This is a short story I wrote back in 2016 (at 1am according to the time stamp), while I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression. I was having anxiety attacks in my car before work, and I remember spending long periods of time crying on the floor in my shower. I had suicidal thoughts. It was the worst year of my life. I used to sit in my little walk in wardrobe sobbing and praying to the Lord to either fix me or take me home.
I hadn’t re-read this story since 2018. I couldn’t bring myself to look at it or share it, since just the thought of it made me remember that time of suffering. But I read it today and found comfort and encouragement in a story I barely remember writing myself, that feels like it was written by a different person. I was suffering, but in my grief and struggle I was still desperately clinging onto God. And I know he was with me then, and is with me now.
I also know that through that 2 years of depression, and all the years since then living with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibomyalgia, that God has been alongside me and helping me to work through all the hard things in life. I have grown and changed so much through these experiences. I lived in a bubble, in my own little escapist world, with all the people around me kept at a safe distance. I was detached. I had no real emotional connections with others. I was self obsessed, swinging between self hatred and the idea that I was the main character and deserved only good things. I helped others frequently but without entering into their sorrows and struggles with them. I hated asking for help myself.
God has helped me deal with and heal a lot of my brokenness, but of course the process is ongoing (and will continue to be ongoing as long as I live). I hope that this little piece of writing helps to encourage you not to keep ploughing forward on your own.

[written after a phone call recounting bloodwork with my father]
I spend my days resting
“I sure hope you’re doing more than healthcare right now,” he says
How can i?
Being chronically ill is a full time job
If my energy is being put towards addressing the pain I wake up with and trying to reach a balance, I find it and then all energy goes towards knocking chores down off the list. I start with dishes. I sweep. Clean the cat litter. I take out the weeks of cereal boxes that have piles up because I often lack the energy to make a meal beyond the ease of grains in milk. I got to the bathroom. I go again ten minutes later, interrupting my progress in chores. The pain comes back, so I slip back into a period of rest. Rest doesn’t come because my muscles are too tight and torn and there is no way to lay down without injuring my shoulder. I don’t sleep. I feel worse incrementally every day because I cannot heal this body that has more inflammation than I have carried in years.
I contact my doctors when it gets too bad. I have mandatory bloodwork taken and again, no answers but there is an increase in the inflammation, yes. No, it’s not hormones. It’s not RA. Higher CRP, though. High red blood cell sedimentation rates. Inflammation spreading in my body beyond anything I can control. What can I control?
“It’s fibromyalgia” “it’s a vitamin d deficiency”
Saw the Rheumatologist who screened me 5 years prior for other nebulous arthritic pain in my hip, knees, and hands. It was “IBD related arthritic response”. I suspect the same will come from this appointment, but my hand surgeon requested the meeting and as an ill person, it’s the “responsible” thing to do to rule out other complicating factors. But she said the exact same thing as our consultation the first time.
Do you take Vitamin D?” (I told her yes in person, but she sent it again in writing)
I take more than recommended. I’m still below the baseline. I have a gut that doctors have told me for years refuses to absorb the nutrients I feed it. What the hell am I supposed to do? How much Vitamin D can I take before it’s absorbed? How much before it’s considered toxic? Is there a limit?
So yeah. I rest all day. I’m taking care of my body that is fighting any number of battles throughout my body at once. That’s being for me right now. I hope that’s enough

It's totally okay to ignore canon if you don't want to make your dragons' lore work around it
so I have to admit I kind of already do that with dragon sizes bc otherwise no one can convince me fae can breed with anything other than other fae
but in the whole “too much magic= dragon asplodes” deal, I kind of like it? Working within limitations forces me to get more creative, so in this case I kind of like the idea that Voryva has to be very aware of how much magical power he amasses, and that he feels the side effects. I’m not a fan of being able to just sling around lots of magic without a consequence.
My worry was if I applied it to Voryva’s lore as a form of fibromyalgia if that would be offensive to folks with fibromyalgia? I initially had the idea because I saw someone in WoW apply the same exact logic who actually had it OOCly, buuuut as I don’t have it myself, is that okay to do? That’s the caveat I’m not sure about.

