Hi I love your stuff about Garnold… if you haven’t already tell us about your interpretation of him,,,
garnold has not been done yet so ofc i shall! it's funny how i have Thoughts regarding garnold despite not really caring for him as a character lmao. i'm ill. anyway!
-he's some sort of fish, he needs the occassional water for oxygen but not like. primarily. he'd just be weak and sick if not. the suit he made was to negate that, and also to help move around, so it's primary function is to be an aid.
-i think he's some sort of purple under the suit.. heheheh purple. purple gu-
-actually tbh they do have alot of similarities, so like. i do kinda see him as afton if he wasn't a child murderer. smart with robotics, handy with them too, and a good partner and father.
-him and clukr immediately bonded over their love for robotics and engineering and shared their greatest achievements with each other (garnold prides himself with his suit and clukr is proud of mr. fun computer). afterwards they decided to collaborate on a project, thus creating fun bot. and thus what i call the "robotics family".
-also yea i think garnold and clukr definitely are together. may be poly tho but still. fun bot and mr. fun computer are considered their kids.
-he's definitely the guy to annoy his kids (and everyone around) with dad jokes and puns, i can feel it in my bones. fun bot joins in while clukr and mr. fun computer always groan at them.
-his voice comes out bitcrushed while in the suit, but he can change it to make specific noises if he wants, so he technically can create more sounds than a typical sprunki. they all sound generated tho, so it's obvious it ain't his vocals. something like that WOULD be seen as kinda weird and disrespectful to other sprunkis, so he doesn't flaunt it around except to his family.
-he's a bit testy with jevin, due to wanting no part in some of the secretive stuff jevin seems to be into. he's kinda neutral on tunner, but does question why the sheriff is just. chill with jevin and whatever he does.
-he does see brud as a son. not in an infantilizing way, he recognizes that brud is also an adult, however he does feel a bit protective of him and treats him like he's part of the family.
-he kinda doesn't get some of the younger sprunkis at times, mostly oren, simon, and raddy. you could say he's not hip with the younger crowd LMAO.
-he's best buds with durple, they knew each other even before garnold built his suit, so him and durple know each other front and back. that's why he noticed right away when he started acting strange, but he couldn't do anything about it, especially after durple killed clukr in front of him.
-he was corrupted soon afterwards, however his was different from the others - he's completely aware of what's happening, and still mentally "there", however blackhat took control of his suit instead, making it move without garnold's input. garnold can see and hear everything happening, but can't control his own suit, thus he's stuck seeing everything unfold.
-he got to see himself killing sky too, and saw that fun bot witnessed it too. he tried attacking fun bot too, but the robot managed to damage the suit enough to cause it to springlock on garnold, killing him in the process.
-while garnold, in the moment, was just thankful that he was stopped.. he didn't get to die peacefully. he actually died from the blood loss, which took awhile. and even afterwards, he was reanimated, still in the suit and still springlocked.
-since he's springlocked, he can't actually move, so he's trapped in that suit and in that position, unless someone moves him. he can't really talk either, and most that can come out is groans and mumbles. think springtrap's moaning in fnaf 3, cuz that's basically his situation now, except he can't even get up.

SPLATOON 3 NINTENDO DIRECT SIDE ORDER ITS HAPPENING ITS HAPPENING OH MY GOD
okay. analysis time
MY GIRL AAHHH SHES BACK!! okay SO. inkopolis square. but dead. its a bleached coral forest basically. there seems to be this sorta of,, electricity thing going on throughout the trailer that we can see on the lobby tower. overall looks dope as hell
WE HAVE THE FULL FIT!! FOR BOTH GENDERS!! okay first of all what are those ink tanks? sorta looks like those IV bags. same with the outfit,, the shoes sorta look like casts and the clothes look like some sort of sensory deprivation tank suit. a lot of medical vibes going on from the white color and everything. i love it
PEARL BOT! no questions about it, marina definitely made this for her (the wives :D) its interesting that pearl isn't actually there (marina isn't either, ill talk more about my theory later) but she can still talk to us through this robot. also love how marina added the sliding eyebrows to make it more expressive LMAO
i love how we can ride pearl bot as well. i think this will be an important feature, wonder if we can control her when this happens :O
okay what are these? i think the first one on the left is a mem cake, not really sure what the others are though
okay im seeing a theme of electricity and we can see in the background it sort of glitching, so i think side order might a simulation or something. the huge orb in the middle is definitely some fucked up zapfish (where you end the level im assuming), but its glitching and then a ton of the skeleton creatures come out of it
it looks like a ton of dead fish (dedf1sh...?),, we havent seen any octolings that you need to fight yet so these seem like the new enemies replacing them for side order. though i do wonder if we'll ever encounter an evil octoling (or inkling or salmonid, who knows) also are these an entire new species? or just some simulation creature
i also love how instead of ink, its the same electricity we've been seeing used to summon the weapons. this whole realms creation definitely has something to do with marina since its side order and its super technologically advanced
okay WOA numbers. definitely something marina would implement. i don't have much to say about this but yea, im loving the tech-y themes going on. it also seems like pearlbot is helping you fight these guys since she is shooting lasers at them. if she's sorta like small fry, i wonder if we will ever get to use her as a bomb, or if she is automatic
also its confirmed that the octoling is indeed agent 8! i was like 90% sure but im glad its definite
okay the biggest thing about this trailer, DEDF1SH!!!!!!!!!
"just another bystander who got sucked in." what sucked them in? my theory is that marina somehow trapped them in a simulation she made of a world thats orderly- maybe she made it after the final fest?or is this an already existing place? maybe some whirlpool was created after octo expansion and this place exists under inkopolis square?
SHE HAS A NAME!!! ACHT!!!! also i am so glad all of the fan theories were correct and she isn't evil, just still partially sanitized. i wonder if that will be a factor in the story? more dedf1sh lore?
her glasses are different! since she doesn't have the hypno shades anymore she prolly has much more awareness now since she isnt being brainwashed, though she is still sanitized- but i think the music is counteracting the effects of that since shes a dj and shes always wearing headphones
also why is her arm bandaged? what happened to her? also all this time i thought she was wearing a tshirt LMAO
i am a huge dedf1sh fan and i have quite a few theories about her, so i hope she is an important character in the story of side order and we get some backstory
ESPECIALLY ABOUT HER HISTORY WITH MARINA!! they are both djs so that probably is important, but i am really excited to learn more about them. i think marina mightve gone missing and we are looking for her too?
the color chips seem to be like, stat boosts? and also 8 started to gain color once you add them! its sorta like deep cut's colored fingers. wonder if this will be a new feature after the dlc! i loveee customization options
this seems to be the respawn animation which !?!?!? IS SO COOL!?!?!
i have no idea what this is but. oh my god. i am so excited for this. its happening.
#splatoon#side order#agent 8#dedf1sh#pearl#marina#off the hook#IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS YOU GUYS#AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA#splatoon 3#also id like to add#if agent 4 doesnt make an appearance#i will be very upset#because i am such an agent 4 enthusiast#and i want to see her again#that is all.

Wild Kratts Episode Ideas
We made it another year. 2024, specifically, January 3rd, 2024, marks the 13th anniversary of Wild Kratts, which first aired in 2011 with Mom of a Croc. I remember first watching the bros as a toddler with Zoboomafoo, and I have grown up with Wild Kratts, from kindergarten to college. I owe the bros for opening my eyes to how amazing the creature world is. To celebrate, I wanted to share some episode ideas I came up with:
Fish Hacking 101: Chris and Martin desire to master the hunting techniques of the mysterious tentacled snake. But to Gourmand, the obscure serpent is just another ingredient for his latest dish.
Yetis and Leopards: To keep the bros away while they plan a surprise party, Aviva sends the bros looking for snow leopards. However, they find the mysterious cats much quicker than expected, forcing Aviva to keep the bros away from the Tortuga by baiting them with a Yeti robot she built, but snow leopards are great hunters.
Upriver With a Paddlefish: During Tortuga maintenance day, Koki goes kayaking, when she is hit by a jumping sturgeon. Injured and with her creature pod busted, the brothers find an unlikely hope in another strange looking fish.
Inferno the Fire Hawk: While visiting Australia, the crew observe a black kite intentionally setting fires. Paisley learns of this too, and hires Zach to mind control the birds into obeying her.
Dot and Stripe's Big Day: The crew have successfully rehabilitated a pair of orphaned Malayan tapir twins. But the spots the crew have chosen to release the siblings in have each been claimed by older, tougher tapirs. Aviva gives the bros Tapir powers so they can traverse the jungle and find new, suitable territory for the twins.
Ice Day for Salamanders: In the most ambitious experiment yet, the brothers freeze themselves alive in Siberian Salamander Powers for a day. However, Paisley abducts the brothers, intending to auction them off to the other villains to finance her schemes.
The Perfect Mudskipper Name: Martin's attempt to ride a mudskipper lead to him loosing his suit, and a mudskipper merging with it, like Seven did. The now humanoid fish kicks the gang out of the Tortuga, and all efforts to get him out of the ship and the suit fail. The brothers must learn to fight like a mudskipper to win their ship back, and get the fish back to normal.
