I was abt to be like hey guys here's the clangen sprites for the main characters of spiraling upwards ^-^ but luckily I caught myself before I accidentally dropped some Massive spoilers by doing so lol. Anyways take Whimsygoose, Pumpkin, and Daisystar instead because they're so cutsies <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#rat rambles#spiraling upwards#warriors posting#idc if pumpkin has nothing going on except having a wife I Will make her relevant to the plot somehow mark my word#ok ok tbf whimsygoose and pumpkin will likely have similar levels of relevance since theyre both murtlepaw's clanmates#and both get a lil boost since I like them lol#well whimsygoose is the deputy's mate so it's not like he has no reason to come up#daisystar is very much relevant tho even if his screentime is probably going to be a lil limited#mostly because of ~plot reasons~#aka he gets real fucking paranoid over the course of the plot#oh also fun fact whimsygoose is deaf! guy who's always been loud looses ability to tell hes loud thousands found dead#and pumpkin is a lesbian and also my best friend and thats all that truly matters <3#oh unrelated but one of whimsygoose and thistlepeaks's kids ended up named fireice so thats fun#he is another guy who doesnt matter to the plot but I like him anyways he's silly#oh also daisystar is also gay he has a husband 👍#alas not all of the leaders are gay firestar (previously firenip) is alas probably straight#I wanna believe she could be bi or pan but thatd just make me feel more bad for blazebelly girlie was so in love with her#conestar is a lesbian tho and honeystar is. a weird one.#like she technically has a mate kind of but its more of a. coping mechanism for them both than anything?#long story short the clans first medic died a couple moons ago and his medic husband silentfleck and honeystar took it poorly#he was both of their closest friend and neither knew what to do with themselves afterwards#their current relationship is a mix of a rebound and a qpr sort of#theyre depression buddies who constantly worry eachother but know that if they vocalized this the other would mention their worries#andneither of them want to be confronted with their downward spiral directly so they just normalize it for themselves and eachother instead#so this is my long way of saying I have no idea what honeystar's sexuality is Ive thought abt it and I don't know what I wanna do with that#like Im leaning towards aro cause of my aro bias but I almost kinda wanna make her demiro or even pan#it doesn't rly matter to the main story tho so I've been not thinking abt it too hard for now#oh also speaking of aro characters I should mention murtlepaw's name is mispelled on purpose#as a kit murtle met a cat with a nickname and was like I want one of those and then made one up#so they just took turtle and replaced the t to combine it and their deadname

Warriors rewrite AU shit.
An AU where I take all the bad stuff in Warriors and make it good.
-Firestar is now a sassy bitch with anxiety-related anger issues. I remember rereading the first series and seeing how sarcastic and Fucking Done he was with everything and… I’m keeping that. He’s a snarky, funny guy now and the reason Bluestar doesn’t listen to him is because he’s blunt and abrasive. Let the man say Fuck.
-Sandstorm is no longer a generic hot girl. She is a grown ass woman with her own character and she Does Shit. She doesn’t immediately fall for Fire after he saves her and their relationship feels real. She is also three times the size of her husband. This is important to her character, trust me.
-Graystripe’s shit gets called out and he and Fireheart are Divorced by the end of Forest Of Secrets, with Longtail becoming the deputy after Whitestorm’s death. Instead of the subplot in Firestar’s Quest being about the ghost romance bullshit, it’s about Gray trying to rekindle his relationship with Fire.
-Tigerclaw is no longer pure chaotic evil. He has a motive beyond “get power” and it’s actually pointed out in the story that Bluestar sometimes makes questionable decisions, like making Fire and Gray warriors three moons early, apprenticing Cinder and Bracken to said underage warriors and generally not listening when she’s called out for something. Also, he kills Lionheart, who dies in the second book instead of the first.
-Smudge is actually upset about Rusty leaving and he tells all the other kittypets that Rusty got kidnapped by wildcats, which makes tensions between kittypets and clan cats even worse. Fireheart rarely goes near twolegplace anymore.
-BloodClan has been changed significantly and Scourge has received a complete overhaul. He’s brought into the story much earlier and his relationship with Tigerclaw is much more complicated. The reason he wants the forest territories is because among other things, there’s a TNR program in the city and his wife got spayed. He’s also a much better leader now, and the reason Barley left is because of how badly BloodClan was being affected by twolegs. Scourge is also really fluffy. Like, Cloudtail fluffy. This is important to his character.
-Bluestar is a flawed character. That is okay. Flawed female characters are a good thing, Warriors Fandom. There is nuance to her situation and she isn’t just some pure evil bitch. She is also gay for Yellowfang.
-Yellowfang is roughly the same, but her relationship with Raggedstar is actually called out as abusive. She also has a found family dynamic with Blue, Fire and Cinder.
-Cinderpelt actively chooses to be a medicine cat because she saw how Yellowfang treated her broken leg and began to look up to her as a role model. No more ableism. :)
-The Spottedfire crush thing is dead and buried and the Thistleclaw situation is handled much more delicately. Also, because Spottedleaf’s Heart ruined Thistleclaw’s character and his dynamic with Snowfur, I am swapping him out for a different character, probably an OC. You’re welcome.
-Snowkit lives but Speckletail dies. Neither of them can exist at once, it would damage the timeline irreparably.

