Of course the only other character I draw is the Irish guy lmaoAran did something to me, cause now whenever I see an irish guy I hyperfixate like a mf- AHEM! Anyways! O'Connor! I've given him the name Cillian (cuz idr if he was given a proper name). He is a stand-up guy, very chill, and a good leader or leader figure to some of the younger ones. Definitely gonna have the after be in an AU but he was basically extracted from the wall and had to have a bunch of his limbs amputated, so he has no legs now and is missing his right hand as well. He also put on a tad bit of weight so is figure is a little heftier, just due to the infection and the recovery he's been going through. Happy note that in his recovery he gets some surprise visitors! His beloved wife, Mary, is among the first people to come and check on her husband after they arrive home. Mary actually worked in the Med Bay on the Beira. She went home for Christmas because of a family emergency but she felt awful about leaving O'Connor by himself, especially after hearing what happened. He slowly regains some control and semblance of himself after she comes in to give him all the hugs and kisses he deserves. The other person? His estranged nephew (shut up and let me have this lmao) Aran Ryan. His father and O'Connor were good mates before O'Connor went to sea and lost touch with him. Unfortunately Aran's dad is dead now but now O'Connor has a nephew to bug and pester him all day lol

Okay I've been thinking more about my majoras mask boat boys au so here are some things (and cries for help)

So for those unfamiliar, majoras minecraft au (I think thats what I've been calling it??) is a relatively boat boys centric au but I want to contain other characters and such. Only problem, I dont watch that many people. So I call on the help of you lot of nerds! /aff

So we have etho as link and joel as tatl (fairy companion), grian as skull kid and jimmy as tael (also a fairy). That's about all I had confirmed back then, I have done a little thinking since then.

Mask salesman scar. You cannot tell me anything else it woks so perfectly. He keeps the masks in these sort of hidden compartments of his wheelchair, just like opens up a little door with a 'peruse my wares' look on his face.

Now onto a big hurdle is WHO WILL BE ANJU AND KAFEI!?!? Anju and kafei are THE love story of majoras mask, the are so cute and sad and I love them very much. I was first thinking impulse and bdubs (bc I am unoriginal and don't know many pairings, also the short bdubs jokes will never end) but then I was thinking hmm, maybe ren and martyn?, bc kafei has a cute lil canine mask and the fits ren and also he's the mayors son so like power? (can you tell I only watch like 3 people) and then martyn is there being all worried girlfriend (anju in game is not flattened to love interest dw).

I've also been thinking very baseline with a few of these but cleo as the gibdo mask man in ikana, gem as the fierce diety mask or maybe the goron mask, bdubs as romani (or epona lol), and like a ties/best/ect thing for the bombers (- etho ofc), maybe tango as cremia

Anyway so yeah because of the IMMENSE amount of characters I am asking for y'alls aid. Some other notable characters (that I know about) are: shikashi/the telescope guy, the professor, Pierre the scarecrow, the indigo-gos (especially lulu), deku princess, deku butler (and his dead son), sharp and flat, kotake and koume, kaepora gaebora/that really big fucking owl, the four giants, the rosa sisters, kamaro, guru guru, and finally, grog.

What if Jaehaerys died instead of Aemon?

So if Jaehaerys decided “i’ll take care of those pirates on Vermithor” and then took an arrow to the face, Aemon becomes King no problem, no muss, no fuss. There’s like. A lot of moving parts here and unknowns so I’m kinda breaking this up a bit-

Whomst Is All Here

So Jaehaerys dies in 92 AC. Aemon is King. Rhaenys is his heir presumptive, Laena HER heir presumptive. Baelon is alive for about nine more years, Alysanne for eight, though her memory is starting to go and she’s going to stop riding Silverwing within a few years. Gael is still alive. Viserys & Aemma haven’t married yet, nor have Daemon & Rhea. Laenor is two years from being born, Rhaenyra is….three I think idr exactly ajsj. I think Alysanne and Baelon are both gonna die at roughly the same time, given Aly is old & frail and Baelon had appendicitis, but imo, Aemma, Gael, Jocelyn, & Aemon are really up in the air here.

Succession Issues

What does Aemon do for succession? Well, considering Rhaenys’ argument is “you would rob my son of his birthright” I think it’s very likely that Aemon names Laenor Crown Prince/Prince of Dragonstone the moment he’s born, or soon after. Im……a bit unsure on the interim, because Laenor is born in 94, two years after Jaehaerys dies. Not a long time but long enough that people are probably going “well……what happens when you die tho.” Aemon is said to be a man who was quiet and dedicated to law and justice (whatever his definition that means, lmao), so I think he goes for the Aegon I approach after Rhaena is born but before Aegon the Uncrowned is born and goes “*cough cough* anyway look at how cute my granddaughter Laena is, you know she can ALREADY hold her head up, so strong, she’ll be a dragon rider for sure.”

