Note
if no one asked yet can u do agustin headcanons?
Nobody’s asked for any of the characters yet, besides Julieta and I’d love to do more! So here’s Agustín:
Agustín’s parents were born in Bogotá, Colombia
His parents are called Sancho and Juana
His father taught him to play the piano, he gets most of his musicality from Sancho
He is a master at chess and tejo
He has studied many languages
He is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Latin and Hebrew
He is a carpenter
He and Pepa became close friends as they were both outcasts
There was never romantic feelings between them, although they did promise if neither were married by 50, they’d marry each other
He met Julieta through Pepa at a party as he needed to be healed after falling off a roof
Osvaldo Ortiz wasn’t a big fan of his
His relationship with Alma was always strained and he knew she only tolerated him because Julieta liked him
Whilst dating Julieta, he met Félix and the two became quick friends, to the annoyance of Pepa
Agustín, Bruno and Félix were the ultimate trio
He loves birdwatching
He is also friends with Señora Pezmuerto, the fish lady (they were neighbours)
He has always been very fashionable
He and Félix practised his proposal song for six weeks - Agustín also kept pushing the date back from his nerves
They were married in May, 1925 (film takes place in May, 1950, for comparison)
Agustín wrote his vows purely for Julieta full of cooking references and bad puns
They had a private ceremony with only a couple of close friends and their families in attendance
They always knew they were going to have three children
Isabela was Agustín’s choice
He frequently took baby Isabela on nature walks - they would both come back with bee stings
He and young Isabela frequently got themselves injured and in trouble with Julieta
He freaked out a lot with how late Luisa was
By the time November rolled around, he thought the baby was dead and had lost hope
He cried for hours when Luisa was born
Baby Luisa was very clingy and screamed if someone left her alone for even a second, she particularly latched onto Agustín
He proudly showed Luisa off to everyone and anyone when she started talking - her first word being “Papa”
Very much Alexander Hamilton with Philip
There was a lot of pressure for Julieta to deliver a son, as she had promised to name it Pedro, and it only got worse after each girl. So by the time the third pregnancy hit, everyone assumed it would be a boy, following Alma
Agustín and Julieta experienced postpartum depression with Mirabel, as it was a disappointment and everyone seemed to distance themselves from her
Agustín taught Mirabel to walk by throwing books off the shelf, which she would retrieve and put back as she didn’t like mess
He realised Mirabel needed glasses at Camilo’s ceremony, when she couldn’t see him shapeshifting
He is concerned for his girls’ health, but finds it funny that Isabela and Luisa are as clumsy as him
He taught Dolores piano prior her gift ceremony
Camilo is his favourite of Pepa’s children
He taught Mirabel piano when she was toddler
Isabela and Luisa always go to him for advice first
They also will admit to him if they’ve done something bad and he helps them hide the evidence from others
He has anisometropia (myopia in one eye and hyperopia in the other) - Mirabel has myopia in both eyes
He tried to teach his daughters languages, but none of them were overly interested, besides Luisa, who knows most of the languages he does
He leaves short, individual handwritten notes for Julieta and his daughters every so often
He cries for hours when Isabela starts wearing suits after the film
Agustín and Julieta get caught kissing, frequently
The older Mirabel gets the more he mistakes her for her mother, especially if she isn’t wearing her glasses
He can’t wait to walk his girls down the aisle

Tipps für eine Lissabon-Reise mit Kindern
Tumblr media

Jede Menge Wissen im Pavilhão do Conhecimento

Não me iriam trazer felicidade nenhuma, seguramente.
E eu concordo plenamente.

Fallout: New Vegas
-The Latest Cool and Hip™ reboot movie from Bethesda
John McWhiteman was just an average joe working his 9-to-5 in Vegas. Stuck as a small time accountant working for the biggest casino on the strip, he dreams of making it big, when his world is turned upside down! When he’s struck by lightning on the roof, he’s suddenly transported to a wacky post apocalyptic wasteland version of the city of sin, where only the strong survive, as John quickly finds out. When he’s comically robbed at gunpoint for his favorite souvenir silver poker chip, hapless fish-out-of-water John accidentally gets caught up in a plot between the biggest gangs in the wasteland to take over the city. With a wacky, ragtag group of companions, John will encounter Boobs, guns, and just maybe… the true meaning of friendship
STARRING:
-James Mardsen as John McWhiteman
-Justin Beiber as Arcade
-John Cena as Boone
-Danny Trejo as Raul
-Matthew Perry as Benny
Mellisa McCarthy as Veronica
-Tilda Swinton as Cass The Movie:
-Constantly breaks the fourth wall and references pop culture
-it simultaneously makes inappropriate jokes as if it was aimed at adults, but it’s so stupid and juvenile that it’s also trying to appeal to kids. It constantly censors itself because they want a PG-13 rating. No one is allowed to say fuck (not even once)
-Tilde Swinton gets cast as Cass. She spends 7 months living in the Mojave desert as a ranch hand preparing for the role. She gets 5 lines in the movie and doesn’t even appear on the poster.
-There’s several poop and/or fart jokes
-There’s a John Cena joke that has aged like milk
-Bud Light product placement
-Benny dabs
-Veronica says “ok Boomer” to Elder MacNarama
-Forced Horse Armor Joke
-An arrow to the knee joke also
-Somebody says ”It just works” when they’re talking about the Platinum chip plan
-During the tent scene Caesar says that he “cancelled” Joshua Graham
-Rex is renamed Dogmeat for no reason, also is horribly CGI’d. There are hours of embarrassing footage of a man in a morph suit acting as dogmeat in the behind the scene special features, and they attempt to pass this off as a marvelous feat of special effects
-There’s a Todd Howard Cameo that’s incredibly unsubtle.
-Lily is in it for 5 seconds and she’s dumb like an east coast mutant
-13 minute Benny sex scene
-In one scene Vulpes Inculta is forced to do the whip and nae nae when he’s trying to blend in in the Tops casino and he cries
-When they introduce Caesar there’s a joke about him doing aerobics in his underwear and drinking wasteland-approximate starbucks-ish drinks before he makes public appearances. We get a gratuitous ass shot for the joke while Big Booty Bitches by TSpoon DJ Squad plays over it, and it permanently haunts your mind for the rest of the film
-Danny Tejo and Matthew Perry reprise their roles, they look like they’d rather be anywhere else
-Just when you think the movie is finally about to be over, The movie ends with a dance party where Vulpes shows up again and leads the cast in what’s arguably the worst, low energy rendition of “what does the fox say” ever made. It clashes with the rest of the film tonally despite everything else in it, and the cast look like they all want to die.