i would love to see more about bb!crowfeather, if you haven’t done a post about him already? (i tried digging but couldn’t find one, dunno if that’s just tumblr search being broken tho)
I'll make him a big summary post once I've settled on a design I like for him, I'm stuck up on if I want him to be smooth or spiky. So here's a little doodle page + some casual notes
Tumblr media
Me: "I'm not a fan of projecting real world culture onto BB redux cats, and if I ever was giving a character an in universe accent it would specifically be to give the smartest character on screen a very thick northern english one to stick it in the face of the way southern english accents are associated with intelligence"
Also me: "but crowfeather is italian"
BB!Crow is pretty different from canon
My Crow is a very passionate guy, it's never lost from his young warrior days. Many of the late Po3/early OotS moments where Leafpool is confessing her love in front of his wife and children are from him to her instead
Mudclaw and Torear are some of the best cooks in WindClan during the late Thistle Period. Crowpaw was super close with his mentor Mudclaw, and picked this up from him
For the Great Journey, Crow mashed up his personal collection of mealworms to make tunnelbun rations for everyone
And SPEAKING of the Great Journey, he was already a warrior at the time. His name was Crowfoot, for his mom and dad
Both Dead and Ash were old friends of Bluestar, members of the forget-me-nots.
Ashfoot shared this with him when he was young, and also that Tigerstar was responsible for killing his dad
This feeds into some changes I'm making to have Crow be slightly less frustrating during the Journey. He's still angry, short tempered, and dramatic, but MUCH less openly antagonistic
Squilf and him are usually involved in food related escapades, youll see when I finish the notes of TNP
Feathertail's death changes everyone. Crow most of all.
Crow is an impulsive young warrior. He throws himself headfirst into things, often forgetting that he isn't the only person in the world who matters. Feathertail felt like cool water, reminding him how to slow down and take a breath
The romantic affection was mutual, but imo I don't think it would have lasted.
But no one will ever know if it will, least of all Crowfoot, who is convinced that they both died that day in the mountain
Tallstar’s final name is Crow's honor title; Crowfeather.
And then Leafpooooooool
When she ultimately isn't willing to, like, throw away everyone she's ever loved and go live in the wildnerness with him, Crowfeather loses his marbles, convinced now that Actually He is Unlovable
And still he gets with Nightcloud, thinking that he can't possibly be hurt any more, he must re-prove his loyalty after he vanished for a week... it really was a pretty knee-jerk choice he didn't think through and rationalized post-hoc
No consideration for Nightcloud here.
This post isn't about Nightcloud btw but she is actually pretty reduxed too. The fact she was involved in the raid to kill Onewhisker is politically relevant to Breezepelt later
And Breezy, poor fucking Breeze
Crow is a garbage dad. Breeze is really not in a good environment with him and Nightcloud.
Through points in Po3, before Breeze becomes the villain who kills Firestar and sees a redemption in AVoS, I am planning several moments to establish that Breezepaw is perfectly capable of being a loving cat if he was in a better life situation
To Crowfeather's benefit, age will do wonders on mellowing him out.
He does tend to struggle with compassion though, and remains a pretty harsh character for most of his life.
Crow wanted to be a Light in the Mist to even begin to apologize to Breeze, but Breeze knocks him out lmao no more Crowf worship thanks erins
Anyway. Onto design stuff
Hollyleaf and Breezepelt look a LOT like grandpa Deadfoot, but I'm not sure if I want Crowfeather to look a lot like him
I'm leaning towards him looking like Ashfoot detail-wise but have Deadfoot’s face.
Btw you can observe, here, the WindClan Tail Tuft.
Most WindClan cats have a lighter-colored tail tuft to help them be seen in tall grass, it's a feature like the ThunderClan Mane you may have noticed in a lot of my TC cats.
Ashfoot and Morningflower have a cloudy swirl on their tails, and a "whispy" sort of vibe. Deadfoot and his dad Chicorynose have a dragon-arrow.
Holly got the dragon arrow because She Deserves It
I'm fond of this redux lmao, let men be dramatic

why do you want to get rid of tigerdove instead of trying to fix it??? no shade or anything.
TW// GROOMING, MANIPULATION because quite honestly, there's nothing there to fix. it's just bad from the bottom down. i've seen really great rewrite aus that age tigerheart down to dovewing's age, so that they pursue each other as apprentices, which is something i considered doing since it doesn't really change much in terms of the story. however, i've come to the realization that the age gap isn't the only thing wrong with the relationship. That aside, Tigerheart is very manipulative and awful towards Dovewing, throughout the entirety of the time they've known each other, and even now that they have kits. Someone in my TigerDove is grooming post brought up a great example of how he even went out of his way to have a whole incel breakdown to Ivypool when she stood up for herself and cut off their relationship when he was trying to pressure her back in.
Tumblr media
("Your sister who I've groomed since she was 13 put her friends and family over me" is a crazy thing to say and rage about btw. People like to say that bumbledove is worse for the incel stuff, have completely forgotten that Tigerheart, or many men in the series really, throw a fit when they don't get what they want. It's just worse when you keep in mind that he spends 4 books isolating and manipulating her into a relationship with him since the moment she was a child, and lovebombing her when she fights back. See: their argument about Dawnpelt in The Last Hope). People seem to have this misguided view that Tigerheartstar is this sweet himbo blorbo who loves his wife and kids, when in reality he's the complete opposite. Canon establishes him as someone who is very sneaky and great at manipulating the people around him to get what he wants. This isn't just an "Ivypool is biased" thing (though I do admit that she does hold some), it's just canonically established as the type of person tigerheart is.
