#first time drawing Sendo!

I finished this Sendo drawing a few months back. I don’t usually draw HNI fanart, but I thought he was so cool and couldn’t help myself.

So... The year is ending and I just wanted to say a little (big) "thank you for being there" to everyone who I met on Tumblr... Because honestly, I wouldn't be the same unhinged idiot that I am Rn if I didn't meet such wonderful people in the span of three/four months

First there's @cherrytasticc, I have known her for 2 years now, science fair, digital drawings and all, but these last months of the year, I've grown towards her, making her almost like my lil sis that I would die to protect, Same goes with @melikedraw, I knew her through her posts on Tumblr, and one day she simply dm me and now I can't see Gaolang or Sendo without remembering her every single time

After a few days I ended up knowing @itshirohi, Still very shy about almost every interaction with him, but he is a nice person (A bopping maniac, maybe) but overall I don't regret dming him, specially because I adore drawing his Ocs!

The same happened with @kunhisstuff, After all, I keep going with my Oc search to make more friends on Tumblr, and I happen to stumble across their account, and accidentally falling deeply for one of his oc's!

With @aneenasevla it was in the opposite way, because surprisingly she was the one to "adopt me" (extroverted bean getting adopted by another extrovert) to be fair, I wanted to talk to her, but shyness won that time, but the order of the factors does not alter the product (or the fact that I love the Heavy Bakery fanfic <3)

My memory is a bit blurry from here on, two other mutuals that I ended up growing found of were @souxton and @rottencarr0t! Both of them gave me a surprise when they understood spanish (mostly rot since she speaks it as a first language, but it was a nice moment w soux too!)

As little honor mentions I include @riddscorner and @adamant1ne since I haven't talked to them that much, but I wish to be able to get to know them a little better :3

And the last person that spawned just this month and unironically made me cry of happiness when they told me that my silliness made their day, @habuoibeo!

I really wanted to say thank you for being here when I arrived onto Tumblr and cheering me up without knowing it, even if you think it was just a message, just a fanart or a simple drawing, Maybe it made me feel better just when I needed it and I seriously appreciate every single one of you <3

The Concept Art of Tsumiki Fushiguro

Okay, okay, I should have done Megs first because he's our protagonist alongside Yuji, but let's just ignore that and move on.

Trabalhar na arte conceitual é algo que raramente faço, pois rapidamente fico entediado com os designs dos personagens ou acabo mudando muitas coisas à medida que prossigo. Mas vi isso como um desafio divertido e não há nada melhor do que começar pelo meu personagem favorito.

I'll divide this into two points: Art style and symbolism. I'll do the same when I finally draw the designs for Megs, Yuji, Nobara and Satoru.

Art style

_ I'm still working on my style and the things I like in my drawings, so maybe that will change in the future.

_ Queria misturar um pouco de jjk e Kny, optando por um rosto mais realista e expressivo como no JJK, mas ainda mantendo o estilo de olhar que vejo, por exemplo, no Tanjiro. (Sério, deixar as pupilas brancas é muito interessante esteticamente. Achei que ficaria estranho, mas me enganei agradavelmente)

_ Quando estou no processo de design, sempre opto por desenhar a versão chibi dos personagens para determinar como serão as cores e a paleta de cores. No caso da Miki, tentei fazer algo parecido com o que vemos no anime, uma mistura de rosa claro e amarelo. Pretendo manter a mesma paleta para sua versão adulta, embora o look com certeza vá mudar.

Symbolisms

_ Starting with her child version, Tsumiki's kimono is printed with my attempt to replicate the dragonflies on Gojo's kimono, in Toji's flashback. The same with Megumi. A simple way to connect them with our most powerful hashira LOL.

_ As libélulas na cultura japonesa estão associadas à felicidade, coragem e prosperidade e força (é por isso que Gojo tem um quimono estampado com elas, sendo o feiticeiro mais forte.)

_ In her adult version, Miki mainly wears a nurse's uniform, but she also has a traditional kimono printed with lilies, my favorite symbolism for her.

_ Lilies symbolize purity, innocence, peace and tenderness, qualities that are associated with Tsumiki in the manga. It is also a reference to red spider lilies, the famous Higanbana which are known in Japan as flowers of death

_ Unlike her childhood version, Tsumiki keeps her hair tied up in a hairstyle similar to the classic Shimada-mage, as was the custom of young women at the time in which the story takes place (Taisho Era, as in KNY).

Writing about my creative process is strange, since most of my thoughts are, well, inside my head. Putting this in a post is something… different.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who is following this Au, especially to Anon who asked me about Tsumiki in the story! I was so excited to hear that someone was interested in this! I felt like a schoolgirl talking about her crush, LOL

I still have a long way to go in the design of the other characters, as well as the development of the story itself (I really want to do a long work, with several chapters, but I'm afraid of losing the hype halfway through and abandoning it T-T). However, I'm having so much fun! This Au has been living in my head for weeks and isn't paying rent, LMAO.

