both men of medicine, haunted by the past of their actions (or inaction)— arguably trying to do the right thing now while mentoring beings beyond them … there’s a lot of parallels between them!!! 

It’d be neat to see if this’ll be a spark of solidarity, or they’ll end up butting heads because of it 👀✨ (maybe even……..BOTH!!!)

ᯓ✦ OPHELIA⭐️PHOSA+LINAST what’s better than this? just three entities with astonishing abilities on a ✨journey of self-discovery✨

Ophelia is hedonistic, so perhaps there’s something there as someone who used to be trapped as nothing more than a tool to be used, now face-to-face with two who share a familiar (yet so different) fate as child soldiers? 

In short: Ophelia being both a wonderful or terrible influence on them (depending on who you ask) would be fuuuunnnyyyyyyy (if not just a little bit bittersweet, too!)

ᯓ✦ DOC+OPHELIA⭐️THE SPIRE oh woe, to escape one prison up in the stars, only to then be shoved in another one— i like the idea of somehow and someway, both Doc and Ophelia ending up as accidental visitors to the spire and sharing the same fate all visitors do.

While not a man of magic, Doc would be gung-ho about working on a way of escape (working with diamond perhaps?👀). In the meanwhile, I think Ophelia would try to liven up the place with her own flair of life ... and also ... perhaps be a bit of a trickster to those around her as a way to pass the time ... as well as acting as their brand new scary guard dog.

Author Notes: Hii!! Thank you for requesting again!! Im glad you liked the first Jeonghyeon fic!! I felt bad that it ended so soon :/ I'll add you to the anon list as soon as I finish this fic! I've only written Prince tropes once so I hope this goes how you wanted it to!! (Let me know if you want a part 2 of this one😎)

Story Under the cut!

Jeonghyeon was raised to be the best. From a very young age, he was taught by the greatest wizards ever, the best knights, and the best teachers. He beat his father im so many games, sword fights, and spell-offs.

With all this being said, Jeonghyeon went to Yuehua Academy expecting to be top of his class. So why was he always stuck in second place? And who the hell was this nerd he was sharing a dorm with?

"I hope you know that I'm not here willingly. I don't want to speak with you." Jeonghyeon frowned at ⭐, still in shock that his parents were making him live in the student dorms.

"I'm not used to people, so you dont have to worry my prince!" ⭐ said, smiling softly before turning on his heel, heading towards his room. Jeonghyeon stood there, stunned at the interaction. Blinking a couple times, he frowned, following ⭐ to his room. Why? He didn't know, but something about the way ⭐ said "my prince" had Jeonghyeon feeling.. different.

"Why aren't you used to people? And why are you always first on the stupid academics board?" Jeonghyeon asked, leaning againdt the doorframe of ⭐'s room. ⭐ looked over at the prince from his desk and smiled again. "I have to be first if i want to keep my scholarship, and I'm from a small town so I'm not used to interacting with people yet..."

"Scholarship..? Whats that?" Jeonghyeon looks confused and tilts his head. ⭐ just smiles again and explains, "If you're lucky and excel is something, a scholarship helps you get through college for free."

As ⭐ explained, Jeonghyeon made his way to ⭐'s bed and sat down. For some reason unknown to him, the prince wanted to be closer to ⭐. "So.. you're basically like.. really good at spell casting?"

⭐ laughed at the thought subconsciously. Jeonghyeon seemed shocked that the other male was laughing at him and furrowed his brows. "No my prince.. I wasn't laughing at you, I just found that funny.. but no, I'm really not that good.." ⭐ continues to laugh quietly, resting his head in his hands.

"Well.. If youre so good, think you could teach me what you know?" Jeonghyeon smirked, thinking that he's bluffed the younger male.

Searching ⭐'s face as he lifts his head, the prince looks for signs of fear. But there aren't any. ⭐'s eyes are bright and confident, and hes still smiling from laughing earlier.

"Are you sure? That's basically asking me to a duel..." ⭐ didn't sound proud if that, he looked a bit worried as he looked at Jeonghyeon, wondering what the boy could be thinking.

Jeonghyeon nods confidently, getting up off of ⭐'s bed. "I'm positive. I wanna know what all the hype is about, and whether you truly are better than me." He then sticks his hand out towards ⭐, waiting for him to shake it.

⭐ hesitates, but shakes Jeonghyeon's hand. "Then how's tomorrow at 3?"

...

It's Wednesday, and the courtyard is crowded. Students all there just to see Jeonghyeon battle a "nobody". ⭐ had to force his way through the crowd to meet Jeonghyeon in the middle.

