Ages of Ruin, Echoes from the Past, 8

Before she disappeared into the brush she shouted a quick “Follow me.” over her shoulder. And Dune and the rest ran after her fast. A bit into the forest they reached a trail and Lilly stopped, she looked around on high alert and Dune knew she tried to pinpoint the location of the energy she had felt. So Dune focused herself to see if she could feel anything, but the forest seemed empty.

Shooting Star however was different. He hovered up to Lilly and said, “I think I feel the same energy as you have. Their close.” Lilly nodded and looked around, “But they seem to be moving and fast I can barely locate them.” Suddenly Flakes ears perked up and he looked into the trees, “I think something is coming our way.” he whispered. Dune followed his gaze and saw something move between the trunks.

The rest of the Group followed their example and the next moment a Mew came crashing through the foliage. It looked a bit strange for a Mew, but from the pictures that Dune had seen in one of Kuros books it could be no other Pokemon. The Mew stopped when it saw them and then looked at Star and Lilly specifically. “So I wasn’t imagining things.” it said.

The Mew and Star stared each other down for a while, then without warning the Mew swung around and fired an Aura Sphere at a Hollow that was just emerging out of the trees. “I would love to talk,” the Mew scoffed, “but as you can see I quite busy right now. So if you want to help a brother out that would be greatly appreciated.”

At this moment a second Hollow appeared and the Mew fired a thunderbolt at them. Star joined them in the air and gazed into the woods. “How many are after you?” Lilly asked from the ground. The Mew looked down, “It’s a smaller group,” they replied, “There were eight I think, but I already took out four, soo….” Dune was stunned, “Four” she yelled, “We had trouble facing that many as a group.”

The Mew looked at her arrogantly, “Well that doesn’t surprise me much,” it replied while blocking another attack of the Hollow. Star then took it out with a Meteor Mash. The Mew continued, “You look to be around late 50 maybe early 60 in Level. I’m Level 100 and I always separate them and then take them out one by one.” they explained, “Also these are just lesser, I would not be trying that with highs.”

Now Dune was confused, “Lesser, Highs?” she asked. The Mew nodded, “Yea some Hollows are stronger then others. It has something to do with their age I think, …” they explained. But they were interrupted by the next hollow jumping out at them. This time Lilly intercepted them with a protect and then the Mew fired another Aura sphere. “Pests.” it mumbled.

Lilly explained in its stead, “You can differentiate them by the ability to ‘speak’.” she stated, “Lessers can’t ‘talk’.” Dune paused, as the explanation sank in. “Wait, but that would mean the Hollows that attacked us by the ravine were all higher.” she exclaimed. Lilly simply nodded. The Mew now looked impressed, “You ran into a group of highs and you lived. Impressive”

Shooting Star replied, “Yeah, there were five of them. We managed to take one down and weaken the others before they overpowered us. Luckily Lilly arrived after that and took down the rest.” The Mew looked at Dune and the rest. “I would like to take back what I said earlier, struggling against a high is nothing to be ashamed of. That fact that you survived at all proves that you’re stronger than you look.” he said. To Dune it almost sounded like a compliment.

“You were especially impressive,” he said to Lilly, “taking out the remaining three even if they were weakened.” Dune saw that Lilly smiled, but she corrected the Mew nonetheless, “I didn’t actually do much. Flake over there took out the first one and I managed to catch the second of guard. After that it was a simple 1v1 and I was at full power, while my enemy was weakened.”

The Mew looked surprised again, “That Eevee took out a …, you know what never mind, we can talk about that later.” They looked around, “Now where is the rest of them?” The group looked around, but the trees were silent. Dune wondered if the other Hollows had fled to get reinforcements, if they even did that, but her thoughts were interrupted.

Another hollow burst trough the underbrush. This one was a large Ursaring and they had come from the other direction as the previous attackers. As a result it had caught the Mew of guard and while it was still turning the Hollow prepared to attack Kiara who was standing closest to it. But before the Hollow could lower its paw it was hit by five Icicles that came raining from the sky and pinned it against a tree.

Shortly after it was hit by the thunderbolt the Mew had charged, closely followed by Stars Meteor Mash and the Hollow dissolved into black smoke. “Close call.” the Mew murmured, as a second Mew came down from the sky. This one at least had the same color as the ones from the books, Dune noticed, but it was missing the long Tail instead having a short tuft of fur.

