Mülheimer Kegler mit hoffnungsvollem Start  

Gut erholt präsentierten sich die Mülheimer Sportkegler am vergangenen Samstag. Nach der dreiwöchigen Pause über den Jahreswechsel sollte das Auswärtsspiel beim SKC Langenfeld/Paffrath auch als Standortbestimmung für das bevorstehende Saisonfinale dienen.  So durfte Teamchef Stefan Blum sicherlich mit den Leistungen seiner Akteure zufrieden gewesen sein. Im Vergleich zur letzten Spielzeit wurde das Mannschaftsergebnis um fast 300 Holz gesteigert. Garanten dafür waren neben Michael Kuenkamp, der mit hervorragenden 885 Holz die höchste Gästezahl erspielte, Thomas Klasen (866 Holz), Heiko Störig (859 Holz) und Andreas Happe (858 Holz).

Allein damit wäre in der Vergangenheit durchaus der Gewinn der Zusatzwertung möglich gewesen. Die Hausherren hatten allerdings stets eine passende Antwort parat und konnten souverän alle Angriffe abwehren. So endete die Partie letztlich mit 5293 zu 4966 Holz und 3 zu 0 Punkten für Langenfeld. 

In der nächsten Woche müssen die Mülheimer erneut reisen. Ein Punktgewinn beim unangefochtenen Tabellenführer CfK GW 65 Rösrath wäre dann sicher eine Überraschung, weshalb der Fokus bereits jetzt schon verstärkt auf die beiden Heimspiele zum Abschluss der Saison gerichtet ist.

My prep so far…

I’m not going to sit here and say I’m not conscious of body image because you kind of have to when you’re going to be on stage in a bikini, which is why I had to be in a really good place mentally and have a good relationship with food and training before I decided to do these shows.

I recognised last year that I wasn’t in the right place mentally.

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and changes.

You need to be prepared for other people’s opinions, body changes, giving up on some aspects of socials, self doubt…and buying a new wardrobe cuz nothing bloody fits haha

I wanted to do this for me, to push myself to the extreme and see what I can achieve mentally and physically….but you know what, I am enjoying every single part of it the highs and the lows!

Luckily my prep has been fairly straight forward so I’ve definitely had far more highs than lows.

I’ve met such supportive people on my journey so far who message me and come up and speak to me with words of encouragement.

So thank you 🙏🏼