Tumblr media
(This actually isn't the first time someone points it out in the book, though I decided to stick with Squilf since she is a lot more reliable than someone like Bramblestar LOL). While it's certainly true that he cares a lot about his family, to the point where he selfishly puts them above everything else, it's also true that he just isn't the best father. Let's not forget how he actively victim blamed Shadowsight for being manipulated by Ashfur, and ordered him to constantly remain in close proximity to care for someone who took advantage of him. Between that and him kicking out nomads from their own territory, Tigerheartstar can be interesting in the way that he's consistently written as having these glaring flaws such as poor judgement and selfishness. Which, as much as I hate the guy, I do like that about him, and therefore wish to keep that in. However, I run into 2 problems. To start off, I don't feel comfortable writing a grooming relationship in my rewrite, it's not a subject I wish to touch. Second of all, even if I do age down Tigerheartstar, I really don't want Dovewing to be trapped in an abusive relationship, especially since her arc is about escaping that. It wouldn't make sense for her to escape to the same clan of the guy who manipulated her. It honestly makes more sense if they just remain good friends, not every forbidden meetup plot line needs to be romantic (like Firestar sneaking out to meet Princess). Maybe there will be a point in time where Tigerheart(or Goldenheart/paw in my rewrite) tricks Dovepaw for herbs or something, but it's established as awful on his part, and it very much nearly ends their friendship, which serves as a small wakeup call for him (Goldenheart is very spoiled in my rewrite so he's just used to doing whatever to get what he wants even at the expense of others). I don't know though, I still need to workshop it. TLDR: Outside of the massive age gap, similarly to relationships like BrambleSquirrel, TigerDove is unintentionally written to be too toxic (in this case it's grooming) for me to try and fix. "Fixing" TigerDove, would be "fixing" Tigerheartstar, which you really can't do, since him being awful is just his character. I really don't feel comfortable trying to pretty up a grooming relationship anyways, best to cut it out. edit: i decided the "evidence" i used with jayfeather wasn't exactly accurate in showing what I was trying to say, and that it would be best to cite from a more recent book. so i decided to replace it with an excerpt from Squirrelflight's Hope. dont get me wrong though it's still very much an example of him being antagonistic in the series even way back during OOTS.

I am 👀 at Milktail
please tell me more about her
Milktail
My Enemy Milktail!
Tw for kidnapping
A pure white molly with green eyes, shredded ears, and heavy scarring on her back leg. Born in Shadowclan under Brokenstar's leadership to another OC, Frostwave. Frostwave only had a single kitten, and although she did not approve of Brokenstar's methods of... Acquiring more... She would never say no to another mouth to feed. And Brokenstar knew it.
He took kittens from Rogue groups, and personally indoctrinated some. Spiderclaw, Batclaw, Oakstripe, Lizardsong and Nestfur are all examples. Each one turned out differently...
The other is Elmfeather, or Elmkit as he was known when he was small.
Elmkit was passed off to Frostwave when he was brought to Shadowclan's camp, and she immediately took him in. Milk-kit... Hated him. She didn't like that he was getting her mother's attention. Then it turned into this outsider getting her mother's attention...
She is made Milkpaw by Nightstar and assigned to Scorchwind. Scorchwind... Ain't great. He supported Brokenstar for the most part (which is hilarious seeing as his wife cheated on him with the guy). He teaches Milktail to channel her anger into strength, that she has the "right" to be angry over her brother.
Before he tells her about cuckoo birds. Anyways, how about we go on a border patrol?
She is named Milktail by Tigerstar when he takes power. She fully supports Tigerclan, and hopes it will mean the death of her brother.
Nevermind that she has new siblings, Nightkit (Nightwing) and Wildkit (Wildfur), and Frostwave has just died from sickness. Nevermind that two of her siblings, Woodkit and Silverkit, died in that same sickness, the 4 born far too early. She doesn't care. All she can think about is what her "fake brother" has 'stolen' from her.
Elmfeather has done nothing wrong, but it doesn't matter. She hates him.
Elmfeather flees to Thunderclan, and after Tigerclan falls apart, she goes to the newly appointed Blackstar, and begs for forgiveness. "Blinded by hatred" she says to him. She won't ever let it happen again. Shadowclan is her truest love, and she only wishes to still be part of it.
In his defense, she was popular. She was liked. She was forming a bond with Daykit, Flintfang and Fidgetflower's little one. When Daykit was made into Daypaw, they were given to Milktail, as a sign of good will towards her. She had Shadowclan fooled.
She remained good with Daypaw, teaching them lots of battle tricks and hunting tips, strict but on her best behavior. Daypaw became Daywhisker, and Milktail never spoke to them again.
She is made Deputy after the retirement of Boulder during Starlight.
She lured Blackstar into a double trap with the help of Mistfang, Tigerstar's sister, who got Ashfur to help them out.
Firestar and Blackstar were shoved into fox traps, Birchpaw gets Brambleclaw to come to the lakeshore, but he bumps into Elmfeather on the way. Elmfeather, having mentored Sootfur after Longtail was blinded, has also qualified for deputy, not that he wants it...
And Brambleclaw freezes. In the Chaos, Elmfeather explodes out of the bushes, snarling at his sister. She immediately flares with rage, fighting with him. The two grapple, biting and clawing one another until...
Elmfeather forces Milktail backwards, dunking her head into the water and nearly drowning her. She plays possum one last time, but when she springs back up, Elmfeather is prepared, and her throat meets his teeth.
Blood is spilling Blood, and when Milktail falls back into the water, the Lake begins to turn pink.
She goes to the Dark Forest, Mistfang not far behind her. They walk together in darkness until Tigerstar calls on them.
Later, during The Great Battle, Milktail gets one last showdown with Elmfeather, now older and grayer. She brutally wounds him but manages to get an upper hand on her, chasing her to Riverclan land and catching up with her, rolling them until he is on top of her, the soft riverbank partially giving way, making them slide back. Milktail's head dunking into the water, Elmfeather pushing forward and finally drowning her in the river. Her oily black blood runs through the river and into the Lake once more. The last thing she sees is Elmfeather's eyes, full of disappointment.
He wanted a sister.

Same anon from the long post one.