A chuva
Um dia sem novidades. Enfiei a mordaça. A água cheirava mal. Saí. Voltei. Pus musiquinha. Mahler de Morte em Veneza. Beijoquei o retrato de meu ídolo e mestre Rudy Giuliani. Pintei o cabelo de verde uma trabalheira. Liguei a televisão.

The writer: "And why are the women traveling in a truck? Symbolically, does this mean that women are seen as cattle or objects that can be trucked around?"
Mon reaction: symbolizing the women as cattle? It was insane, maybe you're never do some research to a small city or the rural and see what a mass transportation they used to get their access to go somewhere. Oops.. Ofc you used the car, the plane or the train in your comfort life. Enjoy it, privileges!
The writer: "What nobody seems to mention also is the fact that all the women are wearing the hijab, the Islamic headdress. If this film were made 20 years ago, this would not have been the case. There is a common consensus that Muslim attire is the indication of a good woman. How shallow, naïve and wrong is that? Bu Tejo is a case in point, but there are many other real women, who engage in corruption and other illegal acts, while wearing the hijab. "
Mon reaction: you need to know all women wearing hijab has the different idealism, principal, culture, the necessity, and oh need to remind you this one; also their heart indeed. You can't generalizing all hijabers are the same. It's like you thought that all human has the same things in and out. Take your common sense, please.

[Project Story] Sultan T
What is it? 1m30sec Music Video Clip When: 2022 Where:  Lisbon Roll: Director / Co-Producer / Post-Production Director What I Did: Went to Lisbon visit some friends ended up falling in love with the city and showcasing it on a music video clip for a producer friend. With: Cam Roda, Thomé Fioravanti, Madhu Chanda
Tumblr media
Here I am, back to Belgium at my family’s house. It’s march and snow is falling. As I finish editing Shun’s Odyssey, nostalgia starts to rise. Thibaut was still in Vietnam, doing a lot of things and sending them over for editing. But everytime I opened those fresh Vietnamese rushes, a cold flash would rise on my spine and hit my brain with a question “Why did I leave?” Anyways, I had to keep active and move on. The idea was to finish Shun and go back to Brasil, but as I started sending messages to my foes back there, everybody was either trying to get away from it or already leaving abroad.
So I decided to take my chances and visit all of those friends around Europe. First stop was Amsterdam, at Pedro Sugiura’s, aka Meraki, house. He had just moved. Pedro is a music producer and he already had collaborated with Phoq FM before, recording a chilled DJ set. He has a wonderful soul and everytime I visit him, his energy and Amsterdam’s combined generate weird and delightful experiences.
Second stop was Lisbon, where a lot of friends moved, including my former roomate André Ribeiro, one of my dearest friends, and Thomas Bicudo, another dear friend from Brasil, which I wrote a whole article about once [in portuguese tough =/]
Back in Brasil, me and Thomas went to a Lollapalooza festival together, at the apex of Brasil’s last cultural explosion (right before that Bolsonaro thing happened and got the whole country back to a medieval scenario), and he brought Thomé with him. That was the only time I met Thomé in Brasil. Since, Vietnam and a lot of other thins happened, and I have to admit I had kind of forgotten him.
Anyways, in Lisbon I stayed at André’s and quick went visiting Thomas. He had just moved as well and was sharing a really cool apartment with Thomé.
The energy of their kitchen was so nice (haha I’m not kiding) that I started hanging weekly with them. Some joints and laughs later, Thomé told me about his music production project, Sultan T. Then he presented to me Cam Roda, a funny tall guy from the U.S.A. that had a drone and made travel vlogs, and Madhu, a dancer and tea lover from Ukraine that was crashing at Thomas/Thomé’s place.
Tumblr media
The kitchen haha Thomé, Thomas and me.
We decided to team up and film a video clip for one of Thomé’s freshly produced tracks.
At that time, I was already in love with Lisbon. The ceramics, the Tejo, the chilled lifestyle, the beach nearby... Such a big change from the cold Brussels. And to be surrounded by Brazilians brought back that warm latino feeling that I miss so much. I was closer to home.
We didn’t have a DSLR camera, only iPhones, but Cam had a 4k Drone, so we decided to produce a fast paced clip with mostly drone clips, and let the iPhone lesser quality for the texture and slowmo shots.
Even if the production was small, it was so refreshing to be back on a set vibe, facing all the troubles and surprises of filming, and the pressure of editing (we sent the Video Clip to a local competition, so we had a deadline).
Soon after we finished it, I had to head to Barcelona for another Brazilian friend meet up. But I will forever cherrish those moments in Thomas/Thomé’s kitchen, the laughs, and the improvised tattoo Thomé did on me.
Obrigado Lisboa !

