i still find the “omg such a coincidence me and dan both got the same pepper pastry 10 years apart!!” thing so endearing bc im not some super well travelled fancy person but even I have heard of the famous swedish cardamom pastries and first of all the fact that dan mr. flavourtown didn’t distinguish pepper from cardamom is kinda funny to me but also as others have pointed out the cafe they both went to is like a chain there’s apparently one on every corner of high streets or something like that and it is the pastry they are most known for and i feel like dan might’ve known that but he still smiled and laughed and let phil talk about his coincidences bc he was just so tickled by the fact that they both got it when they were apart

he's not really that picky, but if he had to choose, his favourite would probably be, like, ham sandwiches or something really basic like that. and they probably serve those tiny little sandwiches like that on the train so it's familiar to him. he's really letting down guy fieri. he is far away from flavourtown