I think that little figures like the eggs take a while to draw up and make, but stuff like the Cucurucho hat? That stuff could’ve been sold MONTHS ago, and it would’ve sold SUPER WELL before Purgatory . The fandom had been practically begging for Cucurucho merch since his first appearance on the first day! We’d been begging for merch period, but fuck us, I guess

And I guess I just don’t get what Quackity was doing for his ‘investigation’ at all because uh. Nothing really happened? No restitution for Pomme or Lea or any other fired admins, like Ramon’s og admin. Firing people without notice is a labor law violation, so that stuff is fucked. So is the whole ‘volunteer labor for a for-profit organization’, which I believe is just flat-out illegal in a couple countries represented on the qsmp

My guy’s investigation lasted like three days and we saw absolutely zero changes out of it except for a ton of admins absolutely vital to the project leaving/getting fired. He doesn’t even know how to be a content creator anymore, how do people think he’s a competent business owner?

Slam Dunk, panels and movement

(previously on the subject of comic panelling, animation and time)

I've been reading Slam Dunk after we had such a blast watching the movie.

And... as much as the film changed the tone of Slam Dunk from comedy to drama, I can really see where that incredibly sharp sense of choreography in the actual basketball scenes came from. Inoue's art rapidly gets really good from the start, but he really kicks it up a notch in the basketball scenes. He has a fantastic sense of how to convey motion, and communicate quite complex movements economically.

It's very animation-like in a way, showing key poses with a really clear relation to each other, creating anticipation poses and then presenting a surprise twist on them. it requires incredibly precise drawing to work.

Below I've written a little analysis on some example pages from the first proper basketball match. Shohoku are up against a school called Ryonan. They're getting their asses kicked. (Scans here are from Tensai Manga Project, they are pretty bad but it's all I have available in English.)

On this page, we see Rukawa (Shohoku #11) attempting to receive a pass...

Rukawa is stretching up to meet the ball, surrounded by negative space. The proximity of Uozomi looming behind him adds tension.

But we cut to a closeup of Sendo, who is Ryonan's star player, and then on the next page we keep the camera fairly close to where it was...

Sendō (Ryonan #7) jumps in and intercepts the pass. the fact that the other characters have barely moved communicates how quickly he must have moved, as well as the surprised expression of the other players, and this is underlined by reaction shots.

To convey motion in a drawing, which is inherently still, you have a number of tricks you can employ. Speed lines are well known, and Slam Dunk uses them to great effect, but posing is also incredibly important. If a character is balanced, we assume they're relatively still. If they're off-balance, it feels like we're seeing them mid-movement.

(This is pretty logical, because walking and running is a process of continually moving off-balance and catching ourselves before we fall, so we'll only tend to see off-balance poses in that context.)

Here, there's a strong diagonal movement across the panel with Sendō. The speed lines enter from bottom right, and lead up along the line of action, which cuts across the other characters. The movement is accentuated by the hatching, which follows the diagonal motion.

Another one of Inoue's favourite techniques is to show multiple poses within the same panel, a technique even more like animation. For example, here we have Uozomi (Ryonan #4) intercepting a pass...

We have two extreme poses in one panel. We have the arm stretched up, and the arm rotated almost 180 degrees, blurred with speed lines. The path of the ball is further indicated by a straight line, bouncing at the bottom of the panel; the onomatopoeia (バン ban) also reads diagonally along the same line. So you read the panel along that exact line: you register the arms, then you follow the line down and see the ball.

Uozomi is incidentally one of those yankii brick shithouse highschoolers, here he is meeting gori -

You can make a character look large and imposing by shooting them at a high angle and making their head small compared to their body. What's kinda funny to me is that the proportions of the characters seem very elastic - when they're on the basketball court they're relatively natural, but in other scenes they'll be super exaggerated like this.

Anyway, returning to basketball.. this two page spread provides a great example of the 'two poses in one panel' trick:

Sendō is jumping as if to score, and Rukawa is jumping to intercept him - note the off-balance midair poses here, the centre of gravity is not central for either character - but at the last second Sendo passes back to another player. This is conveyed by drawing Sendo's arm twice - again, at both extremes of the throwing motion - and drawing the ball twice, connected by speed lines.

Once again, we follow up the big splash panel with reaction shots, which help sell that something impressive just happened.

A similar example from the beginning of chapter 29:

The first panel shows Sendo jumping to score. The second panel shows Rukawa's hand appearing to intercept it. Then, panel 3 shows Sendō passing to a teammate. We have Sendō and Rukawa suspended in midair poses. Sendō isn't looking where he's throwing the ball, which helps convey that it's a rapid flick. The other characters are in running poses - this is the passing position of the run, which has the most asymettric silhouette in the front view.

In this page, Rukawa attempts to get the ball from Sendo...

The second panel is shot from the same angle and shows Rukawa and Ryonan #5 back there in almost but not quite identical poses, while Sendō has flipped the ball across his body. Rukawa and Sendo have both moved a fair distance, while #5 has barely moved. The differences communicate speed: both Rukawa and Sendō are moving fast, but Sendō has moved faster. Once again, Sendō is not looking where he moved the ball - this helps sell the casualness of the movement.