Parrotfish Beach: While at the beach, Martin chances across a parrotfish. Not having seen one of the vibrant fish since they saved some from Zach and Donita, the team get to work to make a new suit. Meanwhile, Paisley has decided to create her newest road right through the reef, using a monstrosity of a machine she calls, "The Colossus of Roads".
Nudibranch Bingo: After finding a Blue Dragon Sea Slug, the brothers head to the Philippines in a game to see who can find the most species of sea slugs. Unbeknownst to them, Donita has hacked their cameras, so she can find and collect the colorful invertebrates to use in her newest designs, having grown bored of regular gems and jewels.
Hagfish Day: After finding out hagfish have a day dedicated to them, yet barely anybody knows about them, the brothers take the Pulponaut to the bottom of the sea to look for the elusive slime eels.
Jimmy and the Silverback: While his friends go off with a Gorilla troop, Jimmy laments his fear getting in the way of his desire to explore. Fortunately for him, another troop comes to the Tortuga. Unfortunately, the bros, Aviva, Koki, and the first troop, get in trouble, and Jimmy must step up to save his friends, and the gorilla.s
What Big Teeth You Have: While diving, the brothers chance upon a den of Wolf Eels and their eggs. Soon though, the bros must take up the duty to defend the nest after the parents are injured. While their friends take care of the expecting parents, Chris and Martin must keep the eggs safe. But competition is fierce. Octopus and other Wolf Eels want the den, and the brothers must keep them away.
Do the Velvet Worm: The brothers are on a long overdue adventure to find the rare and mysterious velvet worm, who thrive in wet and warm environments. But Paisley's newest scheme threatens to destroy the home of the worms, and all the other creatures there.
Keeping up with the Hornbills: Chris and Martin seal themselves in with an expecting mother Hornbill so that they can document the process, but when Donita teams up with Paisley to collect animals from the forest she is destroying, the tree the bros are in gets tossed into the river.
Condor Crash Course: A malfunction of the Tortuga's new autopilot system causes the ship to crash at the end of the Andes Mountains, and the crew are stuck at the other end. Martin thinks they could traverse the mountains with condor powers, but the trick is to find the birds first.
Quetzals of Then and Now: Aviva tells her friends the story of how her grandmother obtained the feathers of the Corcovado family birdie in a massive creature adventure.
Four Kratts and Some Saigas: The brothers' sisters come to visit, but creature adventuring doesn't stop for family reunions. The crew get a call of a herd of Saiga suffering from a bacteria infection.
Vampire Deer: The brothers learn about Chinese Water Deer, which have fangs in lieu of antlers. But the investigation into these weird deer is interrupted by Donita, who wants to use the deer as material for her new line of formal wear: Donita's Deer-est.
24 Hours in Lake Baikal: From freshwater seals to special sponges, and even weird natural formations, the record-holding Lake Baikal has caught the brothers' interest. It has also caught the interest of Gourmand and Paisley, who team up to make sure the brothers don't interfere.
Queen of the Meerkats: Struck by how fierce meerkats are, Zach captures the head female and several others to use in his new line of "Zach-Tion Figure" toys. Chris and Martin must save the meerkats while their friends keep what's rest of the fragile hierarchy from falling apart.
Olm's World: The brothers realized they never got around to making Olm powers. They return to Europe to find the mysterious "human-fish", so they can figure out the secrets of the unique salamander, such as how it can live for so long despite being blind.
Jamming With Moths: While building more bat boxes for their friend Bite-Size, Chris realizes the Little-Brown Bat, and all the other bats, are struggling to catch moths. The team is spurred by curiosity to determine whether the echolocation of a bat is truly a fool proof adaptation.
Be the Bee Eater: Bee Eaters are disappearing, and Zach is behind it. He plans to mind control the birds and sell them around the world as insect catchers.
Jumping Spider Jubilee: The crew split up to find the most unique species of jumping spiders. They will meet hunters, dancers, and even one little spider who lives up very high.
Night with a Not-Lizard: Impatient to study tuataras, a miniaturized Chris injures his leg, and he must use his skills, and the powers of the Tuatara, to avoid rats and other hungry predators to get back to the Tortuga.

WUKO WEEK 2024!!! :D!!!!!
Prompt: ANGST + AU
yes this is my miraculous au I’m cringe but I’m free
[CW: violence & implied homophobia]
-
It was personal. That was the first thing Mako thought upon seeing him.
The unfortunate consequences of their situation weren’t secret. Fighting people- usually innocent people, having their minds warped and twisted into near-cartoonish villainy- it was never pleasant. But if he didn’t think too much about it and got it done, it didn’t weigh on him too heavily. And they at least didn’t have the memory intact of him and his friends beating the shit out of them.
Naturally, it was harder to digest if it was someone he knew personally. Even more so someone he liked. Maybe more than liked, but he didn’t have the emotional capacity to process that at the moment.
They were taking a high perch on a building, trying to survey the threat. The threat, this time, being a friend of theirs’. Or what was left of him. How much truth was in akuma victims’ monologues and threats was an ongoing debate- and one Mako didn’t like. He tried not to care. He knew it wasn’t them, so that was all that mattered.
And it was easier to separate the slow-striding figure on the street below from the jovial, theatrical person he knew in his civilian life.
Long, ornate robes flowed on the asphalt, green and gold, his entire body ornamented with at least times the usual amount of jewelry that Wu normally wore, which was saying something. Mako could practically hear the clinking from where he was. His hands, normally soft and gentle, seemed to have gold growing out of them from the knuckles, coalescing and twisting together into hooked claws. Really, gold seemed to have replaced his veins, with branches of it swimming through his skin, which was grayed and pale and sickly-looking. Inhuman.
He had a crown. A pointed, heavy-looking, so ornate it was hard to process crown. And his eyes were like pearls- white and empty.
He scanned the abandoned street, pausing for a moment before continuing on his way. Every step was methodical, almost robotic, and regal to the point of sheer pretension. The only sign of emotion was the seconds of a grimace when he found no-one. Did he want people to be there? To watch him, maybe?
Where the last of his robe left, gold made the trail, making a signature of his presence wherever he went. And it let Mako know that they shouldn’t just go in and kick him. Not if they wanted to be solid gold in less than a second.
Whatever his new name was (Mako didn’t care, he’d still call him Wu), Mako was sure it wouldn’t be the best idea to just jump down and say hi.
“So then what do we do?” Korra huffed after he voiced this out loud, partially to him and partially to herself. Her blue, cat-like eyes narrowed in sheer concentration. She took her metal staff and sat it across her knees, hunching over into a relaxed position.
“There has to be some kind of weak spot. None of the villains are impervious. We just have to find out where it is. I suggest we keep observing- maybe we can find his object and…fish it out or something.”
”He’s covered in jewelry and ornamentation,” Asami piped up, her red cape folding as she leaned back. Her red, spotted outfit complimented Korra’s black suit as they slumped against each other. “We have to figure out which is the one holding the butterfly, but…I don’t know how to do that.”
“We could ask him,” Bolin provided, and Mako resisted a mean glare. Bolin blinked back at him through his green visor.
“No, Bolin, we’re not going down to the supervillain and asking him what his weakness is.”
“Well if we can’t think of anything else, why not?” Bolin said. “Besides, we can’t predict how they are. He might actually tell us. Wu’s a nice guy.”
”So are most of the people who get turned into villains,” Asami reasoned. “It doesn’t mean he’ll be nice now. He’s not in control; we have to be smart about this.”
“It seems like he’s looking for civilians,” Mako said, placing his fingers around his chin. “If we walk up to him like this, no doubt he’ll attack. But maybe one of us could go up undisguised. See if he’ll be calmer. But that’s a backup plan…I’d rather none of us get put in the path of danger.”
”Seems like a good plan to me,” Korra interjected, lowering herself and creeping closer to the edge, trying to get a better look at him. “We can’t just sit up here and watch him.”
”Well…yes we can,” Mako said slowly.
”And what if someone goes up to him and gets in trouble? We’ll just see what he does?”
”Well, no, but I-“
We don’t have time to waste watching him. We gotta do something, and now, before he does anything bad.”
”Well then what do you suggest?” Mako responded, his temper mounting.
”I suggest your first plan. I bet he’d say at least something with you down there. He likes you.”
”When he’s sane he does! I don’t know how he’ll-“
”C’mon, just go. We’ll be here to intervene if he does anything.”
”And get yourselves turned into statues? I’d rather not.”
”You don’t know that!”
Well we also don’t know-!”
”Just GO!” Korra cried, seeming as if she was one word away from smashing her head into the roof. “You’ll be fine. You’re smart and he’s got a big fat crush on you.”
”He does not-“
”Detransform, dude.”
Mako did as he was told, but not without a sour expression the entire time. Magical energy flowed off of him, leaving him vulnerable, and he promptly made his way down the building’s stairs, hurrying through and out the side door, dipping into the alleyway. He slid along the wall until he could peek around the corner, getting a closer look at Wu.