Intense Candle Rituals
So, I went to my favorite witch shop, Practical Magic, yesterday to drop off some banana bars my mom had made for the owner, Tara. I hadn’t been there in 2 weeks due to depression/pain and the energy felt kind of off, like it was at a lower level than before (usually it just makes everything feel better). I ended up doing a pretty long reading for her about her relationship. She did 3 different readings for me: Oracle cards, affirmation (I think?) cards and finally tarot. She ended up figuring out that love, in general, is something I have a reeeally hard time with. So, she read a little more and decided she needed to give me a candle (yellow, specifically, with my name carved in it, and anointed with rose oil). So, I came back today to do the ritual with the candle, and ended up helping Tara and 2 other girls there with a ritual for Tara. Apparently an ex had been doing spells on her and we were doing a simple candle ritual to break his work. So, Tara carves his name and birthday into a small silver spell candle. Each of us anointed it with a different kind of oil and said our intentions out loud. We lit it with my charged Zippo, and then shit got interesting. The wick stayed intact the whole time, and even re-lit at the end; the flame would occasionally hiss, split into two (representing the ex and his spirit/deity help. They eventually freaking fought each other right before the candle went out, and right after the burnt wick re-lit), pulse, and after applying a little Mars oil the flame tripled in size but also came to and extremely sharp point; the wax melted into heart shapes (indicating love spells being broken); Tara felt the ex feel the magic work; and all of use felt something in our upper arms at the same time, which they said meant it was working (this is only the 3rd time Ive done any spells centered on a candle, with the 2nd time being the yellow candle spell I did right before this one). Then I felt the slight off-ness go away. So, yeah. It was kind of intense.

Inspired by the Doctors Kitchen, I invented this really lovely dish. It's fish and prawns cooked in low fat coconut milk, a beautiful broth with turmeric, lemon grass and lime leaves. I also used ginger, garlic and shallots, lime juice, fish sauce and rice wine and a bit of smoked sweet paprika for a tiny bit of heat. The salad is grated fancy carrots and spinach with toasted sesame and peanuts. The dressing is from the Doctor's Kitchen. Have to say I had an umami moment! I was very tired though, but that's why I cook, to make myself better from fibomyalgia and colitis. I've a well organised kitchen here so it's easier. #veronicaaldousarts #thedoctors_kitchen #artistswhocook #umami #artfood https://www.instagram.com/p/B4pG7_jFy6t/?igshid=iqtoxf7xqqd8

Take Care of Your Back Pain Naturally
You should know that back pain is a symptom - not a diagnosis in and of itself. There are several possible causes of back pain, including:
Mechanical Problems
This is a result of the way your spine moves or the way you feel when your spine moves in certain ways.
One of the most common mechanical causes of back pain is a condition known as intervertebral disc degeneration.
This basically means that the discs located between the vertebrae are degenerating, or breaking down with age. As they break down, they lose their ability to cushion the vertebrea.
This can result in back pain if the back is stressed. Another mechanical back problem is the wearing down of the facet joints, or the large joints that connect each of the vertebrea to each other.
Other mechanical problems that lead to pain in the back are spasms, ruptured/herniated discs, and muscle tension.
Injuries
Injuries to the spine, such as fractures or sprains, can cause individuals to experience short-lived or even chronic back pain.
Sprains occurs when the ligaments supporting the spine become torn-which can occur if you twist or lift improperly.
Typically, fractures vertebrae occur as a result of osteoporosis, which is a condition that causes weak and porous bones.
Less commonly, back pain occurs due to more severe injuries that result from falls or accidents.
Acquired Diseases/Conditions
There are lots of medical problems that can either cause or contribute to back pain. These include the following:
Scoliosis: curvature of the spine and causes pain around mid-life
Spondylolisthesis
Arthritis: including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis
Spinal stenosis: a narrowing of the spine that placees pressure on the vertebrae
Pregnancy
Kidney stones/infections
Endometriosis
Fibomyalgia
Infections/Tumors
Though not common back pain causes, infections can result in pain when the vertebrae are involved, which is a condition known as osteomyelitis, or if the discs that cushion the vertebrae are involved, a condition known as discitis.
Other fairly rare causes of back pain are tumors. Sometimes, tumors can begin in the back, but are often a result of cancer that has spread from other parts if the body.
Though it is true that most of the time, the causes of back pain are physical, you should also known that emotional stress plays a role in the severity of the pain and the length of time it lasts.
Stress can have lots of effects on the body, including causing the muscles in the back to becomes tense, and therefore painful.
Also, depression or anxiety that goes untreated could results in the back pain being much worse. Insomnia can also contribute to pain in the back.

