Victor Frankenstein October Challenge

Welcome to the official Victor Frankenstein (2015) October Challenge.

Since this is the month of Halloween, what better way to get into the spirit then to revisit a recent favorite movie, Victor Frankenstein? 

You know you miss James McAvoy’s ferocious Victor, Daniel Radcliffe’s complex Igor, Jessica Brown Findlay’s radiant Lorelei, Andrew Scott’s dangerous Turpin and Freddie Fox’s charming but sadistic Finnegan!

The challenge will run from October 6th-October 31st. 

These prompts can apply to fan fiction, fan art, drabbles, graphics, poems, songs, music videos, costumes, etc, whatever you want! Any and all ships are accepted. You can even do something  that involves Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, (or as James likes to call it ‘RadAvoy’) if you want! "Oh god, did you murder Finn?" It was always a fun treat to hear his blend of sarcasm because it was always ever so creative. It was a simple question and she already had a hunch of the obvious answer, but the words slipped and the response was said. A small giggled snort followed at the remark before her brow furrowed in mock horror as she played along with the notion.

"I never really took you for the jealous rage type; though, in hindsight I should've guessed as much since you do have access to a lab." Tone obviously teasing as she walked across the immaculate floors towards the singular scientist in the entirety of the lab. A slight shiver followed as the chill of the room crawled up her skirt and bare arms making her wish she had brought a jacket as the cold bit her skin. If there was one place she did not like in the FinneCorp building was the labs, with its sterility and lack of warmth and then there was the occasional odd project she walked in on and then promptly walked out.

But it was worth it to talk to Victor for a few minutes at least. There were very few people she could say she had interesting conversations with, unforgettable even, but Victor Frankenstein was in the top three without a second thought. "How very Shakespearean of you. Skulls and murder and what not. You might want to be careful about that though since you might scare off another intern. Not all of them are as fearless as me." Or just plain trusting as I am.

Victor held up the skull, grinning almost as toothily as it did in his hands. With his unbuttoned lab coat flapping at his sides, revealing a t-shirt that read, in faded white letters: Chemists Do It On The Table overlaid atop a multicolored periodic table. In his skinny jeans, he looked more like an intern himself, but it was a lab day: Victor didn’t have to dress to impress. 

“If I wasn’t scaring interns, my life would be so boring,” he said. He posed with the skull the way he remembered seeing so many Shakespearean actors pose with Yorick’s skull. With a bit of impressive finagling, he snapped the jaw open and shut a few times. “Did you try calling me?”  Once sure he could puppeteer the skull, he made it “talk” to Liesel, repeating his voicemail message. “I’m sorry I couldn’t take your call right now. I’m either doing something infinitely more interesting or I’m trapped in a meeting. Phone’s dead. I don’t really get signal down here. I was using it for Spotify until it...” He pretended to slit the skeleton’s throat by running an index finger across his own arm in a slashing motion. “Everything okay? I assume you can’t get ahold of Finnegan since I was your first suspect in his murder investigation...”

I’m so sorry I’ve been so distant on this blog. I update my Victor Frankenstein Twitter account every single day though, just because Twitter is so much easier and faster to post on.

I still want to finish my Finnestein fanfic and my Radavoy fic. I’m just in the middle of rewriting my feature screenplay and guess what…. *drum roll*

I AM GETTING PUBLISHED.

That’s right. @ginagemeni and I will have a Sherlock Holmes novella published in the fall of this year. If you’re a Moriarty fan, you’re in for a treat.

But rewrites for that have been going on the past month as well as rewrites for our feature script, so… 

The answer is, no I have not forgotten. But I have professional writing duties that I must take care of before I get lost in the world of Victor Frankenstein fan fiction again. 

I do promise that I will write them eventually, though. This world is still too close to my heart.

I'm writing a Victor/Finnegan

fanfic and the prose is coming out as very poetic and I don't know why. I think it's because I'm currently reading "Atonement"...

Hey! Sadly, I have not seen any Finnestein fanfics… 

I have honestly adored this ship for a very long time (since I read the script 9 months ago) and have so many great ideas of a fanfic for them…

They have such an amazing history. They’re both rich and go to the same medical college. Finnegan has clearly always noticed Victor (obviously because he said that Victor had social issues) and why oh why did he stay and watch Victor’s Gordon presentation? He said himself that he had a coach waiting. So clearly there is some interest from Finnegan’s part…

Also, I love when Finnegan says that he knew the real Igor Struasman. That’s fascinating! So the real Igor, Victor and Finnegan clearly hung around the same social circle…

I want a fic where they are all go to a party, get drunk and shenanigans happens…. 

I’m smack dab in the middle of writing my Victor Frankenstein sequel screenplay (I’m on page 133 by the way), but once I’m done writing that, I will start on this lovely Finnestein fanfic idea that the wonderful @stephinthetardisatunit gave me :) So do not worry! It is on its way soon!
