So this is probably our most audio design intensive episode yet with the most original music too. And also our best episode?

Janet Russo talks about the moment she felt something awful happening to her son. This is some of my favorite writing from the entire series!

Hey, so I'd reccomend you double check other sources re: The RQ Article because the writer only clarified their position as marketing director for the competition *after* being pointed out the potential conflict of interest. Plus, a bunch of RQ network partners have spoken up and said their piece on how they feel the article uses their voices and misrepresents them without even asking them, on top of explaining that a lot of the things in the article are industry-wide problems of standards within the fictionpod sphere. There's also RQ's response and a bunch of responses from employees and ex-employees who feel the article does not represent them and actively misconstructs. It's a big topic.

this is all beyond me, but i did read both the article and the RQ reply couple hours ago.
i dont exactly appreciate you telling me about it anon, but thats probably on me for not reblogging both articles after i read them. you say its a big topic, so what a headache this must be on twitter.
and not that i really care about the writer, or 'drama' but why make that article? what was the writer hoping to achieve through exaggeration?

Our first episode is officially out! and with that, we ask a question:
Where do you listen to podcasts? Why there, and for how long?
currently tFSoM is up on Spotify, Stitcher, Amazon prime (+audible), overcast, and podcast addict! But we'd love to get it onto more apps - only problem is, we don't know what other ones there are! even most of these are from research, as we always used Spotify 馃槄
so, tell us where you listen to podcasts! help us conquer every app until there isn't a single place you can't listen to Alan and Josh bullshitting around and being sad!
the other couple questions are just for curiosities sake - we like reading rambles :)

bri.dgewat.er opinions:
it鈥檚 like fine. standard supernatural mystery stuff. nice to listen to misha etc lol (i i did want to be in his class ha). i feel like he鈥檚 kinda out acting everyone.
it鈥檚 weird that they like tell you to listen w headphones cause the sound design isn鈥檛 particularly good. especially cause it sounds like mi.sha was recorded somewhere completely different to everyone else.
(that has now been confirmed by m.isha himself lol)
aaand i couldnt bring myself to listen to the last ep cause of the tiktok debacle lol
(i dont generally listen to fictionpods but tma was better) (esp the sound design)

New Episode Alert! FINDING PATTERSBY - Chapter 4: The Law of the Sand available RIGHT NOW
Happy holidays everyone, we're pleased to present the ALL NEW EPISODE of your favorite weirdo mystery Finding Pattersby.
Show description:
Finding Pattersby is about a messy ex-ghostwriter who uses the public investigation of a legendary, missing thriller author to work through some stuff. Also the ghostwriter is a liar.
(When we last left Ryan, he appeared to be dabbling in plagiarism and had just discovered the existence of a literary secret society known as The Children of the Thrill...)
Episode description:
Ryan travels to a blue-collar beach town fallen on hard times to meet with a "beach lawyer" who holds clues related to The Children of the Thrill; elsewhere, he addresses unfounded rumors connected to his alleged plagiarism.
Starring Patrick James Clarke. Musix & Sound Design by Erik Jourgensen

WRONG: the first thriller novel was a book called "The Cobblestone" (1815) by Euphestus Gastermenn that follows a simple Cobbler caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he discovers that the town Alderman is not who he seems, and worse is of poor character and lacking virtue
