is how things like a fucked up ankle don't get addressed for a few days. When Florian did realize that Taliesin was suffering, he had the other brought up to the infirmary so he could personally look assess the injury.

Pulling up a swivel chair, Florian gave the other a bright smile. "I'll be the judge of that." he told him and turned his attention to the ankle. "You shouldn't have been walking around on this, but I think you already know that." Florian's hands reached forward to cup the others foot, expertly moving his fingers along the swollen skin, showing off his centuries of medical care in that moment. "I bet it hurts a lot." he told the other, his eyes noting each scar and cut on the others body. "Well, you have several options." he told him and ran a hand through his dark, curly locks as he sat up. "Your ankle is broken, in all three locations so I'm going to have to fix that. So I'm going to have to preform a surgery to fix it." Florian stared at the other for a moment to let the information sink in before he laughed. "Just joking. I can fix it pretty easy, I can reset the bone and heal it that way." He told the other as he moved his chair to grab a syringe from his table.

"After I fix this ankle, do you want me to address the bruises and cuts on your body?" He asked as he set the syringe down on the table next to him and looked at the cuts, those would be an easy fix once Florian cleaned out the wound since some of them looked infected.

Taliesin did not like the infirmary. He'd decided that when he'd first come to Krovs and was being checked out by a very unsympathetic nurse for their files. Maybe Taliesin had snapped at him after an unnecessarily rough blood draw - Taliesin had never been a fan of needles and needed to be coaxed, gently, through that sort of thing - but the way he'd let Taliesin hobble around on his fucked up ankle for a couple of days just to settle the score was, frankly, cruel and usual. Now it seemed like someone had put an end to it, so here he was, lying on the bed, hoping that his Doctor was a little kinder. He could certainly do with a little kindness after "the Hunter incident".

"I don't think it's broken," Taliesin mumbled. He'd unpeeled the bandage to give the Doctor a better look at it, purple, swollen and horrendously painful to put any weight on. Honestly, he'd never broken a bone, so he had no idea what he was talking about. He'd just assumed it was a nasty sprain. "It hurts a lot, though." The rest of his body was still covered in bruises and now-scabbed over cuts. If he looked like he'd been dragged through the undergrowth, it was because he had been. "So... What do you... Do? To make it better?"

Florian had been in his office working when he heard that a new arrival had caused a scene and done some damage. So, the doctor made his way down to the Undercroft to deal with the aftermath of Nikola's arrival. By the time that he arrived, Nikola had already bit another slave in the calf and nearly mauled one of the guards. It was an interesting sight, although it did annoy the kresnik as he enough paperwork on his desk and didn't need anymore.

After the guards managed to subdue Nikola. Florian set up a portable IV to give the other fluids which would aid in his recovery. He planned on resetting his shoulder and arm after the IV drugs did their job but Nikola had other ideas as he ripped the IV out just minutes after Florian had put it in his arm.

So Florian sent the other back down to the Undercroft and told the guards he'd come down a few hours later to check on Nikola. After finishing his incident report, Florian returned to the Undercroft and stood against the wall in his white doctors jacket and smiled. "I can help you. If you'll let me." He tells him. "I'm Doctor Hargreaves." He informs Nikola and takes a step towards him. "You dislocated your shoulder and I couldn't set it. Can I set it now?" He asks politely, standing a safe distance away in the case that Nikola lashed out at him.

In a daze, Nikola's eyes fell on the intravenous line attached to his arm. Without hesitation, he ripped it out, his focus consumed by a haze of disorientation. Blood oozed from the wound, but he paid it no mind. The sterile scent of disinfectant hung in the air, and the harsh fluorescent lights above him stung his eyes. Panic gripped his chest as he frantically looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings. What the fuck were they going to do to him? Every nerve in his right shoulder and forearm screamed. His arm limp in the socket. 'Dislocated?' Had it been his own doing? Or someone else's? Pain overtook him. "Fuck all..." He rasped, darkness seeped over his vision.

The pain, both physical and mental, coursed through him. It served as a cruel reminder of the reality he found himself in. He scanned his own body as he came around, bruises marring his flesh like a macabre canvas. It was then that the pieces started to click together, slowly forming a grim puzzle in his mind.

In his panicked state upon first awakening in this new hell, he had nearly mauled a guard and bit another poor bystander in the calve before being detained and transforming back. He was certain someone had called him a "goddamn german shepard". The details were hazy, blurred by the trauma that still lingered. What was a shepard? He didn't "ard" things. He herded them. The boundaries between the life he had been born into as Havoc the malinois and the human persona he embodied, Nikola the agent, seemed to blur and twist. It was becoming increasingly difficult to discern where the dog ended and the man began.