It’s not that he’s actively trying to spurn Baelon & Viserys, it’s that Rhaenys can only have kids so fast, and they are nowhere near the point where she needs to feel rushed yet. She’s like 17, this is her first child, and it was perfectly healthy. With the shock of Jaehaerys dying in such a stupid way (he’s supposed to be like, The Conciliator, The Old Guy, and he goes out in an accident during a minor skirmish when he’d historically been very adept at squashing minor skirmishes), so that approach probably works until Laenor is born.

After that, Laenor is named Crown Prince and given all the education, privilege, and trappings that go with that title. If Aemon outlives Baelon but not by long, I………do think maybe the exact titles are a little messy? Because Alyssa was a queen Already when she’s Queen Regent, same for Cersei later on, but Rhaenys is never a Queen, Jocelyn is. So would Jocelyn maybe want the title Queen Regent? Or would she name Rhaenys…..Princess Regent? Out of respect for the fact that Laenor is Rhaenys’ son and she should have a say in his life? They could just name Lord Corlys Regent and Hand Of The King tbf, but we know nothing about Jocelyn’s personality, and we know Rhaenys is a proud woman, so I do wonder if there’s a lil thing going on here for a minute over who gets to Regent. That goes double if Aemon doesn’t outlive Baelon because I think Baelon would also put his hat in the ring, given it’s likely he serves as his brother’s hand. I mean, there’s not gonna be a war over who gets to be Regent, lol, but I do think there’s some power jockeying if Aemon doesn’t live too much longer, and Laenor doesn’t come of age before his grandfather dies.

Marriage Matches

With Aemon and Baelon being besties, I think it’s pretty natural to expect them to engage little Laenor and Viserys’ daughter - it just might not be Rhaenyra. the aemma marriage happens after Baelon is named Crown Prince, likely to ensure Viserys goes uncontested. With Rhaenys not yet having a daughter, I think there’s a chance Alysanne and/or Jocelyn, Rhaenys, even Aemon himself puts the kibbosh on that match until Laenor is born. THEN they’d be allowed to get married, imo, to ensure they have a Perfect Valyrian Bride option for Laenor. Laena is there, obviously, to be his sister-wife as well, BUT if Laenor doesn’t take an early interest in her (lol) I think Alysanne might push for them to have another Valyrian girl for him to get interested in. I think especially given Alysanne’s reaction to her daughters’ deaths, she might want to watch over their children and for Alysanne, that means match making, and on paper, Viserys is a nice match for Aemma. So maybe the Viserys-Aemma marriage happens, just later, so maybe Rhaenyra is born a little later, or maybe Aemma lives longer because her “purpose” isn’t to have a son, but a daughter, and she does this quickly. 

ANOTHER marriage to take into consideration outside of Laenor is Laena herself. See, if Laenor is Crown Prince, he can’t be Lord or Driftmark. Does Corlys want to wait for Laenor to have more than one son, so he can name his grandchild his heir, risking that Laenor never has more than one son? Is he happy with Laena as eventual Lady of Driftmark? (seems….doubtful given his actions re: passing over Baela AND Rhaena for Addam and Alyn) Do he and Rhaenys try for a third child, and hope it’s a son? Lot of factors here, but if he is waiting for Laenor to have a second son, Laena is heir presumptive literally until adulthood. I think Corlys may be a bit more careful with engaging her to random sea lords willy nilly, if he’s risking going like twenty years without a clear heir. Also, given that Corlys is Velaryon, I do think it’s more likely he wants Laenor married to a born Targaryen woman, and not to Laena, and same for Laena - I don’t think she’s marrying a younger sibling lol. But also - maybe Aemon feels some type of way about this? I mean, he married his aunt, a way of joining the two lines of Alyssa Velaryon, so I do feel he would Also be more inclined to have Laenor marry Rhaenyra, and give Corlys the room to marry Laena off to whomever he wants. If the reason Rhaenys only had two kids is because birth was hard on Rhaenys, I think Aemon might step in to be like “Hey I didn’t force Jocelyn, I waited around for a grandson, so you better not be forcing my daughter, you can wait for Laena’s grandson too.” Like i THINK. And I’m not sure Corlys is the sort of man who would force a pregnancy on Rhaenys either, if only for pragmatism sake (but also, it just doesn’t seem his style). Anyways, as usual, Driftmark succession is messy.

Daemon is still likely bound for the Vale, considering the reason for that match was likely “give Daemon a seat he can fuck off to so he’s not a problem in the capital” and they already have Viserys as the extra dude at king’s landing, they don’t need ANOTHER of these guys hanging around wanting a dragon. and i DO wonder if he’s MORE miserable here - we don’t get a sense of his relationships with Rhaenys, Aemon, Baelon, or Alysanne but I can’t imagine they are any more sympathetic to his hatred of his marriage than Viserys was PLUS Aemon is still alive and therefor still riding Caraxes, so I think it’s not unlikely Daemon hasn’t claimed a dragon because there’s just not one to claim.

