Transformation Tuesday ..... on a Saturday!! 7 months ago I embarked on a journey I had been putting off for too long. The journey of taking care of myself. I was Introduced to a personal trainer that has been with me every step of the way, dedicating himself to my goals while keeping me accountable! Thank you @hangar76inc!!! Looking back, the only thing im sad about is how long I allowed myself to be so unhealthy.
The photo on the left was taken by my lovely sister, and while I was very unsatisfied with my back boobs and the size of my ass; I fell in love with the beauty of the photo.
Last weekend I took a trip home and wanted to recreate it. As I'm sure you can tell, the water was much colder this go around but beyond that, I am just so motivated by the amount of progress I have made!
I find stability in knowing that this change is long term. I'm not on a diet, I'm not doing a workout challenge, I've made a lifestyle change. I will never go back to the way I lived before, and because of that I know my path only continues upwards from here!! And that knowledge, is more comforting than I can even explain to you.

Lets try this again....
So here I am, starting to work out yet AGAIN.... *eye rolls* Hoping this time sticks. 
I’ve been going through a lot of emotions due to a lot of different situations in my life. Returning home after college, struggling to cope with the health issues in my family, struggling with my self determination and to what I want to do with my life, struggling to meet the demands of being a girl stuck between two cultures, struggling to cope with the loss of my former love, and struggling to be happy with were I am. 
So yea, I’ve been through a lot of rollercoasters in the past few months. I have my continuing ups and downs. 
Anyways, so back to the story of working out and self improvement.
So, since turning 28 this year, I decided that because I seem to be out of control in every aspect of my life, I need to do something for me that I can control. As I started thinking, I thought about how I used to workout and how unfit I was and how I missed that brief time in my life that I was so motivated to workout and how I loved that feeling of my sweat drenched body and how much stress it helped me relieve. So I decided to dedicate the next 2 years to becoming fit. 
My goal is fit by 30. I want to be able to lead a healthy lifestyle and improve myself as I have always wanted, but have been too lazy to. I’ve made every excuse in the book, but I realized I’m not getting any younger and I need to be fit because I don’t want to be that 50 year old person who is too unhealthy to be able to move on her own. 
So with that mind set, I set out to join a gym. I had been talking to a friend for forever about joining a gym and she told me about her gym and how they had classes that came included with the gym membership. I thought about it and looked into other gyms, but I really liked the idea of being able to go to classes when I wanted because they were included in the gym membership. So I went in and joined. 
This past week has been the most painful and most exhilarating week ever. I worked out Monday - Sunday with 1 day break on Thursday. I loved being drenched in sweat. The soreness is just affirmation that I’m doing something good for my body. I forgot how much I love working out and sweating, it’s even better than I thought it would be. 
Anyway it’s been a great start to my fitness journey. 1 week down and +/- 101 weeks to go. Self inspiration. Self love. Get it girl!

intro
My name is Christopher and along with most of my family, I’ve been overweight most of my life. I’m currently weighing in around 230lbs and I’m unhappy about it. I wanted to start this blog to track my progress, ideas and goals for myself and for anyone else that might come across it that can take something away from it. Like I said, most of my family is either overweight or extremely overweight. I was reading a book the other day and it came to my mind that I don’t know of more than maybe two men in my family that isn’t severely overweight. I thought about how most of the men in my family in their 50’s have some sort of disease related to their weight, it made me very unhappy. The women in my family are pretty much in the same boat. Three of my close family members have had gastric bypass and most of my aunts and cousins are overweight as well. I’m not trying to shame any of my family, I love them all so much! I think a lightbulb in my head just started blinking that I need to get my shit together before I’m in the same exact boat as all of them.
We’re almost halfway through January 2016 and I’ll be twenty-nine years old in May. I’ve dieted so many times in my life, weight-watchers, counting calories, paleo and LCHF. I started reading ‘The Wild Diet’, and my goal is to yes, cut my carbs back A LOT. Mostly avoiding sugar and grains but not cutting them out completely. I’ve found myself drinking alcohol way more often then I should be (for the sake of a diet) so I’m going to limit myself there as well. My hopes is to look at myself in the mirror on my birthday in May and be a lot more accepting of who I am looking at.
Here goes nothing.
