I can’t believe we are living in the timeline where a gory Seth Rogen produced show made a better adaptation of the Superior Iron Man than the MCU did! 😭😭😭

so. totally unrelated fandom post.
i've only seen the first episode of the wizards of waverly place sequel (wizards beyond waverly place) but i have thoughts. the basic premise of the show is that justin russo has settled down with a non-wizarding wife (giada), has two kids, and has become an ordinary middle school teacher after being fired from wiztech. his life is upturned when his sister, alex, drops round with a delinquent young girl named billy who needs help learning magic—and, oh yeah, she's supposedly part of some big prophecy to save the world.
so far, all i've seen is criticism of the characters and the show in general, but i think a lot of it is unfair. i'll concede that replicating the character dynamics from the original show (with giada as theresa, justin as jerry, billy as alex, roman as justin, milo as max, etc) was a bad move, but justin's character in particular has received a lot of flack that i, personally, find unreasonable.
people say that justin wouldn't dare give up being a wizard; that the trajectory of his life makes no sense given his love of magic. but life doesn't always work out the way we imagine, even with meticulous planning and preparedness. we can't forget that justin's own father was very much the same; that jerry was a very skilled wizard who loved magic and could never imagine giving it up. given that, i think it makes sense for justin's character to settle down with a non-magical wife and become a school principal. he held on to magic the longest of the three siblings because he defined himself by his skill with it, but he learned, as he aged, that magic wasn't everything.
besides, seeing justin lose his magical lifestyle as his ages only to reclaim it again at the start of this series is a great, if obvious, analogy for what happens to most of us as we age. even those who hold on tightest to their younger years can find themselves losing the the magic felt in childhood; we have to reach out and take it back for ourselves. children are sometimes the best ones at showing us what we have lost, hence: justin teaches magical children and in doing so rediscovers his own magic.
(side note: being a middle school principal suits him for obvious reasons: his love of learning, love of rules, love of wonder. the whole "being fired from wiztech because of an incident with a unicorn" also makes sense to me because, as much as alex learned from him, he learned from alex, too.)
i have nothing to say about alex's character because selena gomez came back and fucking crushed it. the biggest problem is the delivery of the prophecy: she just drops it like "hey billy's the only one who can save the world" and then leaves. now, do i think this is bad writing? yes. but i also think it would make sense if this was utter bullshit; if alex only said this to justin to ensure he really, truly enveloped himself back into the magical world because she knows just how much he misses it. (it's just a prank, bro!)
what would i have changed? i'd probably have made it so that alex had a kid like justin, and justin had a kid like alex. i would not give justin two boys as i don't think that does anything for his character. i would include both jerry and harper, as their actors have a goddamn podcast about the show and deserve to be included. (not to mention how jerry's character, in mirroring justin's, could be very informative for the whole plot.) also, justin's wife? she's fine, but please at least address what happened to juliet. was it the whole "i'm a vampire and i don't grow old but you do" thing? because that only adds to the reasoning behind justin giving up his magical lifestyle.
(also, and this is a tiny thing, but people are wondering how justin the principal and his investigative reporter wife can afford their house? and, HELLO, we get told that max is now a billionaire—thanks to his sandwich enterprise, i think. he would've totally bought them a house after giada convinced justin to accept it.)
#idk if i've articulated myself well here#anyway.#the biggest difference is that justin's wife never knew about magic#idk what i think about that yet#justin russo#wizards beyond waverly place#wizards of waverly place#(i can't believe i wrote this many words on wowp. geez)

¿What if Project Insight succeeded in Captain America the Winter Soldier?
To: Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, the Russo Bros., Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios Intro
¿What if events went differently in the MCU? ¿What if Project Insight succeeded in Captain America the Winter Soldier? In today’s fan fiction we’re going to be exploring what would have happened if Hydra’s long awaited project became a success killing Captain America, the Avengers and most of the heroes of the MCU respectively. ¿How can this affect Civil War going forward? This an original what if created by me following the mythology of Captain America and the Winter Soldier and the timeline of the MCU. Without wasting anymore time sit back and relax and enjoy this fan fiction. Prologue
Since the beginning of time, the age long argument has been whether man gets to control his future or not. The answer is yes and no. Man gets to control his future by the choices he makes. An individual alias a third party, can alter the future of another man by changing his choice slightly. Even if a choice is made a few minutes or seconds earlier this results in a whole new story for the individual and the people who his choice affects. Project Insight was originally supported by the World Security Council and the United States Department of Defense. It was a project designed to eliminate any potential threats to the citizens of Earth before they actually happened. It consisted of three heavily armed satellite-linked Helicarrier which would take out their targets before the targets would be aware of it. In your universe Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff managed to foil the plans of Hydra by changing the systems of the Helicarriers to fire at each other hence terminating Project Insight. In the Agents of Shield timeline Project Insight was successful by the thought by the thought of the Shield agents from the future timeline. In this fanfic timeline we will explore a new universe where Hydra’s long-awaited plan of Project Insight becomes a success. I am one of the Watchers and i am ur guide to these vast new realities. Follow me and pounder the question. What if...
Act 1
The events of the Winter Soldier were playing out the same as in your universe. With over 715,854 individuals targeted by Project Insight Hydra's main commanding office Alexander Pierce told Nick Fury that Project Insight would kill around 20 million people in total on Earth as the algorithm of Project Insight was already hacked with Arnim Zola’s algorithm but instead of targeting individuals that are in danger to the world individuals that were a threat to Hydra was targeted. In this universe the movie would mostly play out the same but these are the moments that change the timeline. The Winter Soldier managed to successfully kill Nick Fury in the interrogation scene. Hydra had discovered Natasha Romanoff disguised as a Hydra agent and shot her down dead. Maria Hill and Sam Wilson tried to fight off Hydra but they were killed and when Steve battled Bucky just at the moment that Steve was about to stop the Helicarrier machines from activating the targets Bucky shot him in the head killing him for good. The heroes have failed. Project Insight then became active and the Helicarriers aimed towards all of their targets. Alexander Pierce gave the command and the Helicarriers started killing all the individuals who were at threat to them. Tony Stark who was still recovering from the events of the Mandarin and Aldrich Killian at his home was shot and Stephen Strange who had yet to become the Sorcerer Supreme was also killed. Other victims include Hank Pym, Rhodey Rhodes, Pepper Potts, the Agents of Shield, General Ross, Jane Foster, Erik Selvig and Clint Barton who were all key members and allies of the Avengers that disintegrated from the attack. Although Bruce Banner was not in his Hulk form and got shot in the head because he wasn't aware that he was being targeted the gamma radiation in his system managed to save him unleashing the Hulk and becoming a fugitive from Project Insight but even the President of the United States was also killed. The news then reported a massive number of individuals who were killed on television but the Avengers were destroyed as there were no surviving members except for Thor and Hulk. A few hours later Hydra began a military lead by Brock Rumlow alias Crossbones while Bucky Barnes who was still brainwashed under Hydra was given the mantle of Captain America or better yet Captain Hydra wearing a green uniform with a shield and taking charge. Soon the whole of the US government crumpled as anyone who posed the threat soon came under Project Insight’s algorithm and were killed. Shield no longer existed and Hydra’s sleeper agents took control of Shield’s base. Thor was still in Asgard after the events of the Dark World and therefore he wasn’t aware of what was going on. Baron Strucker continued with the research of the Mind Stone on the Maximoff twins but Hydra was still in possession of the Mind Stone from Loki’s scepter so as a result Wanda and Pietro continued to be loyal members of Hydra along with Crossbones and Captain Hydra. Arnim Zola continued to supervise over Hydra and had a physical body just like the original comics. Hydra soon took over Stark Industries and began to deploy its scientists there. They started equipping their soldiers with Stark tech while Darren Cross alias Yellowjacket worked closely with Hydra to deploy Yellowjacket units to the US government but Darren managed to perfect the weaponized suits after Hydra handed him the paperwork of the Ant-Man project by Hank Pym after his death therefore Hydra continued to rule and terrorized the world with their one world government.
Act 2
2 years have passed since Hydra's invasion of the world and it’s now 2016. Ultron and Vision were never created as there was no Avengers and therefore the Ultron project never came to be. The events of Doctor Strange would then take place as Kaecilius attempted to steal the Time Stone from the Ancient One but with Project Insight activated Hydra reported that the Ancient One and Kaecilius were a threat too. The Helicarriers then shot both of them down killing them for good while Pierce dispatched Wanda and Pietro to get a hold of the Time Stone as another artifact to their collection in addition to the Mind Stone. As Wanda and Pietro arrived they saw the Ancient One and Kaecilius with his other minions already dead too. They were about to retrieve the Time Stone before they were being halted as a man came out of the shadows and said that the Time Stone needs to be in the custody of the Sorcerer Supreme. Someone who is known in the Mystic Arts introducing himself as Baron Mordo and that he would be willing to work with Hydra to eradicate the over-existing number of sorcerers on Earth but he cannot hand it over the Time Stone as if it falls into the wrong hands it could activate Dormammu who is a powerful being that would consume the whole of Earth. Pierce decided to allow Baron Mordo to wield the Time Stone in exchange for loyalty to Hydra to which he accepted.
Act 3
Meanwhile king T’Chaka remains the king of Wakanda as he was not assassinated in the bombing of Vienna due to the absence of the Civil War storyline but Okoye and Shuri told T’Chaka and T’Challa of the emergency of Hydra and its tyranny around the world. They said that they cannot reveal Wakanda to the world as they have been isolating themselves for over 2,000 years while Thor returned to Earth and he was shocked to see what had happened but he decided to keep a low profile as he didn't want to escalate the situation. Thor did some research and came across the Sanctum Sanctorum as he also wanted to know where his father Odin was. He decided to seek help from there as Baron Mordo introduced himself to Thor as the Sorcerer Supreme but Mordo also alerted Hydra that the God of Thunder has arrived on Earth saying that Odin is somewhere on Earth and he would only help him if Thor were to pledge his allegiance to Hydra. He said that Hydra are the new protectors of Earth as Thor remembered Steve Rogers telling him how Hydra was evil and how they were involved with the Tesseract. Thor then attacked Baron Mordo as he managed to trap him in the Mirror Dimension but after releasing him from the Mirror Dimension Wanda put hallucinations inside Thor’s mind and Hydra arrested Thor. They figured that since he is a god he would be better to have him on their side instead of killing him.
