“Mu Qing is too logical for his own good” is such a real problem that he deals with and as tragic as it makes his life I also think it’s really funny when someone is accusing him of something and instead of telling them to shut up or leave him alone the first thing he does is pull out the 95 fucking theses detailing every single thing wrong with their argument WITH historical evidence and additional considerations from scholarly psychology articles, MLA format works cited and completely annotated. Picked up the game again to finally dip my toes into the recent dlc. And i forget how much of a cluster fuck my 1st savefile is. Not that it's in a bad state, but it's just too much happening, too much everywhere. And i got nowhere to put new stuff. And it made me very stressed and angy.

It feels so great to see Lanyon get some sense knocked into him, Victoria can see what we all see, him not accepting Hyde being a part of Jekyll and it’s just so satisfying.

Anyway! On to my favorite part

I love the middle frame so much, its so pretty and mysterious and I know we’ve seen it before but thats actually my next point to talk about!

I like how Lanyon is realizing it with not a new scene but one we’ve seen before. It helps convey how blinded Lanyon actually was in the moment because this is from the same chapter when Lanyon was saying it was like Jekyll was two different people

It helps us, the audience, look back and be like OH YEAH, I REMEMBER THAT, and with it, it also helps us remember what Lanyon said around that time and it’s almost like we get a similar realization as Lanyon despite already knowing that Jekyll and Hyde are the same person and Hyde is not a demon.

It’s an amazing story decision and Sage was so smart to call back to it. I think I remeber this panel well because of a few reasons:

1. I remember the not of the chapter saying that this pannel wasn’t Hyde taking over Jekyll but the green eyes was a reflection of light

2. It has really interesting visuals with not only the lighting but the expression too

3. I’ve saved so many Jekyll pictures and I’m obsessed with him so

Now lastly we have this pannel

I don’t know what to say accept for yes, yes Lanyon you are an idiot

I’m just happy he’s finally moved on from his denial state of “Oh someone did this to you”, “you’re sick”, “You’re possessed” to finally getting to “oh, this is apart of you”

I do want him to talk to Jekyll more privately, and I’m hoping we get that soon (though if we get a Rachel ranting chapter before it I wont complain) I want Jekyll to tell Lanyon more about his Thoughts on it instead of Lanyon getting all the information from Frankenstine who dosent know all of the thought processes Jekyll had

The two need to have a healthy communication session in private so Lanyon can better understand and learn about it:)