All of this so far uses a fairly conventional approach to panelling, but there are also times where Inoue will break from the panel boundaries and linear perspective...

Here, #8 is passing forwards to Sendō. We see Sendō moving to intercept the ball as if from nowhere - he's in an extremely off-balance dynamic pose here helping communicate his horizontal movement, while the other players' movement is sold by the speed lines and passing poses.

Then we see the ball lingering in the air, with multiple reaction shots - something is definitely going to happen right? Turn the page and...

Sendō reaches up to catch the pass. More reaction shots - Sakuragi gets a much more cartoonish expression than every other character. By dragging this out across multiple panels and pages, we get a form of slow motion, extending the tension. but then!

Rukawa intercepts! This full-page spread is pretty much a mirror of the shot at the start of this post where Rukawa was receiving the pass. We also have Sakuragi in the foreground, his neck twisted at an extreme angle to show his surprise.

This panel has a very detailed background. For these big splash panels, Inoue generally goes to one of two extremes. Either it's a super detailed background like this, which accentuates the sense of a moment frozen in time, or we get pure negative space:

Look at this! The pure white bg puts the emphasis on the silhouettes; the composition as a whole has a fantastic diagonal flow. Sendō is stretched out, Rukawa is compact. Sendō's hand shows where he thought the ball was going, but our eyes follow the line down and roll along Rukawa's arm and we see he's actually passed it to the side.

Also note how the characters' hair is all fluffed up by the motion, and the zigzag shapes in the clothing.

Inoue can 100% mix up the camera angles too. For example...

We're shooting from above here, a tricky angle to draw, but the speed lines convey the sense of a rapidly tracking camera like you might get in a sports broadcast.

You can see this exact approach to composition in The First Slam Dunk. As a film, it adds a bunch of extra tricks to the arsenal with camera movements, slow and fast motion and the like - but the way the players move is structured in much the same way, with the slowmo taking the role of these big splash panels.

Honestly, reading this manga, I'm not surprised that Inoue did such a great job directing a movie of his work. He has an extremely cinematic style already: a lot of these panel sequences translate very directly to a sequence of shots in a film. I don't know yet if TFSD is directly adapting sequences from the manga or if it's just Inoue applying his tried and true tricks to a storyboard instead of a comic, but either way, it's very impressive.

Basketball has the advantage that there is extensive video of people playing it that you can study to get a sense of how they move, but I think this manga would be a great study for anyone drawing action scenes in a comic...

In the rewrite, Tiny is from the same litter of Rusty, Princess gets to be from an older different litter, he gets adopted together with his brother, Rusty.

When Rusty decided to join the Clans, Tiny not wanting to be alone and missing his brother company, decides to join too, with the name Icepaw(to make a parallel with Firepaw, and of course, because of the 2 book of the TPB is called Fire and Ice).

I don't who could be his mentor? Maybe Tigerclaw for drama, or maybe Longtail(maybe even Mousefur), don't know, i'm open for suggestions.

He would be one of Firepaw big supporters, and would try to fiercely protect him, but he would a very difficulty time trying to socialize with the other cats outside of his brother(principally the other apprentices).

But eventually, he would become friends with the elders and some especific queens, since he would constantly help with the elders and queens, he would form a little friendship with Swiftkit(paw) and Lynxkit, and would maybe have an apprentice in the future(i'm very tempted to give him Tawnypaw in the future, even when she is briefly in Thunderclan).

There's alot more that i want to add, but i don't want this post to be giant, so just a little more.

His warrior name would be Iceheart(to match with his brother), he would be a decent hunter, but a menace in a fight, i don't know if i stil makes him kill Tigerstar or makes Firestar do it.

In the drawing, would be after the first arc, and is him with his favourites nieces, Leafkit and Squirrelkit, i think he would have a dangerous looking but cool uncle vibe, i still debating if he would have kits on his own, or would be just the cool uncle.

Tell me if i made an grammar error, so i can fix it.

Na minha reescrita, Pequeno(nome de gatinho de gente de Fragelo) é da mesma ninhada que Ferrugem, Princesa é mudada para uma ninhada diferente que é mais velha, ele é adotado junto com seu irmão, Ferrugem.

Quando Ferrugem decide entrar nos Clãs, Pequeno não querendo ficar sozinho e sentindo saudade do irmão, decide entrar também, com o nome Pata de gelo(para fazer um paralelo com Pata de fogo, e também, por causa do 2 livro sendo chamado Fogo e Gelo).

Eu não sei quem poderia ser o mentor dele? Talvez Garra de tigre para drama, ou talvez Rabo longo(ou até mesmo Pelo de rato), não sei, estou aberto à sugestões.

Ele iria ser um dos grandes apoiadores para Pata de fogo, e iria tentar protege-lo ferozmente, mas ele teria muita dificuldade em tentar socializar com outros gatos fora o seu irmão(principalmente os outros aprendizes).

Mas eventualmente, ele se tornaria amigos dos anciãos e de algumas rainhas específicas, desde que ele iria constantemente ajudar os anciãos e rainhas, ele teria uma pequena amizade com Filhote ligeiro(Pata ligeira) e Filhote de lince, e talvez ter um aprendiz no futuro(eu estou bem tentada em dar Pata de açafrão para ele no futuro, mesmo que ela tenha ficado por pouco tempo no Clã do trovão).