Act 4
Meanwhile, in Wakanda Killmonger has obtained the secret entrance to Wakanda from Klaw after killing him and Killmonger went to meet with king T’Chaka just like the original Black Panther film. He challenged for the right to the throne but the current leader of Wakanda was not T’Challa rather his father T’Chaka as before he challenged he told Wakanda to reveal themselves to the world because while Hydra is ruling the world Wakanda could rise and share their tech with Hydra. T’Chaka disagrees and said that Hydra would then betray Wakanda. Killmonger decided not to challenge for the throne yet but he left Wakanda and decided to inform Hydra about the country instead. At first Pierce was doubtful about Killmonger since he was just an assassin but then Killmonger told them about the vibranium technology which was originally used for Captain America’s shield saying that in exchange for the vibranium technology and control over Wakanda he wants to be the new ruler of the country. Pierce felt that it was a fair deal and told the Hydra army to focus on Wakanda. As Wakanda was out of scope then Project Insight were not able to enter Wakanda yet as they would have to manually wage a war against them first to gain viability of wakanda but Hydra eventually waged a war against Wakanda to obtain their vibranium resources led by Captain Hydra and Crossbones. Hydra’s soldiers who were already equipped with Yellowjacket suits along with Wanda, Pietro and Mordo were also deployed and the war was broadcasted live on tv.
Act 5
Meanwhile, Thor was still held captive and Odin was still on Earth. Odin warned Thor of Ragnarok in his dreams but Thor was still powerless to do anything while the Guardians of the Galaxy would still be formed unaffected by the events on Earth and Captain Marvel was still alive unaware of Project Insight but she will be an important asset to our story later on. Loki was still ruling over Asgard disguised as Odin but as Thor and Loki never met they weren’t aware of the impending doom of Ragnarok. Odin soon died and went to Valhalla. While Wakanda and Hydra were at war Hela was freed from her prison. She went to Asgard while being confronted by thousands of Asgardian soldiers and the Warriors 3. Hela knew that Odin was dead as she told the other Asgardians that Odin was already dead and that she was proof of Odin’s death. She then killed several Asgardian guards with ease who wanted to arrest her as she then threw her necroswords to Loki and removed his disguise. Everyone was shocked to see that it was Loki all this time as Hela then told the others that she wants to continue the conquest of the 9 realms and that they should begin with Midgard. She said that as Loki's elder sister she would not want to slaughter him unless he poses a threat to her as Loki, the Warriors 3 and the other Asgardians decided to submit to Hela. Loki said that his brother Thor was still imprisoned on Earth but Hela said that she would want to have a reunion with Thor as well so that they can continue Odin's legacy and she told the Asgardians to prepare for their conquest reviving her undead army and her wolf Fenris. As Asgard survived and there was no Ragnarok due to Hela being the ruler of Asgard Thanos was not able to hijack the Asgardian spaceship as in your universe. Nevertheless Thanos decimated Xandar and obtained the Power Stone. With an Infinity Stone at hand he decided to shift his targets to the Soul and Reality Stones first. Back on Earth Wakanda was already being bombarded continuously by the Hydra Helicarriers as they were on the brink of breaching the defenses when suddenly a portal opened in the sky but both Wakandans and Hydra were shocked to see what was going on. They heard a declaration from a woman who proclaimed herself as the new queen of Asgard and that she has come to rule Midgard. The conquest of the 9 realms have begun as Hela then brought 4th her troops from the Bifrost Bridge but Pierce instructed the Helicarriers to shoot at the Asgardians for now and the Asgardians were decimated at first from the high-powered cannons from the Helicarriers. As Hela and the rest were unable to pinpoint the exact location of the Helicarriers Loki said that their best bet would be to use the Tesseract to immediately teleport to Hydra's base. Hela agreed and while the Helicarriers were targeting the Asgardians Wakanda’s barrier was almost on the verge of destruction. Loki and the warriors 3 teleported themselves with the Space Stone to the Hydra base where the main command center of the Helicarriers were located. They killed the Hydra agents who were guarding it and also found Thor who was still brainwashed by Wanda’s hallucinations but Thor was still not in a good shape for combat. Now I could have Hela destroy Hydra but no because I wanna keep them around for the next significant event.
Final act
Meanwhile, the Mad Titan has collected the Reality and Soul Stones after decimating Knowhere and sacrificing Gamora. Thanos now had 4 stones in possession and knew that the last 3 stones were all on Earth. Ebony Maw told him how Hela and the Asgardians were at war with Wakanda and Hydra. Thanos saw all this and told his Black Order to prepare their armies as they would now head to Earth to retrieve the Space, Time and Mind Stones respectively. Back on Earth, Hela escaped the Helicarrier along with Thor, Loki and the Warriors 3 and started battling Wakanda and Hydra. Hulk then entered the battlefield using a massive clap to kill several Hydra agents. Just then the sky turned black as all 3 sides saw a massive ship entering the atmosphere. They could not believe it. Everyone on Earth was just witnessing the return of the Chituari. Thanos and his armies then came 4th and Pierce told them that they were trespassing on Earth telling them to go back to where they came from. Thanos ignored the speech and used the Power Stone to lift the Helicarriers before dropping them on top of all the Hydra agents thus destroying Hydra and Project Insight. Thanos then bombarded Wakanda with his own ship. Loki then interfered and tried to bargain with Thanos about giving him another chance to help him. Thanos said that Loki failed him in 2012 and knew that it was pointless as he was the God of Mischief and was unpredictable. Pierce then shot Thanos but it was pointless while Loki tried to stab him but failed. Thanos then grabbed both Loki and Pierce by the neck choking him to death in front of everyone live on tv obtaining the Mind Stone from Loki’s scepter. Thor was furious at Thanos for killing his brother and threw his hammer but Ebony Maw managed to deflect it. Thanos used his sword imbedded with the Power Stone to kill Crossbones and Quicksliver. Just then the Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel arrived on Earth seeing everything that had happened. Carol Danvers was horrified to see Earth and saw that Fury was killed by Hydra. Nevertheless, Hela and Thor went to Asgard to face Thanos as their power grows more stronger there while the Wakandans and Asgardians dealt with the armies. Captain Marvel eventually destroyed the Sanctuary II and Captain Hydra fought with Corvus Glaive, Hulk against Cull Obsidian, Mordo with Ebony Maw and Wanda with Proxima Midnight. Thanos used the Power Stone to decimate Asgard returning to Earth. Hela and Thor escaped on time seeing most of Thanos’s armies being decimated. The Black Order have been killed by Captain Hydra and the others before charging at Thanos overwhelming him. Thanos used the Power Stone to decimate most of the Wakandans and Asgardians. Thanos then got hold of the Tesseract destroying it unleashing the Space Stone. Mordo then realized that Thanos would eventually win meaning that the world would now be doomed.
Epilogue
Realizing that they would lose if Thanos got the Time Stone he decided to unleash the unexpected and contacted Dormammu who was not imprisoned due to Doctor Strange’s death 2 years prior. Dormammu then consumed the entire universe including Earth and Thanos. This universe was destined for failure. In the further end of the universe Silver Surfer informed his master that Thanos was defeated and Dormammu had begun consuming the universe into the Dark Dimension. He then told the Surfer that soon they will be the ones victorious and it would be the herald of Galactus himself that would come on top…
THE END!
And that is going to be ¿What if Project Insight had become a success in Captain America the Winter Soldier? And what if Hydra had won against Captain America and the Avengers. Like I said earlier this the first post of 2023 because the release of the 1st season has been delayed although it is complete but I’ll address the delay when I finally dropped the season so be on the lookout for that and more what ifs coming soon because this year will be really big and I’m coming in charging with many fan fictions and there is a standalone fan fiction that is going to be a fan fiction movie in the style of the 1st season and upcoming the 2nd season but it is not part of either season so this things are changing and im going to be changing my style a bit and finally be able to drop Star Wars fan fictions and more DC fan fictions especially after James Gunn’s announcement of the DCU. Anyways with that being said take care and have a fantastic day. Peace out!

Finished rewatching Winter Soldier again and I’m (yet again!) fucking pissed at Marvel/Disney for being a bunch of spineless cowards because Steve has simultaneously the best and most well-developed relationship in the MCU and what probably ties for the worst and least-developed romantic relationship in the MCU.
Like at least I can pretend my meds gave me a small seizure so I can’t remember 5 seconds of CA:CW and it’s like it didn’t happen. Much as I’d like to, there’s no excising A:AoU from my brain.
#dark russo bros show us the hidden stucky#i want to ask a marvel exec at what point they realized they ''needed'' to give steve a het romance bc of his relationship with bucky#yo guys when did you realize steve was in a relationship that you'd 110% have forced to being a romance if they weren't both men?#how much did it suck to realize how shitty it makes so many other mcu relationships look in comparison?#was someone having a laff with the mates and dared joss to out-write stucky in the hopes it would get him fired bc it isn't possible?#hello i have a lot of feelings about stucky let me share them with you

Under Construction
Billy Russo x Female Reader
Ratings: Explicit 18+
A/N: So this just happened to pour out of me and wrote itself after all the imagines and drabbles @becauseicantthinkwritings and @marvelmusing threw out there after one of my earlier ask this week.
I hope you enjoy this AU! Looking forward to your feedback and comments!
Sorry if there's mistakes/typos, like I said, I wrote this quite fast today.
"I don't need no nurse Frankie! Just slap a band-aid on it. I'll go back to work," mumbled Billy angrily.
"Bro! You got shot - in the arm- by a fuckin' nail gun - multiple times! That won't be flying with the formans, Bill. You know that. Now go get patched up in the office trailer before they see and you get your pretty ass fired for not reporting it," Frank said to Billy with his best scolding tone.