I like the idea but some of seen too much (Don't think I hate you please 😭, a lot Wc fans can't handle criticism sometimes and go right to you thinking if someone criticizes them/or their art they must hate the person)
Maybe because just I'm bramblestar and squilf's fan, I could be bias but I wish Brambleshade is more than just a dick? I understand you hate him and that is fine but making his whole character as nothing but a character with all flaws (that what I got from reading your post, not trying to assume anything, don't change your AU just because I or anyone said so, it's your work do what you want) seem lame to me.
He is seem more to have nothing but flaws, I don't see him doing a lot of those. Him trying to exiling Squirrelflight seems something he won't do at all and have.Again no hate toward you, I think your AU could be nice to some people but not for me. Not because of you, it just seem every AU with Brambleclaw, he is same character over again.
He is either a evil, good for nothing cat who is only there to have power of three plot to happen or like I said before a man wife.
again no hate to you but the AU isn't for me but I can definitely see other people liking, maybe I would like more if you make a fanfic about it, who knows. Again I'm not saying cant have a bad/ a character you don't like befit anyone's view because it's your fanfic, all that. It's up to you.
It just seem repeat from every other AU about or around Bramnleclaw. I hope to see ur AU grow ever through I don't like some of plots in it ❤️ /ih
yeah, i understand lol! since i haven’t written anything, it’s just an outline, the characters may seem very shallow or one dimensional :) i do want to give brambleshade good qualities — in the beginning he IS good. firestar made him deputy, after all, so he must have seen leader qualities within brambleclaw. however, the intent behind this au is to add small things i like, and make canon work. a lot of plot threads and character choices in warriors are… weird, to say the least. the goal with brambleshade is to make his canon character work. in the new prophecy, he’s kind of annoying, but he’s a good guy. he’s noble, and strong, and caring. but he DOES act petty and rude to squilf after the reveal of the three’s heritage (which personally, i feel he’s within his rights to do, for the lies she led him on with), he DOES act like the three aren’t his kids after (which is so dumb to me), and he DOES use his power as a leader to set up situations to make squirrelflight look disrespectful or dumb. he puts her in dangerous situations, forces her to choose her morals over his orders (thinking of squirrelflight’s hope here), and punishes her for it.
listen, in my head, my brambleclaw is a good guy. he’s a good cat-husband, a good dad, and a good if somewhat bland leader. in my head, he’s goldenflower’s son and he acts like it. but if i put HIM in THIS au, sooo many plots simply wouldn’t happen. to match the flow of canon, i’d have to create new plots and villains and honestly? i don’t want to haha. i’m still in school, i don’t have a whole lot of time to dedicate to this. so, i’m sticking with mostly canon overarching plots and doing what i need to make it work. and in canon, bramblestar sucks. they make him cruel and vindictive and a horrible mate to squirrelflight, sometimes he outright constructs narratives to come up with reasons to be mad at her. it’s crazy. personally, i see it as them ruining him to create a new antagonist, but they refuse to make him a villain, so no one recognizes or checks his behavior. it’s so infuriating, i wish the authors would pick a characterization. stick with the intended brambleclaw and actions that make sense for him, or stick to him going “evil” and acting insane (aka how he acts in squirrelflight’s hope).
so, to make canon work, bramble is good, then “bad” (acting within reason, but the protags are his not-kids who he’s being rude to, so he’s perceived badly), then bad. he’s not meant to be evil, he isn’t ashfur or anything. but the story is meant to show that he is heartbroken, and emotionally vulnerable, and embraces a vindictive part of himself he’s never let air (which IS canon, his thought process on if he should kill firestar in sunset or not is genuinely disturbing lmao). then he gets his mate back. and THEN he is killed, possessed, mentally violated. this RUINS him. he is not mentally stable, and this allows for squirrelstar to happen. i can very well just kill him at the end of the broken code instead, it achieves the exact same result. if that’s what you guys prefer, that works for me :) the intent of bramblestar trying to exile squirrelflight for “betraying” him is to show how he’s degraded, kind of like bluestar in arc 1, and give way for the audience to see the new code rule (stripping a leader of their power) . that’s kind of what i meant by “you won’t like this if you like brambleclaw” lol. i dislike his canon character, but in my head hes just a little guy. he’s got great potential and i love him. but that has no place in this au, because conflict is NEEDED.
i hope this doesn’t come across as defensive !!! just trying to explain why i made the decisions i did :) i really appreciate your thoughts and you sending them to me! the entire point of me sharing this blog is to receive suggestions and criticisms.
my intent isn’t to make brambleclaw evil, just an antagonist. i like to imagine if i have him die before squilf gets her lives, like in the final battle of tbc (idk what he’d die to yet though, haven’t reread those books yet), he’d regain mental clarity in starclan and give her a life, for love. <3

You'll probably talk about it in this week's comics, but what do you think about the big reveal of Boy Thunder's identity in this week's Batman/Superman? Is there anything to be gained for that character with this new backstory?
Lots to talk about this week!
World's Finest #10 - Boy Thunder's identity at last has been revealed as Magog, or at least he's the kid who will eventually grow up to be Magog. I actually had predicted the reveal beforehand when I was puzzling over who David could possibly be - Waid had mentioned he was a character he had written before - and suddenly a lightbulb went off in my head. What big story had Waid written involving Superman and the Joker before? Kingdom Come! And someone else even pointed out to me that Magog's civilian name was David! Makes sense that Waid would return to what is arguably the biggest contribution he's made to the Super Mythos in Magog and try to flesh him out as a character. Other writers have made attempts to use Magog as an ongoing Superman Rogue outside of Kingdom Come and it's never worked for me. The takes were too boring or one note, failing to convince me this was someone with more stories to tell. Waid is the first one to grab my attention, Magog as Superman's "Red Hood" is the first time I've wanted to see more of him.