The first Mew looked up, “Yukio. I thought I told you to wait for me at the Rift.” it said to the second Mew. But Yukio shot back, “How about a thank you for saving my but instead, huh Dos?”

The Precure System's Follower PokéChallenge

This is Hanadera Nodoka, PokéMMO edition:

PokéMMO Hanadera Nodoka, who will from now on be abbreviated as PHN, has just moved to the Johto region and found herself with a rulebook of how to live life and complete challenges there. She's been left a different set of rules for different game segments, and this will detail how that goes.

This challenge involves friends giving me specific rulesets to make the game harder, so I asked some friends and some followers to help me out - some of these segments are left blank, so if you want to throw your hat into the ring and take up a section, let me know what section you want and what rules you have for me.

From Johto Arrival Until Beating Falkner - By Yami Bakura of @cosmosiscollective

I was tasked by Yami Bakura to Fight Falkner without utilizing the flying type's natural weakness, and that I wasn't allowed to catch Pokémon that could do that kind of supereffective damage until I beat Falkner. To stick with the spirit, but make the challenge a little harder, I interpreted this to work in a slightly more challenging way. The rules of this segment are now as follows:

I am not allowed to catch any Pokémon of types that would be supereffective against the Flying type (Rock, Electric, Ice, etc.)

I am not allowed to catch any Pokémon of types that would RESIST the Flying type, even if their other typing would be weak to it (So no flying types, even if the other type is grass or bug - Hoppip and Butterfree are BANNED)

Pokémon I catch MUST be of types that are weak to the Flying type (Fighting, Bug, Grass)

I am not allowed to use moves that would be supereffective to the Flying type, but neutral and not very effective moves are permitted.

From post-Falkner to Bugsy - By @shimotachi

I was tasked by Frosted Flakes to use Bellsprout on my team, though I'm allowed to keep Pokémon from the previous segment. While I can keep those Pokémon from the previous segment on my team, it is MANDATORY I use Bellsprout until beating Bugsy. I have to use Bellsprout to beat Bugsy, and if Bellsprout faints, I need to restart the Bugsy fight. I've changed the rules here slightly too, to make it more interesting. They are now as follows:

I must use Bellsprout on my team for this section. No boxing him.

While the Pokémon from the previous segment are permitted to be on my team, they CANNOT be used in the Bugsy fight itself. Bellsprout has to Solo the gym.

If Bellsprout faints at ANY point during this segment, I must also go back and catch a new Bellsprout to use, to honor the Bellsprout Tower monks.

I must nickname the Bellsprout

I was tasked by Lue to a VERY difficult ruleset for this segment... One full of milk, udders, and breeding.

I must obtain a Miltank. I may use however I wish, but I am not allowed to remove said Miltank from my party until I have beaten Morty.

The ONLY manner in which I am allowed to heal a Pokémon's HP is MooMoo Milk. If I wish to heal their PP at a Pokémon Center, their HP MUST be full first.

Outside of Trainer Battles, the ONLY area I am allowed to Level Grind at is the Pokéathlon Dome

I MUST obtain a Payday Meowth and bring it to Morty's Gym. This WILL require breeding, as the Meowth in PokéMMO's Johto are too high level to know this move.

Unless the previous segments have made obtaining Bill's Eevee legitimately impossible, I MUST bring a Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon to Morty's gym.

You may be wondering why PHN is dressed in all black rather than my signature color of pink. That's Sinister's doing, given this rule segment. For this segment, I have to dress up as a Team Rocket member, and roleplay Team Rocket. There's a lot of things this could mean, but I'm going to be interpreting it as being a Team Rocket Grunt for this segment, and turn it into a ruleset properly. The rules are as follows:

I must be dressed as a Team Rocket Grunt at ALL TIMES until beating the Champion

I must ONLY use Pokémon that Team Rocket grunts can be found using in Heartgold Soulsilver (These are the Drowzee line, Zubat line, Rattata line, Oddish line, Grimer line, Ekans line, Koffing line, and Venonat line)*

*UNLESS that Pokémon's Trainer ID is not mine - These will count as Stolen Rocket Pokémon, opening up encounters with the Spearow in Ilex Forest and the Shuckle in Cianwood City

Most grunts aren't too friendly to their Pokémon, Jesse and James being an exception, so Anything I Catch Myself must have a Friendship Value of LESS than 150 to be useable. This can be determined at the friendship checker.