Billy glared at his brother and made his way to the temporary white office trailer where you worked as an administrative secretary, dealing with the calls, papers, bills and whatnot...Including being the first-aider.
Who hired that idiot? Billy thought, kicking a stone as he walkee like it did him great offence. Billy wanted to throttle the new kid for being careless on his first day and tripping over a cable while holding the nail gun. He knew where the office trailer was, walking past it everyday he worked but he never had to go inside it yet.
You heard the trailer door open, the cool A/C air rushing out and felt the suffocating humid summer heat enveloping you. You twirled around on your office chair to greet who you thought was the lead foreman. "Hey. I can't find today’s deliv- Uhhhh.." you stammered seeing the man standing in front of you. The end of that thought was now out the window including how to breathe and speak with it...You made more incoherent sounds, trying to salvage anything like some hint of professionalism you had left and managed a "Hai…"
Working on a construction site had its ups and downs. Hot sweaty and dirty men were one of them perks but you had never laid eyes on that kind of hot before. He was the definition of tall, dark and handsome even in his dirty work clothes. You could see a trail of sweat trickling down his neck from the base of his dark hair. It was longer on top, messy from hard work and buzzed short on the sides. He was wearing an old black (now grey) company T-shirt with the sleeves ripped off, the side of his toned tan chest peeking from the side openings. His blue jeans were slightly ripped here and there, white paint and plaster splats all over them. The look was topped with the usual work boots and a safety vest he had left somewhere with Frank.
The sight of blood on his left arm startled you awake. “Oh god! Please sit!” You begged snapping out of your reveries seeing the blood trailing down his arm and dripping down his long fingers. “What happened?” You asked, hurrying to get the first aid kit open and putting on gloves.
Billy flopped down on the empty wooden chair next of your small desk, which was facing the exterior wall with a small window. “It’s fine, I’ve had worse. It was just the new kid and the nailgun. Just clean it up and -”
“...Slap a band-aid on it?” you suggested, finishing the sentence for him with an unimpressed look and an eyebrow raised. You eyed the damage grimacing a bit. It was angry red and bleeding. You thought he probably had taken the other nails off by himself before thinking of nerve damage or infection. Billy had the decency to look away before rolling his eyes. He was fine! It did look like a superficial wound and he didn’t want to make a fuss out of it.
He took a good look at you for the first time as you worked, never having seen you from this close before. He knew there was a chick working here, catching a glimpse of your flowy summer dresses from above as you arrived in the mornings or when you left work early. If he had known how cute you were, he’d have tried to run into you before waiting to need first-aid. You worked silently, cleaning most of the blood before taking a good look at the two nails still in his arm.
“Well aren’t you lucky it wasn’t loaded with 3 inches nails,” you said, picking a small nail and showing it to him. His skin broke in goosebumps at your touch. He could feel how cold your hands were from the A/C through the gloves, blaming it on it instead of how easily he had reacted to you. He rolled his shoulder out of habit and grimaced at the pain, rolling the other shoulder as a result.
“Yeah, we just started on th-”
“Roofing, right?” you said, cutting him off once again, remembering ordering extra materials so they could put more men on that specific part of the building.
Billy narrowed his eyes at you, his eyes now dark slits. He rolled his good shoulder and counted to five. “You do that often? Finishing people’s sentences?” he asked, his turn to raise an eyebrow at you.
You looked down to your lap embarrassed, giving him a bashful grin under your eyelashes. “Sorry, bad habit of mine,” you admitted, biting your lower lip before resuming cleaning the wounds.
His eyes flickered to your lip and he licked his absentmindedly, wondering if they’d taste as sweet as your scent. His annoyance at your bad habit dissipating as quickly as the lewd thoughts of you invading his brain.
He imagined grabbing you by the hips, sitting you on the desk as he’d devour that pretty face of yours, his hands moving the hem of your skirt upwards on your hips. He’d hook his fingers in your panties and slid them off your bare legs, leaving them to hang around one ankle. He wondered how your moans would sound. He'd rub his calloused fingers over your folds and play with your clit.
He groaned, shifting on the uncomfortable chair, adjusting his jeans better, the cool air suddenly too warm.
"I'm almost done," you said with a soft smile hearing him groan, applying the last touches to his arm.
"Take all the time you need…" he trailed off, not knowing your name. He gave you his best smile, his eyes taking every small detail of your face.
He'd fuck you hard, one hand splayed on the wall behind you for support and the other on your hip, holding you in place. He wouldn't have taken off his dusty and dirty work clothes at your demand. You'd look so pretty and innocent-like with that girly flowerly summer dress...Yet so naughty being fucked, at work, on your desk, right by the window by a filthy, sweaty handyman who you barely knew.
"Y/N," you said, cleaning up the desk before taking off the gloves, leaning forward toward him to throw them in the trash next to him.
"Come on, Y/N. You gonna cum all over my cock like a good gurl?" He cooed, rutting inside you, your dress pooling around your hips, your breasts perking up under the cold A/C air and wiggling up and down. Not wearing a bra…
He licked his lips, biting them slightly before smirking. "Thank you for patching me up, Y/N." He said standing up, not wanting to go back to work.
"Oh! Can I have your name before you go? It's for the stupid insurance paperwork I need to fill out after an incident on site," you mumbled, standing up to look for the right forms in a black filling cabinet on the other side of the office.
"Yes…Yes! Billy! Fuck-" You'd moan loudly, clenching down on his cock, milking it as you'd come undone.
"Russo, William" he said, one hand on the door handle, waiting to see if you needed anything else. A good fuck maybe?
"Alright, thanks! And be safe now!" You said, giving him a wide honest smile making your eyes sparkle. He nodded, opening the door and letting a warm draft inside the office.
"Thanks again. I'll see you around, Y/N." He said walking out the door but not before seeing your skirt flowing in the wind, almost flashing him what kind of underwear you had on. If any…
***
Billy was walking to his car after a long day of work, his arm now sore and pulsing with pain.
"William!" You called out from the office trailer. He turned around toward the voice calling his name and saw you beckoning him over from the doorway. He changed direction, his feet carrying him faster with curiosity.
"I'm glad I caught you before you left. I forgot to have you sign the documents earlier," you explained, handing him a pen and pointing to a line at the bottom of some form. He took the pen and signed without even looking at what he was signing for.
"Is there anything else…Y/N?" He asked, saying your name almost suggestively, unable not to after the thoughts he had all day.
"Yes actually," you said, taking the papers back with the pen he was handing back to you. You didn't look up at him as you talked. "Do you take after-hours calls?" You asked boldly, fighting to keep a straight face like you just asked him about the weather, yet bubbling up with excitement inside. Youve seen the way he had gazed upon you earlier and you had to act knowing the interest was mutual. His face broke into a sky smirk, his mood perking right back up.
"Depends if it's you, sweetheart." He teased back with a wink.
Maybe he should get hurt more often…

you're one of the few i follow who talks about bucky and so here i am once again in your inbox because the whole way the MCU has approached bucky is just not it. you know? they wrote themselves in a hole. they don't know how to respond exactly with his popularity as a character and no homo'd his most important relationship so hard they're two dudes chilling in two different timelines because it's not gay. the whole 'made amends' thing is just wrong and terrible. bucky didn't do anything wrong! hydra did. hydra used him and yet the narrative has placed it on his shoulders. i enjoyed tfatws but i think there were quite a few odd character writing choices.
hiya !! lovely 2 see u in my inbox again <33
(two bros chilling in 2 different timelines cos theyre not gay killed me bdw)
oh 100% bucky has been mishandled by marvel, i wanna say since the very end of cacw. catfa bucky was splendid and amazingly written, super in character, like That's My Bucky.
catws bucky was obviously brainwashed but (even tho the russos had their grimy little hands on this one) again, amazingly written and handled esp thanks to seb.
it starts to go a little awry at the end of cacw. it was fine when bucky said "i dont know if im worth all this steve" nd steve replies "what you did all those years, it wasnt you. you didnt have a choice" bc this. THIS was the perfect way to be handling buckys trauma. and steve was the ONLY person who could do that. im sorry, but not even sam, whos a licenced councellor, could do that for bucky. the first red flag was before bucky went into cryo and NONE of his fears/feelings were dealt w beforehand. he just goes "i cant trust my own mind" and yoink into the freezer he goes! cacw wasnt terrible w handling bucky, but it did waste a lot of potential with discussing and exploring his character and what he went through. probably bc wuhhh a man cant have FEELINGS and GOD FORBID he show and express them in a HEALTHY WAY in a superhero movie !! (that should have been averngers: civil war, bdw. marvel u actually owe us ca:serpent society)
black panther end credits. what the fuck. is all im gonna say. russos overdosed on how can we make this guys "road to recovery" LOOK like its going like pure shit but not explain why, how, when, who and where.
infinity was a sorta a fucking joke iwel. there were some good parts like the steve and bucky reunion eg. "not bad, for the end of the world" (gives me catfa vibes 😭) and "steve?" being the last words bucky said before being dusted, ik bucky wasnt supposed 2 be the focus in this movie but the fact that they made him fight again after he was supposedly "cured" (see: "semi-stable 100 year old man") was cruel and lacked the exploration it needed to justify it.
endgame is self explanatory. shit movie all-round, pain for everybody in the audience!! it was more of a mishandling of steve rather than bucky, but if we're talking abt bucky specifically, he was more neglected than mishandled. not being bothered to do his metal arm? not showing us the convo he supposedly had with steve before he left? not showing us his reaction to steves joe biden cosplay? horrible. terrible, couldn't have gone worse. once again, seb did ALL the heavy lifting. he is 99% of buckys character.
all of this doesn't even take into account steve and buckys relationship. they are the absolute focal points of each other’s characters, and it was all not just swept under the rug, but the floor was then set on fire, the room burnt to a crisp, the house demolished and then launched into oblivion.
