The clock in Matthew's security cage reads 7:05, so of course I had to check out the corresponding bible verse:
"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." - Matthew 7:5
A reference to Jack and Alana's hypocrisy? They fault Will for "falsely accusing" Hannibal when they themselves are falsely accusing Will.
A reference to Hannibal's hypocrisy? Framing Will and then acting hurt when Will doesn't want to be his friend?
(Co-credit to @t3acupz! I never would have noticed the clock on my own.)

After a great deal of thought, here is my two cents worth on the allegations about Neil Gaiman.
I have been struggling with this, as, I am sure, many others have.
In my view, these women who are coming forward are genuine, despite it being on a right-wing outlet. My belief is based on NG's admissions of behaviours that, at best, were seriously misjudged. Also, Amanda Palmer's song
https://genius.com/Amanda-palmer-whakanewha-lyrics
It's very, very sad and disappointing, to say the least.
But I don't believe in completely canceling people. And here is why, if you will bear with me.
Protesting, expressing concern, boycotting are all excellent ways of registering opposition. They can bring about change.
Canceling people on the basis that they are irredeemably evil is counter productive. It allows for no debate. It leaves no room for redemption.
And it is also, very much, "casting the first stone".
It's the kind of behaviour favoured by fundamentalists and totalitarians.
It's predicated on a sense of moral superiority.
And it's nearly always focused on perceived sexual transgressions (including but limited to, "immodest" or "loose" women, divorceés but not divorcés, single mothers, women who have had abortions, members of the LGBTQ+ community, rape victims, etc, etc, etc, and, latterly, sexual predators).
Meanwhile, there is nary a whiff of outrage about the grievous offences committed daily in relation to other "sins".
Moral indignation is valid, of course, but, I would argue, needs to be tempered with the understanding that we are all capable of, and probably guilty of, truly reprehensible things. We should be honest enough to recognise this, even as we quite rightly recognise the pain of victims and the transgressions of others.
As a long-time lapsed Catholic, I still believe in the qualities of compassion, forgiveness, empathy and self-examination.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Since you alone are responsible for your thoughts, only you can change them.” ~Paramahansa Yogananda
The Buddha got it so much more accurately than Descartes. “With our thoughts, we create the world.” That’s extraordinarily profound. It’s also scary because if we’re not in control of our thoughts and where they take us, the world we create with those thoughts can become horrific. What we are witnessing in our world right now, with the resurrection of openly racist and in some cases literally neo-fascist views, can only have arisen as the result of people’s thoughts.
So if you want just a happy life for yourself, free from worries, anxiety, depression, anger, resentment, bitterness, and a score of other harmful and often self-destructive moods and emotions, you need to train your mind so it becomes less automatic, less conditioned, less distracted, and in its place, more under your direct control.
And if a good society or a sane, fruitful world is to become a reality this will require billions of people to develop control over their minds so that they do not fall prey to the influence of hateful demagogues. It starts with you. I know dozens of people who are politically engaged and active in what we’d call progressive campaigns, know what they oppose, and know what their idea of a good society is. But they’re not in charge even of their own minds, let alone able to convince others to change theirs. They display hatred and a total absence of compassion for their political opponents, celebrate every minor mistake the “enemy” makes, and generally demonstrate precisely the attitudes that they believe we need to eradicate if society is to improve.
If you want a love of life, which is simply a state of mind, you have to develop it. If you want peace of mind then do the work that brings you closer to it. Do not accept being a semi-automaton.
If you want a good society then it really does start with you. Gandhi was another one who got it right. “Be the change you want to see in this world”. You could add, more obviously “Train yourself so that you become the change you want to see in yourself”. Or in the words of another social radical “first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye”.