Tem mais um monte de coisa que eu quero adicionar, mas não quero que esse post seja gigante, então só mais um pouquinho.

O nome de guerreiro dele seria Coração de gelo(para combinar com seu irmão), ele seria um caçador decente, mas um perigo em uma luta, eu não sei se eu continuo com ele matando Estrela tigrada ou fazer com que Estrela de fogo faça isso.

No desenho seria depois do primeiro arco(onde Gatos guerreiros foi terminado de ser publicado aqui no Brasil), e é ele com suas sobrinhas favoritas, Filhote de folha e Filhote de esquilo, eu acho que ele teria a vibe de tio que parece perigo mas legal, eu estou me debatendo se ele teria filhotes dele, ou seria apenas um tio legal.

Me diz se eu fiz um erro na gramática, e eu irei consertar.

Akkun managed to convince Takuya to go stargazing with him. He’s rambling away about all of the constellations above them, and Takuya can’t help but feel the need to finally say ‘‘I love you’’, even if they’d been dating for a few weeks now.

So he does.

Takuya’s lying on top of the hill his boyfriend’s dragged him up to in the middle of the night. There’s a cold summer breeze, but he’s always preferred lower temperatures, and the grass under him is comfortably cool. The sky is clear of all clouds, perfect for stargazing.

And perfect for Akkun to stare at as if he was in love. Takuya might even be a little jealous.

,,The star over there’’, Akkun points at one of the many white spots in the night sky, ,,You see the really bright one? That’s the north star. It’s been used for navigation for hundreds of years. If you follow it for long enough, you’ll end up on the north pole. It’s actually a triple star system though, so three stars that orbit each other. They’re called Polaris Aa, Polaris Ab, and Polaris B. But to the naked eye they look like just one star.’’ He gestures around with his hands.

Takuya nods, looking at the bright little stars above them. They’re so far away. Way further than he can imagine.

,,Did you know that light travels slow enough for us to pretty much see into the past when looking at the stars?’’, Akkun continues. ,,The Polaris we see right now is a little over four hundred years old. Isn’t that crazy?’’

,,Yeah...’’, Takuya whispers. He certainly wasn’t aware of how fascinating space is before, and it’s an odd sense of realisation. It’s weird how great this knowledge feels. That he’s looking at three stars orbiting each other four hundred years in the past. That they’ve been orbiting each other for millions of years. And that they’ll continue to do so for another bunch of million years.

He’d like to be a star, he thinks. In the same star system as the star that’s Akkun. Orbiting each other for billions of years, until one of them explodes.

But there’s so much beauty in being human too because he can be close to Akkun. He can hold him, and he can kiss him. And while dancing around each other in space for a seemingly infinte amount of time is quite romantic, he does prefer lying here, on top of this hill, thinking about stars so close to Akkun that their shoulders are touching.

,,The north star is part of the constellation little bear, or ursa minor in latin. It’s the tail end. You see, there’s two more stars further down, slightly to the left’’, Akkun explains and moves his finger, pointing at the stars he’s talking about, ,,And then there’s another one that’s part of a rectangle. If you connect the stars with a line like that, you get the whole constellation.’’

Takuya mentally connects the stars, but he certainly doesn’t see a bear in them. More of a shopping cart, really. ,,Isn’t there a great bear, too?’’

Akkun nods enthusiastically. ,,Yes! If you take the longer side of the rectangle, the one not connected to other stars, add it four times to the lower end, and then go down a little you should find the tail end of ursa major, the great bear. It’s a pretty bright star, too. See?’’

He points at yet another of the bright dots up in the sky. ,,That’s the tail end. This time you go up, slightly to the right. The first two stars make a line, and the third one is connected to a rectangle, just like before.’’ He’s drawing the lines in the air, pointing at where they really are so far away in space.

,,And, you know, actually, the whole constellation is bigger than that. That’s just the part that resembles the small bear. After the left side of the rectangle there’s two more stars, here and here’’, Akkun points at both of them. ,,There’s another a little lower than the second last, to the right, and it’s got three stars attached to it for the constellation! Two over there, the legs, and one way lower, about the same height as the underside of the rectangle, but a straight line down, so to the right. That one’s got two more legs, too, and then a star to the left. That one connects back to the rectangle. And there you have it, that’s the whole great bear!’’

Even with a lot of pointing and seemingly clear explanations from Akkun, Takuya still feels lost. He can make out something bear-shaped with some fantasy, but he’s convinced he’s got half of the stars wrong. Still, it’s fun to look at the night sky like that. As if there truly were little pictures floating around.

,,What’s your favorite constellation?’’, Takuya asks.

,,Hm... the orion, I think because it’s the first constellation I read about apart from the small and great bears. But it’s not visible right now.’’

,,Oh. And from the ones we can see?’’, Takuya ponders. He wants to know more about the stars, and more about Akkun, too, even if he knows a lot already. Plus, he loves seeing him so passionate.