and now to adress what u actually asked, tfatws. i also enjoyed it, but that doesnt mean i think PERSONALLY that it was well written (and thats okay). i do understand it was supposed to deal w sam more than bucky, which it did, but if im being brutally honest, tfatws bucky didnt.... feel like bucky..... which isnt to say seb didnt do a good job, bc he carried what was left of buckys character from the writing, but it was like watching the wrong shoe being put on the correct foot, if that makes sense. bucky was treated like the bad guy, stoic and pissy. "guy with a staring problem", comic fucking relief. govt mandated therapy, constant dismissal, and being thrown back into a fights without it being acknowledged why first. i have no issue w characters who want to keep fighting regardless of trauma (see: john watson) but they NEED the verbal acknowledgement AND the right support system for that plot to be acceptable and sustainable. tfatws did none of that. they reduced bucky to Cap's sidekick again (even tho he wasnt steves sidekick, it feels like he is sams imo pls dont kill me 😭). none of what should have been dealt with was dealt with, because marvel tried to solve literally global, macro-scale problems without even acknowledging the ones at home.
as sweet and technically good the ending of tfatws was, it was badly writtten, at least for bucky. marvel will never climb out of the hole, to use your words, they wrote themselves into, because of 1) the thanos storyline, snap and blip (what the fuck marvel, genuinely) 2) timeline bullshit and 3) steve leaving.
its almost like his actual character development was put on hold for tfatws. it'll be forever up in the air, with no real closure, unless everything and more that i talked about is mentioned. he'll never have the ending he actually deserves.
please do remember, characters are supposed to have arcs, not 90 degree descents into the fucking ground.
#shit#long post#my bad 😭😭😭#this is the stuff that actually shifts my brain into overdrive but i like talking abt it so thank u for this ask !!!!#buckybarnesss#i could genuinely write a dissertation on this and it would fucking bang#anyway i hope at least some of this makes sense#meta#marvel meta#bucky meta#hades' asks

How does Rio, Angel, Jax, & Coco react to someone being rude for them saying outside of their race or having a mixed child?
I had to go off and do all the boys for this one... Let me know what you think!
Billy Russo: “I don’t remember asking for your opinion, but since you felt the need to bring it up, let’s discuss it.” *takes out one of the many knives he keeps on him at all times and casually holds it to the person’s throat* “I don’t give a shit what backwater small town you came from, or how inbred your family is, or how you never passed the 1st grade, don’t you EVER talk about her like that again, or next time” *pushes the knife in a little deeper, drawing blood* “I’m just gonna kill you.”
Logan Delos: He goes on a whole face journey once he hears the comment: shocked, offended, pissed, incredulous. Once he’s done, he treats the asshole to a long monologue about how he (the guy) couldn’t even COMPREHEND a love like yours, and how he can’t even fathom what it’s like to be a woman like you. You actually have to drag Logan away, he’s on such a roll. But the whole thing sticks in his craw so bad, that he looks the guy up, exposes his racism to all of his loved ones, and gets him fired.
Jax Teller: *straight up beats the guy’s ass, then takes you and his beautiful mixed baby out for ice cream*
Coco Cruz: “The fuck you just say?” He’s in the guy’s face in a SECOND. “Nah, don’t be shy now, bitch. Say it again!” The guy opens his mouth, but Coco punches him before he even speaks. “This look like the Republican convention to you, bro? You think you can just say whatever you want about my fucking family and not get your ass beat? Nah, bitch, you wanna be bold, you wanna say racist shit, you deal with the fucking consequences!” Then he just beats the guy while you record it on your phone. You go, Glen Coco.
Angel Reyes: He reacts first, burying his fist in the asshole’s face. If EZ’s with him, then EZ is getting a few licks in too. We all know Angel doesn’t exactly shine in the whole thinking-it-through department, and he might whip out his gun for a second and press it into the guy’s mouth. “Now, maybe I misheard you,” he’d say, shoving his pistol down the guy’s throat, “Can you speak into my mic?”
Miguel Galindo: *stops in his tracks* You call his name, not wanting him to engage, but he turns around, his eyes nearly slits as he glares over at the offender* “Nestor,” he’ll say calmly, “Take them to the car.” Once you and your kids are a nice distance away, escorted by Nestor, Miguel would walk up the guy, tilting his head. He only has one question: “Do you know who I am?” It doesn’t matter what the guy says, all that matters is, a few days later, you see the guy’s face on the news as his family ask for any leads in his sudden disappearance. When you look to Miguel, eyes wide, he shrugs. “He insulted my family,” is all he says, pressing a kiss to his little girl’s head before he walks off, unbothered and unrepentant.
Nick Amaro: Nick gets in the guy’s face, and as soon as he does, all of the venom goes out of him. The guy is literally shrinking as Nick verbally tears him down. “You know, hate speech is considered a crime in this city,” Nick would finish, flashing his badge, “How would you like a Cuban American man to take you in?”
Johnny Tuturro: Season 1 Johnny would call the dude as asshole and tell you not to pay him any attention. Season 2/3 Johnny is throwing hands. If your child/children are involved, though, Johnny is kicking someone’s ASS, no hesitation. “The next time you wanna open that rancid mouth to talk shit,” he’d say as the guy tries to limp away, “Remember this ass-whipping, you son of a bitch!”
Rio: His entire body goes rigid, and his eyes go dark. Literally, his aura is so strong, everyone present can feel the change in the air. The person who spoke up is already trying to backtrack, but it’s too late. Rio doesn’t say shit, he just nods minutely, and then Mick is there, grabbing the guy by the elbow and dragging him off. Then Rio turns to you, putting a hand on your chin, his fiery eyes going soft as he looks down at you. “You know that guy’s an ass, right, mama?” You nod. “What... Where is Mick taking him?” “Oh,” Rio smirks, leaning down to kiss you, “Me and Trump Jr. are gonna have a little talk. I think what happened today could be a real teachable moment for him.” You sigh, shaking your head with a smile.

May 7, 2021: TRON (1982)
Starting to leave lo-fi sci-fi with this one.
Can I just say, I am VERY excited for this one. Mostly because it’s hard to get more ‘80s than this movie, specifically in terms of computers. I’ll explain. Y’know Jurassic Park? Yeah, the same movie I’ve brought up far, FAR too many times this month. Is...is that my favorite sci-fi movie? Shit, it might be? I’ve read the books, I’ve seen the movie COUNTLESS times...I’m pretty sure it is! Huh. Go figure. Anyway, where was I?
Oh, right! Remember the most irritating character in the movie? This is, in my opinion, older sister Lex Murphy. In the book, for the record, she’s a VERY different character. She’s the youngest sibling amongst the two, and she’s a sports nerd who hates dinosaurs. And she’s also the most annoying character in the book, so at least they kept that consistent. However, you may be saying to yourself: “Jesus, this dude really loves Jurassic Park. Even in the intro for Tron, he’s talking about it. Why the hell does he keep bringing it up?”
Well, allow me to explain. When I was 9 years old, I was super into two things: dinosaurs and reading. You may think that I wasn’t very popular in school as a result. And the truth won’t surprise you. Anyway, on January 3rd, 2001, it was a cold morning in the supermarket when
...OK, lemme get to the point. IT’S A UNIX SYSTEM!
See, this moment when Lex hacks into the computer to reactivate the locks (a task given to Tim in the book, but whatever) does two things. One, it makes Lex relevant in a film and story where she’s almost entirely unneeded. And two, it established something in the minds of movie-watchers everywhere: a completely misguided idea of what computer programming is.
And this is just one of MANY examples of Hollywood weirdly representing computers to the public. This was kind of a trend throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, as computers were beginning to become available to the public. Examples are:
WarGames (1983), dir. John Badham
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), dir. James Cameron
Revenge of the Nerds (1984), dir. Jeff Kanew
Weird Science (1985), dir, John Hughes
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), dir. Russo Bros
That last one isn’t a great example, and it’s not even within the right time period. I just love Arnim Zola, and he NEEDS TO RETURN to the MCU. Goddamn it, I want this guy back, complete with his full robot body! COME ON FIEGE, LOOK AT THIS GUY! That last one may or may not be my fanart for the character with my own design NEVERTHEGODDAMNLESS!
Look, all you gotta do is connect the various machinations of Arnim Zola to the foundations of AIM, which is easy given their link in the comics. Zola and his fellow Paperclip scientists helped fund Aldrich Killian’s AIM, and the project to give Zola his sick-ass robot body eventually wound up being a part of the project that would create the hovering robotic chair used by this guy.
THIS IS ALL I’VE EVER WANTED PLEASE
...Ahem.
Anyway, the weird-ass ways that Hollywood’s represented computers, hacking, and all other associated things can be traced back to 1982, when the first film to use mostly computer generated imagery for its setting was created. This was, of course, Disney’s TRON. And while I haven’t seen it before...I’ve see its sequel in theaters?
On a related note, Tron Legacy might be a mediocre film with a mediocre soundtrack, but GODDAMN DO IT LOVE THE FUCKING VISUALS. It’s genuinely my favorite aesthetic. That whole “outlined in light” thing? Goooooooh, BABY, how I love it.
Style over substance, but OH THE FUCKING STYLE
Anyway, despite that, I’m looking forward to seeing where the whole thing came from. I dig that style, too. Is there a name for those aesthetics? Let me know, so I can devote my life to it forever. Anyway, shall we get started?
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Recap
So, we start this movie off with a BANG, jumping into an arcade where two kids are playing none other than Lightcycle, and jumping into said Lightcycles to meet one of the drivers, Sark (David Warner). A sadistic program, he takes great pleasure in executing programs in Lightcycle races.
One of these programs, in fact, is being brought into imprisonment now, to be set against Sark in a race. The program, Crom (Peter Jurasik), speaks with fellow prisoner Ram (Dan Shor), where we get some idea of the lore of this place. Many programs believe in “the Users”, god-like figures who they believe created them and tell them what to do. However, the mysterious Master Control Program is rounding up the programs that believe in Users, taking over their functions or executing them. Diggin’ the lore so far.