Safe to say, he grew a bit. Maybe there were some kind of insane platforms under that robe, but he was easily taller than Mako now, making him (unfortunately) more imposing. His now-gold plastered hands were curled into almost fists, and his face was locked in a grimace, making him look perpetually agitated.
He scanned the street again with his blank eyes, and Mako ducked out of view, making sure to tell his heartrate to slow the fuck down. Once he got that under control, he composed himself, checked to make sure his Miraculous was intact, then stepped out into the open.
Wu’s gaze immediately locked onto him within the second, piercing and almost wild. Mako suppressed a flinch, and decided to feign innocent surprise, his arms coming up in surrender. He let the moment sit, then squinted.
“…Wu?” he tried, covering the reach as slow recognition.
He prayed Korra was right, and that he wasn’t about to get swiftly and completely incapacitated.
Wu’s eyes narrowed before they widened, and even though his posture barely changed, he somehow seemed a little more relaxed. “Mako,” he breathed. “Finally. I was starting to think people were avoiding me.”
”What happened?” Mako asked, not daring to take a step closer.
“Oh, this?” Wu said, looking down at himself. As if Mako could be talking about anything else. ”A recent development. Does it look nice?”
Wu twisted a bit, showing off the intricate patterns of his robe.
”It’s…a lot,” Mako answered truthfully. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but your usual outfits are a little…tamer.”
Wu chuckled, and Mako took that for the leeway he hoped it was.
”But I mean- what happened to you? To make this happen…”
“Oh, nothing too bad, really,” Wu said, which was clearly a lie. “Just..family issues, mostly. Nothing revolutionary! But I suppose those issues are gone now.” He flexed his hooked fingers, the gold sparking in the sunlight. “Now I’m staking my claim, as it were.”
”What…happened to your family..?”
”My aunt? Hm. Well, she was being my aunt. That’s all. But the problem is solved, and she’s to be made an example of in my new domain.” Wu motioned out around them, and Mako’s expression sank.
“Wu, listen to me,” Mako said, his heart skipping a beat as he tried his luck, “there are people who can help you. You don’t want this, trust me. Are you hearing me?”
Wu smiled and strode closer, and Mako was frozen as Wu stopped right in front of him. Mako had to crane his neck to look up at him, which was absurd, and it only added to the heavy feeling in Mako’s chest.
”I love how you care,” Wu sighed, “but I’m alright. This is a new beginning for me! You’re my friend- you should be happy for me. You should join me on my coronation stroll. You can be made a high member in my court.”
Mako winced, his nose curling. “Wu, people are scared of you right now. You’re not yourself- just- let me help.”
“Mako! Chivalrous as ever, but trust me, everything is fine. Come with me- you’ll be safe, I promise.”
Wu reached out, his warped hand grasping Mako’s wrist. Mako tensed, preparing himself for the worst, but he quickly realized that nothing was happening. So it seemed Wu could control it- which could be beneficial if he played his cards right. Mako scanned his friend for any signs of a telltale object, but nothing stood out.
“But I don’t-“, Mako started to protest, but was cut off when Wu began his stride again, dragging him along the street. He tried to quell his panic, wanting anything but his friends to leap down there hastily. He could handle this- he just needed a bit more time.
”Now, I think we should find a decent point to declare this city’s new ruler. We can go to City Hall- a public assembly should be easy enough to gather with my talents. I’ll probably have to freeze the president, but, you know, necessities.”
“Wu-“
”Oh, and that name. I mean, it was nice while I had it, but that’s not who I am anymore. Someone at your station would call me ‘your highness’ but an exception can be made for you.”
”Wu- spirits- you don’t want to turn the president to gold! Just listen to me-“
The pressure on Mako’s wrist increased, and Wu’s smile dropped in an instant. “You know I love you, but you know you’re not exactly in a position to make requests. I’ll be happy to listen later, but right now I’m trying to do my job.”
“Please! Just- tell me where your object is- we can get you back to normal,” Mako pleaded, brushing off the disbelief at himself for using Bolin’s tactic. “This isn’t going to end well for anyone if you keep going. I know you know that!”
“Mako!” Wu shouted, his tone harshening into something unfamiliar. Mako jolted when he realized his feet were stuck to the ground. He looked down to see reflective gold rooting him to the spot. “You must stop arguing with me. Go with me, or stay here as a statue. Your choice, but that’s as far as my lenience will go.”
Mako clenched his jaw, his eyes darting around the robes, trying to find something significant. Anything significant at all. Transforming wouldn’t get him out of this mess- he had to be smart.
“Wait- I’ll go with you. I will, I’m sorry.” Uttering it made Mako want to hurl, but he needed more information. He hoped his friends could hear him.
”Hmmm. That’s what I thought,” Wu hummed, and the creeping gold quickly receded, letting Mako shake his feet out. “Not to worry. You’ve done a fine job protecting me in the past. It’s high time I return the favor.”
Wu began his stride again, and Mako had to hurry to keep up. He usually walked with a pseudo-haughty demeanor, but this was a full-on parade of privilege. This new Wu had no problem lifting his chin as high as he could without looking ridiculous, and all of his jewelry sparkled as he walked. That, coupled with his sterner than usual expression, remarkably gave off an air that was intimidating.
”So you…want to turn the president to gold?” Mako prompted.
”Yes. How else are people going to know that they have a new ruler?”
There were several leaps in logic there, but Mako would be remiss to point that out.
“My aunt claimed I was in no state to assume a position of power. She’s one to talk, though. She’s hardly the best queen ever. But no matter! She’s taken care of, and I’m proving that I am perfectly capable of commanding authority.” Wu chuckled contently at himself, then he looked down at Mako, his expression falling into a glare. “Wouldn’t you agree?”
Mako swallowed. “Yes- yeah- I agree- yeah.”
As they continued on, Mako couldn’t help but let his gaze drift to the rooftops, a prickling feeling on his neck. And there were certainly people there, but not his friends looking out for him. Instead, it was the force, peering down with equipment and weapons, getting clear looks at them with binoculars.
He wasn’t surprised. The force tended to intervene on many akuma incidents, and now that there was a “hostage” involved, they’d definitely be a little more hands-on. But he didn’t like the risks it posed. Mostly the chance that Wu would get mad and lash out.
Mako wished Korra had let him think through their plan a little longer.
Most likely Wu had already noticed the police. Mako just had to make sure a fight didn’t break out. Hopefully Lin had enough patience to keep her men where it was safe.
“Wu-“
Wu harshly cleared his throat.
Mako stifled any potentially insulting noise. “Your…Highness, um, you’re not planning on hurting anyone, are you? I mean, you need people to rule, after all. Right?”
”Of course I will do my best, Mako, but people must also learn to respect me. If they get in my way, I must silence their protests. It’s only natural.”
No, it wasn’t natural. Especially coming out of Wu’s mouth. Mako at least had to admit to himself that it was one of the things he admired most about Wu. He was pragmatic. He was the last person to make things happen by force, but trying to remind him of that seemed fruitless.
“What happened? When you were transformed…were you arguing with your aunt?”
”Mmh. Not arguing so much as being berated by her. Nothing new, but I’d had a particularly unpleasant day, and she was more grating than usual. The cow kept going on and on about my responsibilities and lack of ability. I suppose I just…had enough of it. Next thing I knew, I had these powers. And she shut up very quickly.” Wu’s hand twitched, and Mako looked at the fingers that bore at least a dozen rings on the gold surface.
Squinting at them, he scanned each of the rings until one pricked a memory at the back of his mind. It was a smoothie date…outing. One of many. Mako remembered the excited grasp of Wu’s hand- he’d grabbed one of Mako’s fingers and dragged his arm up and down. He had that ring on- the duller one, with a dark green gem.
That didn’t definitively mean that it was the object with the butterfly in it, but it was a solid contender.
Luckily, the police didn’t bother them all the way to City Hall. Less luckily, there was a higher concentration of people deeper into the city, and they were less able to flee the scene when a clear supervillain showed up.
The mass of people gave a wide berth to the regal figure strolling through them, forming a sort of natural pathway in the way he was headed. Mako kept his head ducked, partially out of embarrassment, but he didn’t want to instigate too much with the crowd. One wrong move, and everyone in the square could be frozen solid.
As they made their way through, people scrambled to get out of the area. However, branching gold wormed its way through the earth, slithering out to the edges of the square and mounting on itself, forming swift walls. People screamed and tried to haul over as it was rising, but it was too tall too quickly, and they all promptly became caged in.
Mako couldn’t do much but stare in horror, regretting his decisions.
“Now that that’s settled!” Wu said satisfactorily, clasping his hands together, which clinked. He then turned to the stairway of the town hall making his way up. Mako tried to duck into the crowd to lose attention so he could transform, but Wu went ahead and grabbed his wrist, bringing him up with him.
Walking through a crowd and being intimidating was not a crime. But entrapment most certainly was, and now, unfortunately, the police had a blatant excuse to dive in.