Batman vs. Robin #4 - Waid's portrayal of magic here, and why Batman sucks at it, is a great moment. Makes him writing Shazam even more exciting because it seems like he has thoughts on how magic should work. Otherwise this has been fine, a cut above Dark Crisis, but hampered by how much of it is already well trodden grounds.
Dark Crisis #7 - Sucked. There's two cool moments, Black Adam empowering everyone else to beat Deathstroke and Waller revealing her team at the end, but the rest of the book is a total bore. Nightwing... doesn't do anything really, the multiverse is infinite (again, for the third fucking time) but there's no reason to care, and the legacy heroes failed to accomplish anything of worth. Jace pushed a button and then dipped, Yara didn't get any cool standout moments, only Jon had a good showing taking on all of the DC Big Bads at once. Speaking of them man what a waste of a cool concept, they did nothing, they didn't kill anyone, and Darkseid just goes back to ruling Apokolips afterwards. If this was meant to spotlight the legacy heroes it failed, nobody is reading this and thinking they're all that important. I want to know what Composite Bizarro's deal is, otherwise I've already moved on. What the hell was the deal with “Earth Alpha” anyway? Remember that? Williamson set that up as a major mystery of Infinite Frontier and never resolved it!
Nightwing #99 - Other than whatever is in Nightwing's box in the hold, I'm struggling to think of what plot threads Taylor could do for the big 100 issue. Clearly a marriage is not happening any time soon, will it just be Dick gathering the Titans together for the bold new era of NTT nostalgia?
Stargirl: The Lost Children #2 - It is night and day compared to the Johns writing JSA. This is the good Johns, the guy who loves these C-Listers and can make you fall in love with them too.
X-Men Annual #1 - Good character story that gives Firestar an arc where she comes to terms with her mutant identity.
Strange #9 - Do people care about the Sentry anymore? Feels like the hype from his usage during the Bendis era has long since worn off. Otherwise another great issue, we've seen a lot of wife guys but Clea as a husband gal is refreshing.

(Petty rant cause it was annoying me so much in this arc) They keep saying Bramblestar is brave and noble like Firestar but literally what has he actually done since becoming leader? The most iconic thing he's accomplished is dying and getting possessed. He's managed to only lose 1 life, the same number as Tigerstar and Harestar who are half his age and been leaders for barely 2 years, if that. He's never so much as put himself in a situation where he could have even an accident, let alone stuck his neck out enough to die helping someone like every other leader but especially firestar. The only times he's done something is when he's part of a group where others did as much or more and yet never get the same recognition. Squirrelflight runs the clan's daily life and I can't think of a time that he had his own ideas or done anything against the grain when he wasn't being the bad guy or an obstacle, which he's been multiple times. How brave and noble...
I completely agree
He’s just a bland leader imo, he has never done anything particularly of note as his time as leader apart from make that addition to the warrior code, but that in itself isn’t really considered noble, let alone brave. The thing that’s sticks out to me most about his time as leader is that time he didn’t let a dying cat receive medical treatment in order to spite his wife, which is the complete opposite of being brave or noble. I hate how they keep trying to push this brave and noble stuff, even if Squirrelflight’s Hope didn’t happen he would still be an average leader (Squirrelflight’s Hope only serves to present him as a bad leader in my eyes). If they have their heart set on making him out to be this great guy the really need to show not tell, although at this point I think his character is largely unsalvageable in many fan’s eyes.
If any current leader should be repeatedly called brave and noble it’s Leafstar

Ok headcanons for the main man himself fire!
Canon Firestar headcanons!:
moonkitti voice* Fireman
He’s a very interesting guy, to say the least. Not in an outstanding way, but more of like,,
When you pass a very aesthetically pleasing stranger. He gives me those sorts of vibes.
Like he’s a guy on the street who’s very striking and well-dressed, but his vibes are still of a flustered artist who can’t discern left from right because he’s running on two hours of sleep, coffee, and pure spite he absorbed from osmosis from his badass wife who has been awake for longer
As Firepaw, his memory fucking sucked, and coupled with his unfortunate naivety, it wound up with him breaking some minor warrior code rules quite often, or doing something that the Clans generally looked down up, or just forgetting someone’s name. He eventually got better with both, but his early apprenticeship was just especially difficult
He’s an absolute bisexual mess and he’s had (mostly fleeting) crushes on a whole slew of cats in his Clan, especially older warriors - and even Tigerclaw for a hot second before he found out about all the murders and what a terrible person the guy was
He was absolutely devoted to his wife; while he had a bunch of crushes, Sandstorm was the only one who ever truly held his heart
He also absolutely adored his daughters to pieces
But while his family was always a massive point of light in his life.. his duties as leader always came first

⭐️ (for the ask)
Best Leader -
Firestar
for all his faults and the fact he's kinda boring now, he's also never intentionally gotten into unnecessary drama that put his Clan in danger
all drama was caused by outside forces and he really did want what was best for his Clan, though I have my complaints about his choices of deputy after Whitestorm died ngl
also Leafstar's a decent leader I don't take criticism
/
Worst Leader -
aside from antagonist leaders [Brokenstar, Tigerstar I, Leopardstar, Blackstar] which I won't count here
I would have to say either Bramblestar or Raggedstar
Bramblestar, when not getting his way, holds his power over people and he tries to be the loudest voice in the room. The fact it took so long for cats around him to realize Bramblestar wasn't Bramblestar in TBC speaks volumes to me ngl
Raggedstar is similar in the way that he holds his power over others, he's so consumed by his own ego that he can't see past his own muzzle for even a moment.
And as much as I love Cloudpelt, his nepotism of making his former apprentice, his new wife, and then his own son deputy speaks to the type of guy he is. Plus his horrific treatment of Yellowfang.