In the real world, we meet Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a computer programmer commanding his own program, Clu (also Bridges), and...look, I’m not sure what they’re doing, but OHHH. IT’S A UNIX SYSTEM, BABY. The beautiful bullshit that this movie uses to denote computer activity and programming, it’s...MMMMMMMMMCHEF’SKISS, it’s so FUCKING GOOD!
Anyway, Clu’s apparently being sent to find some information, but he’s caught by Master Control. Jeff Bridges shows off some pretty over-the-top acting, but it’s charming as hell. Clu’s interrogated by Master Control Program (also Warner), and killed, or “derezzed”. This frustrates Flynn, but why?
Well, we get a clue from MCPs concentration with Ed Dillinger (David Warner), who arrives at his office in the COOLEST FUCKING HELICOPTER I HAVE EVER SEEN. I will never make enough money to have this helicopter, but maybe one day I can do it to a car, holy shit. Anyway, Dillinger lands and enters the ENCOM building, where he speaks with his computer table, which contains MCP.
Is this a thing with computer programmers? Do they, like, physically talk to their programs, and the programs talk back? Is this a thing that happens? Are the conversations interesting? Are IT people literally computer-whisperers? I gotta talk to my friends in computer sciences and IT about this.
Apparently, Flynn’s been snooping around their servers for a specific file, and they’re trying to stop him from getting that file. Meanwhile, in an office in the building, a man named Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner) is blocked out of the system in an attempt to flush out Flynn’s location. Bradley’s summoned to the office for what seems like a routine interview, but is actually more of an investigation. Doesn’t go anywhere.
On a side note, by the way, it would appear that MCP is somewhat in control of Dillinger. Although, how and why is unknown. In any case, he’s attempting to amass power. Additionally, the fact that he’s directly speaking to one of the Users is...interesting. And on a second side note, Bradley is preparing something, a security program called “Tron”. That might come up later.
MEANWHILE, elsewhere in the building, a group of scientists are conducting an experiment to digitize solid matter and transport it into computers. It succeeds with an orange, much to their delight and celebration. One of these scientists is Lora Baines (Cindy Morgan), Flynn’s ex-girlfriend and Alan’s current girlfriend. They go to the arcade to reconvene with Flynn, much to Alan’s irritation.
Flynn not only owns the place, he’s also a game whiz, brilliant computer programmer, and recently fired ex-employee of ENCOM. He’s also been sneaking into the ENCOM system, and he details exactly why he’s moving against them. While working for ENCOM, he had started writing programs for some very complex video games, which could’ve have made him quite a bit of money. But Dillinger stole his files, and uses it to climb up the ranks to Senior Executive of ENCOM, while Flynn lounges in relative poverty. He’s planning on getting into the system to get evidence of Dillinger’s wrongdoing.
The trio plots to take down Dillinger and get the evidence together, breaking into ENCOM that night. Meanwhile, Dillinger’s meeting with Walter Gibbs (Barnard Hughes), a co-founder of the company, and one of the other scientists who made the digitizing machine. Dillinger says YOUR TIME IS OVER OLD MAN, and brushes off his concerns about he’s handing the company.
He’s not the only one with issues, as MCP decides to take over FOR Dillinger. Apparently, Dillinger’s talents are stealing data and creating Cybernet/HAL 9000. Good job, buddy. But that may end, when Alan goes to finish and install his program, Tron, which will hopefully take MCP down. Meanwhile, Lora and Flynn go to the basement with the digitizing machine. At the computer terminal, MCP decides to stop Flynn by...well, you know where this is headed.
Yup! Flynn’s brought into the computer by Lora’s machine, and is digitized and put into the game grid. And since we’ll be spending a lot of time there, I think I need to acknowledge something: I really love how this movie looks. The CGI is rudimentary, but it’s used surprisingly well. Consider that this is also made in an era where this is the kind of imagery that computers could literally generate at the time, and you’ve got a pretty great movie in-context.
Flynn, now in those spiffy program duds, is sent by the MCP to compete in the Game Grid, under Sark’s supervision and tutelage. He’s thrown into the brig with the other imprisoned programs, where he learns more about this world. Once brought into the throes of the Game Grid, he’s told that those who believe in the Users are to be trained poorly, ensuring their inevitable death. Meanwhile, those who renounce their belief will be spared. And of all the programs who still believe in the Users, there is none quite as powerful...as Tron (Bruce Boxleitner again).
We see Tron’s badass skills in Ultimate Frisbee. And OK, it’s not Ultimate Frisbee, but you throw discs that contain all of your essence and all of the things you’ve learned in your time there. You basically pour your entire essence and being into the disc as you throw it. So, really, it is Ultimate Frisbee, according to that one dude who’s REALLY into Ultimate Frisbee.
Flynn is commanded to play one of these games, and he winds fairly easily. However, when he defeats his opponent, he’s almost about to die. However, Flynn refuses to finish him off, leading Sark to do so instead. And Sark is tempted to kill Flynn as well, but he holds off at the last moment.
Flynn finally gets to meet Tron, where he feigns being a program that knows of his User, Alan. Of course, Tron looks exactly like Alan, which is why Flynn blurts out his name. But as they’re discussing this, Flynn, Tron, and fellow prisoner Ram are sent to compete in the Lightcycles. And, yes, I’m now looking for a game like this on my phone, because GODDAMN to I love Lightcycles. Can’t WAIT for the Disney World ride, oh my GOOOOD.
So, our guys get in the Lightcycles, and they outmaneuver Sark’s guys. They’re actually able to escape the arena and the Game Grid, making it outside the citadel. They encounter a, uh, bitstream, and soak up some energy before moving on. On the way, though, they’re nearly killed by Sark’s guys in tanks, and Tron is separated from Flynn an the unconscious Ram.
Flynn and Ram finds a place to rest and hide, and Flynn discovers that, as a User, he actually has the ability to somewhat manipulate the reality within the computer, and he makes a version of MCPs ships, the Recognizers, which resemble the villains in Flynn’s game that Dillinger stole. Now realizing that Flynn is a user, Ram asks him to help Tron, before dying and disappearing into pure code. Whoof.
Tron, meanwhile, ends up finding an input/output program named Yori (Cindy Morgan), who helps him in his escape. She takes him through the city, where we see some interesting designs for control programs, almost like a Hunger Games Panem sort of deal.
Flynn has trouble driving his ship, as he meets a “bit”, a small bit of data that only answers in yes or no. He, too, ends up in the city, and you start to notice that this film has a really heavy influence in our cyberpunk concepts and fashions today. Honestly, I really dig this whole thing. Kevin uses his programming powers to disguise himself as one of Sark’s guards, while Yori and Tron find their way through the main citadel of the guards.
They make their way through to the access tower, where they ask the program Dumont (Barnard Hughes again) to let them access the interface that will allow them to speak with the Users, specifically Alan. Reluctantly, Dumont agrees to let Tron through, where he goes to the access port. Which, for the record, looks awesome. He goes to speak with Alan, and he does that one pose. Y’know, the famous Tron pose that’s on the poster?
Yeah, that’s the good stuff. Anyway, he gets information written onto his disc that’ll allow him to kill MCP. Neat. And unfortunately, that’s exactly when Sark and his guys show up, taking Dumont away as Tron and Yori escape. Yori gets them onto a Solar Sailer, a device that will transport them to the central computer. Tron fends off some of Sark’s guys with video game noise kicks, and the Solar Sailer arrives to take them away.
Sark chases after them, but the pair manage to outrun his very cool-looking ship. MCP threatens to destroy Sark for his failure, but he promises that he’ll be able to get them. On the ship, Tron looks down at the side to see Flynn hanging on. Turns out that he was one of the guards that attacked the two. Tron pulls him up onto the ship, and Flynn reveals that he is, in fact, a user. He also reveals that Users aren’t exactly the gods that programs believe them to be.
Anyway, how’s Dumont doing?
Ah.
Well, the Recognizers find Tron, Yori, and Flynn, and chase after them on the light beam the Solar Sailer is on. However, with his User powers, Flynn manages to get the Sailer onto a different beam, while pulses on the original beam destroy the Recognizers.
Doesn’t end up mattering much, though, as Sark finally catches up and intercepts the group. The Solar Sailer is destroyed, and Yori and Flynn are thrown in the brig with Dumont, who’s still alive! Can’t say quite as much for Tron, apparently. But, again, I can only assume that Ton is still alive. We’ll see, though. Sark denies Flynn’s identity as a User for some reason (I mean, MCP told you who he was, but OK), and he sentences them all to death. Outside the ship, of course, is Tron, who’s hiding and waiting for the right time to strike. And that is when we finally see him.
Glorious. Absolutely goddamn glorious. MCP is taking the remaining programs that believe in Users, Dumont included, and incorporating them into his mass. Meanwhile, Sark has found Tron, and the two are fighting with a classic game of Ultimate Frisbee. Tron nearly defeats Sark entirely, but MCP revives him, and gives him the power to take out Tron. He grows gigantic, and it looks genuinely really convincing.
Flynn prepares to take out MCP once and for all, and kisses Yori just beforehand, which is weird as shit. He jumps into the program, and controls it just long enough for Tron to throw his disc at it and land the finishing blow. And with that, MCP is ended, and the threat of take over is gone! The I/O towers light up, and the Video Warriors have won! Don’t ask me what that means, I study birds.
And with ALL OF THAT DONE, Flynn gets the proof he needs from a print-out that, to be honest, I feel like he could’ve just typed up himself. It doesn’t look like that much. But, still, MCP is gone, Dillinger’s screwed, and Flynn now gets a cool-looking helicopter of his own, as the new CEO of ENCOM. And from there, he will become a deadbeat dad that abandons his kid to live in computers forever. Or something like that, it’s been a while since I’ve seen Tron Legacy.
And that’s Tron, a goofy movie of its time, but one that’s a lot of fun all the same. And with some effects that, to be honest...I actually really liked! But more on that...IN THE REVIEW! See you there!

