#one of the people in my department is sick so we pulled a out of department coworker to do her shift today #she is !! so annoying !!#doesnt do anything right doesnt take anything seriously thinks she knows what to do better than the people whove been there daily (ME.#im not going to make sandwiches 10 minutes before the lunch rush are you kidding me)#anyway. shes got 4 grown kids and has this job to fill her time (left 40 minutes early) and specifically told the evening shift that she #makes it a challenge to annoy people. for fun.#'teehee i put the spoons away head up cause [vic] doesnt like it and [they] put it back immediately' its not a prank when it violates-#food safety. and also it is literally making more work for me. i worked 2 hours with her and im exhausted today. i only have 4 hour shifts #literally like. puts nothing in the right space does nothing correctly or finishes something in one go leaves the Strangest messes #put me on my autistic back foot (the hotcase is supposed to be the same everyday. for us AND the customers. no one knows where anything is!!#regulars come in and glance at it to see if we have their things in there and theyre just walking away cause its in the wrong spot!!)#anyway. she made me do the donut pull and didnt dump her trash and also put the oven waxpaper on the trays in the sink.#and told me to Not clean the meat slicer cause ill need to use it for sandwiches (the cooler that we put our sandwich stuff in broke 2 weeks #ago so we are low on space everywhere and are trying to keep everything to a minimum. there were 3 tubs of meat sliced AND ALSO IT WAS 10.#MINUTES. TO RUSH. IM NOT MAKING SANDWICHES CARRIE. For the past week, I’ve been asking my friend-coworkers their favourite animals, colours, and flowers because not only do I want to make some sort of gifts for them as a thank you for being my friend too and an appreciation for all they’ve done for me and our agency, but it’s actually very nice to get to learn about the small things about those around me.

#it’s so cute when few of my colleague friends told me they have a dog they’re taking care of #one showed me a poodle / yorkie hybrid named Diamond and she’s sooooo cute #I actually drew a Shibu for another as she likes small / cute dog breeds including that dog #the one who usually works with her overnight likes the same kind of dog breeds including Shibu as well so I will draw another Shibu for him #and hopefully I’ll be able to gift the Shibu arts to them tomorrow morning before they finish their shifts #I love making and giving gifts to my friends it’s always very lovely to do and see the reactions <333 #same with getting to learn more about my pals it’s awesome #💭

send help. it's supposed to be 91 degrees tomorrow. on my day off :(

#a sock speaks #work tag #food tag #it was high 80s today but I didn't even notice bc the air conditioner at restaurant job is punishingly high powered #I was wearing my long sleeved undershirt and leggings without any discomfort #but I have to run errands tomorrow and my car has no AC. the house also has no AC but is okayish at staying cool.#I wanted to make pizza today but didn't have time. might be too hot for pizza tomorrow :( but my ingredients are aging in the fridge #I finally got a paycheck but it's for the 2nd period I worked. I'm missing the first one and need to talk with the regional manager #and he's only in on Thursdays #also gotta request a day off to go to Portland with my cousin in 2 weeks #also gotta request off for orchestra which also starts in 2 weeks #also my aunt is trying to recruit me for a caregiving job and I'd have to take 3 weeks off to get trained #it'd be super easy to schedule both jobs once I'm trained but the training is a big time commitment #also restaurant job scheduled me for all graveyard shifts this week. if I can't adjust my sleep schedule I'll have to give a firm no on it #also gotta go to the bank to deposit my check and. uh. all of August's tips (terrifying)#also gotta call a vital records office in Maine about my mom's birth certificate bc we're trying to take her to Canada for her birthday #I don't think we have enough time but my sister wants to do it #also I want to finish knitting this sock that I started in June. I just have the toe left #also I finally confirmed the color and pattern for a baby blanket I'm preparing as a gift so I gotta get yarn #also I need to buy blackout curtains to fit my windows so I can sleep in the day if I work nights #also sometime this week my sister is cleaning the church. I want to go with her so I have an excuse to get ice cream from a shop nearby #also I need to clean my room and I should hang up the art prints & postcards I've been collecting for months #most of them are green to match my decor but some are just characters or scenes I like #oh! I also owe a postcard to a school friend #I had caffeine for the first time in several days and my brain is buzzing. there's so much I want to do and I have time to do it #and I'm excited about it!

#honestly whats gonna get me through the next 3 work days is that the team lead i hate wont be there #she's always saying shit like 'im not here for the drama'#but then she'll talk about some drama she has with someone else #or put herself in the middle of someone else's drama #she's gotta make it about herself #there was one day where my anxiety was getting bad and i started panicking a little #because 3rd shift left the backroom such a mess #and i had nowhere to put anything in my tiny work space #and she got mad at me and said i was giving her an attitude and sent me to work on the whole ass other side of the store #and then later she was like 'im sorry i just did it for your sake 🥺'#lmfao and then another coworker came up to me and said she was so mad and was venting to him earlier because she said i gave her an attitud #but he said he knows im not like that #she also likes to tell us we're under a strict time to finish the trucks but then she'll completely stop it basically just to announce #that she's mad #also when i first started working there she tried really hard to get me to hate my other team lead #he's so fucking chill and he never yells and he works with everyone #me and him talk about video games a lot #the mood and vibe is always much better when we're working with just him