,,The dragon! I mean, it’s a dragon, and dragons are cool. It starts between the two bears, right at the top of the rectangle in the great bear’’, Akkun explains, still pointing at the sky and moving his fingers along with what he’s talking about. ,,Then it goes down, and here, it goes up, and then down again. It ends in a pretty shitty rectangle that’s not very rectangle-shaped down here. But it’s got four corners, so.’’

He shrugs, and Takuya nods along. The whole time he’s been more focused on his boyfriend’s smile as he beamed up at the stars, eyes happily sparkling in the bit of light from the moon above them. He looks so excited whenever he gets to talk about his interests.

,,Akkun?’’

,,Hm?’’, Akkun hums and turns his head to face Takuya.

,,I love you.’’ It’s only a low whisper, but Takuya’s heart is beating fast enough already. A weight drops off his mind when the corners of Akkun’s mouth turn into a smile.

Akkun grabs Takuya’s shoulders, and rolls him on top of himself, smile turning into a grin when Takuya places his hands on either side of Akkun’s head and holds his body above him. He’s smiling too.

,,Perfect. Now I can look at my two favorite things at the same time; you, and the stars!’’, Akkun laughs, and Takuya can’t help but join in.

Before they’re completely silent, he starts to lean down, and when he’s only an inch away from Akkun’s lips, Akkun grabs his face to pull him down and closes the gap. They share a few kisses, lying there on the grass, hidden in the dark beneath the night sky full of stars. It feels less magical than it should, somehow.

After a bunch of kisses with lots of little pauses for exchanging smiles, Takuya decides to lie down beside Akkun again. Though, he holds one of his hands now, interlacing their fingers.

,,Takuya?’’ Again, it’s a low whisper. But the night is quiet, and the human mind can recognise the sounds it wants to hear quite clearly, so it doesn’t matter.

,,Yeah?’’

Akkun gently squeezes his hand. ,,I love you too.’’

1) Game — Reverse 1999 : : (uninstall Enstar for this)

Reinstall this game bcs my tl sometimes show me r1999 stuff and it feeds my urge to play it. I installed this game when there was like 3 days left bfore their annv update, Windsong banner. Mcm biasa, gacha game got that returnee missions n stuff. I played bit of Windsong's story: abt a researcher conducts a leyline field research at a tiny snowy town. I don't really remember the plot of main story, so need to watch some recap on yt.

Gosh i forgot how beautiful this game artstyle is, and the ui too??? Whenever i play the story, i felt like crying like damn gorgeous art they need to release artbook fr.

Im speedrunning this game okayy,, reached player level 30, leveled up 6 of my characters (Sonetto, Dikke, APPle, Lucy, Getian, Bloodbourn) to Insight II, 2 episodes for main story, settled the beginner mission etc etc. Also new 6 stars characters i got so far are Windsong, Lucy, Getian (from annv banner), Toothfairy, Sotheby, Regulus, Ezra in span of 50 pulls honestly im tweaking (OKAYY HELP wtf is going on?? ). Omg i did so much. Finished Penacony's main story, Ruan Mei's story (I hate that damn bug with passion) , Topaz's story and otw Wardance's story. Kafka is considered fully build for me (my woman hitting that 45k raw burst dmg on average), half- build Jingyuan, Pela, tralblazer, robin etc. Istg building characters in hsr is actually diabolical it takes at least 2 months per character,, 240 resins per day is not enough. Especially to farm those damn relics.

Retribution!

-Ippo entered the ring. Against a Complete Alfredo.

-Alfredo had heard about Ippo, the boy with the Dempsey Roll. And the one who tied with the boxer who beat him. Miyata.

-Alfredo was feeling confident, he was stronger now, and in his mind. Ippo was not the biggest threat in the tournament.

-Ippo has seen Alfredo’s boxing first hand. He knows he’s dangerous. And he trained super hard.

-The fight begins. And like in Canon it’s a tough match.

-Alfredo takes lead in the first two rounds. But Ippo isn’t going down.

-Ippo gets his momentum up in the third round, managing to knock Alfredo down. Which Awakens Mextli! The perfected blend.

-Alfredo knocks Ippo down in the fourth round 2 times!

-It looked like it was wraps for Ippo, but Ippo fired back with. A gazelle punch that knocked Alfredo off his feet. Getting a down.

-Round five, both sides were burning on all cinders. Alfredo was furious, how could this meek man have so much power. It defied Machismo!

-Ippo finally fired up the Mastered Diagonal Dempsey.

-Alfredo was blindsided. The attack was something he never seen before. Knocking the proud boxer down. He almost stayed down, but his machismo wouldn’t die down.

-In the climactic 7th round. Ippo and Alfredo were going all out, but Ippo managed to show his samurai spirit. Alfredo could swear there almost appeared to be a second boxer punching him (it was Date’s will manifested, not really but it’s a manga.)

-Culminating in This punch

-And Alfredo couldn’t stand after that. It was over. Alfredo had fallen. It was here that Alfredo decided to retire, he had reached his peak, but it wasn’t enough. If he couldn’t win this tournament, he could never hope to challenge Ricardo again.

