1. How did you get here?

I’ve been following @bamsara for a while now for his Invader Zim art and fic (I cycle through hyperfixations and Zim has been one of them since middle school) and saw some of their art on Sun and Moon. I thought they looked like interesting characters. Then I learned they were from FNAF and I went to my sister who has played some of the games with her friend and asked her about the series. Honestly, I hadn’t really been into the games before this because I never had a taste for horror games in the past. Just hadn’t been my cup of tea. I still need to take breaks when playing the games because they take a mental toll haha. After playing the first game almost all the way through (still haven’t completed 20/20/20/20) I looked more into the series, as I often do with hyperfixations, so I could know everything about it. So yeah, basically I blame Bam and my sister for this.

7. What's your favorite au?

Hmm… I’m not sure. There are so many good ones out there! @bones-of-a-rabbit comes up with some amazing aus like their Afton au and Flipparoo au I recommend checking out. Celestial Omens is another one I really like (merfolk have always been a favorite creature of mine). I’ve created my own fantasy au I’m working on as well.

12. Thoughts on eclipse?

I love love LOVE the idea of eclipse! He is a character that has so much potential! I love how everyone has a different take on him in general as well. In my fic, Eclipse is going to show up at a rather tense moment of Sun trying to protect reader from virus!Moon. I write him as glitchy because both Sun and Moon are fighting for control. I might use him for fluffy moments too in the flashbacks, but I’m not sure yet.

Flipparoo Eclipse is either smooth or the biggest fluffiest dummy on the planet. No inbetween. Probably sits on the floor in front of u and holds his arms out and gives puppy dog eyes when he’s feeling cute

Flipparoo Sun n Moon are top tier Clingy Bois and once they have u ur gonna need a crowbar to get em off

“Had a pretty cursed idea for the flipparoo au earlier

Okay so the idea is basically. Sun and Moon are used to fighting for every scrap of individual possessions they can get. They were basically stuck in a closet for years and the desire to have something of ‘their own’ activated the Cain Instinct every time one of them found something even minutely interesting

They got real tired of ‘sharing’ everything real fast and they Never Recovered

So when Reader first gets them each something of their own, like maybe Sun gets wrist ribbons and Moon gets slippers?, the first thing they do is A, try to viciously defend their given item and B, viciously attempt to snatch/look at what the other got

And reader is like HEY, HEY HEY! NO! STOP THAT! like a dog owner who just gave their dogs two separate bones that they’re already fighting over

And Reader is like “hey, calm down! I didn’t give these to you so you could bicker over them. These ribbons are for YOU, Sun, and those slippers are for YOU, Moon. You don’t fight over them. One is yours, and the other isn’t. And that’s okay”

And the two are like 👁👄👁

And reader is beginning to wonder if they can even understand the concept and they go “see, when something is Just Yours, you can say ‘it’s mine!’ And you don’t have to give it to anyone unless you want to! But when something is supposed to be shared, like,, these pillows, that’s ‘ours!’ And then you get to share them, but never FIGHT over them. Okay?? Those are YOURS, these are OURS”

And when Sun and Moon finally get functioning voice boxes the first thing they say is “ours, ours, ours” as they hug Reader so hard they can barely breathe lol

But also one of the first things they do is repeatedly say “not yours” to Eclipse as angrily as they can

Anyway Sun and Moon are Extremely Possessive in this au

To the point of physically dragging Reader away from Eclipse even when Reader WANTS to be with Eclipse

And the bad part abt them being robots designed to handle struggling children/people is that they are Surprisingly Strong and there is very little Reader can do to get them to stop for a second bc at a certain point they just Stop Listening to them shdhdjjdh

Reader lightly swats Sun on the shoulder one(1) time and the look of utter hurt and betrayal he gives is enough to make them Never want to do it again

So anyway Sun and Moon are a bit unhinged in this AU and reader is in over their head, more at 6”

A flipparoo au where it’s the same idea as the Eclipse Moves In AU but Sun and Moon are the neglected bots with an inferiority complex attempting to steal Reader from Eclipse

I think in this au Solar is actually pretty well rounded and sensible! He’s clingy, yes, and he often gets lonely and longs to be around people constantly, but he KNOWS that and knows that it can be overbearing, so he always tries to be (relatively) communicative about it. That being said, he is reluctant to reach out when feeling especially down, and tends to forget himself when in an especially good mood (aka youre getting picked up and swung around at least three times in a day if he’s feeling especially happy)