I was wondering what you are going to do with the political opinions of some of the ThunderClan cast in Bluestar's Prophecy, where Thistle Law is being set up as rising in the Clan? I was thinking of a few cats in particular. First Adderfang, who is Thistleclaw's mentor and is shown in BP to be quite the war hawk, I imagine he could be set up as inspiring Thistleclaw and supporting him later even if he's not as extreme as his apprentice. And also Snowfur - she is shown to enjoy fighting a lot and dies impulsively rushing into battle despite fan perception of her being the "tragic soft wife whose death made Thistleclaw lose his innocence" or whatever, she could be set up as an early Thistle law supporter, maybe at first Bluefur feels uncomfortable with her politics and hanging out with Thistleclaw who is worse but is more strongly opinionated about how horrible dehumanizing other Clans are when she meets the forget-me-nots.
And Sunstar; I don't like how in canon, even though we are told he battled a lot for Sunningrocks and supposedly admired Thistleclaw enough to want to make him deputy, he is still treated by the narrative as a Heroic Leader who isn't at all part of the toxic battle culture of the Clans because ThunderClan leaders always have to be good guys even if it makes Bluestar and Firestar's beliefs no longer especially noble but just what Good Guy Clan always does, plus they make it so he wasn't actually planning to make Thistleclaw deputy so Sunstar doesn't look bad, even if it ruins Bluestar's character arc. I think it would be interesting to portray him as a traditionalist who values fighting for territory often, who sees Thistleclaw as a great warrior by his standards but isn't comfortable enough with his extremism (traditionalism differing from Thistle Law) to be sure he wants him over Bluefur, I wonder what you are going to do with him?
By the end of the Chivalric Period, each of the four principles that go on to define Thistle Law are in place. Like fertile soil, all it needed was a bad seed to take root, finally uniting the ideas as distinct from Traditionalism.
Rigid Hierarchy was first displayed in response to SkyClan's exile and Ripplestar's rebellion. Extreme Xenophobia was suckled by Oakstar's crusades. The Code Hardened during Heatherstar's campaign. There Is No Pointless Death formed around all of these things.
Adderfang is what you might consider by the modern day's standards as an early contributor of Thistle Law, though like you said he's not quite as radical. He's the sort of person who would have been a strong supporter of Oakstar's crusades, if he'd been given the chance to be on one. If you grabbed a time machine and pulled him to the Thistle Era, he would approve of Tigerstar generally but find Stonefur's execution dishonorable.
A lot of pre-Thistle Law "Hardened Traditionalists" are like that, if that makes sense. They aren't quite there yet but you can see the ideology branching off, like a terrible evolution.
One of my oldest and strongest opinions is that Snowfur is not a sad little innocent baby. Thistleclaw hardened her with his beliefs and she went along with it willingly, meeting her death chasing a defeated opponent over the border.
And what would she have done if she caught that warrior? Mauled them? Killed them on their own land? Bluefur realizes something changed about her sister, like something else had sprouted in her mind.
Sunstar
That retcon MASSIVELY bothers me too. It ruins everything about EVERY choice Bluestar's ever made if there was no chance he would have picked Thistleclaw; it was all going to be fine, Mosskit died for no reason, there was no real danger so Bluefur has just been a paranoid wreck for her entire life.
No more good person/flawless leader. We are all subjected to the values of the societies we live in. Good people in bad systems have power act through them just as much as they can act through power.
And Sunstar was NOT like Tallstar, with his unprecedented peace deal. Sunstar fought for Sunningrocks often, pushed for the honor of ThunderClan, and was legitimately making a difficult choice between the two cats.
Since she was his apprentice, Sunstar did prefer Bluefur... but when she produced three sireless kittens and Thistleclaw started throwing accusations of a half-clan relationship, suddenly he had a nightmare on his paws.
Thistleclaw was defying the Queen's Rights and Sunstar leapt in to formally remind him about it... but the Clan was changing. He couldn't stop them from talking about it in hushed tones. Was he going to punish half the Clan? ...what kind of a leader would do something like that?
The Code has been added to in the past... that could mean that perhaps there are some laws worth challenging.
And, in his mind, how could he pick Bluefur when the Clan was so divided about her? While she was suckling kittens, in such a harsh winter?
In this Rewrite, it is a real choice.
Is it Thistleclaw, the brave and powerful warrior, who has a disrespect for some aspects of the Code?
Or is it Bluestar, his level-headed and dependable disciple, who disrespects other aspects of the code?
The Clan is split down the middle. It will have to be one or the other. Sunstar must make his pick for the future of the Clan.
He selects Bluestar, but not until after her great sacrifice.

He has escaped the villainous clutches of Dr. Octopus, the Kingpin, the Hobgoblin, the Green Goblin and even Kraven the Hunter, but the friendly neighborhood Spider-man was finally snared on June 5, 1987 before a sellout crowd of 51,402 at New York’s Shea Stadium.
The superhero’s co-creator Stan Lee was there to join the web-slinger to his longtime love, model/actress Mary Jane Watson in weblock. The wedding party included Spidey super friends Firestar, Iceman, the Hulk and Captain America. The Green Goblin made a rare return-from-the-dead appearance. The bride and groom entered through centerfield in separate limousines, making their way to the white heart-shaped altar from which Stan the Man presided over the ceremony.
“Now, in the sight and presence of a coterie of our other costumed crusaders, please prepare to recite your vows,” announced Lee. “Do you, Spider-man, being of sound mind and super body, take Mary Jane to be your lawfully wedded bride, forsaking all other superheroines? Do you promise to never leave footprints on the ceiling, or cobwebs in the corners? And do you agree to pinch-hit for the Mets if they ask you?” Spider-sense tingling, the groom replied, “I do.”