A few rounds in, ⭐ was winning 3-2. The battle was stopped abruptly when an explosion and loud alarm rang out. Students scattered everywhere, pushing ⭐ and the prince onto the ground. Debris filled the air, large chunks of rock and small glass shards landing all around the two males. ⭐ had quickly casted a protection spell around Jeonghyeon, covering the male with his body as well.

A few pieces of debris flew close to ⭐'s face, and one hit his glasses, causing them to break and fly off ⭐'s face. ⭐ was obviously stunned, and fell to the ground. The spell deactivated, and Jeonghyeon crawled over to ⭐, peering into his eyes. 'God his eyes are pretty...' Jeonghyeon thought, abd then shook his head.

"⭐, are you okay?" Jeonghyeon waves his hand in front of ⭐'s face, unsure of what to do. ⭐'s eyes are unfocused, but he still notices the massive piece of debris heading straighr for Jeonghyeon.

As ⭐ pushed the prince away, he was stunned. 'Did ⭐ really just.. push me?' Jeonghyeon thought. Looking back over, he almost screamed when he saw the metal embedded in ⭐'s side.

Scrambling over to the younger, Jeonghyeon held ⭐ close. "You idiot..." Scanning the area quickly, all Jeonghyeon could find was ⭐'s glasses. Grabbing them quickly, he placed them back on ⭐'s face.

⭐'s eyes were unfocused as he peered up at Jeonghyeon. "Are... are you okay? You didnt get hurt, did you?"

Jeonghyeon shook his head and sighed, cradling ⭐ in his arms. "It's you that got injured ⭐.." He frowns, watching the younger pass out, glasses slipping off his face. "Idiot... but you saved me.. like a knight.."

Jeonghyeon paused and picked up ⭐'s glasses again. "A knight with broken glasses.."

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW (2014)

This movie has the power to make me sick to my stomach all while playing on my claustrophobia alone. A story about some folks taking a trip into the Paris catacombs with a little Grave Encounters flair. Worth the watch if you can endure and enjoy the small spaces. Acting is genuine and believable.

Scarlett is a spunky explorer who wants to find the Philosopher's Stone after her father lost his mind in his quest to do the same. She meets up with her old pal George and together with a group of other crazy folks they head down into the Paris catacombs but things are not as they appear… 

The scene where they all have to lie down and crawl across the bones is so gut wrenching to me. The whole thing is just so confined. And then one of our team members suffers a panic attack and I feel so strongly for him at that moment. The fear is so real even though all that is happening is movement. I am terrified of caving, that is why Ted the Caver is one of my favorites stories, it makes me squirm! I am so perplexed on how any human being can put themselves in something closed off, I get claustrophobic in my own blankets sometimes!

The gang find themselves in the same place they started and tensions rise, I for one have even more trouble breathing because how the hell are they planning on leaving? The only way to go is through, which means down. Down, down, down. Deeper they go, they find an old missing friend of the French guide but he is off his rocker (doesn’t anyone see that?). Finally they make it to the fabled room with the stone but this is when folks start to die. One by one we lose half of our party and remember, there is no running away from whatever lurks in the dark! Not in these caves!

The final three still try to outrun whatever evil is in the catacombs but it is hot on their tail. Scarlett is made to go back to the room they found the stone and “rectify” by putting the stone back. Then it turns out Scarlett is the philosopher's stone? It was in her all along I guess? As Above, So Below. She had to be the change she wanted to see. This was pretty thin but okay. I still really enjoyed the film. In the end the gang falls down a long hole and finds an opening way deep down, they go through and it leads them to the main roads of Paris, inexplicably. 

An absolute whirlwind and a creeping sense of wonder, did they really get out? They had been through so much, possibly even the gates to hell, and now they are just free? Three party members lighter, mind you, but still. Even after a third rewatch this movie makes me squirm so I give it a high score plus in general it has good spooky vibes like Mr. Jones.

"The Crow" (2024) is a failed attempt to revive a cult classic. Despite a promising cast, including Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs, the film lacks the depth and style that made the original so iconic. The plot, which focuses heavily on the backstory of Eric and Shelly's love, feels generic and lifeless, failing to create any real emotional connection between the characters. The villain is equally forgettable, and the film’s overall aesthetic is disappointingly bland.

Directed by Rupert Sanders, known for his mediocre remakes, the movie lacks the dark, gothic atmosphere and stylish flair that defined the original. Even its action scenes, save for one gory sequence near the end, are unremarkable. Ultimately, this reboot feels unnecessary, offering little more than a pale imitation of what made the 1994 version memorable.

One Star is a weak attempt to reboot an iconic franchise that falls short of expectations.