-Ippo moves on to the next round.

-Warlee crushed Randy boy Jr.

-Sendo beat Jose, similar to how it was in canon

-Which only left Miyata and Billy.

-Both of them had improved from their loses, but Miyata overtook Billy. His spirit roared as he remembered the Last tournament he took part in and failed to reach Ippo.

-Miyata had won.

-The next match up was quite surprising. Ippo was Fighting against Miyata in the next match!

-Sendo would be fighting against Warlee.

-Ippo couldn’t believe his luck. He would get his rematch with Miyata! They could finally settle the score.

-Miyata felt his excitement rise. Both of them had evolved so much since their last match. And Miyata knew in his gut, that as a boxer. He had very few matches left in this weight class before it impacted performance. Ippo was his test. Thats how he felt.

-Ippo felt that Miyata was his test as well. Their match would determine everything. No draws here. It’s either he wins and pushes forward in his career, or he loses and he retires. This was what he felt.

-Both fighters were hinging their futures on this fight.

-Sendo could see it in their eyes. The winner of that fight will be one hell of a monster! Miyata or Ippo. That was going to be a battle.

-as for Sendo, he could sense the Animalistic power of Warlee. After Warlee’s loss to Alfredo in the past. He gained Bloodlust. And he was a monster in his own right. Though now he got the moniker Wukong. Sendo got the moniker Saber tooth Tiger.

-The fight between Ippo and Miyata was called “Rumbling Heavens”

-Sendo vs Warlee was called Caged.

-Everything leading up to Miyata’s 5th title defense, but with one change. Miyata didn’t see Mr. Sakaguchi or Randy jr in the crowd.

-Without the distraction, Miyata didn’t struggle and didn’t break his fist in his fight.

-Miyata was still champion and with no injuries, he would be facing Ippo on the promised day.

-Now with no need for an interim champion to exist. Ippo and Miyata are on a collision course.

-Randy Jr. Does show up to see Miyata and tell him the dates BS. Miyata is confused as this is his first time seeing Randy Jr. but brushes it off as not important right now. He has more important things.

-Both fighters are super motivated

-The time of the fight has arrived and Ippo, renounced his title belt. As was his plan with his Gym’s permission.

-Ippo ends his reign with 7 title defenses. Leaving the title vacant. Now taking his next step.

-Ippo is running on pure motivation. And at this time we know what he was thinking

-The first round. Ippo didn’t charge immediately. He was being analytical. It was a surprise. Everyone could feel the tension.

-Ippo and Miyata were running countless scenarios in their heads as they prepared. But then, they both began.

-The first round was a tie, no clear advantage.

-Miyata Sr, telling Miyata to keep cool. He has the speed advantage. He just needs to relax. Coach kamogawa telling Ippo to put the pressure on.

-The stadium was hyped up. Sendo commenting that Ippo was going to win, Mashiba commenting that Miyata has the clear advantage. Date comments on both their strengths and weaknesses.

-Round 3 and 4 are both intense rounds, Miyata starting to feel the downside of his weight control. Yet Miyata gets the first down on Ippo with a powerful counter. Ippo got up at 7. Ippo had realized That was Miyata’s hidden move.

-Round 5 Ippo gets his first down on Miyata. Barely grazing him.

-Both boxers evolving. Date comments that right now those two were world rankers and surpassed him when he had his rematch with Ricardo.

-Sendo could see it, the fire in Ippo’s eyes.

-Mashiba felt genuine guilt keeping these two from fighting.

-Round 6 has them Both score downs on the other.

-Round 7 and 8 has Miyata taking lead, almost knocking Ippo down. But Ippo lands some nasty liver blows.

-Round 9 and 10 Ippo takes point lead. And it’s still all tied up. Both almost knocked the other down. Both knowing that whoever goes down first would lose.

-Round 11, Ippo and Miyata start going at it harder. Both throwing Everything they got into the fight. Everyone was stunned by the display. Both of them evolved again. Ippo unveiling the Dempsey roll and Miyata showing his unseen punch. They both knocked the other down at the same time! Both by sheer spirit managed to stand up.

-Both make it to round twelve. Both in their mind knowing, this would not end with a decision.

-And they both go in. One final punch to end it.

A guy who is also  5’9” and still growing! He’s also a Gryffindor! You initially met through Gojo when he introduced you as the 4th first year enrolling in Jujutsu Tech. Gojo put Megumi in charge of showing you around, and that’s how you became friends!

He’s not much of a talker. He’ll mostly talk about the Jujutsu world and his Shikigami, or maybe the homework he had assigned to him that day. Like I said, not a huge talker. But if you find just the right topic, the two of you can chat for a good while before your social batteries run out, and you have to recharge. 

The two of you are a pair of internet sleuths! Megumi didn’t expect to get this into it, but he is, and he’s in it for the long haul. You got him addicted to investigating mysteries! Also, cat cafe hangouts! Go to cat cafes all over Tokyo and chat about whatever topic you’re interested in that day :)

Demon Slayer Matchup: I pair you with… Agatsuma Zenitsu!