while I want to agree with what you said, you need to consider the fact that steve associates people getting locked up with concentration camps, he lived in a world where that's what he saw every day so maybe a little compassion for him next time
Ok, going by your logic, why did he have Clint call Wanda to the airport fight knowing the consequences that were going to follow her for the rest of her life then?
Clint: Cap needs our help. Come on.
-
Steve Rogers: You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice. (But he did have a choice, Tony gave him multiple ones)
Clint Barton: Hey man, you're doing me a favor. Besides, I owe a debt.
-
Steve Rogers: We're outside the law on this one. So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man.
Tony offered Steve very reasonable options, Steve refused all of them. Tony said he would take care of the PR fire that was going to follow not only him but Wanda and the entire team, promised to get the documents amended, sent Ross Zemo’s files, tried to get Ross to reroute the satellites and start facial scanning for Zemo to get him so Bucky could be off the hook, said he was wrong and was willing to make up for that, said he would file a motion to have Steve and Wanda reinstated after what happened. Even after everything, he lied to Ross and let the entire team escape.
Steve was aware of this. He was even aware that people were going to go after Sharon Carter and refers to Scott AND Wanda as ‘recruits’. He did this after calling Wanda a ‘kid’.
Wanda herself recognized that it was probably for the best and wanted to stay:
Clint Barton: Okay, we gotta go. Wanda Maximoff: I've caused enough problems. Clint Barton: You gotta help me, Wanda. Look, you wanna mope, can go to high school. You wanna make amends, you get off your ass.
Clint feels responsible for her because he feels guilty for what happened to Pietro. You see, this is where I don’t follow, Jeremy Renner said ‘He had to repay a debt to Scarlet Witch, and Cap called in need, so he came out of retirement.’ How is helping Cap repaying debt with Wanda? He’s basically using her to help Steve, and this is for her own benefit? He pays off this debt by helping Steve? Isn’t that debt supposed to be about Wanda? lmao
Clint even mocked her for wanting to feel responsible for the death of the people in Lagos. She was not going to feel responsible forever but at least let her take responsibility for that. At the end of the day, Wanda even said sorry to Vision because she saw the disaster that little fight created.
Natasha Romanoff: Try not to break anything while we fix this.
Tony Stark: [still on the phone.] Consequences? You bet there'll be consequences. Obviously you can quote me on that 'cause I just said it. Anything else? Thank you, sir.
Steve Rogers: 'Consequences'?
Tony Stark: Secretary Ross wants you both prosecuted. Had to give him something.
-
Steve Rogers: I'm not getting that shield back, am I?
Natasha Romanoff: Technically, it's the government's property. Wings, too.
Sam Wilson: That's cold.
Tony Stark: Warmer than jail.
-
Tony Stark: GIVE ME A BREAK! I'm doing what has to be done . . . to stave off something worse.
-
Secretary Ross: I'm putting Special Ops on this.
Natasha Romanoff: What happens when the shooting starts? What, do you kill Steve Rogers?
Secretary Ross: If we're provoked. Barnes would've been eliminated in Romania if it wasn't for Rogers. There are dead people who would be alive now. Feel free to check my math.
Tony Stark: All due respect, you're not going to solve this with boys in bullets, Ross.
-
Tony Stark: Or a squad of J-SOC guys . . . with no compunction about being impolite.
-
Natasha Romanoff: Is this, part of the plan?
Tony Stark: Well, my plan was to go easy on them. You wanna switch it up?
If Steve knew the consequences, then why would he prefer Wanda to be in a real prison over a place he himself calls ‘home’?
Gif not mine.
Consequences the rest of them suffered:
Natasha Romanoff: After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal. It was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest.
And this is Clint’s reaction:
Tony Stark: Because you broke the law. Clint Barton: Yeah. Tony Stark: I didn't make you. Clint Barton: La, la, la, la, la . . .
And Tony is the man-child? lmao
And Tony even tells them they were aware of their decision. First, they don’t want Tony ‘controlling’ them and then they blame him for not doing enough for them? lmaooooooo
Tony Stark: Alright, you're all grown up, you got a wife and kids. I don't understand, why didn't you think about them before you chose the wrong side?
I do agree that maybe because Tony used the word ‘confined’ Steve immediately felt defensive. One thing the writers did wrong with him is trying to make him look like the honorable tough soldier all the time. And that’s not it, you can clearly see Steve lives in the past; has some big traumas under his sleeve. How about instead of making him look ‘badass’ why not deal with those things first? Why not make him learn some mistakes first and then help him heal? Perhaps giving him time with Bucky in the compound while they all work things through. Not a hard thing to do. Instead, they chose to make him a nomad bearded ‘badass’ fighting crime in the dark. This is where the Russo bros fail with Steve, while they can write him in an amazing setting and a perfect compelling storyline, they fail to understand Steve’s emotional side and the fact that men DO feel too. Especially someone like Steve. They think his submerged feelings over a failed past should be dealt with heroic acts of rebellion over what society tells Steve to be. Nobody tells Steve he’s wrong except for Tony, the rest of them actually drop everything to help him (Clint his family, Wanda, Sam, Natasha their freedoms, Scott is disappointing his daughter all over again after spending a previous movie talking about how he doesn’t want to do that anymore, etc).
Scott Lang: No, I’m serious, man. I’m not going back. I got a daughter to take care of.
-
Scott Lang: I’m trying, okay? I’ve changed, and I’m straight, I had a job, and… I want to provide. I had a lot of time to think about it, and I love her. So much. I’ve missed so much time and I want to be a part of her life. What do I do?
Maggie Lang: Get an apartment. Get a job, pay child support. And then we will talk about visitation, I promise. You’re her hero, Scott. Just, be the person that she already thinks you are.
I highly doubt becoming a war criminal involves that. They sacrificed a lot of characters’ development to fit into Steve’s predicament. They write him in a way where he’s always going to come out on top, where he’s always right, where he doesn’t deal with his consequences and the entire audience has to see everyone trust him no matter how matter mistakes he’s made.
This Steve looks nothing like comics!Steve. MCU Steve is an entitled jackass.
And let’s not forget, when given the time to spend time with Bucky, he left and went to the past to rob a woman’s whole life. That’s his happy ending?
None of them are perfect.

¿What if Thanos invaded Earth in Zack Snyder’s Justice League?
To: Josh Brolin, Zack Snyder, the Russo Bros., Kevin Feige, James Gunn, Peter Safran and Marvel Studios
Intro
¿What if events went differently in Zack Snyder’s Justice League? ¿What if Thanos invaded Earth in the Snyder Cut? In today’s fan fiction we’re going to be exploring what would have happened if Thanos decided to change course and decided to find the Mother Boxes rather than the Infinity Stones before the events of Infinity War leading to the Justice League having to face Thanos. ¿How can this affect Avengers Endgame and the future of the DCEU going forward? This is an original what if created by me following the mythology of Thanos and the Justice League and the timeline of the MCU and DCEU respectively. Without wasting anymore time sit back and relax and enjoy this fan fiction.
Prologue
What you could have done differently has already been done without you knowing it. The Multiverse is vast and expanding with unlimited choices but sometimes these choices can take you on the wrong or right path. In one universe in humanity's darkest hour the Avengers chose to band together to stop the Mad Titan Thanos from destroying all life in the universe but that isn't the story of today as this reality takes a more twisted turn that would change everything. I would like to welcome you to the MULTI-VERSE where I pit characters or series to see who would win and now we will pit the Justice League in a versus fantasy battle and pair them with the Mad Titan of Thanos and his vicious Black Order.
Act 1
The beginning of Infinity War was playing out the same as in your universe. The Mad Titan Thanos has just acquired the Power Stone one of the 6 Infinity Stones from the planet Xandar and together with the Black Order they intercepted the spacecraft carrying the survivors of Asgard’s destruction overpowering Thor and the Hulk. Thanos obtains the Space Stone from the Tesseract after obliterating the Asgardian spaceship. Thanos used the Space Stone to teleport himself and the Black Order away. As Thanos and the others teleported away they noticed a strange change in the atmosphere. Ebony Maw said that it seemed that they have appeared in another universe which resembles their original world but was not the same universe. Thanos then dispatched Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian to travel across the universe to scout as he was unable to use the Space or Power Stone in this universe.
Act 2
Meanwhile, in the DCEU The Snyder Cut was also playing out the same with the Death of Superman becoming known to the world after sacrificing himself to defeat Doomsday. Superman was dead and the world lost a hero. Meanwhile. Bruce Wayne alias Batman was searching for metahumans to protect Earth as with Superman gone they needed a backup plan in case of a similar incident in the far future. Bruce Wayne started getting a list of potential metahumans. He went to find Arthur Curry AKA Aquaman but Aquaman refused to join him. He then saw on his list two more superhumans which were Barry Allen alias the Flash who had super human speed and Victor Stone alias Cyborg who has alien technology infused in his body after a nearly fatal car accident. Just then there was large activity on Batman's radar. Batman was unable to pinpoint the exact location of it as it seemed to be clouded by some sort of barrier. He figured that it might just be an earthquake. Somewhere, on Themyscira the Amazons were shocked to see a giant spaceship floating above them. They sounded the warning system as the Amazons then fired a warning to Princess Diana alias Wonder Woman and they were under attack. The Amazons prepared themselvesas and they saw a giant being emerge from the spaceship with several other bodyguards with him. As Thanos was in a foreign land he decided not to engage in any hostility activities. First of all he asked the Amazons where he was to which they replied that he was trespassing on their land and that nobody has ever stepped foot in the island except for one many years ago. Thanos said that he is seeking the Infinity Stones but the Amazons said that they do not know of such a relic. The queen of the Amazons assumed that Thanos wanted the mother boxes which they had been guarding for millennia. She told her army to attack Thanos as he bore hostile intentions. Thanos could not use the stones or summon his legion of Outriders with him. Therefore, he had to make do with what army he had. He dispatched Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight and some of his soldiers to battle the Amazons. Thanos then started thinking of a plan to get out of there. Wonder Woman then received the warning which was dispatched by her fellow Amazons. The Amazons thought that Thanos was one of Darkseid’s minions as he resembles the ruler of Apokolips. Thanos grew furious when he heard that as if he was under someone else. He then decimated them as Wonder Woman knew that something was not right and decided to meet with Bruce Wayne about assembling the superhuman. She told Bruce about what had happened and Bruce figured that it matched the activity that he saw on his radar. Bruce searched for Barry Allen while Diana searched for Victor Stone. Thanos and his Black Order defeated the Amazons. He said that he just wanted to search for the stones but it seemed that in every universe there is hostiles. The Amazons then said that they will never submit to Darkseid and decided to cave themselves in while protecting the Mother Box. Thanos heard of the Mother Boxes and that they can provide a powerful source of energy and even control non sentient beings. He said that if he could not complete his original goal in his previous universe then he might as well be the salvation in this universe. “Maybe things happen for a reason” Thanos said. Thanos decided to change his goal to seek the Mother Boxes since the Infinity Stones were useless in this universe and after decimating the Amazons Thanos then left with his spaceship. He wasn't aware that the Mother Box was already caved in with the other Amazons. He then told his Black Order to search for information about these Mother Boxes.