Gael, imo, wouldn’t be married off until after Alysanne dies, since Alysanne did not seem like she was in a hurry to do it. I can’t see Rhaenys pushing the point, and I do wonder if Aemon just puts it off bc like, it wasn’t an issue he wanted to push on Alysanne, and after that it’s just instinctual to go “yeah that’s Gael she’s always in the corner talking dragons with Laena, sisters, what can ya do” until there’s like, a good political reason to marry her off. My reasoning here btw is a) he seems to be a bit hands off when it comes to Jocelyn and Rhaenys and b) i think gael being Laena, Laenor, & Rhaenyra’s weird maiden aunt to be really funny, personally.

DRAGONS

So. It’s the year 102 AC. Aemon has been king for a decade, with a clear heir for eight years, though his mother, Alysanne, died a few years ago and his beloved brother Baelon died suddenly a year ago. He is still riding Caraxes! Living dragons that are riderless include Dreamfyre, Vhagar, Vermithor, Silverwing, potentially Seasmoke. Rhaenys has Meleys, Balerion just died. Kind of a dearth of dragon riders right now.

Again, this means either Daemon had to claim a different one - but WHICH ONE, I mean, Balerion, assuming Viserys still claims him just cuz, like, why would you give a dying dragon to your crown prince, but if the man who will eventually be the father of your grandson’s wife wants him, that might be a cool thing to brag about? and I do NAWT thing Aemon is letting Daemon get near Vhagar & I can’t see Daemon and Dreamfyre liking each other lmao - or Daemon still doesn’t have a dragon. Caraxes/Daemon aside, if you’re king, how do you plan this all out? I imagine Jaehaerys OR Alysanne had some sort of discussion with Aemon about controlling who gets to claim dragons?

Anyways, Laenor, growing up crown prince, is likely given a dragon egg in the cradle. There’s not a lot of young dragons to claim, I think Aemon would feel safe hatching another one for his heir. I don’t think it’s likely Rhaenyra has Syrax though - Viserys would need to ask Aemon for permission, and neither Aemon, nor Baelon nor Alyssa nor Rhaenys had cradle eggs. That said, I think he’d allow Rhaenyra to claim a dragon for her wedding to Laenor. The question is which one because as we know, Rhaenyra is a Visenya fangirl but-

ENTER LAENA VELARYON. All we know for sure from f&b is that Laena had claimed Vhagar by 105 AC and that Laenor claimed Seasmoke when they were both young. In the show - and tbc, idk if this was a thing George wanted in there, or just something they threw in - that Laena (and Aemond) heard Vhagar’s call and followed it to claim Vhagar, who was living wild still. So the question becomes….yeah sure it’s possible that Rhaenyra would want to claim Vhagar but does Laena hear the call and chase Vhagar anyway? Does Laenor’s cradle egg perhaps not hatch, and Laenor hears Seasmoke and claims him? IDK, it’s kinda weird but interesting.

If we’re going with what EYE think is most fun here - I like the idea that Laena hears Vhagar and claims her and I think Aemon would be delighted by his oldest grandchild being gutsy enough to seek out Vhagar. I think Aemon might hope for Rhaenyra to claim Silverwing, but tbh I keep picturing Gael, Laena, and Rhaenyra going dragon hunting after not totally jiving with Dreamfyre, and Laena nags Vhaegar and Gael nabs Silverwing mostly by accident, so Rhaenyra claims Vermithor. But that’s just like, me loving my girls aksjd. Rhaenyra could go for Dreamfyre tbh, and maybe even Syrax hatches because Aemon gives Rhaenyra permission to choose an egg. Idk. There’s a lot of ways to handle this, and I would think Aemon is very aware of how many dragons he’s letting get claimed & hatched, more so than Viserys was, because Aemon was trained to rule for far longer, and by a father who wasn’t already aging and forgetting shit.

But what is Daemon doing……..I kinda want HIM to claim Seasmoke, like, just angry and following the call of some wild dragon that’s been traveling up and down the coast of Westeros, and claiming a dragon historically claimed by two (2) gay men. Lol, lmao. And similar with Laenor/Laena in canon, Aemon can’t like, say no once Daemon has claimed him - he just needs to keep an eye on the wild dragons and people getting too near them. Which is also why I lean towards “the girls go dragon hunting with Rhaenys” because Aemon wants the dragons claimed if they don’t want to nest in the dragon pit.