This Gryffindor of a boy is just a titch taller than you at 5’4”! He is a bit obnoxious at first but quickly settles down once he realizes you don’t like obnoxious people. He also tones down his volume, but he’s also friends with Insouke, so you’re bound to have some noise when the two of you hang out. 

He loves to watch you draw! He isn’t very good at it and is mesmerized by your skill! Also, napping hangouts! Zenitsu is 10/10 amazing at building blanket forts, so create a blanket fort and fall asleep in it! Of course, Inosuke loves to come and knock down all your hard work, so make sure to do it when he’s out of the house.  Zenitsu can talk for hours. I’m not even joking. If you get him going, he can be a real chatterbox. But he loves to listen to you talk too cause that’s what friends do! He doesn’t mind your mood swings; he gets them sometimes, too, so he understands. Overall, a really jittery friend but one of the best you could have!

Finished reading “O Mistério da Estrada de Sintra”, by Eça de Queirós and Ramalho Ortigão.

This is one of those that has been sitting on the shelf for some ten years now, and I’m happy that I finally made room for it.

It’s fun and cheesy, and notable mostly for:

a) the fact that it was written by two of Portugal’s most well known 19th century authors working together;

b) being Portugal’s first important crime-mystery novel;

and c) the manner in which it was published.

The book consists of a series of anonymous letters by the various characters, written to the editor of a major newspaper, and describing the events of this crime that supposedly took place.

At the time it was actually published in that form, so readers would have been following along in the newspaper week by week as the story unfolded. And, since all characters are all anonymized, the idea is of course that this could very well be a real story taking place in their city right now. It’s that War of the Worlds vibe. This is probably my favorite aspect of the book.

Now the authors themselves years later thought this book rather silly, but nonetheless thought it important to have it published and wrote in the preface of a later edition the following (english google translation below)

Yes the book is cheesy, and oversentimental and all of the other things its authors accuse it of being. Yet, people loved it, and they chose to let it be republished even though they no longer agreed with most of the things in it. I just find it nice and refreshingly healthy, especially coming from these sources.

Anyhow, it was a fun little read, that is probably more important for its context than its content, but I can certainly recommend it to someone who’s curious about portuguese literature.

Outro dia rotineiro em Night Raven com o mesmo caos de sempre... Harumi, o aluno sem poderes mágicos trazido de outro mundo, precisando parar alguma discussão entre Deuce e Ace enquanto mantinha Grim sobre controle na tentativa de evitar que a criatura peluda e imã de problemas causasse o caos.

Harumi estava exausto para dizer no mínimo, esteve sendo pressionado pela negligência de Crowley que todo o problema que ocorre na escola o diretor de alguma forma empurra as responsabilidades dele sobre Harumi que ainda precisa se preocupar com sua vida escolar além de seu trabalho como supervisor.

Isso sem o trabalho de meio período no Mostro Lounge já que o diretor é mesquinho e não dava quase nenhuma ajuda financeira, Harumi já estava farto de esperar ajuda do diretor negligente e algumas vezes a situação do dormitório estava insalubre para continuar assim e se não bastasse não estar dormindo bem nos últimos dias por causa de todo esses estresse e dos estranhos sonhos que teve a quase três semanas.

Eles estavam terminando mais um dia de aula e estavam passando pelo corredor do Espelho das Trevas quando Harumi sentiu algo, como alguém chamando.

“Ei, Harumi... O que foi?” – Deuce perguntou chamando atenção do amigo de cabelos morenos.

“...” – Harumi não respondeu, parecia em transe enquanto olhava para o espelho.

“Ei, terra para Harumi!” – Ace tenta chamar a atenção do amigo.

“Ah, desculpem...” – Harumi respondeu enquanto voltava a si – “O que estávamos falando mesmo?” – ele perguntou tentando retornar ao assunto.

Do lado de fora uma tempestade assolava toda a escola enquanto os alunos gritam procurando um local seguro.

O quarteto conseguiu abrigo atrás de pilares e um estrondo junto de um clarão de luz que inundou o salão, todos fechando e cobrindo os olhos para se proteger da repentina claridade e quando a luz se esvai tudo havia se aclamado: Sem vendaval, tempestade, nada.

Ou quase se não fosse o fato do dia parecer ter cedido prematuramente seu tempo para uma noite escura e quatro caixões que normalmente flutuava pelo salão estão jogados rodeando a fonte sob o Espelho das trevas que agora mostrava a imagem de vultos que Harumi conhecia bem: Os seres que surgiam em seu sonhos nas últimas semanas.

O quão caótico seria o que estaria por vir, como o presságio do sonho parecendo ganhar vida e se tornar realidade.

Another routine day in Night Raven with the same chaos as always ... Harumi, the student without magical powers brought from another world, needing to stop some discussion between Deuce and Ace while keeping Grim under control in an attempt to prevent the furry creature and magnet of problems caused chaos. Harumi was exhausted to say the least, he was being pressured by Crowley's negligence that the whole problem that occurs at school the principal somehow pushes his responsibilities over Harumi who still needs to worry about his school life in addition to his work as a supervisor.