Helicopter sounds finally made their way over the clamor of the screaming crowd, and Mako looked up to see a few amassing, and ropes streaming down to release the troops. This, Mako realized, was not the police force at all, but Raiko’s recently commissioned force: the AEF. Akuma Extermination Faction- which was about as friendly as it sounded.
Lin had made the smart play in laying low and getting a read on the situation. But Mako should’ve known to not trust Raiko to do the same.
He also couldn’t trust Raiko to concoct an effective program either, because the moments their boots hit the ground and their guns were pointed, gold shot at them through the concrete, swiftly encasing their boots, then crawling up until all that was left was a screaming statue.
It took a second, but the troops got smart enough to not land, and instead hovered, dangling from their aircrafts, weapons still pointed.
“Release the hostages, or immediate action will be taken,” a stern voice declared from a speaker.
Wu’s brow creased. “Better idea: Raiko! Get out here or your citizens will be nothing more than decorations! We have business to discuss.”
Mako tried a small attempt in wrenching his arm free, but Wu held on tight, and Mako couldn’t hope to brute strength his way out of it when his friend had powers and he didn’t. He’d have to have a discussion with Korra about their planning skills when this whole mess was over. If it was ever going to be over. Mako didn’t like how seemingly everything was suddenly going wrong.
“Stand down- people could get hurt here. Raiko’s forces aren’t coordinated enough!” Mako threw out. He didn’t know what else to do- not yet, anyway.
”Standing down is weakness,” Wu declared, his nose and lip curling. His grip tightened and Mako grunted in pain. Then, louder, “Standing down is out of the question! I’d hurry, if I were you. The odds aren’t in your favor.”
”Well they’re not in your’s, either!”
Mako looked up as his friends, led by Korra, descended onto the top of the steps, nearly crashing down on them. However, Wu ducked out of the way and found himself on the midway point of the stairs. Mako, having been pulled back with him, was now dangling from Wu’s grip, hanging just over the lower stairs, his hand getting redder.
Korra spun her staff, letting it fall behind her in an intimidation position, her suit’s ears flat against her head. “Let him and the rest of these people go. Then we can get right down to brass tacks.”
She held up her hand, brandishing her ring. “This is what you want, right? These were part of the deal?”
Wu stared unblinkingly at the jewelry.
“Well then come and get them. If you win, then who’s to stop you?”
Wu sat in complete stillness and silence for a moment, practically a statue himself. Then, finally, he slumped a little, but a tight smile worked its way onto his face. “No, I don’t think so. I have a proposal of my own.”
Wu dragged Mako forward, showing him off to his friends. Mako tried to tug free, but to no avail. “Give me your jewelry. The longer you take, the more people get frozen. Starting with him.”
Wu shoved him onto his knees, and Mako was immediately locked there, gold replacing his jeans. “Hey! No!” he grunted, his eyes instinctively and desperately searching for a solution.
”Stand down! Last warning!” the speaker-voice called from behind.
”NO! Let him go!” Bolin shouted, lifting his shield. “Right now!”
Gold encased his legs- became his legs. Mako began to feel the imminent panic of not being able to breathe. He uselessly struggled against his constraints, trying to calm his heart rate. “Wu! Please! Listen to me-!”
”That is not my NAME!” he screamed, his hands curling. He lifted his arms, the grand sleeves of his robe billowing out. “Clearly I’m not bluffing! You may stand down now or face the consequences!”
Asami’s yo-yo began spinning into a blur. “I guess we’re doing this the hard way,” she breathed, eyes narrowing in concentration.
”Open fire!”
”Mako!”
”WU-!”
Mako didn’t have the chance to see it all play out. In the moment just before his friends leapt forward to fight, everything went black, and his body went numb.
——
When he came to, it wasn’t from a rescue.
Instead, when he collapsed, his limbs finally free, it was pretty easy to realize that- besides Wu- he was the only one unfrozen in the entire square.
The gold wall had extended upwards, curling in and forming a mass of finger-like spikes, curving inwards in an incomplete sphere. People littered the ground, suspended in various displays of screams and desperation.
His friends were locked in almost picturesque poses. Bolin was on the ground, curling behind his shield. Asami was next to him, her yo-yo outstretched, the winding string made mesmerizingly still. And between them, completing the huddle, was Korra, on one knee and one hand stretched into the sky. Around her hand, black energy of an impending Cataclysm was aloft, not having been able to be put to use.
Mako grunted, trying to suppress his horror. He shifted, his joints popping, and he was able to see Wu- not too far away from him, sitting on the steps. His straight posture and air of authority was gone, replaced with sullenness. He was hunched over, his hands supporting his head.
Mako took a shaky breath. “What are you doing?” he managed to rasp out.
”Oh, just, coming up with a plan. I have to unfreeze them at some point to get their Miraculous. I just want to be prepared,” he sighed.
“And you unfroze me…why?”
”For company. Surely you knew my suspending you forever was a bluff.”
”…Not…really..”
”Well,” Wu started, standing up, “now you know. Welcome to my council.”
Mako looked around, his mouth pinched into a thin line. “Not much of a kingdom, is it?”
”It will be better,” Wu responded quickly.
”Will it?” Mako tilted his head to look up at Wu from his curled position. His back ached when he tried to sit up. ”It’s the ring, isn’t it?”
Wu folded his hands over each other, resting them on his chest.
Mako adjusted with a grunt, turning to sit on the step. When he realized one arm was shaking, he twisted so Wu couldn’t see. “You know whatever your aunt says…doesn’t matter, right?”
”I know that,” Wu snapped, that unnatural aggression surfacing again. “It’s in the past. We shouldn’t discuss it.”
”We should,” Mako insisted, against his better judgment. “I can tell you’re fighting it- or else we wouldn't be having this conversation.”
”We won’t be soon if you keep pushing it.”
”I’m not scared of you, Wu. I could never be scared of you.”
”Excuse me?” Wu’s expression curled, scrunching into something sour and foreign to his face.
”Even if that butterfly’s pushing you to, you don’t want to. Hurt me, I mean. So I’m not scared of you, and I know I can talk you out of this.” Mako knew he was talking out of his ass, but he didn’t have much more than confidence at the moment.
“Watch your tone with me,” he hissed, leaning in and over. “I am not the pathetic boy you knew. I am a king, and you will treat me like such.”
”That’s what you think you are?” Mako huffed. “Pathetic? That’s not at all what you are, Wu.”
”Not anymore.”
“You weren’t before…this either. Wu, you are one of the most creative, caring people I know. If…if your aunt hated that, that’s her problem- not yours.”
”I know that!” Wu said shortly, waving him off, his large sleeve trailing behind the motion. “I don’t wish to talk about this anymore. Quiet, before I force you to be.”
”Let me help you.”
”No. I’m keeping you. My power- with you by my side- that will prove everything she has ever said about me to be foolish. I’m not letting it go just because you said so.”
“With me? What makes me so important?”
Wu’s face tightened, clearly holding in a stream of confession. “You’re not. I just happen to like having you around.”
“I don’t think that’s true.” Mako slowly stood, his mind slowly starting to click the pieces given to him together- like second nature. “I think you were antagonized by your aunt your whole life. I think…although I don’t know particularly why, this time pushed you over the edge. And that’s what the butterfly prayed on. It made that moral outrage you had ugly.”
Mako hobbled over to Wu, his joints still stiff. “But it’s not ugly. Hell, Wu, it’s one of the best things about you. You care, dude. A lot. Don’t let some thing take that away from you.”
Wu’s face relaxed from the enraged mask of insult, to something much more neutral and unreadable.
“Fine,” he hummed. “If you’re so desperate for the waste of space that I was, I can let you make a play for him. But if you lose, you stay with me. Forever, just like this.”
At least it was something. Mako swallowed. “Fine.”
”Very well, then.” Wu held out his glittering hand. “Take the right ring. And you can have him back.”
Mako tentatively stepped forward, his brow furrowed. He shifted his weight between his legs, eyeing the green-gem ring.
Wu would think it was a simple answer. Mako was observant. He knew what he has seen before, and he’d take that to its logical conclusion.
But what did it mean to Wu? His friend had always worn a strong variety of jewelry, each on his person simply for the fact that it was pretty. But he never talked about them like they meant something.
Except for one piece- one he wore only once, and simply because he had to. It was for a political event. One that a foreign prince, who’s tenure in Republic City hinged on his education, would be obligated to go to.
A brooch his aunt had forced him to wear to look presentable.
And there it was, on his robe. Mako forced himself to not look directly at it, and instead feigned scanning the rings. Even if Wu wanted out, the butterfly wasn’t going to let him. If Mako simply pointed at or grabbed the brooch, Wu would fight back and stop him in an instant.
Mako took a deep breath and slid the green-gem ring off of Wu’s finger.
Wu let out a low, pitying note. “I’m afraid that’s the wrong one, Mako.”
“I’m sorry this happened.”
”Excuse me?”
”I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve to be targeted for all this. Not just your aunt, but so many people. It’s unfair.”