WEIRD DYNAMICS

Laenor, growing up crown prince, may feel much more confident in himself, more sure of his role at court. Rhaenyra still grows up at court, but potentially with the influence of her mother, Aemma, and her cousin and future good mother Rhaenys as mentors, AND Gael - even discounting my theory there, Alysanne hasn’t been traveling back and forth between Dragonstone and the capital so Gael is slightly more active and at court. Personally, I like the idea of her and Laena both sneaking off one night, tired of waiting for Laena’s marriage where she can claim a dragon, and just claiming Vhagar and Silverwing for funsies.

I do think on the whole, the Laenor and Rhaenyra probably have both a better dynamic, and a healthier outlook on life because there’s not such a hubbub about the succession, their private lives, or their own status. It’s also possible that Daemon & Rhaenyra have been so cut off from each other for so long, Rhaenyra never develops a real attachment to him, and with some better mentors around her and like, someone who actually cares about her well-being around, Rhaenyra has a more socially acceptable outlet for her brothel escapades lmao. On the other hand, of course, it’s possible that being so secure in her position for so long makes Rhaenyra feel she can get away with being a little wild, and Aemon/Rhaenys have her and Laenor married quickly and packed off to Dragonstone to go grow up.

I do think the court is probably like, more or less pretty chill until Rhaenyra & Laenor & Laena get old enough to start like, fucking around. You would think with some stability theyd all be slightly more serious the way Rhaenys is, but like, you can’t be truly sure lol. And that’s not even factoring in Daemon feeling abandoned in the Vale.

I chose Miyamoto as her last name because it has religious origins, and Satoka has Oka in it. Idr what it means lol

The damage had been done by Ryōko’s bullying and the betrayal of literally all her friends, and Komako developed trust issues and PTSD. It was years before she was willing to make friends or have a relationship again, and even then, she’s retained a fear of betrayal and only trusts her now-husband, from whom she took the last name Miyamoto. Komako’s stifling and paranoid mothering led to Satoka developing Komako’s fear of the world, but she found comfort in occultism and spirituality. Komako, being very traditional, didn’t and does not approve of this, nor of Satoka’s visual kei-oriented fashion sense and taste in music.

Satoka, or Oka to friends, is very shy and struggles to express herself. She gets bullied both for her spirituality and for her appearance at school, which makes her only more withdrawn. Other kids at school with similar beliefs or interests tend to find Satoka cute, such as Miyuji, a fellow vkei kid, or other spiritual kids at school. She’s very timid, though, which makes upkeeping friendships difficult as often her friends need to put in more effort than she seems to be. In reality, Satoka puts in a lot of effort to simply be present for her friends, and doesn’t always have much more to give.

Satoka is best described as a pagan, with her beliefs being a combination of Shinto, Spiritualism, Modern Paganism and older European Paganism. She believes in gods and demons, in deities of all kinds, in spirits and an afterlife, and she takes elements of worship from each of these. Her club is less a club and more a small religious community for students. Unlike the occult club of the 80s, it’s not for researchers but worshipers. She’s willing to attempt communication with any god who may provide guidance and not harm, and is a little afraid of the risk of harm, but when it comes to Sumire especially, the risk id outweighed by the fact that this is Satoka’s area of expertise.

I can’t for the life of me think why Satoka would have a crush on Taro, so maybe it’s something that Ayano misreads, or maybe there’s some other reason why Ayano thinks Satoka’s presence jeopardizes her theoretical relationship with Taro. I think maybe he offered to get her adjusted to school since she came several weeks late because her mother refused to let her go when people were “at their worst” just settling in for the first 3 weeks, and Ayano sees this and thinks Satoka is getting far too comfortable with Taro.

Since I’ve been trying to think about suitors for every rival, I think Satoka could have two: Shinji (Shin Hagaku) or Miyuji. I don’t see them as being a 3 way relationship, though, rather Satoka maybe ends up with one and then later with the other too. Miyuji and Shinji have little in common aside from their affection for Satoka, so I think they simply help each other along in their respective relationships with her.

I think the occult clubroom in my rewrite would look different than it does in canon- there might be talismans and statuettes from different religions around it, other religious or occult symbols aside from just the inverted pentagram, a circle of protection for seances on the ground, and a shrine dedicated to different deities on one end. On the other end across from it, after Satoka’s week, she would start constructing another shrine for Sumire alone, where the occult club would start every day with an offering to her to keep her happy and calm. If Satoka died during her week, then Sumire would continue to be upset and vengeful and haunt the school, but if she survives, then she and the club can start to appease Sumire’s spirit and close that thread of the story by giving Sumire peace.

Satoka wears a little vest over her uniform, which she wears mostly in black, and layered ripped tights. Outside of school, she dresses full visual kei. Her hair is messy from lack of brushing, which gives it its appearance, but her blue roots are of course dyed in, inspired more by the American trend of doing that than anything rooted in Japanese pop culture. She has a couple of piercings as well- lips and nose specifically.