As you can see, followers! This run will be difficult for us!

We like that it's going to be difficult for us! It's fun seeing everyone's ideas for different segments! I'm currently in progress of segment one, the Falkner Struggle, and excited to post about it when I'm done!

The storm had come. Smoothie had managed to slip out during the preparations, only noticed after the wind and snow had picked up. Thunder roared throughout the swirling of the blizzard coming down the mountain passes, yet the small beast was not scared. No, instead he faced the oncoming assault with an unknown bravery.

Meanwhile, Morwen was frantically trying to find him in the boarded up house, even checking uncommon hiding places from under the beds to the highest rafters- a place he had taken residence with his father Paunch meany times. Panic set in as she looked to the warded door, starting to fear for his safety as she went to fetch her coats and stave to brave the howling storms (and whatever else may be in the weather).

Smoothie on the other hand trudged through wind with a determined grip into the ice, staring into an oncoming charge of lightning before-

The wind is bitter. It is filled with screaming of Things That Should Not Be Yet Are. It bites deep, even under layers of fat treated bear hides and warmth enchanted wool. The sparks in the air do not help, causing hair even tucked firmly under the hides to stand on edge as heavy foot falls are made through the driving blizzard. Had it not been for Roxy, her goggles wouldn't even be able to withstand the sheer or the near fist sized sparkling flakes of electrified ice that blasted with the passing of Howlers and Windrunners. Had it not been her wards against such abominations, surely she would have been dragged and thrown into the raging maelstrom higher up by not. Even with a sudden flash of lightning slamming into the ground ahead. Ground where moments ago-

Light. That's what his small body was enveloped in. Instead of being obliterated by a bolt, he instead absorbed it and the raging snow that had frozen fur stiff by now. INstead of perishing, the small creature grew sleeker, taller- once white fur turned into an auroral pastel purple with streaks of dark cerulean and crimson; the once fluffy tail erupted with a thunder crack into a jagged whip of ruby lightning as the streamers of freezing azure ripped along side it; the fluffy neck ruff dissolved into glands which erupted purple ice crackling with the storm's hatred- a single cry to be left out as Morwen shielded herself from the blasting radius of the wicked bolts under an arcane shell.

Where once stood an eevee was a different creature, nearly as tall his parents. Where once stood the small Smoothie- a beast known for his thick fruit smelling fur now stood something stronger, something greater. Now stood a Polareon, sending daggers of electrical ice at a Howler that had approached Morwen with a cry.

On this day, they would battle their way back to the safety of her warded home, only to be greeted by worried parents and partner.

So, I only really know the ones from Gen 1, and some from Gen 2 . . . . But I think he would be infatuated with Eevee. The fact that Eevee is so diverse in its evolutions would excite him. It doesn't help that they're so wicked cute. He probably wouldn't be taken seriously because he's so excitable and doesn't seem serious, but he's taken his time in training and loving on his Eeveelutions, so he shouldn't be underestimated.

📚 Your OC has to improvise a 10 minute lecture about a topic of their choosing. What do they chose?

The Use of Magical Trinkets. It wouldn't have a point. He would just bring up things he's found over the years of magical trinkets that really don't have a useful purpose, or can be replaced by a nonmagical trinket, and just gives his theories of why it was created, and why it's necessary to have them around. It wouldn't be so much of a lecture than a show and tell of his collection.

🎒 If your OC had to pick three things of all their belongings to keep, which would they chose?

You must really hate Cor to choose this question.

Ultimately, he would choose the three most sentimental things of his collection: From Niara, his mother: A hair ornament that used to belong to her. When he was little, he wanted to do things that his mother did, like putting things in his hair. He grew out of it, but still appreciated the designs, colors, and craftsmanship that went into the hair ornaments. She gave him one that he was particularly attached to when he was a child, with flowers made of amethyst and wrapped in gold flakes. It was a family heirloom of hers, but she had no daughters to pass it on to- however, Cor was the son most interested.

From Selim: A shard of "dragon egg." Selim won it in a game of cards during a time when he disappeared from the castle for a couple of weeks, expecting payment in the form of money but received that instead. It's possible it's just a broken geode containing minerals with high concentrations of magic, but as Harlofelp does not have research on dragons, it can't be refuted. Useless to Selim no matter how pretty it was, he passed it on to Cor, knowing that Cor would be thrilled with it. Though Selim jokes it's proof that he could give Cor any piece of trash and he would keep it, to Cor, it was proof that Selim cared about his family even at his worst.