This without part-time work at Mostro Lounge since the director is stingy and gave almost no financial aid, Harumi was already tired of waiting for help from the negligent headmaster and sometimes the situation in the dorm was unhealthy to continue like this and if it were not enough not sleeping well in the past few days because of all the stress and the strange dreams he had for almost three weeks.

As far I am concerned we don't have the birth certificate we only have access to the certificate of live birth - here's a link of daily mail article where in the photo you can see that is written certificate of live birth.

You are right, at least here in Brazil you can't say you are the real father or mother and register in the birth certificate knowing that you aren't. If you do this you will be committing a crime.

So yeah, I don't think there is a fake birth certificate and that's why we don't have access to it. Having all of this in mind I think when they end babygate they will not even metion the existence of the paper; they won't have to bribe government or say Briana and Briana's family committed fraud. The only thing I think they will do is to ask to tabloids delete the articles about the certificate of live birth or they will leave exactly as it is right now and will not comment about it.

Babygate started out as a public relations relationship and I'm pretty sure it will end as a public relations one.

If it was not agreed by the team to create this image of Briana swindler and all this narrative, then they appropriated the Sugar case and used it in their favor. And I think they are being extremely careful about the subject mainly because it is a topic that not everyone likes to talk about - but at the same time they are putting the name of louis in the top trends most talked about and created this image of her.

They are improving the terrain, continuing the story until they really want to complete the end it. Because with the name louis spoken, it can help when it comes to announcing the new label and the new album. Então, sim, não acho que haja uma certidão de nascimento falsa e é por isso que não temos acesso a ela. Eles estão melhorando o terreno, continuando com a história até de fato quiserem concluir o end it. Porque com o nome do louis falado, pode ajudar na hora de anunciar a nova gravadora e o novo álbum.

E como eu disse, por ser um assunto delicado, eu não acho que o louis queira deixar mais público. E desse jeito deixa evidente que está  levando ao fim, então  não vai surgir do nada um artigo com o título "louis tomlinson descobre que não é pai". Fazendo dessa maneira ia chamar muita atenção, então pessoas iriam querer entrevistas, tentar entender o que rolou nesses 5 anos e porquê demorou tanto para fazer o teste de paternidade. And even those among us who barely follow soccer know of your famous football teams, fully expecting to see you in the final rounds of the World Cup every four years. We also know about your stunning beaches because they’ve appeared in song—“The Girl/Boy from Ipanema” among them. We know about your religious festivals, Mardi Gras especially, as we attempt to imitate the intensity and joy of those celebrations—in dance and in music—on our side of the hemisphere. We know about your coffee. And I, for one, love your flag. It’s got a slice of the night sky on it; no fewer than two-dozen stars, each retrace authentic constellations, the Southern Cross included.

So, if you asked any of us in the USA what we think when your name gets mentioned, we typically draw from that list.

We might even find the name in small print somewhere on the fuselage. But hardly any of us knows that the airplane is designed and built in Brazil. You could boast “Brazilian Engineering” but you don’t. Why not? Germany has no hesitation embracing that claim. But, of course, they’ve earned it. Everyone knows the quality of German-engineered products, which happens to infuse their aerospace economy, the third largest in the world.

But wait. One of the greatest pioneers in early aviation was Brazilian. A brilliant and inventive engineer who was highly decorated in his time, Alberto Santos-Dumont guided the world’s transition from lighter-than-air to heavier-than-air transportation. The value of such cultural seeds, planted at the birth of an industry, may be incalculable. A century later, you have become a leader in biofuel technologies—a key step towards a green economy where our harmony with nature will determine whether we thrive, survive, or go extinct. You also have an ambitious space agency, and you are the sixth largest aerospace industry in the world. In Latin America, you are also a leader in IT. And in a country famous for its agriculture, nearly a third of your economy rides on the back of a tech-infused manufacturing sector.

So maybe it’s time the world knew more about this. Maybe it’s time Brazilians knew more about this. Maybe you are overdue for displaying products that declare: “Engineered in Brazil.”

Whatever else is, or is not, true in the world, tomorrow’s growth economies—even those that may be purely agricultural—will pivot on today’s investments in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In a democracy, these investments flow from a scientifically literate electorate that chooses enlightened leaders who know and understand the value of education, of exploration, and discovery. Without these perspectives, we’d all still be living in caves, with fellow dwellers grunting: “You can’t explore outside. First you must solve our cave problems.”

Lest anyone forget, the first (and only) South American astronaut, an aeronautical engineer, was Brazilian. And when did he launch? In 2006, the centennial year of Santos-Dumont’s first successful airplane. And what did he bring to space with him? The Brazilian Flag, and a jersey from your national football team.

Countries that struggle the most in the world tend to be those with low education levels and an absence of STEM in their culture. You have the resources and the legacy to lead all of Latin America, if not the world, in what a country of tomorrow should be—in what a country of tomorrow should aspire to.

If you embrace and bolster your STEM industries—and the entire tech sector—then the dreams of students in the educational pipeline will have no limit, as they enter a world where rockets are what fuel people’s ambitions as they exit the cave door.