Stranger Things dr dreams/Memories

3/14/24 It's been awhile, I know I've been focused on other drs. But I think Billy & Eddie miss me because I keep having dreams with them in it that could be memories. Firstly I obviously need to finish reading Eddie's ST book 'Flight of Icarus' because I had a dream that I was in Eddie's motorhome but it was huge! Then Eddie, his BFF Ronnie (who is not in the show) and I were taking these pills that looked like amber, they were performance enhancers but for musicians. Then Eddie layed down on the couch and I watched him, rubbing his head so he didn't fall asleep cause I was worried he would be unconscious. He got irritated at me for "babying" him, and then that manager Paige showed up and he became really happy and bounded up to her. While I just looked at her annoyed "Oh yeah you'll be nice to her." She wanted to talk but I refused saying I needed to be alone. I dislike her for good reason…The rest of the dream was all over the place and not Hawkins related. Though I think we were in California.

Speaking of…I'm pretty sure Mandy and Billy move there or already have because I had another dream where Billy and I lived in this big 2 story house (Think The Gilberts house from TVD) I also met Billy's older brother, pretty sure his name was Dacre lol, he looks like Billy but with wavy (not curly) light blond hair, wearing a leather jacket with a bunch of pins and buttons all over. I can defintly see where Billy gets his style and charm from. He was flirting with me and Billy was getting upset and Jelous. "Get your own girl." Then Billy pulled me into a room still upset, I managed to appease him by making out with him, until Eddie showed up who Dacre apparently knew because he gave him a big hug and said "Hey Eddie My man! how've you been?" They got to talking idr about what but then Eddie glanced upstairs where we were and told Billy's brother he had something to do. He headed upstairs and I'm pretty sure we had a threesome…I'm not sure if that was just me day dreaming though as I was starting to wake up.

3/23/24 Had a short memory of Steve and I sitting on a roof. Drinking, cuddling and watching the stars. Must have been when we were together. Then another one of Billy and I pulling Eddie and Chrissy from the upside down.

4/12/24

I had a memory while asleep of my dr self (Mandy) with Billy, Chrissy, Steve and Eddie. I'm sure it was during S4 and we were either at the Creel mansion or Nancy's house I'm not sure because all I saw was the bannister we were by. It was dark. We were getting ready to leave (I think Nancy and Robin had left already) Billy and Steve were arguing over who was going to drive. Steve snapped "It's my car I'm driving!" Billy shook his head but didn't say anything.

We got into the car, Chrissy first then me then Billy. Billy grinned, "Hey at least I get to be by the girls." Steve didn't look to happy idk why, we're not together anymore, I'm still with Billy. Steve probably still likes me oh well. Anyway I remember putting my hand on Chrissy's leg and Billy putting his hand on mine and giving each other flirty looks. idk where we were headed.

Update: After doing a reading I figured out where we were headed and why Chrissy was there. Since she died, or we thought she did. Turns out she's stuck in the upside down after we thought we lost her, we find out that Chrissy is alive. (after Billy jumps into watergate, he goes first instead of Steve) We help Eddie get her (via his trailer) where he finds her alone. Then we escape. We then drove to either reunite with Hopper or just go to his place. But we still have to face Vecna later on.

Also the conversation that took place between Steve and Eddie actually takes place between Billy and Eddie in my dr. Eddie thanks Bily for helping him and thinks he's metal for what he did to the bat (Billy gets the Ozzy reference) he then talks to Billy about me and that we need to make up. Which makes sense because in our relationship he is very much the peacemaker.

I also take Max's place in the beginning. I watched more episodes hoping to get memories but I got flashes and resonance from my Marvel dr instead lol (Since El's time at Hawkins Lab is similar to mine in Hydra.)

It's been a hot minute 'cause I've been focused on other drs!

But I had memories while doing a reading with Billy and Eddie. Firstly Billy and I are still engaged but I also think we have a child now or I'm pregnant… We're all still together but we've hit a rough patch, especially Eddie and Billy. We're in California now but Eddie's been persuaded by that scam slutty manager Paige, like I thought would happen…I think she tried to come onto him or he cheated when he was high & because of his career and money. I already had a feeling and we're young so I'm not too upset about it or as upset as Billy anyway…Billy feels betrayed and starts using again which we fight about, Dacre lends me an ear to talk to and in my vulnerable state we end up kissing, I don't think we go any further than that and he does apologize but Billy is still upset when he finds out. We make up though, him and Eddie are still on thin ice but they do still love, miss and think about each other a lot. Eddie and I are on better terms and I do forgive him.

I've never read Captain America comics. What are the comic differences to the mcu ?