“Mary Jane, do you, being of sound mind and spectacular body, agree to forsake other masked Marvelites,” Lee continued, “to never, ever swat a spider, and to hug, comfort and kiss away any bruises incurred after a long day of bashing bad guys—and stay out of the Mets’ locker room?”
After a moment’s thought, Mary Jane echoed, “I do.”
“The rings please,” said Lee, “”Repeat after me—With this ring I thee web,” and both participants did so.
“By the power vested in me by Marvel Comics,” said Lee, “I now pronounce you Spider-man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
With this, Spidey carried the new Mrs. Peter Parker off to their limo and they drove off to tumultuous applause. The remaining superheroes and villain hoisted Stan Lee on their shoulders and carried him off the field.

FIRESTAR FIRST
Sexuality Headcanon: literally so bisexual oh my god
Gender Headcanon: guy fieri shirt
A ship I have with said character: firestar’s had a long and complex series of relationships. he had a brief unreciprocated crush on spottedleaf, briefly dated graystripe, married and divorced onestar, and has lived a relatively peaceful married life with his beloved wife sandstorm.
A BROTP I have with said character: i love and cherish every friendship that firestar has but special shout-outs to longtail, cinderpelt, princess, and yellowfang
A NOTP I have with said character: longfire and firecinder. i see spottedfire Only as a crush that firestar had and absolutely loathe the idea of spottedleaf liking him back for obvious reasons
A random fact: he is perfect
General Opinion over said character: in a series with so many fascinating and complex characters sometimes it’s nice to just smile and be like. man. firestar is cool :)
NOW THEN. GRAYSTRIPE.

A ship I have with said character: uh graysilver? i guess? don’t really. like the fridging tho. ok actually i probably don’t ship this
A BROTP I have with said character: firestar, monkeystar and the rest of warriorclan, and gremlin
A NOTP I have with said character: i don’t pay enough attention to graystripe ships to have an opinion on this actually
A random headcanon: he splits his time in starclan between the lake and warriorclan. occasionally warriorclan has to ask him questions
General Opinion over said character: i really truly don’t hate him as much as a lot of people seem to? i’ll be honest he’s just a guy to me. kinda wish he’d stayed in riverclan ig? i did like his super edition a lot though

Top five moments you've felt like the universe was messing with you.
Oh boy everyone get ready this is a long list. In descending order, from mildly funny looking back on it to "oh god oh shit oh fuck":
5. Catfishing: College Edition
In 6th grade, I decided to apply to colleges early to see how they were like. I was scared that if they knew I was too young, they'd arrest me. So I created a gmail account as my persona, a white 12th grader named Emilie Alexander. Emilie was planning to go into nursing, dating a high school linebacker named Kyle Kenderson, and deathly allergic to bee stings. If she even came near a bee, she would die.
This part was of the utmost importance.
See, I was constantly paranoid that one day, the jig would be up- I might forget that my fake last name was Alexander. Or the college dean might come knocking at my door and tear up my home in his mad search for Emilie. If that happened I would fake her tragic death, presumably caused by one big fucking bee.
I secretly collected my information. What nearby states were the prettiest to visit. Which colleges were the safest and most affordable. How often they held courses that I liked. In my emails with colleges I tried to sound as mature and professional as possible.
Then, one day, a college member asked me what high school I was in, so they could check my records.
My blood froze.
It was time to bring out the bee.
In response to their question, I sent an email that was like this:
"Dear Mr. McLaughlin, I was a proud graduate of- ugh! Ah! Kyaaaa! Uwaa! W-w-what's this... huge goddamn bee doing here?! Eek, pardon my foul language! It's just that, as I told you earlier, being stung by a bee would kill me.... and now it's stung me thrice (three times)!!
What do I do?! I can't die... I've always wanted to attend your beautiful college...
But this is... the end...
Mr. McLaughlin...
*looks at you sadly*
Tell... my mother... I loved her...
*dies*"
He never responded, probably because he was rendered speechless, but I never touched that account again.
My private gmail for fun stuff like tumblr still has "Alexander" as a surname, though.
4. Wild and Authentic
Alright. Alright. So. My art teacher in middle school.
Right off the bat, they endeared themselves to the tumblr art kids- they proudly used they/them pronouns, dyed their hair vibrant colors, deeply encouraged OC creation, and was chill with any art style even if it was anime. Mx. Mason was very cool, except for one thing.
We had complete artistic freedom when it came to their assignments, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING.
Drumroll, please.
Take a deep breath if you must.
Ready?
...
Cats had to have extremely distinct whisker pores.
YES, they believed that modern depictions of cats were too streamlined. Too... idealized. As a cat owner themselves, they were convinced that society's vision of cats did not do their feral feline ancestors justice. In making their faces flawlessly smooth-furred, we were stripping the cat of its true nature.
I found this out the hard way, when I was drawing warrior cats fanart for class (it was of Firestar cuddled in the arms of an orange haired anime catgirl who was his reincarnation in my first ever comic series, Warriors Neko Desu! ♡ Heart Academy Dokidoki).
Mx. Mason came over to look at my magnum opus, and I expected them to have their socks knocked off at my artistic talent. They lifted up my drawing for all to see, and I smugly leaned back in my seat.
Only for them to launch into a passionate lecture about how, in neglecting to draw whisker pores on cats, I was DENYING THIS FICTIONAL CAT OF ITS WILD AUTHENTIC SELF.
My friends absolutely lost it when I told them this story, and there was a period of time when all our discord nicknames were wild and authentic too.
As for Firestar and his counterpart Hoshineko Orenji-chan, I never did give them wild authentic whisker holes, but that's to be expected of a kittypet, I guess.
