On January 13th 1989 was released The Raw & the Cooked”, the second and final album by rock band Fine Young Cannibals, one of my favorites and sadly forgotten acts from the late 1980s, The title of the album was lifted from the book of the same name (Le Cru et le Cuit in French) by French anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss.

*A FANTASTIC Cover! I have loved it since it came out. Fun Fact, Suspicious Minds is my all-time Fave Elvis Track! Followed up by Kentucky Rain in that ole’ #2 spot in Jamie’s Fave Elvis Tracks. I mean everyone always assumes it’s a Little Less Conversation but TBH that track would be down in like the #16 spot or something. lol Anyhow check out David Steele’s Bass work in this one! AMAZING!