Portugal im Herbst: Achtung Sonnenalarm
Tumblr media
Warmes Wetter (fast) garantiert
Tumblr media
Irgendwie vergessen. Sorry. Oder auf Portugiesisch: Lamento muito. (Laut leo.org). Gegen Abend kommen immer mehr Surfer. Viele deutsche Stimmen sind zu hören. Studenten der nahegelegenen Nova School of Business & Economics.

Historische Straßenlaternen in Lissabon

Yo akhirnya aku ada feeling buat actually nulis
Soooo many things happen during this pandemic, dan akhir-akhir ini aku jadi lebih sering recording daripada nulis.
Anyway, makin kesini makin kepikiran relevansi trend budaya apa yang bakal populer di masa kedepannya, karna pandemi ini memincut banyak banget perubahan.
Aku ketrigger nulis ini spesifik karna teater sih. meski kemaren-maren udah recording soal konteks lain, kayak anak-anak, internet, teknologi, UX, dsb. Duh anjir jadi sakit perut. damn that's how excited I am about this topic.
Habis baca buku A Cultural History of Fashion in the 20th and 21st Centuries by Bonnie English (2013), aku baru tau fashion mengadaptasi metode teatrikal dalam sejarahnya. with a clear, sustainable purpose, yg kemudian pada zamannya menyebabkan revolusi fashion dan budaya.
Dicari! panggung teater!
Yaitu RPG.G stands for 'Game'.
" I read because one life isn't enough and in the pages of a book, I can be anybody."
feels familiar?
(that's why it's called 'a play'. figures something?).
David Patrick Green menyatakan dalam artikelnya,  "The 3 Major Differences Between Stage and Screen Acting," bahwa  “reality is less enhanced when a camera and microphone become involved. In fact, due to camera-work, score, lighting, and other effects, it is sometimes better to do less than you would in real life because so many things are augmenting your performance.” Oleh karena itu, meski kita melihat jauhnya pengembangan yang dapat diraih, we shall stay true to the main characteristic of the field. Mengambil contoh perjalanan Pixar, misalnya. meski mereka menemukan teknologi yang semakin canggih dapat menciptakan karakter yang semakin realistis dan detil, they didn't do that. kenapa?
"if a human were to look to real, then they would enter the realm of the disturbing uncanny valley. so while details like follicles and pores, could have been added, they were purposely left out." (The Pixar Touch: 2008).
kesadaran itu kemudian dihubungkan dengan karakteristik dan keahlian khas Pixar itu sendiri; "Pixar has been able to build convincing humans that doesn't follow all the basic rules of human anatomy throughout the years."Sampai sini konek? Now, what the heck do ya think theater REALLY is?

Lisboa, de Ulisses a Pandora
Tumblr media
A cidade ficou silenciosa, vazia, desocupada.
(...) A cidade não é um lugar. É a moldura de uma vida.” (in Pensatempos, 2005).

Salento
After a long 21 hour journey we arrived in Salento, a small town which apparently was the inspiration for the new Disney film Encanto. We stayed in a quiet hostel with 3 super cute dogs and a cat they all hated.
The main attraction in Salento is the beautiful Valle de Cocora with palm trees that can grow up to 200ft tall. We had hoped to do a 5 hour hike through the valley but recent heavy rain had meant most the route was shut. We got about 40 minutes or so into our short hike but had to loop back round as it started raining heavily again. We were able to enjoy the views before the clouds came into the valley! To get to and from the Salento we had paid for a shared jeep. With the rain coming down no one wanted to stand on the back of the jeep and hold on but the queues were huge and a bit chaotic (they don’t queue like we do) so we opted to stand and hold on. By the time we left the rain had eased off and it was actually really fun! That evening we went out and played Tejo again 💥
This region is major for growing coffee and chocolate, 2 things I now can’t enjoy thanks to covid. We had planned to do a chocolate tour the following day but the rain was relentless so we had to abandon the plan and decided to just head to our next destination of Cali earlier instead. It was a rainy couple of days but definitely worth it! It was quite different to anywhere we had been.
