ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: My dad's ex-girlfriend. 🙃 Not weird at all, right?? I was going to be named something else entirely (which I would have actually preferred as it easily shortened to a masculine name) but my mother mentioned it to her sister-in-law, who gave birth two months before my mom did, and she used the name for my cousin! My mom was unimpressed. So I got a backup name. (My dad swears it's just cause he liked the name, they weren't even that serious.)

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: Hmm... A couple weeks ago I think? While reading fanfic. 😅

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: Nope. Tried a while back. Turns out my reproductive organs are broken as hell. It was probably for the best as it means I'm not permanently tied to my now-ex. Hope to foster some day.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: Hahahahahahahahahaa... no. Though every school coach tried to recruit me for basketball until they found out I have zero hand-eye coordination.

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: Probably too often.

WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR?: Blue

ANY TALENTS?: I like to think I'm getting pretty good at writing? I hope... I'm also a former pastry chef, so I can make all kinds of fancy shit and wedding cakes and such.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?: Writing, gaming, reading fanfic excessively, crochet (and knitting, cross stitch, sewing, all the fibre arts basically).

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: Currently two cats. Orange and Void. The Halloween Duo.

A Shot to Remember

“Ha!” Shepard punched the air in excitement. “That’s another point for me!” Looking up at Garrus, Raven smirked. “Still think you’re going to win?”

Garrus’ mandibles twitched before he huffed out a fake frustrated breath. “Oh, I’m still going to win. I’m the best sniper on the Citadel after all.”

Raven snorted out a laugh. “Oh? Is that so?”

“Won every competition C-Sec had.” Garrus gave her his best smirk.

“Pshh.” Shepard waved a hand dismissively. “They don’t know the ass end of their gun from the tip of the barrel.”

“Take the shot!” Doing her best to shout over the roar of gunfire Raven struggled against the Batarian's hold. They were ambushed, surrounded on all sides by the ship full of slavers. Someone had tipped them off. There was no way they’d know where the Normandy would land otherwise.

His hands shook as Garrus lined up the shot. If he was off by even a hair’s breadth he’d hit her instead. For the first time ever Garrus was afraid to pull the trigger. It had always been easy before, there were never any immediate repercussions, but now? Now Shepard was in the crosshairs. One wrong move and he’d lose his everything.

“Damn it, Garrus!” Tossing a few slavers away with his biotics Kaidan shouted over at the Turian. “Take the shot!”

Gulping down a deep breath Garrus steeled his nerves, forced his hands to steady, and pulled the trigger. That single moment felt like a hundred years as he waited for the bullet to reach its mark.

His heart stopped when Shepard dropped out of sight, her form no longer outlined by the notches in his scope. Garrus was frozen to that spot, his gaze locked onto his scope. A few painfully long seconds ticked by before Raven’s head popped back up into view. He’d managed to clear the shot.

Looking up from the scope Garrus returned to the fight, the roar of gunfire nearly muffled by the sound of his heart pounding in his head. Sucking in a deep breath Garrus forced himself to relax before rejoining the fray. “Firing a concussive shot!”

The shot hit a Batarian square in the face, knocking him back from his spot behind Kaidan. The biotic whirled around, ready to fire his pistol before he picked up what had happened. He offered Garrus a small wave in thanks before launching back into the crowd.

Soon enough silence overtook the battlefield, the Batarians were quickly picked off by a calculated combination of cryo blasts, sniper shots, and incendiary grenades. Once they were sure no other enemies would rush them the trio regrouped near the shuttle.

“Intel dropped the ball on that one.” Kaidan grumbled. Flexing his back a bit he tried to stretch out his tense muscles. He would never admit it but his body still ached, even though he was cleared for active duty.

Shepard huffed out a frustrated breath. “You don’t say.” Raven’s hands came to rest on her hips as she looked over the bloody field. “Batarians weren’t even supposed to be in this sector, and with the Hegemony on our side I assumed we wouldn’t have to deal with their bullshit right now.”

“Hey, old habits die hard.” Kaidan sighed. “They probably saw the chance at a quick buck and ran with it.”

“They could have been indoctrinated. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised.” With crossed arms, Garrus looked Shepard over. “Are you okay, Shepard? I was worried I’d hit you.”

Raven hummed and turned her attention to the Turian. “Eh, not a bad shot, Vakarian.” Shepard rolled her right shoulder. “Just barely nicked me.” She smirked. “A little more practice and you’ll really be the best sniper on the Citadel.”

Releasing the breath Garrus hadn’t noticed he’d been holding he groaned. “I hate you.”

“No, you don’t.” Raven chuckled. “You love me and you know it.”

Favourite OC - Usually the one that talks the loudest at the time so it'd have to be Marlo Ryder or Y'vonne Vollay right now.

Newest OC - Phryne Tav, my Baldur's gate 3 Drow Cleric. I've been fiddling with a piece for her and Astarion for three years now. Maybe I'll actually finish it before the game comes out...

Oldest OC - That I write? Alyss Shepard she's been kicking around in my head since 2007. I have others from 2000/2002/2004 that have never seen the light of day but they're there.

Meanest OC - Seyla Vorre...which isn't putting the bar very high. Fuck with her she will murder you cold (or dream about it...Ffon and Harkin I'm looking at you) otherwise she's just sarcastic and a softie.

Softest OC - Yvette Harrington. Which is why she and Muriel end up together. She's kind and patient and understanding and helps him come out of his shell.

Most Aloof/Standoffish OC - Hetti of Lyria. She's a witcher, so suppressing her emotions, her monster hunting and mutations tend to make people ostracize her (until they have a monster problem and need a witcher's help of course 🙄)

Dumbest (affectionate) OC - Stelloc Merr mostly because she's been very sheltered, having been with the Jedi since she was 7. She learned some things on the street, sure but she was only a kid.

Smartest OC - Triya Dolyani aka Revan. She's always had a thirst for knowledge and the more she could learn the better

Horniest OC - It's a toss up between Alyss Shepard and Odessa Cousland. While Alyss can turn nearly anything sexual, Odessa has the higher count of notches in her bedpost.

OC You’d Bang - Newti Lavellan, Carlotta Payne(the Arcana) or Marina Shepard would be a good time ;)

Ok so this got buried in my inbox for weeks and I finally have the gumption to answer. Sorry for the delay! I do really truly appreciate the engagement regardless of my tardiness. Thanks @finchmarie I'll answer for Johnny Shepard-Itou.

🍎 [RED APPLE] Who does your OC value above all else?

- Johnny values his personal connections above all else because often he feels so disconnected and isolated from the world around him. He knows he's a little different and sometimes dissociates. So the people that love him most and keep him grounded mean the universe to him. His dad and mom, his love interest and his handful of closest friends. It really depends on the 'verse. That said, I would say he has a really special bond with his dad.

🥭 [MANGO] What colours best represent them and why? Does this differ from their favourites?

-Johnny's favourite colour is a vivid banana leaf green. I do think this suits him to a degree because he does have a certain verve for life. I would say yellow is what suits his personality best though, he's like a little ray of sunshine, especially when he gives a genuine smile, instead of his masking people pleasing one

🍉 [WATERMELON] What will your OC take to the grave?

- at the end of ME1 he takes his mostly completed report for the captain that abused him since his first year joining the System's Alliance to the grave. During the time he's dead pre-ME2 his parents become aware of it and start to advocate for better reporting systems. In ME3 Johnny doesn't file the report until post war after grappling with the decision. But when he finally does follow through with it he's able to affect some change.
