It's always fun to see how each author's unique love for Fire Emblem comes out in little ways in their novelizations.

Ozaki-sensei is totally a big Zeke/ Camus fan. Maybe even has a lil' crush on him. Why else would he take a whole paragraph to introduce Zeke as a gorgeous bishounen (pretty boy), in both FE2 book 1 and 2? With luscious, wavy golden locks... flawless skin despite years of real combat experience (while describing, in contrast, that Jerome is covered in battle scars)... the eyes of a goddess...

You love to see it. None of these FE novels were a cash grab, they were all labors of love by genuine writers and fans. There's a reason why they are worth the years and years of effort to translate!

zeke crushing on you

when you and zeke first meet, he has no recollection of who he even is

he's a blank slate, a person with no memories of their former life

he can't even remember the place he used to call home

and yet, when he looks at you, there is the warmth inside of him

despite zeke not having a place to call home anymore, that word gets a new meaning when he meets you

you are his home and when he didn't have one

around you, he feels so safe, knowing you would never lie to him or do anything that could hurt him

he feels accepted around you, like he can truly be himself

this feeling of warmth and comfort he has around you only grows over time and what started as a small crush becomes unbearable after some time

zeke's heart yearns for you! it pains him to be separated from you

he wants nothing more than to be with you for the rest of his days

he doesn't know if he has someone back where he came from who's waiting for him

but even so, he doubts that person could measure up to you…

as funny as this is to say, i would love another remake of shadow dragon and the blade of light where the entire story is translated into english and has a lot of modern conveniences. i've begun to love fe6 a lot for how much mechanics it has substantially improved over shadow dragon and the blade of light, but from what i researched, new mystery of the emblem has never been officially released outside of japan anywhere, so english speaking audiences have never gotten that continuation of marth's story.