Act 3
Meanwhile, Bruce and Diana had already recruited Barry Allen into their team. Victor Stone was reluctant to join forces with them as he wasn’t sure whether Bruce and the rest could be trusted. Diana then told Bruce about Darkseid and how his conquest of the Mother Boxes failed a millennia ago but of course they weren't aware that it was not Darkseid that had arrived but rather the Mad Titan Thanos from another universe. Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian arrived at another location in the world where they stumbled across an ancient scroll. The ancient scroll was depicted by Ebony using technology in his brain which stated that there was a secret power known as the Anti-Life Equation which is a formula for total control over the mind of living beings. Ebony believes that the so-called Anti-Life Equation was on this universe's version of Earth and it could only be obtained once the Mother Boxes were assembled. Ebony feels that with the Anti-Life Equation they do not need to get a hold of all the Infinity Stones as Thanos could use all of them to control the overpopulation and restore the balance of the universe. He and Cull decided to return to their Master.
Act 4
Meanwhile, back on Earth Bruce, Barry and Diana decided to go to Themyscira as they wanted to see what has happened. When they got there Diana was horrified to see the decimated Amazons and that they laid on the ground dead. She then went to the temple where the Mother Box was supposedly guarded. Batman used his batjet to destroy the cave in the temple. The Amazons who were trapped inside were surprised that they were still alive as Diana and the rest arrived 3 days after the battle. The Amazons were still alive despite the caved in and the queen of the Amazons was also one of the survivors. She then told Diana and the rest of them that it was not Darkseid that attacked them but somebody by the name called Thanos. Batman searched his database but could not find anyone by the name of Thanos. They said that Thanos and his bodyguards were formidable fighters as their Amazons could not inflict any damage on them but she stated that Thanos said that he had no connection with Darkseid and that he had no idea of the Mother Boxes but he has been intrigued by it and started seeking them on the other side of the world. 2 weeks have passed since the decimation of the Amazons and Thanos with his Black Order headed over to Gotham City. They wanted to know more about this world and they had decided to start there. Thanos took a liking to Gotham City to be similar to New York and while there might not be a Tony Stark in this world Thanos was certain that there would be some sort of heroes. Batman's status already predicted that Thanos would be arriving there and there was a large warning system being triggered on his radar. Batman, Wonder Woman and the Flash were already in Gotham and anticipating him. Thanos then arrived and demanded the Mother Boxes. Batman and Wonder Woman confronted the Mad Titan. They asked where he came from to which Thanos replied “From another universe” and just like his original universe there was a problem with overpopulation and limited resources. With the Mother Boxes it could perhaps terraform Earth to rebuild back Earth and prevent overpopulation. Batman said that Thanos is not welcome here and uses his Batmobile to attack Thanos. The Mad Titan dispatched Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight to deal with Batman and Wonder Woman before Corvus managed to fight against Batman. He was being punched repeatedly by something which was moving at super speed which made Corvus furious and tried to get a hold of what was going on. Using the distraction Batman drove his Batmobile towards Thanos’s spaceship while Wonder Woman engaged Proxima Midnight who taunted Diana as a failed Amazon because her own Amazon warriors were easily killed by her thus Diana engaged in a ferocious battle with Proxima where Batman tried to fight in close quarters combat with Thanos but knew that Thanos was much superior to him in terms of strength and technical fighting. Thanos tried to use his stones but as expected he failed thus Thanos crushed the stones but said that the Mother Boxes would be the final goal while Batman tried to use his batarangs and bombs to incapacitate the Mad Titan failing as he was much more durable and at the same time Corvus was still getting his ass kicked by the Flash. He then decided to stand still and waited for the Flash to attack him. As Flash overestimated his abilities he sped and wanted to give a final punch to Corvus but Corvus smirked and aimed his Glaive towards Flash's stomach stabbing him. Flash screamed in agony while Corvus continued to strike his glaive deep into the Flash but Wonder Woman was also pinned down by proxmina as Batman was also taken down by Thanos and with the Justice League losing Thanos felt that the heroes of this universe were weaklings. Just then they felt a strong gush of force pushing all of them backwards including Proxima Corvus and even Thanos himself. It was none other than Victor Stone himself who then charged his cybernetic body and aimed his repulsor cannon towards Thanos shooting him down. Victor continued firing on Thanos with the power of the Mother Box and managed to injure him. Thanos told his lieutenants to pull back as they cannot battle against Cyborg for now while Batman and Wonder Woman brought Flash back to the cave. He was bleeding badly and Victor then told them about the Mother Box that was used on his own body which managed to save his life. Victor then said that they could use the Mother Box to save Flash but doing so will result in the inactivity of the Mother Boxes while Bruce also said that perhaps the Mother Box could be used to resurrect Superman and they decided to do one thing at a time. Flash was saved with the Mother Box as his organs recovered as though nothing happened and he was so shocked by what happened but due to the usage of the Mother Box the only two low locations of the Mother Boxes were activated. One of them was under Wonder Woman's possession while the others was in Atlantis thus Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian returned to their master. Ebony informed the Mad Titan of the Anti-Life Equation and its capabilities as the Mother Boxes needed to be united first for the Anti-Life Equation to be successful. Thanos then instructed the Black Order to attack Atlantis first as it would be the final location of the equation and according to Ebony Maw he knew of this after learning from the ancient scroll he had tamed earlier from the Justice League.
Act 5
Meanwhile, Cyborg took Clark's body and placed it into the atomic fluid in the Genesis chamber on the Kryptonian ship where Clark first crashed. Diana then used her Mother Box and together with Victor's Mother Box the two boxes activated and it managed to resurrect Clark Kent but Superman was still confused about his identity and started attacking the Justice League. They eventually managed to stop him but once Lois Lane emerged Lois and Clark fled back to Smallville first to give Clark time to recover.
Act 6
Meanwhile, Atlantis was under attack by Thanos and his Black Order. Atlantis was weakened and was unable to fight off the threat of Thanos. Mera was the last defender of the Mother Box’s location but was unable to defend it thus she was defeated by the Black Order and right before she was killed Aquaman came just in time. Thanos told his Black Order to retreat as they had already obtained the Mother Box and Thanos headed to an abandoned city where the possible location of the Anti-Life Equation is located or to be more precise where the terraforming would take place which would result in the Anti-Life Equation to be possible. Thanos decided to wait for the Justice League to arrive seeing as he had anticipated Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg arrived but Superman was nowhere to be seen as he was still conflicted about what happened to him. Thanos told his Black Order that their priority was to obtain the Mother Boxes which would be the result in the birth of the Mother Boxes thus the Black Order and some of the remainder of Thanos’s army battled with the Justice League.
Final act
Meanwhile, the Mad Titan set up the Mother Boxes and it opened a portal. With the formation of the boom tube Thanos could bring forth his army of Outriders and Chituari. Batman was shocked to see the hordes of Outriders being brought for the via the boom tube while Thanos linked the boom tube to use the Space Stone thus when Thanos’s armies arrived forth Batman urged the Justice League to defend the Mother Boxes and remove the Mother Box which was summoning Thanos’s armies. Just then several of Thanos’s spaceships was being struck from the outside by a powerful force thus Thanos was surprised and saw Superman. The man of steel shot laser beams from his eyes destroying the armies while Thanos then leaped forth towards Superman and both of them fought in a colossal battle. Despite not having the Infinity Stones Thanos was equally devastating against Superman as they were both locked in a close battle while Flash decided to use the distraction to remove the Mother Box but Thanos threw Superman to the ground and then gave a powerful shockwave to everyone in the area including Flash who flew towards the Mother Box and then he hit the Mother Box as he was in the Speed Force mode earlier. The energy from it caused a rift and one of the boom tubes stopped transmitting Thanos’s armies temporarily. Instead, another boom tube emerged and this time instead of Thanos’s army several heroes were emerging from it closing it. They revealed themselves to be none other than Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Wong, Bruce Banner and Spider-Man. The Avengers were surprised at what they were seeing and what was going on. It was then Bruce said that Thanos and his Black Order were there. Thanos said that he should have just killed the Hulk earlier while Batman realized that they shared the same enemy telling Iron Man that Thanos and his armies intend to use these Mother Boxes to terraform this Earth obtaining a secret power called the Anti-Life Equation which could control the minds of all living beings. Wong originally said that this wasn't their fight and that they could return to their original universe. Doctor Strange said that regardless of whether they return or not Thanos will be their problem should he emerge victorious with the Anti-Life Equation thus The Avengers assisted the Justice League to face Thanos and with the odds equally balanced the Mother Box which originally belonged to Thanos was taken by Flash. The heroes slowly destroyed Thanos’s armies until only the Black Order and the Mad Titan remained. Thanos and his Black Order then battled individually with the heroes realizing that there was no permanent way to defeat Thanos. Batman then told them that perhaps Cyborg could plant the coordinates of the boom tube to one of the Mother Boxes to somewhere else extremely distant in another universe and transport Thanos and his Black Order there. As Cyborg started charging up the Mother Box the heroes tried to halt Thanos and as soon as it activated theymanaged to Corner Thanos and his minions to the boom tubes. Superman Doctor Strange, Batman and Iron Man tried their best to direct the direction of the boom tube towards Thanos and his Black Order. It eventually became a success and the Mad Titan with the Black Order were all transported away to an unknown location.