From Arvek: Enchanted ink in glass bottle in the form of a sea dragon, with the enchantment causing the ink to go up and down like a lava lamp (enchantments usually die with the caster, so enchanted ink usually impact visual effects and not something that would prevent the use of the ink being damaged by the lack of enchantment). Arvek being practical and having a hard time understanding Cor's fascination with "useless" or trivial objects, it was a gift that Arvek could feel comfortable getting and know that Cor would enjoy it. Arvek had purchased it during a trip to the city on the sea, Soleviss, and had to miss an important date to Cor, so this was to make up for that. While Arvek intended for Cor to use it, Cor is certainly going to wait until the enchantment dies first, possibly subconsciously seeing the gift as representation of the middle ground he and Arvek found.

Marcy giggled, spinning and spinning and spinning until she was so dizzy she could hardly stand up straight.

She doubled over in laughter, her cheeks aching from smiling so hard. Sasha and Anne both beamed at her, their eyes sparkling with joy.

“I’m so glad you girls agreed to come to this with me,” Marcy sighed, letting Anne take her hands, the taller girl pulling her forward and twirling her under her fingers. “I was so scared to tell you two how I felt.”

“Of course, Marshmallow,” Sasha chuckled, taking Marcy from Anne and kissing her cheek. “And you don’t need to worry about telling us anything, okay? We love you just the way you are.”

“I love you, too,” Marcy hummed, sinking against her. She swayed against her side, happily letting her eyes flutter shut as she buzzed with warmth.

Marcy still couldn’t believe she had somehow found the courage to tell her friends – her girlfriends – how much she loved them.

And that they loved her, too.

And that they were at prom.

Wow. There were a lot of unbelievable things going on right now.

“I love you, Marmar,” Anne whispered, her breath hot on Marcy’s skin.

And so the three danced, all smiles and laughs and blushes, hand in hand in hand. It was a bit awkward, with most dances being meant for two people, not three – not to mention the extra difficulty coming from Marcy constantly tripping over her own feet – but they made it work.

They’d always make things work.

Marcy sleepily blinked open her eyes, staring down a dark, endless hallway that seemed to fade away into nothingness.

“Don’t worry about that,” Anne murmured, gently cupping Marcy’s cheek in a soft hand, guiding her attention back to her girls. “Just focus on us, okay?”

“Okay,” Marcy purred, snuggling closer to her girls.

Sasha and Anne seemed to quietly fade away under Marcy’s touch, slowly flaking away and turning to dust.

They were slipping away like a dream shortly after waking up.

Marcy paused.

… who was slipping away again?

She opened her eyes, finding herself in utter darkness.

Whoever "she" was, anyway.

After Kiara had woken, the group broke camp quickly and got back on the road. After all, the ambush of the hollows had interrupted their search for the last Human. Though now Lilly lead the way instead of Kuro. He and Dune were following close behind though, while Shooting Star hovered behind them filling Kiara in on the stuff she had missed.

Dune looked at her Mom from behind. It was strange seeing her in this new body, after all she’d been a Leafeon her entire life, but she was way more grateful to have her back. Kuro was talking with her. “So this Zero send you to search for the last Human as well?” he asked Lilly, and she nodded, “And then once you found them you were supposed to find us?” Again Lilly nodded.

“That’s the gist of it.” she confirmed. Kuro scanned her intensely, “So you found them already?” he asked. Dune paused and thought that Kuro was right. If she had come find them that must mean she found the Last Human already. Right? But Lilly shook her head, “I have good intel of where they might be, but I haven’t looked into that yet.” she clarified.

Kuro tilted his head, his eyes narrowed, “Why not?” he asked, “That was your job after all.” Lilly nodded, “Yes, it was. But when I came back to this dimension to start my search, I noticed that your group was more or less on the way from my most promising search location.” she began to explain, “So now I had the choice. “Or I could take a slight detour to pick you up and take you along on my search, even if I might not find the human at the specified location.” Lilly laid out her reasons. “And good thing I decided on getting you first, or there might not have anybody left to get later.” she added. Dune could her she was clearly annoyed at Kuros harsh questions and she wondered why he seemed so hostile.

