Wochenende (2): Obstbesuch

Angefangen hat der Tag mit einer großen Portion (zuckerfreier) Pancakes mit einer Mango-Mandel-Vanillecreme. Die Kinder waren begeistert und haben den Berg fast gänzlich verputzen können.

Nachmittags besuchte uns dann Familie Obst.

Für eine gesellige Kaffeerunde haben sie bereits kinder-erprobten, bereits erwähnten Dattel-Schoko-Kuchen mitgebracht (obwohl ich fest mit Apfelkuchen gerechnet hatte). Und ich muss sagen: Deliziös!! Dass da kein Zucker drin ist, ist nur schwer zu glauben (aber bei der (Un)Menge an Datteln dann doch nachvollziehbar ;) Auf jeden Fall sollte @obiobst hier nochmal das Rezept posten, denn danach wurde ich jetzt schon mehrfach gefragt. Wenn es sich denn nicht um ein geheimes Familienrezept handelt, versteht sich.

Im Anschluss und neben einer Runde "Geisterschiff" bei der es hoch her ging, wurden frische Bandnudeln hergestellt, natürlich wieder mit unserer treuen, nicht quietschenden Julia (aka die Nudelmaschine) Dazu wurden Blattspinat und Lachs gereicht, ergänzt durch ein allseits beleibtes Nealko Budwar.

Schon komisch wenn einem das Essen wegfotografiert wird ;-)

Eating your sushi with fish is so 1995..😴 (Not that there’s anything wrong with the 90s, don't get me wrong. #90slove) Veggie sushi is just as delicious, seriously!🍣 And the best part: It’s better for your health and the planet plus our fishy friends don’t have to be killed for your sushi.🐡🐙 You might think „I don’t care, I love the taste of fish“. Well well, let me tell you: I used to LOVE eating fish before going vegan. Pizza Tonno and roasted salmon belonged to my favourite dishes and I guess I still love the taste of fish.🐟🍕 However, did you ever think about other things maybe being more important than your taste buds?🤔 Well, for me personally, 2.5 years ago I came to a point in my life at which I realized that my ethical beliefs and the resposibility we have for this planet are way more important than those 5 minutes of pleasure eating my fish.😐 I couldn’t even enjoy it anymore anyway as the only thing I could think about while eating was where this fish came from. Went vegan overnight and never looked back although I still love the smell of roasted fish, can‘t deny it - and why should I? It only proves that you can easily go and stay vegan even if you loved the taste of animal products before.🙌 And you probably can’t hear it anymore but: Going vegan has been the best decision I ever made and the only regret I have is that I didn't make it earlier.🌱 The reason why every vegan says this is because it simply is the way we feel. Wanna know if we tell the truth? ❤🎄 'Christmas With The Kitty-cats' 🎄❤ ❤❤❤❤❤ The kitty-cats got a couple new surprises today. They we not 100% from 'The Elves' this time; but we can pretend that they were. 🧡🧡😺🧡🧡 Someone in the neighborhood had a little fish. A female 'Betta Fish' tonbe precise. 🧡🐠🧡 They got this little fish for their daughter for school; but her daughter wasn't really into it. They got one for their son too and he L🧡VES his little fish. His is a boy fish. Because their daughter didn't want her little fish named, 'Rainbow', they decided to look for a new home for her. 🧡🧡❤🧡🧡 And well, we adopted her. The kitty-cats L🧡VE little 'Rainbow'. They like to watch her swim around and snack on her fish food. They don't disturb her. They just watch in fascination. They even all had dinner together tonight (Yesterday / Thursday Night). 🧡🧡🐠🧡🧡 The previous owner also gave us a new 'Kitty Bed'. That was the other suprise. I think it used to be a dog bed; but she washed it for us. She thought it would be perfect for Hula and Tilly. She said that their pet, Ruby, had grown out of it. 🧡😺🧡 I'll show you pictures of the kitty-cats in their new 'Livingroom Bed' another day. Today is all about 'Rainbow' joining our little 'Family Of 4'.