“We are presently dealing with the accumulation of a whole society that has worshiped its light side and refused the dark, and this residue appears as war, economic chaos, strikes, racial intolerance. The front page of any newspaper hurls the collective shadow at us.”
~ Robert A. Johnson, 'Owning Your Own Shadow: Understanding the Dark Side of the Psyche'
+
Jung, Christ and Gurdjieff on projection:
"When we allow ourselves to be irritated out of our wits by something, let us not suppose that the cause of our irritation lies simply and solely outside us, in the irritating thing or person. In that way, we simply endow them with the power to put us into the state of irritation, and possibly into one of insomnia or indigestion. We then turn around and unhesitatingly condemn the object of offense, while all the time we are raging against an unconscious aspect of ourselves which is projected into the exasperating object."
~ Jung

"And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
~ Jesus, (Matthew 7:3-5 King James Version)

"..from the very moment when each and every one of them acquires the capacity of distinguishing between 'wet' and 'dry', then, carried away by this attainment, he ceases forever to see and observe his own abnormalities and defects, but sees and observes those same abnormalities and defects in others."
~ Gurdjieff (Beelzebub's Tales, p1076)

Daily Devotionals for September 15, 2024 Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living Devotional Scripture: Proverbs 24:24-26 (KJV): 24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. 26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.
Proverbs 24:24-26 (AMP): 24 He who says to the wicked, You are righteous and innocent -- peoples will curse him, nations will defy and abhor him. 25 But to those (upright judges) who rebuke the wicked, it will go well with them and they will find delight, and a good blessing will be upon them. 26 He kisses the lips (and wins the hearts of men) who give a right answer.
Thought for the Day
People approve of righteous judges, but hold authorities in contempt who favor the wicked. Judges who reward evildoers with a light sentence will be cursed by the people and be judged severely themselves. The Bible tells us that there is a very strong penalty for perverting justice (Isaiah 5:20-24; Proverbs 17:13).
Judges need discernment from God in order to serve the people in a fair manner. Those who are motivated by self-interest are not in a position to receive wisdom from God, but are prone to deception. People of good character possess the most important qualification for sitting as a judge. They will bring forth justice when they rule in difficult cases.
We all must make judgments in life. Some Christians mistakenly believe that we should not judge others at all; but that is not what scripture teaches. Most of us are familiar with Matthew 7:1: "Judge not, that ye be not judged." If we look only at this one verse, we will feel guilty about making an evaluation of a situation. However, we need to look at the verse in its proper context: "…For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" (Matthew 7:2-5).
Jesus did not say we should never judge, but rather told us how to judge. This passage was part of the Sermon on the Mount, which began with the Beatitudes. "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7). If we want others to be merciful to us when we make mistakes, we must extend mercy to others. We should not judge by our feelings or impressions, but according to God's Word. "Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment" (John 7:24, NIV). If we see sin in our own lives, or the lives of others, we must not gloss over it or excuse it (and thus call evil good), but call it sin. Then, we are to repent of our sins and pray for others who are in sin, asking the Lord to forgive and deliver them. As we make these kinds of honest judgments, we bring help - and not condemnation - to those who are in sin. This will point them to the One who both loves and forgives them.
Prayer Devotional for the Day Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your Word. We do appreciate You teaching us to be kind and merciful. Lord, help us to judge fairly and correctly when we are called to evaluate a situation. May we have a heart to reach out and help people deal with their sin and help them find their answers in You. Lord, give us wisdom and discernment in dealing with others. Give us righteous judges in our land so that people will receive fair judgments. Be merciful to all of us and deliver us from evil. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen

1 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he turned again to the multitude, and did open his mouth unto them again, saying: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother: Let me pull the mote out of thine eye — and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly the cast the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Luke 6:37-42 KJV
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” is a powerful christian law used by Jesus in Matthew 7:1-6 from the Sermon on the Mount. It is part of a broader teaching by Jesus about judgment and is a meaningful reminder to focus on improving ourselves before judging others, as well as choosing the object of judgment. It's often interpreted within a religious context, and its meaning remains clear but cannot be applied more broadly to personal growth and ethical living.

THE ECCLESIASTICAL MAFIA: POST COLONIZATION (Module One - Volume One) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXuJBDxfd10
Genesis 5:1-5 5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Key Verse: Matthew 7:3-5 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Do the research. Connect the dots. Draw your own conclusions. I have drawn mines. Use discernment. Use common sense.
Hosea 4:6 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Ephesians 6:12 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