For Steve specifically honestly not too much it's Bucky who got parts of him shaved off. Steve is pretty solid. They did move Steve from being from the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Brooklyn. Idk why maybe to escape the fact that Steve was definitely a communist. Kidding... mostly But they did shy heavily away from Steve's immigrant parents/first generation American status which was kind of important to the character.

Main big difference is it's frowned upon to let children fight in wars so Bucky was no longer a 12 year old soldier but a real adult who grew up as Steve's bestie.

The way Bucky died was also different. So the 60s death for Bucky was Steve and Bucky in 1945 were trying to disarm a missile/rocket thing but couldn't so they bailed out. Steve dropped off but Bucky's arm got stuck and Steve had already let go and couldn't get up to help him again and it was a whole disaster of him seemingly watching Bucky explode.

Bucky also famously trained Red Room assassins and was in a relationship with Natasha. I know lots of fans were bummed about this not being adapted.

Steve finding the Winter Soldier and getting Bucky his memories back right before Civil War that's all correct. Falcon and Sharon being there too yep.

The entire Civil War arc in the comics was on the basis of well established anti mutant sentiments. They didn't have this in the mcu so it was off the wall. The sides were correct. Steve opposed it Tony was for it. But then they kind of gave Sharon's grief (Winter Soldier killed a friend of hers) to Tony in the mcu. Tony in the comics didn't know about Bucky till after Civil War. Another main thing the MCU changed is that Maria Hill isn't an insanely evil person

Yeah so here's the big kicker uh the end of Civil War. So in the comics Steve while fighting Tony was doing it in the streets and the people of New York famously bigoted against mutants were begging Steve to stop. Realizing fighting Tony like this wasn't helping save anyone Steve surrendered. However as he was being escorted away he was shot and killed by Crossbones on Red Skull's order. Steve fucking died. Tony and a few other older Avengers reburied Steve in the arctic which is insane IMO.

And Tony in the comics did receive a post Civil War package from Steve like in the movie. However the package was a picture of Steve and Bucky with Steve's final request to Tony being to save Bucky. Cause 616 Steve had figured he might die during the Civil War event. Bucky, Thor, and Wolverine had also at that point in the comics vowed to avenge Steve. Then Mr Fanstastic or whoever revived Steve idr

Also "Infinity War" happened in 1991-1993 before all of the shit I just listed above which actually was completely different. The arc the Infinity War + End Game movie was the first one called Infinity Gauntlet which took place in 1991 and Adam Warlock was kind of glaringly absent lmao. Hulk sort of took over the Silver Surfer's role though which was cool ! Nebula's entire role in that disaster (she was also a bad guy) was taken out. They didn't do the actual 1992 Infinity War arc but clearly liked the name more LOL. And Steve is fine still to this day so !

Astarion's Big Day

I've been doing a multiplayer campaign with @justabiteofspite and I just. need to detail what happened across two in-game days of Astarion being the party face and fucking it all up.

So, to start it out, he NAILED his shit on the Nautiloid. He picked up Us, Spite's Tav, Catha, was able to get the flame sword (nice), and everyone escaped alive and with all the explosives I asked that we grab on the way.

Everything goes great until they hit the grove. When I say that we did NOTHING in the grove before I got us locked out. We entered, Astarion got a free ring from Mattis to remember his sin, then went to pay Kagha a visit. this is where everything immediately went sideways.

We're level 2 right? We're weak. Pathetic. We should not be doing anything but saying "Yes ma'am, no ma'am," but this is Astarion. He suddenly has freedom and he doesn't remember what consequences can be like not under Caz and unfortunately here, they're still pretty deadly.

So, Arabella didn't make it because Astarion tried to stay out of the Druid business, and that made him so mad. He tried to take the body to her parents and it caused the druids to turn. So, we killed Kagha, ran out and found the Druids just massacring the tieflings.

again, we are level 2.

Astarion tries to loot what he can and accidentally triggers the bears to see him, Lae'zel, and Catha. He sneaks the fuck off, the bears kill Catha AND Lae'zel, we do NOT have Withers yet and the game won't let me long rest without Catha being alive. So he has to sneak back into the grove, gets Catha, but leaves Lae'zel's dead body there, which meant the grove didn't close.

So they go back to revive Lae'zel, LEAVE HER THERE, make a beeline for the Goblin camp, and Astarion leads Minthara to the Druids. He steals the idol of Sylvanus, everyone gets to quickly rest so Minthara can come finish these assholes off, she does, and she wants to fuck Astarion real bad.