3. Stan Jungkook Or Whatever
A couple years ago, my family and I flew to Seoul, South Korea, to visit our relatives and teach me more about my heritage. It was very nice! I got to visit shrines and festivals and palaces, and I was in awe that this was what my ancestors had once seen in their daily lives.
Then, when we went to the modern side of Korea, I realized just how much I didn't fit in.
It was clear that I didn't know how to act, or how to speak Korean, and I spent my days fumbling around and getting scammed multiple times by salesmen. But I clowned myself the most... during an interactive event with kpop stars.
They had this experimental event where holograms of the boys would sing onstage and dance in place of the actual idols. Before the show began, girls could stand in booths that scanned their appearances, and holograms of THEM could dance onstage with the hologram boys.
I didn't know this.
When Cousin Ae-cha told me to step inside one of the machines, I thought I'd be hilarious and stand backwards, so it would scan the back of me instead of my front. As I walked out, I saw other girls putting on their best makeup, cutest clothes, and most expensive accessories, and I slowly realized that I was in danger.
But the danger didn't come until halfway through the concert, where the boys looked eagerly off-stage and a holy staircase appeared and all the hologram girls descended from heaven. There were cherry blossoms. There were roses. There was me, among the crowd of beautiful airbrushed girls, walking backwards.
I felt the judgemental gazes of twenty girls and their mothers.
Each boy danced with a girl, who got a cute animated moment with special effects, and sang about how they found a dream girl to have a true love romance with. Finally, all the girls vanished except one, and it was me.
One of the boys didn't dance with any girls, and now he was all alone in the rain, feeling dejected that HE did not find his true love girl to have a dream romance with. Then the rain stopped, the sun came out, and I emerged. Still backwards.
He was thrilled and sang about how my face (that he didn't see) stole his heart, and now everyone in the audience was giggling, and he slowly brought me very close to kiss me... but because I was backwards, his nose was cutely nuzzling my hair.
The audience members- at least the adults- were now laughing their asses off. His lips met the back of my head, and together we vanished into the wind.
I'd say I couldn't show my face there ever again, but I never did show my face, so... hm...
2. Horrid Little Temptress
If I wasn't a minor, I'd need a drink before starting this story. Sadly, I cannot drown my sorrows- and neither should you after you hear this, because it's only fair.
Mrs. Appleby was my Spanish teacher in like, 9th grade. Even the wild and authentic art teacher thought she was insane. Appleby forced kids to brew tea for her and yelled at them when they didn't get it right, and I thought she had a chronic squint until I realised she just did that to mock me and my Asian eye-folds. She forced us to watch Dora the Explorer to "absorb knowledge." Everyone fucking hated Mrs. Appleby.
But the worst thing she ever did... was during the school festival.
See, whenever she's angry, she zooms right into kids' faces to scream at them. Her wrinkled flesh would blot out the goddamn sun and all you see are her bloodshot yellow eyeballs so victims just stayed rooted to the spot like cornered animals or something similar. This is important.
Because when she was sampling her own brownies (read: hoarding them so no one else could eat them), one parent foolishly decided to grab one and she thought it was a student and she grabbed his wrist so hard she could've nearly snapped it and... and... zoomed into his face.
Except she underestimated his height and kissed him by accident, but it was more like her mouth was sucking in his face like a vacuum.
His wife was shrieking like an ape. His kid, my classmate, saw his social life flash before his eyes.
In her defense, she did not mouth to mouth with him on purpose and afterwards she cried in the bathroom and when I foolishly followed her in to comfort her, because I am a teacher's pet through and through, she snatched the paper towels I got for her and wailed that she was a-
A-
HORRID LITTLE TEMPTRESS.
If I had decided to not be kind, I never would've heard that string of fucking words. But I did. And I paid for it dearly. The end.
1. Violence IS The Answer, Sometimes
Thomas, my dearly detested.
Back in sixth grade, I used to have a crush on him because he had the surfer boy look with nicely tanned skin and pale blond hair and the clearest aquamarine eyes I've ever seen. He also liked surfing and swimming. He seemed like the perfect little trophy waifu except for one absolute dealbreaker.
He and his parents were extremely conservative and so, when I told him I liked him, his response was basically "haha no you're a [slur] and would probably eat my dog."
I was horrified and ran away to cry. But then, by the next day, I decided I needed to punish him. Thomas walked in before class started and I was waiting for him with these hands. I kicked him so he doubled over, slammed his face into his chair's seat, and quickly clambered on top of him to SIT ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. He started shaking and twitching and trying to pry me off, but eventually he went limp and stopped moving.
I thought he fell asleep, but Mohammed, another classmate who was bullied by Thomas, told me that Thomas might never wake up again (not that he was very sad about this. I didn't know until later, but Thomas said slurs at him too).
While I was sitting on the guy, he'd straight up passed out from the lack of oxygen.
Screaming and crying, I told our homeroom teacher that Thomas suddenly fainted, and she was the type of Caucasian that thought all little Asian kids were sweet and innocent, so it didn't even cross her mind that? It might've been me? Who sat on his head when she walked in?
He was sent home early that day. I had to go to a different school next year because Thomas's mom threatened legal action. The only reason I didn't get punished further was because my rich cousins out-Karen'd her and donated a huge amount of money to the school to keep them quiet.
Anyway, I never did anything that insane ever again, because something like that is enough for a lifetime. My cousins made it clear they would never back me up again. I was sure this whole event would be put behind me, too.
But last fall, during my first day of online learning... who did I see in my zoom meeting... BUT THOMAS! I had my mic and camera off, but the moment he saw my name, his face went pale. His soul would've left his body, but then it would've gone to hell, so it wisely decided to stay inside.
Still, out of shame and embarrassment, I never turned my camera on for the rest of the school year.