At Lilly’s last remark Kuro shifted his head away and looked down. Dune could tell he was embarrassed and for good reason. If Lilly hadn’t shown up when she did, the hollows would have likely killed them all. “Why do you seem so hostile in the first place?” Dune wanted to know, he seemed so out of character. Kuro gave her a bittersweet smile, “Probably because this still seems to good to be true.” he said.

“The Lilly I knew my entire Life was a gentle and hard working Leafeon who always put her duties for the clan and her family first.” he elaborated further, “It just seemed so out of character for her to come look for us first, instead of fulfilling her duty.” At this Lilly gave a slight chuckle. “I was like that wasn’t I?” she reaffirmed, “But Kuro, time changes you. We’ve all been through a lot since that time”

She smiled at Dune and said softly, “The Dune I knew from the clan was an outgoing and impulsive little girl. Always searching for adventures.” Dune though back, yeah that sounded like her. “The Dune from back then never looked back on her mistakes,” Lilly continued, “and yet her experiences of the last years made her question if bringing her very own son into this world was a good Idea.”

Now Lilly looked at Kuro and Dune saw that warm smile she had given them so many times in the past. “The Dune from back then would have never done such a thing. But that’s how life goes, it changes you.” she said and Kuro nodded slightly. And Lilly doubled down, “Yet she is still Dune, isn’t she? At least she still has her old bravery, I noticed that when she stepped in between me and that hollow even though she was in way worse shape than I was.”

Dune blushed slightly and Kuro snickered, “You’re right. And she also takes compliments about as well as back then.” he necked her. Dune saw Lilly smirk, “Well and you are still just as head over heels for her.” she necked him, “Some things just never change, right Ro?” Dune flinched when her mom used her old nickname for Kuro and he blushed and fell back to hide behind Dune.

Lilly laughed out loud and yelled, “I always knew you two would end up together, you were so cute as children.” Then she lowered her voice and turned to face Dune and Kuro. Dune saw the emotions in her eyes. “In all seriousness though. Please take good care of my daughter Kuro, she is my pride and joy.” Kuro looked back and nodded, “I’ll do my best, even though I already failed once.” he replied.

Dune stepped up, “I think you did a splendid job so far. In the end I’m still here right?” she reassured him. He teared up, “Was that really my doing though?” he asked back. “It was,” Dune affirmed, “You carried me to that sacred tomb after all.” Lilly nodded in agreement and Kuro said sorrowful, “Well I just wish I had been a bit faster.”

“Me too.” Lilly added, then she stopped and looked around. Her eyes darted rapidly between the trees and rocks. “This energy, … feels familiar.” she said, then she ran into the underbrush.

[AD-Gifted] a beautiful new collecton is coming from @dystopianailpolish who collaborated with @nailastrophic to come up with a collection inspired by the evolutions of Eevee. The third reveal is The Electric Evolution- inspired by the electric type Jolteon. This super sparkly holo topper is accented by holo flakes and comes with a separate bag of gold holo lightning bolts (there will be an option to buy without the lightning bolts too). This is perfect in 1 coat over another polish in my opinion but it can be built up for full coverage or can be used on a naked nail to just give a bit of sparkle. Photos show 2 coats topped with Seche Vite and then in the last few photos with Barry M Matte topcoat and then I used one coat of Seche Vite when I added the holo lightning bolts. So I read this super nice fanfiction in wich Green’s a contest-something guy, ans he meets Red at Slateport in a bakery. It’s a really nice well-written fanfic, sweet without being cheesy and very fun. It involves Eevee-shaped cookies and venusaur frosting cakes. It’s short, go read it -> Cakes, Flakes, Underbaked

Frosta’s Glaceon was her first Pokemon. Frosta and a small Eevee were playing around together when they found a Regice. It was hanging out near the Fractal Flake, the runestone of the Kingdom of Snows. Regice actually is the guardian of the runestone and, when Eevee stepped into the room, she evolved into Glaceon.

While typical Castform can change with the weather, Frosta’s has been in the cold region for so long that it’s become a permanent Snowy Form Castform. Castform blew in from Salineas and lost its buoyancy in a storm. Frosta and her Glaceon found it and nursed it back to health. It then stayed in the Kingdom of Snows.

Snom and Vulpix are two young Pokemon that hang around the castle and hang out with Frosta as she grows up. Glaceon is like a mother to both them and she’s also making sure Frosta doesn’t hurt herself, even though she’s more than capable of taking care of herself.