”For…this…?”
”For who you are. You- underneath all this…gold- you’re incredibly compassionate, innovative and empathetic. Everyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
”Sweet, but meaningless now.”
”I don’t think so.” In a swift motion, Mako snatched the brooch, ripping the opulent fabric of the robe. Wu screamed, lunging forward in rage. But his surprise made him too slow, and Mako whipped around, throwing the brooch away from the stairs.
It landed against Korra’s hand, right into the Cataclysm.
The brooch dissolved into black dust, and an aura of dark energy surrounded Wu, releasing him. He fell from his tall perch, and Mako caught him- the real him.
Wu opened his eyes. Green. “Mako?” he breathed wistfully. He tilted his head. “Where am I? Am I dead?”
Mako rolled his eyes, sighing fondly.

[Review] Sonic Adventure (PC)
A highly successful revamp.
Before getting to Frontiers and Shadow Generations, I decided I should go back and finally complete my Sonic homework by checking out the Dreamcast era properly for the first time. Adventure was a big revamp for the series after several false starts. Sonic Team struggled to bring Sonic to 3D, but in the end as a Dreamcast launch window title Adventure made a splash and is still remembered fondly. But what did I think of it as a certified Boost enjoyer?
I have played a bit of Adventure before during a stream. Loaded up with mods I sampled parts here and there, and played Gamma's story. This time I wanted the full unmodded experience. That's not to say it's the original experience, mind you: the version available for sale on Steam is regarded as a shoddy port of a shoddy port, as it's based on the Gamecube "DX Director's Cut" version, which changes a lot of textures, lighting, and graphical effects. Many fans consider these changes for the worse (some alterations even messed up intended gameplay or lore), and there's mods to revert the look of the game to the cleaner Dreamcast appearance. I didn't think it was a huge deal while playing but looking through comparisons afterwards, I reckon the reversion mods truly are the best way to play.
Regardless, Sonic Adventure is impressively ambitious. I now understand what games like 06 and Unleashed were striving for and missing the mark! Yes it's janky and the camera sucks but the characters generally control well and the level design suits their playstyles. The cutscenes and voice acting are awkward and stilted but there's a cinematic pretension that comes through anyway. Most importantly the game passes the vibe check with flying colours, this thing has heart!
The story plays out over a series of six (plus one) campaigns told from different characters' perspectives. There's a nonlinear storytelling thing going on and you (the player) piece together the full events by playing each one, even if the characters themselves never really get together to work things out. It all revolves around the watery monster Chaos and the lost history of the echidna people, although Robotnik/Eggman's scheming is the primary motivator. My favourite parts were the surprisingly touching story of Gamma, and Amy's role which is maybe her strongest appearance in... any Sonic game ever? After her campaign in this game I'm even more baffled how the writers could have gone so wrong with her for so many years.
Between stages the adventure hubs serve as a little breather, and flesh out the world without being overwhelming. Mystic Ruins is the standout here being large and fun to get around, taking great influence from the dev team's research trip to South America (they even took reference photos that were converted to textures in the game!), while Station Square feels like a good approximation of a lively city street within Dreamcast limitations. Talking to NPCs gives you little snippets of flavour that advance as you progress the plot... I just wish they'd actually used the face buttons they had instead of binding interact on the same button as "attack", which makes things awkward. By the way, Sonic has a spin dash in this game although you rarely need it.
Sonic's speed feels well balanced with the environments; it's a wonder what decent level design can do. His story is the longest, while the others remix the existing levels to various degrees. Tails gloriously breaks the level design by flying, and his stages play out as races against another character to get to the goal. Knuckles is more of a collectathon in enclosed arenas; I really liked the pace of his gameplay combined with his climbing and gliding powers. Amy sadly feels clumsy to control but her levels have an interesting idea in trying to escape an invincible and implacable robot. Big the Cat debuts here with a goofy storyline and a fishing minigame that I didn't find that fun but is mostly optional.
Gamma rounds out the cast as a defecting badnik with a lock-on gun, and of course Super Sonic finishes things with an epic setpiece fight which is thankfully quite breezy (later Sonic games make this kind of fight overly difficult or complex, to their detriment). Occasionally a subgame like car racing or snowboarding will break up the action, but they're pretty shallow. The casino level has you playing janky pinball to earn rings, one with a slot machine theme [cringe] while the other is a pleasing love letter to Sonic Team's previous game Nights. The Panzer Dragoon-like rail shooter segments have incredibly twitchy controls for some reason which rather ruins them, but like most things they're not too difficult; with this game I never found myself in a spiral of dying and having to repeat sections (a notable exception to this is the awful final boss of Sonic's story, a long and boring fight with janky difficulty spikes). Again it's odd that the balance is well considered here when it is so out of whack in some later entries.
The game feels very free and open, and you're able to easily revisit prior levels just by going there from the hub. Sometimes it's unclear exactly what to do next but talking to wandering folks (we're in a world of humans for the first time, but they're cartoony enough that they feel natural) or the helpful glowing orb (it's in fact Tikal, please bring back Tikal) will usually get you back on track. It really feels like an adventure, which was a totally new approach for Sonic at this time.
There's a lot more to the package than the story modes too. They tacked on Missions and Trials to extend the playtime if you want more, but I didn't feel I needed to. You can do extra objectives for emblems or find them in the hub, and there's even optional equipment that enhances your abilities to reward exploring. Between levels you can also visit the Chao garden, a popular feature that expands on Nights's A-Life system by letting you raise cute critters and race them or something? As with Nights, it's completely optional... I found it too fiddly and unrewarding so I just ignored it! To its credit the game never forced me to engage with it.
I already praised the vibes and recommended the Dreamcast graphic mods, but aesthetically the game does look very good. Well, apart from the character animation in cutscenes which is quite wonky. The soundtrack is pleasant and spans various genres; special mention must also be made of the vocal themes. Every character gets their own, from Sonic's buttrock to a goofy duet for Big and Froggy. My favourites were Tails' upbeat poppy number and Knuckles' famous rap, but all of them are fun especially when you hone in on the lyrics which describe the character and what they're about. It's silly but so charming.
I was honestly dreading going back to these older 3D games after the rollercoaster ride I've been on, but Adventure was a pleasant surprise. It's true I've used the word "jank" several times in this review and it can't be denied, this game is a bit messy at times. But compared to some other Sonic games I've played it's a stone cold masterpiece! Either way, I do get why it's beloved, it's a soulful game, a deserved killer app for the Dreamcast (RIP), and a worthy 3D debut that successfully revamped the franchise and set the tone for the next decades.

Buddy put the idea of a Transformers AU for my Hell Week OCs in my head and I want to geek out about it for a second
Lady Luna: Direwolf alt mode. The face of a small team of Autobots, although most of the actual leadership duties are done by Doctor Dalmatian, who helped her organise the team in the first place
Gepetto: Jet (I'm thinking something like Brainstorm's alt mode). He's the only flier of the team. Has the ability to control the bodies of other Cybertronians, rarely uses this power unless necessary. Other people claim he'd be more suited to being a Decepticon, but Gepetto is firmly against this.
Harley 'Taser' Hofelder: Minicon scientist
Black Mamba: Alt mode unknown*. Outlier ability caused by exposure to cosmic rust - His hands + arms are rusted all the way to the elbow, and although he's now immune to cosmic rust himself, he can still infect other metal. Just like the regular version, he operates from the shadows accruing power for himself. (*I'm torn between making him a vehicle or some kind of big snake creature)
Crono Sector: Tank. Intelligence officer by day, and still Black Mamba's main enforcer by night
Boogie Man: Alt mode also unknown (he keeps it a secret), but debated among other bots. He's a cassette carrier, with his robot python becoming one of his cassettes
Nocturne: Bat alt mode, of course
Trencher: Angler fish/shark inspired alt mode. A scavenger who became techno-organic as a result of an accident while diving. His smuggling skills have been put to good use now that he's under Black Mamba's boot. Would definitely have interacted with Swindle
#OC#Transformers#I'd like to come up with TF-sounding names for them all in this AU but that'll take some more time#I looooove Transformer Black Mamba he's so cool to me#edit: this is not all my Hell Week OCs btw! Just the ones I have ideas for so far

aaaaaaaa s10 of doctor who my beloved
i am six episodes in and
good fucking lord
look, is it a little heavy handed, a little less subtle than i might like, a little bit jumpscary? yes
is it also incredible and delightful and hijink-y and fun and silly and very very serious on the occasion? also yes
yes, bill's crush becomes a puddle who tries to kidnap her, but look, it's a story about momentary connections to people and letting them go when you're ready to move on and also spaceship oil lesbians
yes, there are emoji murder robots, but let's talk about how humanity sometimes expects everything to serve it and how they react when something goes wrong with that, and how fear begets cruelty where it isn't due and also how from an outside perspective grief is the most horrible thing in the world
yes, there is a giant fish in the thames and it's 1814, but look, we're here to examine how much the doctor loves showing people time and space and remind him why he does what he does and what grief feels like and why sometimes moving on too fast is bad
yes, bill and her new roommates have a serious roach problem, not to mention the walls eating people, but focus for a second on learning to let go of the past instead of keeping it frozen, on letting the people you care about make their own choices instead of deciding what's best for them
yes, capitalist air zombie space suit people, but let's have a conversation about how the bottom like of capitalism is human life developing a price, is selling people every last thing they need to live and how you can always do something with your life, even when it seems like everyone else controls it
(also, let's talk about how much the doctor loves his companions, about what he's willing to sacrifice to keep them safe, about how he always has to be the one who's okay, about how he does tell bill a joke before he goes)
yes, it's all a dream (do hate that trope) and there is madness inducing term paper that makes people realize they're in a simulation, but what about the fact that the point is that it doesn't matter, because even if it is you can still do something, about virtue without hope without witness without reward, about the doctor calling bill at the end and not saying 'i know how this ends, i know how this always ends, and you won't let me leave you behind and i need you there but be happy first, please, take that step because you might not have another one and i'm so, so sorry, and i want you to be happy for as long as you can'
god

#prolly will do the rest of the episodes when i watch them#i love this season so much#doctor who#twelfth doctor#bill potts#doctor who s10

▷Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 4
Chapter 3 — Chapter 4 — Chapter 5
With the beginning of the next day, Evil slowly opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, questioning his own existence, guided by a feeling from the depths of his heart. He got out of bed and walked to the kitchen, where he drank a glass of orange juice. The angel went to Sasha's room, but she wasn't there. Faced with this, Evil hurried to dress and went out to look for her, finding her sitting on the sand in front of the house, playing a lyre made of water. Sasha was completely immersed in her music and Evil, more relaxed, walked towards her.