Epilogue
With all 3 Mother Boxes back to the Justice League they thanked The Avengers for their help and although they didn't understand what happened or how the Avengers came to them the Justice League was grateful nevertheless. With the coordinates set back to where the Avengers came from the boom tube then transmitted them back to their universe the Justice League managed to prevent a catastrophic disaster from happening but Diana fears that the worst is yet to come. However, Bruce states that with the Justice League now formed with their new inclusions such as Green Lantern and with their founder Martian Manhunter by their side they are ready to take on anything that is yet to come in but unaware to them Thanos was still in the DCEU. The Black Order was all frozen and killed while floating in the universe. The Mad Titan's eyes opened indicating that he was still alive and saw fire everywhere. Someone then told him that he was in a place called Apokolips and the being approached and Thanos was horrified to see who it was. The being introduced himself as none other than Darkseid himself…
THE END!
And that is going to be ¿What if Thanos invaded Earth in Zack Snyder’s Justice League alias the Snyder Cut? Another MULTI-VERSE episode finished and completed and there is a lot more MULTI-VERSE content coming from me so be on the lookout for all that and more what ifs coming soon. Take care guys and have a fantastic day. Peace out!

i knoooow we’re all sick of the endgame discourse but FUCK if i don’t get fired the fuck up whenever i remember that tony and pepper worked w each other for 10 years before they were in a relationship for another 15 years (10 years + 5 years time skip), they with each other through all the ups and downs, got married, had a daughter literally a two decades long strong relationship but the russo bros & markus and mcfeely really just said fuck it! lets prioritize steve and peggy (only knew each other for 2 years at most, she shot at him with a gun in jealousy, kissed once, she moved on to get married and have kids, he moved on with sharon) at the last minute for nostalgia purposes and killed off tony when he had just gotten his family he had worked so hard for but they can somehow justify not killing clint because he has a fucking family lol
#endgame discourse#im sorry this is my very last post about this#tony stark#pepperony#anti steggy#mcu critical

hey i dont think steve was peggy's husband all along because in the movie hulk clearly says that whenever you go to the past it creates an alternate timeline. Steve would never sit his ass down when the world is in fire even when he deserves to have rest. The timeloop theory isnt right to his charcter but the alternate timeline preserves his personality. besides the russos said it was alternate tl and the directors opinions matters in the movie
So what the anon was talking about was this theory -
https://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a28611261/avengers-endgame-captain-america-steve-rogers-peggy-carter/
Which is complete bullshit! Like omg wtf is that guy even saying it makes no sense even he admits it makes no sense😑😑
So I agree with you. If they're going with alternate timlines how about they fucking stick to it!!
My babie @what-just-happened-bro was gonna explain it better to me. Could you pwease🥺🥺
Anyway that's the fun about theories. Movies (even marvel movies lol) are a form of art you can interpret them however you want. But I don't believe this thoery it makes NO sense.

Extraction: The Day Sexy Violence Wasn’t Enough
I was hearing a lot of chatter about Thor's new joint - "Extraction".
I originally wasn't interested, because... well...
I look at the rest of The Avengers, right after "Endgame" -
Capt hung out with real thespians in "Knives Out",
and now on his way to make a real dramatic mark.
(idk what Jacob did... something he ain’t have no business doing, by the look of his eyes, but Capt has got him)
Black Widow - made us feel with "Marriage Story"
Iron-Man did a movie for the kids... I think... or this is just a typical weekend for RDJ.
However, Thor said "Give me a bunch of guns and send me away to shoot brown people."
You're better than that, Thor! Plus, I don't really want Chris Hemsworth serious. But, like I said - CHATTER. So, I'm onboard!
Plus, perhaps the best thing for us, in the midst of this pandemic, is to stay inside with sexy ass Chris Hemsworth, and watch a dumb action movie. I don't need nothing deep. I don't want to think right now. Just give us sexiness and killing.
Thor wanted to get as far away from Disney/Marvel as he could. From start to finish, he's looking for somebody to kill.
I guess he also kinda looks like he’s looking for the bathroom. I mean, he’s going to kill people on the way there, but he’s looking... and he doesn’t know if he’s going to make it.
It did take a lil work before they could shoot the movie though, so I’ll rewind a sec. The last time that we saw him, he looked like this.
He had to hit the gym, switch to some light beer (Workout Note: You can't cut beer completed; that's something that crazy people do. You also can't completely cut out pizza. I know they say you've gotta cut breads out, but... that's fake news). Some weights, some squats, half a pizza (instead of a whole), and some light beer. And if you're still not getting the results you want - get lots of money, go to the doctor and the stylist, and you too can look like this -
I believe that we were all created by God, but some were made on a budget, and others look like Chris Hemsworth.
Now, we're ready!
The plot of this movie is simple. A kid gets kidnapped, and Chris Hemsworth needs to save the day.
That's it.
Chris plays Tyler Rake , who's family was tragically taken from him. You can't get much more generic action hero than that.
We find Tyler jumping off cliffs into the depths of the waters for fun/cuz he's a lil suicidal, and sitting down at the bottom to meditate (even at the bottom of the water, his hair looks amazing).
From the get-go, you know that Tyler Rake is a bit off.
This mold of generic action hero (we'll say "action star", I think after a certain body count, one can't be considered a "hero" anymore) will be keeping liquor stores in business
(another workout note: unless you've been engineered by the gods as Chris has, don't try working out on a whiskey diet - it won't end well for you)
, having teammates look at him as if he needs help (which he does), and bad guys aren't going to stand a chance. He has lost his family, and decided he's going to be crazy for the rest of his life.
This movie is in the hands of the Russo brothers (directed "Infinity War/Endgame"). They both brought some depth to the Marvel Universe. Fleshed-out Thanos. Made us get in our feelings.
They said "F that! We're just going to shoot people!"
And that's all that this movie is. I'd tell you more, but there's not much more to tell. Ever meet someone who, for better or worse, they are their career? - that's this movie. It's Tyler Rake killing people... lots of people, to save one kid... whom he just met.
Sometimes, they tried to go a lil deeper. There's a moment when the kid (the kid has a name, but no one in the movie bothered to learn it, so why should I?) starts asking Tyler about his family. Chris is crying his ass off, and the boy keeps asking him questions. Can't you see this man is hurting?! Ya jerk! In this moment, I should have felt something for Chris, but I didn't. I think I got up to get something to eat (maybe I'M the jerk). But, that kinda stuff isn't this movie's strong suit. Let's keep it moving!
Back to bullets, knife fights, rockets, people getting hit by vehicles, and blood spray!
As for that kid - parents teach your children how to run. This kid's form was terrible! Every time that he ran, he frustrated me. Chris would shout "Stay low! Stay behind me!" Nope. He couldn't seem to get that right. Plus, he's so lanky. You gonna get Chris killed, sonn!
I guess this is a decent pandemic movie. A good movie to make-out to... if you don't mind screams of dismemberment in the background. Whatever floats your boat. Like I said, the action and gun play in this movie is right on; if that doesn't get your juices flowing, Chris Hemsworth will:) His prettiness def saves the movie a lil bit.
Whenever he got into a fight, I felt the need to shout "Not the face!"
When he was close to fire "Chris, your hair!"
Grade: As good as the action is, something is missing in this movie. David Harbour is in this, and he's great, but not in it enough.
There's a guy that matches Chris's skills, who's really good at action, but he doesn't say all that much.
There's a woman in here who matches Chris's prettiness,
but she's just there to tell Tyler that he's gone too far, and to shoot a rocket (which is bad ass though).
I don't think that this movie is "dumb" enough. It's def not smart, but... it doesn't go enough in any direction, and it takes itself just a lil bit too seriously. It's kinda missing a soul.
I can't say enough about some of these slick action scenes, but at the same time, it felt like I was watching a really good "Call of Duty" game starring Chris Hemsworth.
I could have just played COD and hung a pic of Chris above my Tv.
I give it an unfortunate C-
There are prob some military fanatics that will enjoy it more than I did.
"Dude, did you see that blah blah blah 17 with the blah blah... clip... latch?"
"Yeah, bro, that blah blah blah was awesome... blah blah blah."
But, I need a lil bit more, personally.
Though I guess it's still a good make-out movie. Although, I would have had to stop periodically.
*kisses* "Baby, stop a sec. See, that was a perfect opportunity to build some character... to make me care about what's going on. The praphit needs connection."
*kisses* "Wait, wait... Chris has a close-up."
*attempted kisses* "Not when he has a close-up, ok??! We talked about this!"
I had higher hopes, but... still decent.
Ok, so SPOILER ALERT
2 things:
1) There's a villain in here (I didn't mention him, cuz they didn't do much with him). The pretty woman that I mentioned sneaks into the bathroom where the villain is. The villain is finishing up peeing at the urinal, and next to him is the pretty woman, who shoots him in the head.
I wonder though... was she there peeing at the urinal? - like... does she have something going on down there?
2) Tyler Rake dies... or does he?
The kid survives, and is at the bottom of a pool, meditating like his "hero". When he comes up for air, he sees a blurred image that looks a lot like Tyler Rake.
Possibilites:
a) Maybe he gets adopted by someone who looks like Chris Hemsworth (as if)...or who got surgery to look like him.
b) It's one of the other Hemsworths who adopted him.
Kid: "Were you the one who was with Miley Cyrus? Yeah, that's pass for me. I can't have a guardian with such poor judgment."
c) The kid is crazy
d) Ghost Rake! Yes!
e) Tyler is alive! And he was resurrected by witches.
Regardless, I'd be up for a sequel. I'm rooting for "Ghost Rake" and something going on down there with the pretty woman.