Snover is Frosta’s newest Pokemon. Snovers tend to group together with their evolved form, Abomasnow, near the border her kingdom shares with Plumeria. However, this particular Snover wandered into the hotter climate of Plumeria. Perfuma found it and called Frosta, who helped chill it back to its normal temperature. Now that Snover follows Frosta around and likes to visit Perfuma on diplomatic missions.

It's time these two found some help, why not surprise them a bit?

Chapter 2

The two had been walking for weeks, avoiding trainers and other pokemon. Exhaustion clawed at their muscles, but neither could get much rest as they journeyed on.

 

Currently the two lay resting under a great Oak tree, its branches lazily swayed as a frost bitten breeze ran through the leaf baren Winter forest. Pecha glanced at his friend as Sleep slept- ha, the coincidence. Even with Pecha blocking the chill wind though, he would be waking any moment.

 

The Eevee glanced out at the frostbitten grass, only weeks ago fresh green and swaying in the warm autumn wind, bristle under a cloud covered sky as dusk neared. No matter the chill, it was still beautiful, only hearing about Winter from long staying Eevees.

 

Pecha looked at his friend again as Sleep started to shift, slowly raising his head. Pecha giggled, setting a small lick on the other's head.

 

"C'mon, we should get moving" the Eevees shook out their pelts as they stood, side by side as they continued their journey. Something crisp nipped their noses, a cold scent they had never smelled before.

 

It only took moments after that for something white to start drifting down upon them, Pecha sticking his tongue out curiously, only to jump when one landed.

 

"Those are cold!" He exclaimed, blinking at the frosty flakes.

 

"It must be snow" Sleep thought aloud, lifting a paw to poke as the slow falling dots "I've only ever heard of it of course. Come on, it doesn't seem to be coming down that heavy, let's keep going."

 

Pecha looked back at the storm covered sky, nodding "they don't look too bad, it probably won't get to heavy anyways."

It got heavier.

 

Pecha pressed against Sleep's fur, wind blowing snow into his face. White blanketed the forest floor by a couple of inches already, the snow storm going full force on the pair as they stumbled through the new experience.

 

Step by step the two shivered against each other, every bush covered heavily in white and no burrow entrances lay beneath tree roots. They were trapped.

 

"D-do you s-s-see anyth-thing?" Sleep stutter, looking up at the night snow storm's clouds. Pecha just shook his head in response, burying his nose in his partner's fur.

 

Sleep suddenly stopped, fur bristling. Pecha looked up, fear filling his freezing body as a small figure approached. It looked similar sized to both of the eevees, but even with the two to one advantage, realizations flashed through both minds.

Neither of them had ever battled before.

 

Sleep still stood strong "who's t-there!" He barked confidently, ignoring the stutter.

 

The figure paused as though surprised, before suddenly hopping closer, right into view. Pecha and Sleep gaped.

 

It was another Eevee, but it's fur shone a light silvery gray, similar colored eyes squinting through the snow. It was a shiny Eevee, something they had only ever seen once and only for a short moment before Manti shut it into the house.

 

"Oh!" A chipper happy voice exclaimed, "what are you doing out here? I knew I saw something, but my friend didn't believe it. Come on, you need to get out of this before you freeze!" Pecha and Sleep exchanging a look.

 

"Y-your not bring-righing us to a trainer, right?" Pecha questioned, yet the silver Eevee only shook his head sadly.

 

"No, trainers are always trying to catch us for our fur alone. Really we can only trust each other. But if it's this bad outside I don't want to leave you two outside, that's just wrong" he smiled, turning away and flicking his tail for the two to follow.

 

And, after a moment of looking at each other, considering the options, Sleep and Pecha followed.

 

 

They stood before a great tree, it's massive trunk reaching to the cloud heavy sky. The snow still came down roughly, all three Eevee's coats bright white. Their mysterious cheerful lead shook out his fur before climbing up to a hole in the rough bark, slipping in. After a muffled exchange, the silver Eevee popped his head out again, beckoning below the the snow ridden Eevees to join.

 

The two shook out their pelts before leaping up, claws sinking into bark as they scrambled up. Pants escaped as they entered, exhausted and freezing cold. They looked up, hoping to thank their two hosts, only to go wide eyed once more.

 

Their savor was sitting next to another shiny Eevee.

 

The strange thing was though, this shiny had dark silver fur and eyes, not the common light silver.