Natural Treatments
In most cases, doctors will reach for their prescription pad to treat back pain.
Howevere, you should know that you don't always need pain pills to deal with your back pain. Following are some natural treatments.
Acupuncture
There is strong evidence that acupuncture can be an effective supplemnet when used in conjunction with other forms of conventional therapy. So, how does it work?
Traditional Chinese medicine says that pain is a result of blocked energy pathways in the body, which can be unblocked by inserting needles along these invisible pathways.
If you'd like to try acupuncture to treat your back pain, you should know that in order for it to be effective, you must go one to three times per week for several weeks.
You may be able to use it as a medical write-off on your taxes, and there are some insurance plans that now cover acupuncture.
Massage Therapy
One study showed that massage could be beneficial for thse ndividuals who are suffering from subacute and even chronic nocpecific low back pain, especially when used in conjuction with exercises and education.
However, more research is necessary to confirm this conclusion. Additionally, massage therapy could be used to alleviate depressio and anxiety associated with chronic pain.
For women experiencing back pain suring pregnancy, massage therapy is a popular choice.
Chiropractic Care
One of the most common reasons people visit a chiropractic is due to back pain. Chiropractors use manually manipulate the spine in order to restore mobility to the joints.
They apply a manual, controlled force to those joints that have become restricted by muscle strain injury, pain, and inflammation.
It is believe that this manipulation relieves the pain and tightness in the muscles and encourages healing.
It appeares that chiropractic care reduces symptoms and improves function in those suffering from acute low back pain and sub-acute, as well as chronic low back pain.
Anti-Inflammatory Herbs
Since it is believed that inflammation plays a role in back pain, there are certain herbs that can be used to relieved inflammation and therefore, back pain.
For example, white willow bark is thought to have pain-relieving properties very similar to those of aspirin.
Another herb that is used in treating back pain id Devil's Claw. This herb contains harpagosides, which are thought to possess anti-inflammatory properties.
Yoga
Practicing yoga helps to provide balance to the body through various poses that promote both strenght and flexibility. Some research has shown that practicing yoga can actually help with back pain relief.
Of course, since back pain is a symptom and not a disorder in and of itself, you should visit your doctor and figure out whta exactly is causing your back pain so that you can treat the cause and not just this symptom.
Also, before trying any herbal remedies, speak with your doctor, as herbs can have interactions with other medications you may be taking.

