Hey GT! Do you hope to be a published author someday? What would you write?

No, I don't! Writing is a beloved hobby for me, but I don't aspire to publish. Fanfic scratches the writerly itch without putting too much pressure on the output, not least because I'm not asking people to pay for my work. It also means I don't have deadlines or expectations of output except those that are self-imposed. It's a nice middle-ground between locking up my projects in a secret folder on my desktop, never to be glimpsed by human eyes, and pitching my naked heart like a fastball in the general direction of the English-speaking universe.

If I ever had an idea for an original novel that I liked enough to finish it, I might try my hand at getting it published, but I see a bit of a difference between that and wanting to be a published writer. Like, if it happens, great; if it doesn't, I'll be just as happy.

It fits them so well, like Dillon trying to figure out of Lucas is into guys because he has a crush on him and doesnt want to shoot his shot if Lucas is straight, and then Lucas going all dear in headlights and freaking out. Dillon thinking that Lucas has something against gay people and is like, great, I should probably find somewhere else to live. Leah coming over and Dillon thinking that she is Lucas's GF and then they hit it off and he asks if Lucas is homophobic and Leah is like no???? our dad is gay??? and he's like - oh, he must just have a problem with me. ouch.

Freya asking Dillon out and everyone ends up at the SU bar where Dillon's band perform and Lucas has a crisis in the corner and then tries to kiss Dillon in the smoking area but Dillon has to turn him down bc of Freya. Lucas hides in his room for as long as he can and then Dillon corners him in the kitchen and tells him that he thought that Lucas used to hate him or something and then they kiss.

Also my fave fic I've written was a uni au. and I've drafted three ya novels (and a webcomic) set in uni so its kind of my thing.

so many fun lines from my OCs are the ones that look like utter nothingburger out of context so you can't like, put it in a web weave or smth. when jingwei says "you are not dismissed" / "where were you?" / "I have the situation well in hand" or jin ji says "not you, sweetness. I meant him" or when yi shun says "her" or when yu fen says "I did pay you to hurt me?" / "with you?" like none of these are poetic none of these are lyrical. but I believe humans being direct and simple has a certain appeal don't u think
