hey neopronoun community here's a tip:

you should tag your posts about specific kinds of pronouns as [first word][secondword][pronouns] as all one word.

Like ititspronouns or zehirpronouns.

Why?

because tumblr's search function is useless. To see just how useless, go ahead and try searching for "it/its pronouns", with the results set to "Latest".

It's much better than it was before, but you can still see how many posts are included that are there only because they contain the word "it" at some point. Lol. It used to be that zero posts actually about it/its pronouns showed up at all, just....literally any post that had the word "it" in the post or in the tags.

And this happens with all the other pronouns you can think of, unless each word is unique enough not to get used in any other kind of post.

So the easiest way to avoid this is to use specific tags, like ititspronouns, which will guarentee relevant results when you search for that.

Just keep the tagging scheme consistent, and everyone will be able to find relevant posts! Firstword, second word, pronouns!

Theythempronouns, bunbunspronouns, starstarspronouns, ect!

I use this tagging system here, and started using it for @neopronouns-in-action and @custom-pronoun-pins (which has not received any requests in forever, but they're always open!)

I very highly encourage others to start using these kinds of tags, so that posts about certain pronouns can be found easily!

I would just say it's probably not a good idea to do it for posts where you're just listing out a ton of pronouns, though, that would clog the tags up very fast, and be a lot you'd have to type.

Also, for anyone who missed it, here's a post I made with different categories I came up with for different kinds of neopronouns so that it's easier for people to specify!

This reflective poem was born thinking of the NaNoWriMo's mission, highlighting the unique challenge writers face when setting down those crucial initial lines.

Whether it's the beginning of a story, a letter, or anything at all, it can be intimidating to start. It's especially true for those of us with a perfectionist nature, a mindset that often leads to writer's block and procrastination. But remember, NaNo's mission is clear: focus on those words without judgment. Grant yourself kindness. In the beginning, each word is enough!

" The first words of a story: the most challenging to put on paper. As if you're writing a love letter, in which you can never fully express your emotions because it's never enough.

How many crumpled and scribbled sheets you've wasted, with the same frenzy with which a lover erases unspoken words of love. They will then fall into the oblivion of shame until you suppress them without giving them any chance. Those words may seem irreparable mistakes, but they only reflect the uncertainty of human feelings.

Be brave! Make a decision, and stop tearing sheets apart after the first imperfect line. Live spontaneously. Embrace your authenticity. On these pages, write sincerely, without shame, and without fear. Express your true self. Who knows, maybe your love might be reciprocated."