 

Manti would have a fit knowing these two existed, especially knowing they will never have them.

 

"T-thank you for letting us stay the night" Pecha mumbled, sitting up from him ungraceful landing, Sleep sitting up behind "this is our first Winter, we only ever heard stories.."

 

Dark silver narrowed his eyes curiously "from the looks of it, you've never been exposed to the outdoors" Light poked him, resulting in Dark jumping in surprise.

 

"What he means to say, is it looks like you having some trouble. Did your trainer abandon you?" Pecha and Sleep looked at each other. They were these Eevee's guest, they may as well tell the full story.

 

"Well" Sleep started "it actually all started with me hatching.."

 

 

"So we've been travelling, looking for our friend" Sleep finished, pawing at the ground. The two Eevees looked shocked.

 

"There are farms just for breeding shinies?" Dark looked horrified, Light just shifted his paws in horror.

 

"Yes" Pecha confirmed, letting out a yawn "like we said, we've only ever seen one shiny Eevee before, so seeing both of you was a shock" the cave-like hole had piles of long grass laid across the floor, Sleep and Pecha curled together as the shinies mirrored. The two had always thought negative of Manti's actions, but they couldn't change it. They hoped their paths and Manti's never crossed again.

 

"Huh.." Light flicked his tail "so, you have nicknames, Pecha and Sleep, right?" Sleep nodded.

 

"Ya, when you live around so many Eevee's, it's just easier. Do you?" Dark shook his head "nicknames are a connection to trainers."

 

Things trailed off after that, with the dark sky starting to brighten outside. The snowy barely calmed throughout their story, so sleep was the only option.

 

Pecha curled around his partner, who started softly snoring only moments later. Nuzzling into the others pelt gave some comfort, nostalgia of the three curled next to their Pecha bush in a nest of bracken, leafs, and soft grass.

 

A tear rolled down his cheek, merging into the soft brown fur. They would find their Star, no matter what.

 

Someday.

"Thank you for everything" Pecha purred, rubbing his cheek against Light. Sun shone down on all of their furs as if saying hello for the first time, the heavy snowstorm traces finally disappeared for good. It had only been a few weeks since they met, but both pairs would miss each other.

 

"No problem, it was berry nice to meet you Pecha!" Light giggled, returning the nudge, turning over to where Dark was training Sleep one last time. It had taken some time for Dark to fully trust them, but after Sleep and Pecha admitted they had never been in a battle before he sought to help teach some basics.

 

After some final words, Pecha and Sleep waved their tails in goodbye as the two pressed against each other, walking forwards, further away from their past.

 

Pecha didn't know if their paths would ever cross again, but he couldn't help but have a feeling their stories weren't finished with each other.

So my Eevee found a fire stone and evolved into a Flareon while we were on our walk yesterday. I honestly didn't plan on evolving him yet, so I haven't really looked into the different evolutions of an Eevee. Could you possibly tell me the best care tips for a Flareon?

Oh man. People really need to not leave stones laying around like that.

Some good tips for caring for a Flareon! First and foremost, Flareon have very soft but very hot fur, so grooming will need a soft-bristled brush made specifically for Fire types.

As for bathing, Flareon are capable of washing theirselves. Since their body temperature is so high, most grime or dirt solidifies and flakes off. However, if you have to wash your Flareon, leave a small and shallow pool of water and let them clean theirself. Too much water can hurt the Flareon, but a small amount will evaporate quickly and not harm them.

Feeding! Flareon are omnivorous, which means they eat both plants (berries) and meat. There are countless varieties of PokéFood out there for Eevee and their evolutions, but your average Flareon Food will suffice.

my eevee is upset its too rainy to hunt pokemon at lunchtime. 

cream wash, acne toner, snail lotion, mysterious k-beauty sample that had gold flakes in it. too-faced hangover primer. 

peripera peach milk blur primer, pink cushion highlighter, gold eyeshadow, brown eyeliner ran very thin. more powder highlighter, sweet potato red lipstain.

I’m really not that sure about this trend of putting gold flakes in skincare. I guess it could work like shimmer, but it seems like a way of jacking up the price considering the microscopic amount of gold in it. luckily its basically inert, so it’s not doing you any harm.

