She was originally an expert in espionage and poisons but became a doctor. She adopted a baby and taught her how to be an even greater doctor. She's very underrated and deserves to be appreciated.

The sex scenes are few in FGEP, and I'm not thoroughly satisfied, but this was my favorite sex scene. 😂 I love how Li Xian took initiative for this one. ❤ fanfiction writers, please write more for FGEP. I've already finished the 5 on archiveofourown.

SPOILER FOR FGEP!!

(I haven't read any extra chapters for now, in case anything I say here contradicts that)

STILL thinking about Li Huan... Like what's his deal?? What was he planning??

He didn't seem very interested in gaining power for the most part, except much much later in the book, but even that didn't make sense?

How'd he know about Lou Yi? What was he planning to do with that information? Also, iirc he was the one who accidentally made Li Xian trip so she lost her "baby" and when I first read that I thought maybe the two conspired together?? Either that or Li Huan did in on purpose by himself, and it just so happened to be in Li Xian's favor (though I really wouldn't know what Li Huan would gain from that (but ALSO also I have no clue about politics, especially ancient ones so)). Because him really just tripping on accident which then in turn was a big help for Li Xian to cover things up just seemed too big to be a coincidence

And what was the point of killing the Emporor? His mother was the Empress now so that already gave him a lot more power, so I don't really get killing the Emporor, especially after he rlly impressed him w shooting the bear in the eye at the hunt

JUST I do think there's reasons for these things, and maybe they're even in the extra chapters but I think it's interesting to speculate

I was pretty excited to read Female General and Eldest Princess bc I’m a lesbian and wlw needs love, and I enjoyed the beginning, but I Did Not Vibe with the ending. Adding a more in-depth explanation under the cut for people who don’t want spoilers, but it’s not very extensive.

I guess it’s just disappointing and frustrating to have Li Xian working so hard to secure her brother’s right to the throne, up to and including pushing Lin Wanyue to abandon her modest position to seek power and acclaim to help Li Xian secure the Crown Prince’s power, then have Lin Wanyue build connections with the citizens and her fellow soldiers to protect the common good, only to suddenly decide that the Emperor they have jointly protected and guided to ascension can’t be trusted and therefore it is both good and right to fuck off into the countryside. I can get behind the decision that peace is better than war and treaties are better than slaughter, but part of Lin Wanyue’s arc involves getting her to open up to and rely on other people, which isn’t consistent with her sudden abandonment, especially if the catalyst for that abandonment is the ascension of the new Emperor, a goal which is the driving force of the novel. Why should I care about this story if you’re just going to tell me that the characters the readers have been rooting for over the course of the novel are disposable in the greater political landscape. What’s The Point

(bonus point: maybe this is more resolved in the extras that I more or less skipped due to ragequitting, but poor Lin Baishui! her original parents die, she gets adopted by our mains, and then Lin Wanyue is absent for 2-3 years because she’s avoiding Li Xian and almost as soon as Lin Wanyue comes back, she fakes her death and Li Xian leaves to “become a nun,” but Baishui is trapped in the capital. Jesus Christ. someone give that girl some parents)
