Thinkin about sliiiightly more obviously inhuman pillarmen.

Their skulls are shaped subtly differently. It's not obvious on first glance, but the shape of the forehead is subtly different, more musculature to the jaw with added structure for those muscles to attach to.

Their teeth aren't human. They look it, save for the elongated canines, at first glance, but even the incisors are sharp, multiple sets of canine teeth, fewer molars and the ones they do have are shaped differently, better for cracking open bone than grinding plants.

They walk slightly differently. Their footsteps quieter than anything that size should be capable of, they tend to walk on the balls of their feet, balanced as well like that as any human would be with feet fully planted.

Their voices always have a subtle accent to them speaking human languages, languages not built for their subtly different mouths and vocal chords.

These differences feel all the starker comparing them to standard vampires- something that once was human besides something that was inhuman from the very start.

05/09/23: Thrift store media extravaganza! A lot of music cds got donated to the Salvation Army store today. Plus some movies too. A lot of music from the 50s to the 80s were in milk crates. But I ended grabbing these. Some Santana, Doors, David Bowie, ZZ Top, Beatles, Elvis and more. I found dvd series too; three seasons of X-files and others I'm a fan of Bruce Campbell, so picking up his Western Series The Adventures of Brisco County Jr was a no brainer. The previous owner must have liked Westerns. As there was a lot of them. I grabbed a few for me. All together, the lot cost me about $40 plus tax.

The closing of the Fillmore West brought out hundreds of San Francisco fans for a days-long celebration of the ballroom's legacy as a historic purveyor of Sixties rock 'n' roll. Bill Graham's famed venue could no longer support the ever-increasing fees charged by the national acts he presented, and the promoter had no choice but to close down. The revelry culminated in an evening of jams on July 4, 1971, and one featured John Cipollina, Carlos Santana and Michael Bloomfield. The show was heard live over KSFX and this file comes from that broadcast.

The men once known as the Central Park Five—five men who were wrongfully convicted of rape and assault over 30 years ago—filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump on Monday in federal court, alleging the former president acted with “reckless disregard” for the truth when he attacked them during the presidential debate in September. At the debate, Vice President Kamala Harris attacked Trump for his history of racism, bringing up the fact that he refused to apologize for calling for the death penalty for the men—Antron Brown, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana, Korey Wise and Yusef Salaam—even after they were exonerated in the 1989 rape and assault of a jogger in Central Park. The five men, now known as the Exonerated Five, had their convictions vacated in 2002, after another man confessed to the crime and DNA evidence confirmed it. 

Trump responded to Harris’ comments about the Exonerated Five at the debate by defending himself for taking out full-page ads in New York City newspapers that called for the men to receive the death penalty. “They admitted, they said they pled guilty and I said, ‘Well, if they pled guilty, they badly hurt a person, killed a person ultimately ... And they pled guilty, then they pled not guilty,” Trump said at the debate. But none of the five men ever pleaded guilty to the raping and beating of the female jogger. And none of the men were ever convicted of murder, as the victim in the Central Park jogging case did not die. “Defendant Trump’s statements were false and defamatory in numerous respects," attorneys for the five men wrote in the lawsuit. “Plaintiffs never pled guilty to the Central Park assaults. Plaintiffs all pled not guilty and maintained their innocence throughout their trial and incarceration, as well as after they were released from prison.” “Defendant Trump falsely stated that Plaintiffs killed an individual and pled guilty to the crime,” the lawsuit added. “These statements are demonstrably false."

Attorneys representing the five men -- Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, Kevin Richardson, Antron Brown and Korey Wise -- filed their civil suit against Trump in federal court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, seeking monetary damages over his statements, which they say have caused them "severe emotional distress and reputational damage." The five men, then teenagers, were accused of the violent rape of a female jogger in Central Park in April 1989. The five, who always maintained their innocence, were convicted and served years in prison. A decade after the attack, a different man confessed to the crime, which was confirmed through DNA analysis.

she's scared as hell when it comes to noa. why? because no one has ever made her feel the way that noa does. rowan has always been a non-committal gal, but when she thinks about noa, she thinks about everything she wants to do with the woman, which is a problem for a hundred different reasons. her guard aside, the age difference is a big thing that keeps her on edge. if her partners at the firm ever found out? she'd never recover, that much she's sure of. she's scared of the fact that noa has the ability to ease her emotions and anchor her to a moment, no matter high strung she might be. outside of being scared, she thinks the absolute world of noa. she thinks she's the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth and she thinks that her mind is just as beautiful. she loves their late night chats and she'll never admit it aloud, but she much prefers noa's apartment over her own skyrise because it's so much more homey. she thinks that noa is a threat to everything she stands for in terms of avoiding commitment and yet, she can't help but crave noa's presence in her life. so yeah, she's hot and she's got a pretty mind and has a good taste in wine. oh, and can cook. clearly rowan thinks she may be the real deal, but there's a lot to work through before she allows herself to be comfortable with that idea.