Ages of Ruin, Echoes from the Past, 6

Kuro tried to get up, but he was still to weak. Dune rushed to his side to support him, he leaned on her with a thankful expression. “You have no Idea how relieved I am to see you right now.” he said to her. She smiled and nuzzled his cheek, “I think I can imagine. I had to wait for several days for you to wake up after all.” she informed him.

He did look a bit shocked by that revelation. “I was out for that long?” He asked. Dune just nodded, a sad smile hushing over her face. He continued to look at her. “Well, good to see you’re allright at least.” he mentioned, “But how did you make it out of that unscathed?” … A sudden sadness washed over her, but she replied, “Well, can’t really kill what’s already dead. Can you?” she said it almost sarcastically.

He looked at her like he had a million questions, but Dune didn’t want to talk about it. “I need to check on Flake,” she mumbled and turned away “please just ask Mom about it.”. She had expected the things Lilly had told her to weigh on her mind, but the thought of telling Kuro made it even worse. She curled around Flake as he slept and tried to block out the world, it was just a bit to much right now.

As she rested she watched Kuro talk to Lilly. It seemed like her mom was telling him all the things she had told her before, as his Face went from worried to relieved then to horrified and back again. When Lilly was done he turned around and started to walk over, his eyes seemed to reflect Dunes emotions and she could only stare back longingly. She wanted so bad for him to just understand.

And he didn’t disappoint. He stopped right in front of her and waited. She knew he wanted a sign from her, that it was okay to get closer. She looked down, “I don’t want to talk, just be here. Okay?” she told him. And Kuro didn’t insist, he just laid down beside her, put his head on her back and started to purr. The sound echoed to her entire body and all the quelling anxiety went away and was replaced by comfort. Once again she realized how much she needed him in her Live.

There were many things she wanted to say in that moment, but the only thing she could mutter was, “I did this to him.” She looked at her son beside her, if only she had known. “No you didn’t.” Kuro interrupted her thoughts, “You didn’t know. You had no way of knowing, It’s not like Seraphore told you.” She wanted to refute him, “But, … if I had…” she began, whwn he cut her off.

“You didn’t even plan to have him.” He reminded her, “Remember how surprised we where when we woke up next to an egg?” She nodded, she had though that because of her Aura the two of them couldn’t easily have an egg, but apparently her evolving had changed her Aura to match her identity. If not for that Flake would have probably never happened. Kuro nodded, “You do remember. So then how can this possibly be your fault?”

Dune had to chuckle. To many this weird way of circular argument might have reinforced their believe, but to Dune it was exactly what she needed to hear. She grinned. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?” she asked awkwardly. Kuro grinned back, “Yeah, about a million times by now.” he replied and nuzzled her cheek, “But I don’t mind you saying it a million times more.”

They both smiled at each other sheepishly for a while, until someone interrupted them. “Are you going to make me a sibling now?” Flake asked. He had apparently woken up while they had talked and listened to their cheesy confessions. Kuro blushed and looked away, but Dune mustered her son and had to fight an upcoming laugh. He looked so innocent asking that.

He tilted his head curiously and Dune couldn’t help it any longer. She broke out in howling laughter, her whole body was shaking and she could feel the warmth come back to her. She saw Kuro mustering their son. “Aren’t you a bit to young to ask snarky questions like that?” he asked and Dune could hear his embarrassment.

“What do you mean?” Flake asked confused. Dune pressed her snout into his side. “What even brought that up?” she asked still laughing. Flake looked up, thinking, “Well a while ago I asked Kiara where eggs come from and she told me that when two Pokemon love each other they cuddle and then the next day an egg will appear.” He tilted his head, “Was that not true?” he asked.

Dunes laughter got louder again, “No, no,” she laughed, “She had a point there.” Kuro looked at her annoyed, “Dune, don’t encourage him.” he said. “But it’s not wrong, is it?” Dune shoot back. Kuro shook his head, “No, but…” he fixated Flake. “Look sweetie. Kiara wasn’t exactly lying, but she also left out a lot of details.” he started to explain.

Dune smirked, “How about we tell you when your older?” she interjected. Kuro nodded relieved. Flake also seemed satisfied by that answer for now and Dune smiled at him warmly. How could she have though even for a second that it would have been better if she hadn’t had him. How boring her live would be. The Kuro nudged her, “Look, Kiara has woken up too.”

Dune looked over to the corner where the wounded had rested and saw that he was right. Kiara was up and talking to Lilly. She smiled, now they were really out of the worst.