—You play very well. —He remarked, sitting down beside her and observing the musical instrument. The girl turned to look at him, somewhat surprised as she hadn't noticed his presence.
—Thank you, I love music. —Said in a pleasant tone before directing her gaze toward the sea. —By the way, I figured out why I lost my scales yesterday.
—Oh, really? Why was that? —asked, standing up and also staring at the ocean.
—It's because I was dry. Without a wet or at least humid body, my scales vanish to blend in with the human species. —She explained before looking up at Evil from below, losing concentration and causing her instrument to turn into a puddle of water.
—I understand. — Said the Angel noticing what happened with the lyre. —Is there something wrong?
—I lost my concentration a bit. I'm still not very skilled with my powers. —said the girl in a more serious tone.
—Well, I could help you. I have trained with the element of water before. —he suggested in a friendly manner, seeing her seriousness and intending to get closer to her.
—Yes, I noticed that yesterday! I would really like to know how much you can do. —said cheerfully, showing a wide smile, causing her face to blush. Evil noticed this and, standing by the sea, moved his arms to control the water, forming a flower.
—Join your hands —instructed Sasha, who did so without hesitation, feeling a comforting sensation. Then, Evil carefully placed the rose in her hands. With each passing second, Sasha blushed more, and her heartbeats quickened. Evil gently blew on the flower, freezing it. The mermaid was left fascinated by what she saw.
—Amazing!, it is... so beautiful —expressed, looking at Evil as he stood up again.
—It's for you, keep it.
—Thank you very much... I'll take good care of it. —said with a smile and a joyful expression, it was ironic how that cold object gave her such a warm feeling, this man was making her feel things she had never felt, did this mean this was an opportunity to escape from the burden of her past?
—By the way, Today, I'll go fishing again, but this time, I'll bring back enough food for several days. —Before Sasha could answer, both of them heard a sudden and violent noise coming from the ocean. They noticed a gigantic shark-like creature emerging from the waters, its skin mostly gray but with strange blue lights highlighting various parts of its body, like its dorsal fin and around its eyes. Evil gave Sasha a cold look, she understood and ran towards the house, however, she remained by the front door. The large beast opened its mouth, releasing a series of individuals in technological suits which had containers filled with water and had holographic panels on the facial area. The strange seven individuals walked on the water's surface until they were in front of Evil.
—Who are you supposed to be? —Evil asked threateningly, with an angry expression on his face.
—That's the question we should be asking you. —man at the front replied in a robotic voice, with an offensive tone as he confronted Evil. —We come on behalf of King Dand, ruler of the Fangs kingdom.
—I see. Let me guess, those suits allow you to survive on the surface, right? —Evil pointed, smiling manically as he thought about ways to punish them. The men around him took out something like a handle from which two coral blades emerged from both ends, forming a double-edged sword.
—Lower your weapons —ordered the one who seemed to be the leader of the group. —Sir, we demand that you identify yourself. You've been seen swimming in our waters aggressively and hunting our people.
—It's called hunger. If you guys spend your time devouring seaweed, that's not my problem. —replied sarcastically and mockingly, but then returned to his serious expression. —My name is Evil, now get out of my beach.
—Listen, Mr. Evil, these are our waters, and if you do not obey our laws we'll--
—You'll what?! —Evil shouted with a deep and strident voice, tired of this nonsense, interrupting the captain while the sand under the demigod's feet spun in circles. The group's leader remained calm while the rest were already in combat positions. As this happened, Sasha was worried and frightened because she knew about the strength of the Fangs realm.
—It was a pleasure negotiating with you, Mr. Evil. —All individuals returned inside the beast and departed the same way they came. After this, Evil turned and walked toward the house. Sasha immediately hugged him, and he noticed the girl was trembling.
—What's wrong? —he asked, concerned, placing one of his hands on her head and looking into her eyes.
—You shouldn't have angered them, they are very powerful and can easily destroy us! —she said, trying to explain her concern to Evil. However, her voice broke in the process, and her eyes became teary with growing fear.
—Hey, hey, calm down. They won't do anything, we are safe. —He said, placing his hand behind her head and leaning it against his chest to comfort her. —Everything will be alright, I'll protect you. Trust me. —he said with a gentle voice, trying to make her feel more relaxed.
It seemed to work, Sasha closed her eyes and enjoyed the peace that Evil provided. Evil carried her in his arms and placed her on her bed.
—Rest a bit, you need it. I'll take care of dinner, alright?
—O-ok. —replied with a small smile. After this, Evil walked out while Sasha gradually felt more tired, finally falling asleep.
Evil rushed to the sea, dove in, and, using his powers, propelled himself at high speeds into the vast ocean and its depths. After a few minutes, he stopped and created a bubble around himself. Suddenly, a crab-like man about 4 meters tall emerged, breaking the bubble by hitting it. Then, he threw another punch at Evil with his large pincer, but Evil easily stopped it with one hand and tossed him forward, causing the monster to crash into a rock. Evil created another bubble and approached the creature, which began to mutate back into a more human-like and smaller form but retaining some crab-like features on his body.
—Why are you attacking me? Who or what are you? —Evil asked the pained individual.
—Don't you recognize me? Monster! I was there yesterday when you attacked my friends!
—Friends? What do you mean?
—Don't play dumb! —he shouted angrily at Evil, who was now confused.
—Listen, I don't come from this place, and I don't know what you're talking about. —The guy sighed and replied, still full of rage.
—I don't know where you're from, but it seems like you don't know much about life at all. Don't you know that most of the animals in the universe are Shapeshifting Animals? You killed and took away my friends!
—Oh, well that's interesting... I'm sorry. I didn't know, but I needed to eat, so... —Evil apologized, even though he wasn't really sorry.
—You can keep the apologies. This is my revenge! —At that moment, a series of enormous chains began to attach themselves to Evil, causing him to sink faster into the depths, leaving him trapped at the bottom of the ocean.