🌹HEALTHY TIPS FOR PERFECT LIVING: FROM DR TAHIR MD STOP THYROID SUFFERING . WEB:http://totalhealthcarephysician.com/success-stories.html TEL. 5854815408 🌹 _______________________________________________ SYNTHROID (LEVOTHYROXINE ) COULD BE INCOMPLETE TREATMENT FOR HYPOTHYROIDISM . ARMOUR THYROID AND OTHER GLANDULAR ( DESICCATED ) THYROID MAY BE A SOLUTION . _______________________________________________ Synthroid (levothyroxine ,Levothroid, Levoxyl) is synthetic product , and has only T4. Human Thyroid has many products, like T3, T2 ,T1 , Calcitonin , Selenium , Diuretic substance and others. along with T4. They are there far a good reason. In other words treating thyroid deficiency with only T4 is treating patients partially, and not providing patient with whole thyroid. That is the very reason, many patients on Synthrouid still not feel well . Is T 3 important? Yes, indeed. T3 is more important then T4, because it is free T3 which is more functional and act on cells to work. T4 itself has no function on cells and has to be converted to T 3 which make free T 3 . Free T3 is the only product to work on cells. If this conversion of T4 to T3does not happen ( for example in cases of hormone imbalance, estrogen excess, toxins, heavy metal ingestion , iodine selenium and other deficiencies , infections etc ),then patient will remain hypothyroid even he/she is getting T 4 Synthroid, and his/her TSH is normal. TSH being normal gives illusion to many doctors that their patients are doing fine, but actually they are having hypothyroidism which is not recognized by many conventional doctors. A study from New England Journalists of Medicine has shown that adding T 3 to T 4 enhance mood and brain function. Another study showed T3 impact significant improvement in Chronic Fatigue Fibomyalgia patients. It shows T 3 and possibly other parts of thyroid have important role to play and they should not be ignored. How to solve this problem? Give T3 along with T4 or still better give natural thyroid products like Armour Thyroid, Nature- Thyroid ,Westhroid. Fibromyalgia - symptoms, causes and risk factors
Fibromyalgia - symptoms, causes and risk factors
Fibromyalgia is also known as FMS (fibromyalgia syndrome). This is a long – term condition which is causing pain all over the body. This disorder is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain that is accompanied by mood issues, memory and sleep issues and fatigue. There are some doctors who believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensation by affecting the way that your brain processes pain signals. Symptoms in some cases begin after significant psychological stress, infection, surgery or physical trauma. In other cases, symptoms of fibromyalgia gradually accumulate over time without triggering event. Women are having increased chances of developing fibromyalgia compared to men. Many people who have fibromyalgia also have depression, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, TMJ disorders (temporomandibular joint disorders) and tension headaches. There is no cure for fibromyalgia but there are many different medications which can help to control symptoms. Stress – reduction measures, relaxation and exercise can help in the treatment of fibromyalgia.
Symptoms of fibromyalgia
This condition has many symptoms that vary from person to person. The widespread pain is the main symptom of fibomyalgia. There are some periods when your symptoms get worse or better, depending on factors such as
How physically active you are
Changes in the weather
Your stress levels
Here are the main symptoms of fibromyalgia:
Widespread pain: This is the main symptom of fibromyalgia. This can be felt throughout your body, but it could be worse in particular areas such as neck or back. The pain is usually continuous but at different times it could be better or more severe. This pain could feel like: a sharp, stabbing pain; a burning sensation and an ache.
Fatigue: Fibromyalgia can cause extreme tiredness (fatigue). This can range from a mild, tired feeling to the exhaustion which is often experienced during flu – like illness. Severe fatigue can come on suddenly and it can drain you of all your energy. If this happens, then you can feel too tired to do anything at all.
Cognitive problems (“fibro-fog”): Cognitive problems are problems which are related mental processes such as learning and thinking. If you have fibromyalgia, then you can have:
Slowed or confused speech
Problems with attention and concentration
Trouble remembering and learning new things
Headaches: If fibromyalgia has caused you to experience stiffness and pain in your shoulders and neck, then you can have frequent headaches. They can vary from mild headaches to severe migraines and also they can involve other symptoms such as nausea (feeling sick).
Fibromyalgia causes
Doctors do not know the cause for fibromyalgia but in the most cases involves a variety of factors that are working together such as
Physical or emotional trauma: It is known fact that there are some cases when fibromyalgia can be caused by a physical trauma such as a car accident. Also the psychological stress can trigger fibromyalgia.
Genetics: This condition tends to run in families so there can be certain genetic mutations which can make you more susceptible to develop fibromyalgia.
Infections: There are some illnesses which can aggravate or trigger fibromyalgia.
There are some scientists which say that the repeated nerve stimulation is causing the brain of people who suffer from fibromyalgia to change. This change is involving increase in levels of some chemicals in the brain which signal pain (neurotransmitters). Also the brain’s pain receptors seem to develop a sort of memory of the pain and this can become more sensitive which means that they can overreact to pain signals. Risk factors: Here are some risk factors for fibromyalgia:
Family history: If your relative has a fibromyalgia, then you have increased to chances to develop it.
Your sex: This condition is diagnosed more often in women compared to men.
Other disorders: If you have lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, then you have increased chances of developing fibromyalgia.
Complications: There are some symptoms of fibromyalgia such as lack of sleep and pain which can interfere with your ability to function on the job or at home. The frustration of dealing with an often – misunderstood condition can result in health – related anxiety and depression.