Catha did get a vision from selune that if Astarion didn't steal the idol of Silvanus before going to sleep, Minthara and ALL of the goblins would attack him and Lae'zel, then Catha and Shadowheart would enter initiative at a significant delay that caused this omniscient, omnipresent authority figure laugh forever before having to F8 because again...we were level 2 lol

Meanwhile, Catha and Shadowheart are making eyes at one another and Astarion is there egging on all of the Cleric of Seluna x Cleric of Shar drama. Like these two are what he watches when he's ready to wind down at night. They are his Days of Our Lives, and he sometimes will whisper shit in Catha's ear when he wants to see them go through a different storyline. She's real dumb, he will grow to love her, but he will fuck with her and give her ideas of shit to say.

Anyways we go to the goblin party and Astarion just gets BACK TO BACK sick burns. He had to gaslight Gale into staying, and the convo they had HOLY FUCK. I was speechless. Astarion was just standing there kicking rocks a little ashamed (not that he'd admit it, he was actually really angry) because that was scathing.

then he goes to talk to lae'zel who was FROTHING for him, then ends it with, "but I'M NOT GONNA FUCK YOU BC YOU IGNORED ME TOO MANY TIMES" like baby i'm so so sorry Astarion literally had her in the party instead of Gale TO talk to Zorru, but the shit with the Druids turning happened before I spoke to him and note to self do that shit first lmao

Astarion has to go spend the night with Minthy bc he needs ONE of these strong bitches to protect him, but her sex scene is. in the context of astarion's trauma, it was fucking triggering for him and so he wakes up day 3 angry, traumatized, and ready to just fucking go.

he did NOT like woodstock this year. too many bears. (i named the save file woodstock after the bear attack bc we had to pause there lmao)

they finally hit level 3 and it wasn't even by killing anyone. Idr what it was, but it was either discovering a place or just from a quest update lmao

So, level 3 made Astarion feel BALLER enough he started looking for a meal. Karlach wasn't edible, but she attacked first so they had to take her out. Astarion then led them to the Paladins of Tyr and just decided to start wiping them out. No convo. Only murder. He's feeling insecure and too vulnerable after his night with Minthy.

I have no idea who this man will end up with atp because the plan was gale, but shit went sideways real quick and i'm just going to roll with it organically.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall Thoughts: Chapters 38-42

Helen is plotting her escape, let's gooo!! But first, drama. I knew Lowborough would end up suicidal. The way Helen describes him struggling not to kill himself in the room the night after he discovers the adultery is bone-chilling. He's pretty serene all things considered, though. Forgives Helen fairly quickly for keeping him in the dark, turns out Hattersley's plot to "take care" of Huntington (lol), by the looks of it gives Annabella a generous alimony if she's able to keep partying in London. It made me sad that he's happy to keep his son but not his daughter (because she looks like her mother, I guess? idr what Annabella looks like) but the story is bleak enough as it is and unless I'm contradicted later I'm choosing to believe he gets over it for both of their sakes.

Hargrave... vindictive little scumbag. I'm so mad at myself for feeling bad for you. In a book full of hateable men it's impressive how quickly he made top of the list. I wanted to scream when Helen told him about her escape plans. For a second I thought he might help her... but of course not. I have to go back to the Gilbert parts and see if he calls Helen "his angel" because that's clearly a red flag (Huntington did it too, that much I remember). I hope he goes back to Paris and some french opera girl drains him of all his money.

Hattersley is all over the place in these chapters. Such a chaotic redemption arc. Offering Lowborough to be his fucking hitman (again, lol), defending Helen from Huntingdon when they think she's cheating with Hargrave (so many bloody H's in this book), encouraging Huntingdon to turn a new leaf while they ply his son with alcohol... I know he had that conversation with Helen about Millie not feeling anything a few chapters back, so it doesn't exactly come out of nowhere, and he loves his kids, and he's still a dick through his good moments (plying toddler Arthur with alcohol, calling Helen names even while defending her...), but it still feels sudden. And when did he start loving Millie to the point the idea of making her happy pushes him over the edge into reform? He only married her because she was a doormat, and he's been deluding himself into thinking she was dead inside (that or she has a poker face that would put Vegas out of business), and I know he's been strugggling with that, but still. I'm glad Millie gets a reformed husband by the end of this section, but wow. What a trip.

Huntingdon commitment to get worse is impressive. I was surprised he pawned Helen off to his friends. Again, I'd read Arthur wasn't phisically abusive, and it appears he never rapes her, but this sounds an awful lot like he's giving his friends leave to. I have a half-formed thought about how Huntingdon keeps making masculinity and power about viciousness. He's making a show out of corrupting little Arthur to hurt Helen, but I think he sincerely beleives it's making a man out of him, and if they were on better terms he'd be doing it covertly. "A Misadventure"... Hooly shit, if there was ever understatement. And a reason to title the following chapter "Hope Springs Eternal in the Human Breast"! If the book hadn't started after Helen made her escape it might have made me cry. The bitter, sinister delight Huntingdon takes in stripping Helen of every mean of escape, and how casually he's able to do it, how ties his masculinity to it... I don't understand how this book isn't better known. This should be taught at schools.