Ivan: The Unbreakable Hero, Mineral -His quirk allows him to turn his entire body into any stone of his choosing, from gravel to obsidian -It depends on the amount of energy he has, so there are energy bars in his support belt -His stone body acts as armor, so his real body won't sustain any damage -Ivan's quirk is best suited for Defense
Myléne: The Fear Hero, Horrifica -Myléne's quirk can turn her into a person's worst fear. And she knows what that person's fear is by making eye contact for three minutes -Once she knows your fear, she can turn into it again in the future -This quirk is best suited for Social and/or Offense
Juleka: The Redundant Hero, Replica -Juleka can create multiple copies of herself who all follow her directions -However, they only last about ten minutes and disappear soon after in a puff of pink smoke -Her only drawback is exhaustion from creating so many doubles of herself -Her quirk is best suited for Rescue
Rose: The Hypnosis Hero: Allure -Rose can emit a cloud of perfume that, when inhaled, can put a person under her control and make them say or do anything she wants them to -However, they need to be able to do whatever she wants them to do -So, if Rose were to have them do a backflip, they need to know how to do a backflip, otherwise they'll just keep flopping on the floor until they get it right or the perfume wears off -Her only drawback is that the perfume gives her skin a green tint -Rose's quirk is best suited for Social heroism
Sabrina: The Deep Dive Hero, Empath -Sabrina's quirk allows her to do a deep-dive into someone's subconscious and learn everything there is to know about that person so she can use the information later by looking through and experiencing their memories -She can also feel exactly what that person was feeling depending on the memory she's experiencing, so it takes a toll on her mental health from time to time -Her quirk is best suited for any Off Field position
Chloé: The Bossy Hero, Generalette -Her commanding voice allows her to put people around her under control and have them fight for her -Her quirk is call and response, so as long as someone responds to her, she can make them do whatever she wants them to -The only drawback is loss of her voice after too much usage -Quirk is best suited for Defense
Class 1-B
Aurore: The Weather Hero, Forecast -Her Quirk is tied to her emotions, but over time, she's learned to have better control -Able to control the weather at will, Aurore is a force to be reckoned with -Her quirk was discovered at the age of four when she dropped her ice cream and almost caused a flood -The only drawback is catching a cold when she causes it to rain -Quirk is best-suited for Rescue
Mireille: The Invisible Hero, Prism -Mireille is able to bend light around herself at will and become invisible -She can do this with organic and inorganic objects as well -Quirk was discovered at age 5 when her mom lost her in the mall. Turns out, she was walking next to her the whole time -No drawbacks have been discovered yet -Quirk is best-suited for Recon
Marc: The Scribe Hero, Rewrite -Marc can alter reality simply by writing what he would like to happen -This doesn't affect his writing for stories or school work, he just needs to tap into his Quirk when he actually wants to use it -His only limit is his imagination and if he has a paper and pen on him. Also, if he wants a person to do something, he needs to know their full name -Quirk is best-suited for Support or Social Heroism
Denise: The Strong Hero, Surface Breaker -Born with incredible strength to rival even All Might's -They can life over five hundred tons without breaking a sweat -Their skin is also incredible durable that not even a cannonball will leave a mark on them. It'll break the second it touches the surface of their skin -The only drawback is muscle cramps, so they need to drink a lot of water -Quirk was discovered at age 3 when a villain tried to kidnap Denise and ended up being embedded in the road -Quirk is best suited for Defense and/or Rescue Heroism
Simon: The Electric Hero, Techno Lord -Simon has elektrokinesis and the power of seven Tokyos combined from absorbing the energy from phones and computers -While this quirk is powerful, the only drawback is that he needs to release that energy so he doesn't suffer from a burnout -You'll know they're absorbing energy when lights begin to flicker on and off -A human taser, able to send waves of electricity to stun an opponent for a period of time based on how much electricity they send out -Quirk is best suited for Defense Heroism
Jean: The Broadway Hero, Drama Queen -This guy is a walking stage, able to pull people around him into a show-stopping musical number complete with music, costumes, and choreography that he has planned out all in his head from watching musical bootlegs -All of this is done by him singing a Broadway song that would be best suited for the battle, and it has this almost hypnotic effect -This allows him to apprehend his opponent without fighting (Unless there's a fight scene in the song) or causing any sort of damage -Once the song ends, everything goes back to normal, and Jean has apprehended his opponent -Their quirk is a little too Generalist to be labeled as On or Off field, but they are close to Defense
Reshma: The Diamond Hero, Gem Knight -Reshma is able to turn her arms into swords made out of diamonds -The diamonds are nearly-unbreakable, only able to be broken by Reshma or Denise -Reshma has been experimenting with different swords to turn her arms into, and even discovered that she could create a shield from her forearm, and produce diamond armor -Quirk is best suited for Defense
Ismael: The Teleporting Hero, Over There -Ismael can teleport to any part of the world as long as he knows what the particular area he's trying to teleport to looks like -This requires a good memory, but he can also use photos in case he hasn't been to certain places -Quirk is best suited for Recon and/or Rescue
Cosette: The Shapeshifting Hero, Unique -Cosette can shapeshift their entire or parts of their body, making them look like a completely different person or even an inorganic object -The only drawback is that full-on shapeshifting leaves them exhausted, so they require a lot of rest after taking on a number of forms -If she is only shifting parts of her body, then a ten minute rest is only needed -Quirk is best suited for Recon
Lacey: The Climbing Hero, Mountaineer -Lacey can climb or walk on any surface no matter how wet, slippery, or sticky thanks to a mutation in her hands and feet that allows her to adapt to any surface she climbs on -Wearing gloves or shoes hinders quirk usage, so gloves and shoes made from the skin cells on her hands and feet will allow her to be able to climb surfaces without the worry of stepping on a nail or pricking her finger -She isn't weighed down by anything she's carrying until she's back on the ground -Quirk is best suited for Rescue
Zoé: The Borrowing Hero, Quirk Master -Zoé's Quirk allows her to steal borrow quirks from people and then hand them back after she's done with them -She needs five-finger contact with the person whose quirk she's borrowing, and an understanding of how the quirk works -Her support gear includes a small tablet which allows her to scan a person and figure out their quirk so she can use it properly -Drawbacks are the same as the person whose quirk she's using -Quirk is Generalist

Astrology for Horse Jugglers
Sometimes your friend has a birthday so you have to do something ridiculous about it. Say happy birthday to @ceilingfan5 (for yesterday) and enjoy some mildly(?) unhinged Taakitz shenanigans!
-
“Yeah, fish magnetism research is incredibly important right now my guy, we’re revolutionising the industry. Doesn’t harm the seabed at all and you can just schlorp the fish you want straight out of the water as long as you set the master fish magnet to the right frequency.” Taako nodded sagely and took another swig of his secon… vth free glass of fizz, but truly who was counting? Not Taako, that’s for sure. Weddings were all about love baby, love, free tiny fancy drinks, and getting to say absolute bullshit to strangers because anyone that would actually try and stop him was too busy being gross somewhere else.
“That’s fascinating, Greg, how do you get the magnets in the fish?” Hurley’s third cousin twice removed was eating this up and Taako was thriving. He loved to perform, was the thing, and an hours long secret audience participation improv show? That was tap shoes, baby, and Taako was dancing.
“Well, that’s a great question, Max, not everyone would think to ask it. We actually use laser darts!”
“Laser darts?” Max leaned forward, enthralled. Of course he was, Taako was at his loom weaving laser magnet fish blankets for everyone.
“They’re really small magnets, you see, tiny, but they’re super powerful. Have you heard of keyhole surgery?” Taako waited for Max to nod his affirmation. “Well, we’ve got this robot submarine with a laser powered blowgun…” Taako was rudely interrupted by the announcement that the dining room was finally ready. He promised Max that he’d definitely finish explaining later and was gathered up as the hungry mass of guests descended and swept them along through the doors.
–
Taako folded himself into his chair and tried not to look as sullen as he felt. He knew that they wouldn’t be able to sit the whole family together, but Taako on his own in a sea of distant relatives? Rude! Lup was allowed to sit with Barry, and Magnus and Julia were together, he checked, just so he knew how spiteful to be about it. Lucretia, Dav, and Merle were together too and Taako was fine missing out on that, but surely they could have swapped a family friend for him and allowed him some twin time? But no, apparently he was capable of handling himself, happy to be on his own, that’s Taako. Single Taako who was completely and utterly fine about it.
The scutch of strangers he’d be making awkward small talk with filtered in slowly and nodded politely to Taako as they continued their conversations. He definitely didn’t make a note of the fact they all seemed to know each other. What did he do to piss off the seating plan gods? Or, more specifically, Sloane.
The pondering ended pretty quickly when the seat next to him was pulled out and Taako turned to be greeted by a particularly delicious pair of thick, suit-challenging thighs. Taako didn’t really want to look higher, the view was great, A+ +, 10/10 no notes, but he forced himself to anyway. Gotta be polite. He didn’t regret it. Mr Next Seat Over was ‘pair of disposable gloves come with your chicken wings because we can’t trust you not to touch your face afterwards, idiot’ hot. Taako reversed the curses he may or may not have placed on Sloane and Hurley (to start from after their honeymoon, he was considerate like that). Hot boy sat in the seat elegantly and Taako resisted the impulse to engage immediately.
He resisted the impulse badly. Taako’s impulse control wasn’t great, it turned out. C- - -, in fact, but the guy sat down and didn’t introduce himself so what else could Taako do? There was a thing called manners and Taako had them. Sometimes. Probably. As long as you didn’t ask for references.
“Hail and well met…” Taako peered at the little wooden name plate Magnus had painstakingly etched everyone’s names into, oh no, that meant he had to lean in and press himself right into the man’s personal space. What a shame.“... Kravitz. What-ho!”
Kravitz, thankfully, didn’t look angry. In fact, he turned in his seat and grinned. “Ahoy-hoy.” Kravitz pretended to answer what Taako could only assume was an imaginary telephone. “To whom am I speaking?” Kravitz kept hold of the imaginary receiver and quirked an eyebrow at Taako. Oh, oh hot boy wanted to play, did he? Taako could play.
“Avast ye, matey! ‘Tis ol’ Taako from the depths of the sea, I’ve got you on my line now.”