Hello, doctor. Yes I seem to have a lot of things wrong with me.
I have pain throughout my entire body
I am always tired now matter how much sleep I get
My stomach feels like it's about to explode every time I eat.
I get a urinary tract infection every 6 weeks. at least.
I frequently have double vision
I have tremors in my hands
I can never seem to get enough oxygen
Light makes my pain worse
Noise makes my pain worse
Activity makes my pain worse
Doing nothing makes my pain worse
Clothes make my pain worse
No I do NOT have any tender points
But yes, I am tender
I get migraines all the time
My eyes are drier than an old lady's
my joints don't work correctly
my muscles don't work correctly
I'm stiff in the morning
I'm sometimes nearly too weak to walk
I'm in pain
I'm in PAIN
I'M IN PAIN
I'M IN P-A-I-N
I hurt
like a lot
I don't know if you understand the point
There's pain
everywhere
Can you tell me what's going on?
"No, sorry. That's not in my field."
"I don't see anything wrong with you."
"Don't let anyone tell you your pain is in your head."
"All of your tests have come back clear."
"I think you have fibromyalgia."
"You definitely don't have fibromyalgia."
"You're a medical mystery."
"Here are some pills."

Letter to "normals" about Fibromyalgia
There are the things I would like you to understand before you judge me...    Please know that being sick doesn't mean I'm not human. I may spend most of my day flat on my back and I might not seem like great company, but I'm still me stuck inside this body. I worry about school, work, family and friends and I'd still like to hear about yours. Please understand the difference between "happy" and "healthy". When you've got the flu you probably feel miserable but it will pass. I've been sick for for so long that I can't afford to be miserable all the time, in fact I work hard at not being miserable. So if I sound happy, it means that I'm happy, it does not mean that I am well. I may be in pain and sicker than ever. Please, don't say, "Oh, you're sounding better!".  I am not sounding better, I am sounding happy. If you want to comment on that, you're welcome. Please understand that being able to stand up for five minutes, doesn't mean that I can stand ten minutes, or an hour. It's likely that five minutes has exhausted my resources and I'll need to recover - imagine an athlete after a race. They couldn't repeat that feat right away either. With a lot of diseases you're either paralyzed or you can move, but with Fibromyalgia it gets more confusing. Please repeat the above paragraph substituting, "sitting up", "walking", "thinking", "being sociable" and so on ... it applies to everything. That's what a fatigue-based illness does to you. Please understand that chronic illnesses are variable. It's quite possible (for me, it's common) that one day I am able to walk to the park and back, and the next I'll struggle to reach the kitchen. Please don't attack me when I'm ill by saying, "But you did it before!".  If you want me to do something, ask if I can and I'll tell you. In a similar vein, I may need to cancel an invitation at the last minute, if this happens please don't take it personally. Please understand that "getting out and doing things" does not make me feel better, and can often make me worse. Fibromyalgia may cause secondary depression (wouldn't you get depressed if you were no longer able to participate in life?) but it is not caused by depression. Telling me that I need exercise is not appreciated or correct - if I could do it, I would. Please understand that if I say I have to sit down/lie down/take these pills now, that I do have to do it right now - it can't be put off or forgotten just because I'm doing something. Fibromyalgia does not forgive. Please understand that I can't spend all of my energy trying to get well. With a short-term illness like the flu, you can afford to put life on hold for a week or two while you get well. But part of having a chronic illness is coming to the realization that you have to spend some energy on having a life now. This doesn't mean I'm not trying to get better. It doesn't mean I've given up. It's just how life is when you're dealing with a chronic illness. If you want to suggest a cure, please don't. It's not because I don't appreciate the thought, and it's not because I don't want to get well. It's because every one of my friends has already suggested every theory known to man. I tried them all, but quickly realized I was using up so much energy trying new treatments I was making myself sicker, not better. If there was something that cured Fibromyalgia, all of us would know about it by now.  If you read this and still want to suggest a cure, submit it in writing but don't expect me to rush out and try it. If it is something new, with merit, I'll discuss it with my doctor. Please understand that getting better can be a slow process. Fibromyalgia entails numerous symptoms and it can take a long time to sort them all out.  I depend on you - people who are not sick for many things but most importantly, I need you to understand me.