Nikola surveyed the undercroft, his unsteady posture revealing his disorientation. Thoughts raced through his mind, desperately trying to piece together how he had returned to this depressing and pitiful place. The weight of his deeds bore down on him, causing a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. Questions plagued him—how did he find himself here? Was someone searching for him beyond these walls? Were the nightmares he experienced real? The answers remained elusive, slipping through the fractures in his memory. Details of the altercation that brought him here eluded his recollection, yet the marks on his body served as damning evidence of his actions. Seated on his cot, he contemplated the blurred events of the past 24 or so hours. "Can I help you? Or are you just here to fetch some drama?" His mumbled words carried a muddled accent that he was clearly holding back and a canine-like playfulness that didn't quite meet his eyes, as if he were a skeptical dog sizing up a new acquaintance in the yard.

The kresnik knew those eyes and simply stood still as the councilman glanced over his figure, turning his own gaze to the man. “Settling in well enough. I restocked the medical supplies and unpacked all my things. It’s slowly starting to feel like home. I was in the process of reading over the medical files of the inhabitants when I received your summons.” Florian narrowed his eyes slightly when he was referred to as Mr. Hargreaves instead of doctor but florian wasn’t about to correct Raphael so he brushed it off. “My office is bigger than the tent I was working out of which is a positive, though I have to get use to being surrounded by bloodsuckers.” Florian was trained to be a killer, to turn the tide of the war against the vampires and here he was working in one of their sex castles, his father would be ashamed. “Don’t like the weather though, which I’m sure you agree with. Italy is much nicer.”

"I did," Raphael replied as he closed the door behind Florian and turned to face him. His dark eyes glanced over the pretty kresnik, wondering if he'd made the right choice in calling Florian Hargreaves to the castle to replace their former shit show of a head doctor in this dramatic time. Full No offense to Caspian, the prideful ghoul wasn't much a fan of his opposing virtue and thought that a more diligent personality might fit in leading the medical team with attacks happening left and right in the castle. Florian might be the species bred to hunt his kind but Raphael trusted he wouldn't be so stupid these days, especially given the consequences if he were to try anything. "I wanted to see how you were settling into the castle. Is everything to your liking so far, Mr. Hargreaves?"

"Ah, so you do possess some intelligence," Raphael bemused, smiling sweetly at Florian despite his condescension. Of course he'd checked out Florian's alibi for such things –– he wouldn't have insisted on the kresnik coming to the castle for a job position if he'd any inclination the younger was behind or even remotely involved with these killings and attacks. He hardly winced at the slap though he raised a brow at Florian, shocked he would even dare. Fortunately, Raph considered that to be foreplay. "You're getting too bold, Hargreaves. You should be careful about hitting a councilman around here," he warned politely. "Why is it that you're so curious now about discovering who's behind this?"

Florian simply snorted and raised an eyebrow, if Raphael was trying to scare him, he’d have to try harder then that. “You can check my alibi, though I’m confident that you already have.” His eyes locked onto the councilman. “I would never threaten a councilman.” Florian says faking being offended before playfully slapping Raphael’s cheek. “Plus, I put the vampire killing down ages ago. I want to know who’s doing this as much as you do.”

"I appreciate that, Mr. Hargreaves," Raphael replied, smiling warmly at the kresnik. That was the correct answer from Florian, no matter how he felt about Raph and other vampires. "Fortunately you won't be seeing me in here. It'll take a lot more than some silly hunter or assassin with a stake to get me." The pride demon was never one to shy away from exuding his arrogance. Now if only the rest of the council could shape up and avoid getting hit and causing further embarrassments.

"I try my next." Florian replied and tilted his head to the side as he examined the Italian before speaking. "it would be a shame, De Luca. I'd hate for you to get taken out." The kresnik replied with a smile that did not reach his eyes, Florian had no love for the vampires, he would never love the vampires given all that he had gone through in his life but he had learned to live with them, as long as he was useful then he wouldn't end up dead or as a slave. "I have to agree, the council is becoming smaller and smaller every day." Florian hummed. "Luckily I've dealt with a few stake wounds in my time so I think you'll live."

Once the Kresnik finished setting up his office and heading down to town to retrieve all the necessary supplies to run a half-way decent doctors office. He received a summons from the man that had forced his decision to come to the slave castle and take up the vacant position. Since the doctor was new to his position, he didn’t know his way around the castle, so he was forced to request one of the guards take him to Raphael’s suite. Several times during the walk from his office he had the guard tell him to keep moving and that you shouldn’t keep a councilman waiting.

Once they arrived at the door to Ralph’s suite, Florian watched as the guard knocked and when he heard the go ahead, pushed the Kresnik inside before closing it behind him. Once inside, Florian looked around and noted that the suite was nothing like the councilman’s residence back in Italy. Running his fingers along the surface of one of the tables before looking at the Italian. “You requested me?”
