Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy of Flanagan Film, I hope you, artist Michael Whelan and Stephen King don't think that I've forgotten about all of this. That painting, Deschain, was created right at the beginning of the sham. And the thing about Dark Tower, which no matter how it's adapted, it's never been very successful, is that it has a very similar theme to The Power of The Dog; "...a gunslinger in a world which has moved on" is quite similar to a cowboy, whose time has moved on. Benedict Cumberbatch, and his likeness has been fraudulently used by King and his cohorts, to try and boost this series. Interesting synopsis of a man alone, who lost his friends and headed towards "...the end of the line". Sounds too, too fucking familiar.

I know they are not going to do another season of The Midnight Club but I just saw it and I was left with several questions. The same and there are no answers but I needed to share them hahaha maybe in the book if everything is resolved😅

*Why did Ilonka meet that guy Kevin at that party in the first episode but it seems like it never happened?

* Why can only Ilonka and Kevin see the oldies? By the end we know that they are the ones who made the house but why specifically only they can see them?

* Ilonka had visions about the hospice before going there, was it her destiny to get to that place?

*Also the fact that the name of Ilonka comes from the Greek, does its origin have to do with the Brightcliffe house? Why is nothing said about his real parents?

I bought tickets to meet you Mr Flanagan… 😩 at MegaCon. When I went to get in line I was told you cancelled! ☹️ I was most excited to meet you…

But honestly, I totally understand! Maybe there will be another time!

I was about to complain about how this new Carrie mini-series is yet another remake we don't need until I read MIKE FLANAGAN and yes, we do need it.

hunger games rant bc its so good

thinking about how mags was the last tribute we met to really understand how far the games had come in the 75 years they had been put on. she won her games the year after lucy gray baird. she had watched the games from their inception up to the arena being completely destroyed. the very next year, she was being dragged into an entirely new atmosphere- she had watched her friends go and be starved and publicly humiliated before getting thrown into a room. suddenly, when she goes, she is given a completely different treatment. She gets actual training, she gets an interview to market herself to sponsors, she gets the victory tour and the lavish wealth of being a victor. she saw the public perception of the games shift after the 10th games, only for snow to completely manipulate the public by turning them from a brutalistic display into this almost theatrical pageantry of violence. she watched as the games developed more and more from there- she saw the pageantry build and build and build as the districts grew poorer and poorer.

but she also witnessed the first victor from twelve, as well as the last victors from twelve. she saw the same firey spirit in katniss that she saw in lucy gray baird- just like snow did. only to her it was a glimmer of hope. a glimpse into what could be when someone successfully stands up to the capitol.

but then, a year after twelve’s second female victor won in a defiant display of pageantry- just as its first female victor did- mags was being dragged back into the games. just like the first time she, watched as the games were taken to a whole new level- as they were once again turned into a statement.

she died in the arena before she could witness the full-circle moment of the image of the arena falling around the rebellious victor from district twelve for a second time, but oh my god are the parallels not cool as fuck
