Had caught @iron-sparrow AFKing a little before patch maintenance last week so I wanted to take a quick pic of Yein and Arsay together 😊 I think they would get along

A rooftop garden became something of a necessity. Not simply for the sweet sparrows that learned they could rest there before carrying their messages on, but for Imayo and Kokoro as well.

Plants didn't shy away from her; she could grow plants. And Kokoro seemed to enjoy the sun and air, the flowers that they batted about without harming them.

She found more enjoyment than she'd expected in maintaining it, and smiled far more often.

Catching Up

“You ready for this!” Lyse yelled from across the menagerie, assuming her ready stance. A stupid grin was plastered across her face as she sized up her friend across the way.

Crescent rolled their shoulders in a mock display of stretching, a similar stupid grin on their face. “I was born!” they yelled back, striking their own ready stance as Lyse chuckled.

Then silence.

Lyse charged, closing the gap quick as lightning with a kick that Crescent just narrowly dodged. They retaliated with a kick of their own, easily blocked by their opponent.

They traded, each dodging and blocking, neither gaining any ground on the other. “Oh come on!” Lyse grunted, “I know you can do better than this!” She attempted to sweep Crescent’s legs.

Crescent flipped backwards easily, laughing all the while. “I could say the same to you, yeah?” they called in reply,“Let's spice things up!” They focused their aether into the L-Type Engine buried in their chest, erupting into a brilliant azure glow.

“Well that's new” Lyse commented as she instinctively dodged to the left, her turn to narrowly dodge an attack. She kept dodging Crescent flurry of strikes, concerned that their speed seemed to be increasing. “Whoa, wait-” Before she could finish her thought, Crescent landed the first actual blow to Lyse’s right shoulder, sending her spinning with its force. She recovered just before hitting the ground, taking the opportunity to go for another leg sweep, this time far more successful than the last.

Crescent fumbled, landing hard against the stone floor. They groaned as their focus was disrupted, peering up just quick enough to roll out of the way of a leaping strike from Lyse. “Gods damn” Crescent grunted, hauling themself back to their feet, “I forgot how good you are at this!”

Lyse inhaled sharply as she focused, tuning out her surroundings until all she could see was her opponent. She charged, prompting Crescent into a kick before feinting and striking them square in the “stomach”, her fist colliding with solid steel. “Shit!” She cried out, pulling back and shaking her hand in pain, “Time out!”

Crescent immediately stopped their assault, running over to their friend. “Oh hells…” they muttered, kicking themself for not using enough padding on their joints. “You alright?”

Lyse sucked in a quick breath, and massaged her own hand. “Seven hells! Are you wearing bloody armor under all that?” She remarked, making a small gesture at Crescent's odd choice in sparring garb.

Crescent looked down and sighed, knowing that this conversation was about to get a lot more difficult. “Well, no, not exactly.” Slowly, they pulled off layer after layer of clothing and padding until they were down to just a cropped top and shorts, their joints on full display. “Things are just a little different now.”

Lyse's eyes widened, unsure of what she was looking at. “What in the hell's happened to you?” She muttered, brushing her fingers over Crescent's elbow joint.

Crescent sighed again, running their free hand through their hair. “Well” they started, “I died for one.”

“Wait-”

“And then I came back.”

“Hold on-”

“But I was just a ghost? I guess?”

“Crescent!”

Crescent stopped talking for a moment and looked at Lyse.

Lyse's face was wrought with concern and fear. “What do you mean you died?”

We Sparrows are excited to announce that we will be performing again on the last Friday of this month and also on the last Saturday of next! The friends we've met over the years doing these shows have touched our lives more than any of us can express and it's thanks to people like you, our RP community. We look forward to seeing your faces again, both old and new, and hope that you have an awesome time with us!

Time:

Doors at 10PM EST, curtain call at 10:30PM EST

Where:

Balmung Server, Lavender Beds, Ward 16, Plot 36

For fun:

**For those with older computers, we suggest you seat yourselves in the front as to lower the chance of items despawning in the show space.**

There is never an OOC entrance fee. We enjoy sharing a night of excitement and music with everyone!