I hate the way nobody's allowed to talk about the abuse. I swear, this is 1984 with petticoats. Helen and Millie urging Esther to be careful who she chooses while insisting that they're happy themselves... It reframes all Helen's and Aunt Margaret's interactions from early in the diary, though Esther seems more receptive than Helen (thank god...). Helen trying (usuccesfully) to hide her unhappiness from Aunt Margaret is so sad. So is her guilt over giving her aunt grief in her old age. On brighter news, Frederick to the rescue! I knew something good would come of Huntingdon fucking off to London for half the year! I knew Lawrence was Helen's brother! It's gonna be fun when she finds out that Gilbert struck him in the face. It's gonna be fun when Gilbert realizes who he struck in the face!

Her backstory is mostly borne out of my own frustration at how mages and apostates are handled in dragon age bc its always they are 100% shunned by the "good" people and anyone who accepts them is evil and they are up to no good. So I made her a spirit healer (a bit like Anders lol) who lived in Orlais and was working at a brothel as a medical professional and a thief. I played Inquistion first as a dalish elf but I didnt really like how it all was handled... it felt kind of bad and I didnt really want to interact w that story anymore so instead I was thinking okay... what if she was a city elf lying about being Dalish... and then the whole swindler mage thing came to my mind lol. Also I liked the idea of a rags to riches story but about a person who was so wronged by society... like coming truly from the bottom... somebody who hates templars but who also hates all orlesian nobles too and then she had to parade around the palace trying to schmooze up to them... it was compelling....

Her personaly was once again kind of nothing honestly like she was cunning and kind but not much else... Very angry at the world too...

Soooooooooo. This will be a little wacky and not entirely clear because I’ve forgotten some people’s names so forgive me lol.

It all started maybe a century or two before the French Revolution happened, when Jesus appeared to this little French girl(Margaret Mary alacoque i think?? If I’m wrong I’m so sorry don’t quote me on that) and the gist of what he says is this: I want to shower blessings on France and the king, tell him to put my Sacred Heart on his standard(or like his coat of arms or whatever I don’t know names of things) and to dedicate France to my Sacred Heart. So bestie goes to the king who is like. Nah.(side note wth bro. God comes down and you’re like nah??? The heck is wrong with this king)

anyway so that was (probably) Louie the somethingerother probably because they were extremely creative with their names. Fast forward to the American revolution. Now, all these dudes are aight. We love them for fighting for the freedom of our country yada yada but there’s a problem. They kinda suck. Like half the founding fathers are freemasons(which is a whole other kettle of fish), and by half I mean more like all of them. Except John Carrol. Or maybe it was Charles Carrol Idr. They were cousins tho one of them was the first archbishop of America and the other was the only catholic dude to sign the declaration yknow fun times.

Anyway im getting distracted. So then we’ve got mr Lafayette from France, who went to France to get supplies for our dear revolutionaries and brought them back, from our dear French king. Idr which one it was but the point is he got aid from the French king to win this revolution against the British. Lafayette goes back to France at some point after the war, and this guy fans the flames of the communist revolution in France(it’s literally always communists starting bloody revolutions I swear). Like, against the guys who just helped him in america. Talk about a backstabber. Now I’m a little hazy on the details and I’m not sure entirely how the revolution was begun because your girl has forgotten(sorry), but I DO know that Lafayette was instrumental in it so screw him.

And dearest anon, onto the famous “let them eat cake”. Before we go onto that let’s talk about the lovely girl who was supposed to have said this. Marie Antoinette was married off to this French kid when she was like 14 or 15, she was a catholic and the lavish immorality of the French court was something she obviously didn’t approve of. But she figures that this stuff is her responsibility to deal with and (in some ways) take part in, especially since bestie has got like the entirety of the French court pressuring her.

Anyway TLDR she’s a lovely little girl thrown into this cesspool of French aristocracy and feels like she needs to fit in.

Then over in America at some point, we have frickin Benjamin Franklin, who most likely did not have a high opinion of Catholics, French people, and definitely not royalty. the rumor of Marie Antoinette saying “let them eat cake” came from that bastard(pardon my French). And so now everyone thinks that Marie Antoinette was just a disgusting hussy who didn’t care about anything but herself and how much she could take from the poor peasants of France.

I’m not gonna pretend that the French court wasnt really gross and SOMEthing needed to change, but the revolution murdered everyone from tiny children to their beautiful innocent queen, while American founding fathers mocked or ignored them. Or in Alexander Hamilton’s case, though we should help the revolutionaries. Anyway I could say a lot more about that but I’ve already talked too much lol, so thanks for the ask!!!