“Sorry mate, wrong number.” Kravitz, inexplicably cockney now, hung up. “Sorry,” he grimaced to Taako, “I think that was a s-clam call, and my Mums always told me I had to hang up on those. Mind you, they also told me not to answer the phone at the table, so maybe I should have tried to counter-seduce the pirate.” He looks thoughtful for a moment, then continues. “Anyway, I’m Kravitz, pleased to meet you.” He held out a hand to shake. Taako fist bumped it, Kravitz was the best amount of hinged (un), and he didn't know it yet but they were friends now. Well, at least for the duration of the wedding. Surprise, Taako's your problem now...

Love, Death + Robots : Volume 1
The animation were incredible and so different from each other.
But the show should have been named "Kill, Death + Robots".
My favorite one was again the three robots exploring the apocalyptic earth and lucky thirteen wasn't that bad at all.
So here a review for each episode :
Three robots (1x01) : I love those three robots, the way they are discovering each human tradition was well done. I really liked the part about the cats being the god of them all. It's also the fragility of the human race.
Beyond the Aquila rift (1x02) : The animation was amazing. From the beginning you know that it will end badly. It's the idea of what's real. Terrible story, I really didn't expect that.
Ice age (1x03) : The only episode with true actors. I also liked the mini world in the freezer, being the repetition of the same story, the same cycle.
Sonnie's edge (1x04) : It's about monster fight in a pit controlled by human. The end is really unexpected.
When the yogurt took over (1x05) : the story was very stupid and ridiculous, but I liked the demolition of human satellite.
The secret war (1x06) : It was the best SGI animation from the entire volume, every detail was so well done. However, the characters should have spoken in Russian and at the end, the episode became too much like a video game.
Sucker of souls (1x07) : I was sure from the first moment of the episode that it will concern vampires, but I don't understand what they were looking in the first place, in this tomb? Also, why Gary has a girl's voice, that doesn't make sense. And I really liked the importance of cats in this episode too.
The witness (1x08) : Every animation is different, this one was very different from the other, like animation on drugs too. Why there isn't any one in this town? Why the man has the key of the flat? It seems that the two of them are stuck in a loop in which he killed her and the other she killed him.
Suits (1x09) : Poor cows. It was honestly a weak episode. What was the point of it?
Good hunting (1x10) : First of all why the characters do not speak in Mandarin? And why it couldn't be a love story between Jan and Ling instead of this horrible story, even if the end is good.
The dump (1x11) : Is about a monster who survive on garbage, I called it "le monstre des poubelles".
Shape-Shifters (1x12) : I really hate war, but I think they want to show us, who are the real animal during war?
Fish night (1x13) : From the beginning, there was a foreshadowing of what will become later in the episode. The animation with the ocean sea was amazing, the desert becomes a sea of glowing fishes. It also shows us that the young boy becomes a fish, suggesting his descent to death.
Helping hand (1x14) : The episode was disgusting, but I presume it's about surviving and not dying in the atmosphere.
Alternate histories (1x15) : If only an application like this could exist. It's called multiversity.
Lucky 13 (1x16) : The story in itself was a bit sad, but cute. The ship sacrifice itself.
Blindspot (1x17) : The only episode with a happy ending I presume, but it's a shame that we don't know why this microchip is so important.
Zima Blue (1x18) : The episode with a bittersweet ending, the last art of Zima, beneficing himself at the end.
Some quotes:
"- You've seen one post-apocalytic city, you've seen 'em all." (Robot 1 - 1x01)
"- No. Indeed, it was their own hubris that ended their reign, their belief that they were the pinnacle of creation that caused them to poison the water, kill the land and choke the sky. In the end, no nuclear winter was needed, just the long heedless autumn of their own self-regard. (Pyramid robot) - Are you okay? (Orange robot) - Yeah, sorry. Thought that would sound better than, "Nah, they just screwed themselves by being a bunch of morons." (Pyramid robot - 1x01)
"- And what makes you so special? - I'm not special. Unique." (1x04)
"- Now, hate that was something I had to learn. You don't come into this world with hate." (1x04)
"- Everyone sees what they want to see." (1x04)
"- Do try to at least act excited. (Doctor) - Mercenaries are like hookers, pretending to be excited costs extra." (Mr. Flynn - 1x07)
"- Well, at least I'll die young and beautiful." (1x09)
"- You know what I think? It's all in the attitude. The right attitude can sell anything." (Young boy - 1x13)
"- God damn company penny pinchers, am I right? (Bill) - Why pay two when one'll do?" (Astronaut - 1x13)
"- I had to make a wee sacrifice to the great nothing." (Astronaut - 1x14)
"- In spite of all his success, Zima was still dissatisfied and what he did next was, for many, too extreme a sacrifice to make for art." (Clare - 1x18)
"- But you're a man with machine parts, not a machine that thinks it's a man. (Clare) - Sometimes, it's difficult even for me to understand what I've become. And harder still to remember what I once was." (Zuma - 1x18)

~Excessively Twee Skyrim Headcanons: Riften Edition~
Despite his unassuming look, Aerin is a brilliant martial artist. He rescued Mjoll from Mzinchaleft by beating up a handful of Dwemer spheres, dropping a cauldron over their centurion's head and sneaking her out while the giant automaton was stumbling around like a blind, helpless, cauldron-wearing robot.
Aerin hasn't told this secret to anybody, but he found something in Mzinchaleft: a small bronze amulet, once worn by a powerful tonal architect. Wearing the amulet and using the secret trigger phrase "Aetherium spark on! Suit up! Combat Striker Bronzenizer!" allows him to materialise a suit of enchanted Dwemer armour, seemingly from out of nowhere, which is wonderful for saving carry weight.
Despite siding with the Stormcloaks, Jarl Laila is firmly against Nord-supremacy. She challenged Ulfric publicly once over his refusal to let Argonians live in Windhelm. Ulfric immediately brushed her off and started talking to someone else, and Laila didn't get another chance to talk to him for months, but she felt good about having tried.
On the surface of it, Maven doesn't seem to want her daughter Ingun to be an alchemist. Under the surface, Maven is carefully tailoring every word she says to keep Ingun timid enough to be controlled, yet independent enough to study alchemy and feel good about "getting away with it". Ultimately, Maven wants Ingun to awaken her talents and become the Black-Briar family's pet poisoner, and she'll always support Ingun's decision to do what she wants.
Um, excessively twee? Was that excessively twee? No, we need something nice, something... Ah! Here we are. Valindor is teaching Marise Aravel how to climb trees, a skill she's found indispensible for escaping from angry ice wraiths who'd like to keep their teeth.
Marise's family were the sorts of people who show their affection with food, and the importance of eating stuck with her all her life. She has been known to pester her friends, in particular Shadr, about eating a balanced diet; not just her beautifully preserved meat, fish, apples and vegetables, of course, you also need bread and cheese. And the occasional juniper berry crostata.
Bolli sometimes comes home from cheating on Nivenor with Haelga just when Nivenor is coming home from cheating on Bolli with Romlyn, Tythis, Niluvia, Hofgrir and/or Haelga. They don't say anything or even look each other in the eye, just share a bottle of mead and go to bed.
Marise has either a buzz cut or an enormous coiled-up pair of twin-tails under her hat, and she isn't in any hurry to reveal which one. Shadr might know, but he isn't telling.
Sapphire buys a lot of poison from Ingun, and the two of them have sort of become friends. Sapphire is particularly interested in an invention Ingun has been working on: long-lasting venomous nail varnish.
Wujeeta and From-Deepest-Fathoms are enjoying an on-and-off relationship. Fathoms is usually busy juggling her two part-time jobs, as a fisherwoman and a treasure hunter, but she appreciates the nights spent snuggling up with Wujeeta in the bunkhouse. Wujeeta looks up to Fathoms and wants to become a stronger person, or at least a person who isn't addicted to skooma, for her sake. Could they find peace and happiness together? We can hope so; it is Mara's city, after all...
Speaking of Mara, her loyal priest Maramal is insufferable. When Grelka got a tummy ache from some cheap horker stew, he told her it was a punishment from Mara. When bandits attacked Shor's Stone, dug up the smelter and carried it to their hideout, he said it was a punishment from Mara. He once said, completely straight-faced, that Mara had ended the Oblivion Crisis by beating Mehrunes Dagon senseless with a rolling pin. Mara has apparently blocked him on tumblr.
Laila once tried to hold a multi-faith event in Mistveil Keep. Unmid was furious: "Our boys in bear costumes have been fighting for the freedom to worship Talos! How could you think of inviting people into our city to worship some other made-up gods?!"
Maramal was more agreeable to the idea, with some reservations: "...And I'm sure all our guests will be delighted to hear the Word of Mara, that She is the one true Lady of Love, above all other gods, won't they? I'm so happy that those poor, deluded fools will finally be able to accept Lady Mara into their hearts! Mara, from whose radiant body all magic flows and whose heart gives Red Mountain its fire! Mara, Lady of Dawn and Dusk, of Life and Death, whose breath is Long Winter..."
"Just one good punch in the mug! Just one!" screamed Azura, reaching down into Nirn while Mephala and Boethiah desperately held her back.
Laila decided to hold a silent disco instead.
