Damn, I forget that Hana's respect towards omegas isn't just a courtesy thing, but also respect your capability and agency. No wonder she's so popular and such a loyal following. No wonder the deputy gives a cut of the earnings.

So there’s the sexism, but, horribly, the scenting and the heat issues can be extremely bad for omegas.

Meeting Hana is so fucking weird for omegas. She’s an alpha, a strong one! But she’s not an asshole? She’s not even possessive?? She never tries to intimidate anyone? (Hana is intimidating but she’s not like. Trying to be lol.) She asks her omega second in command for advice and then actually listens??

So yeah the strippers and workers at the bars are like ‘why the fuck is Hana in hell?’ And then Hana does something incredibly violent to a challenger, and then they go ooooohhhhh. Glad she’s on our side lol.

(They’re wrong btw. Hana lived a pretty average life as a human. The died and went to the void and then she somehow ended up in hell. She went to hell because she hasn’t got a soul and she reads as hellborn adjacent to the Hazbin universe.

This also means that Hana, unlike other sinners, can traverse all the rings of hell!)

Do you think you might ever do something like fic for fighting back again someday?

I have thought about it and I have really wanted to but my ability to word generate has slowed down a little, not to mention that [adult stuff that no one else needs to worry about].

That was a crazy summer for a lot of obvious reasons but some word faucet opened in my head that -- idk where it came from. For FFFB in June I wrote 52k; in September-October, for Fic for Fire Relief I wrote 87k; but then for Fic for Climate Crisis in February 2021 I really hit a wall, and while that series is sitting at 115k, I still haven't actually finished all the requests and still owe people for their donations to charity. And am ashamed about it, never fear.

So -- I think hitting that wall has made me really leery of trying to try again. There have (again, very obviously) been plenty of causes that need donations, but if I can't deliver in a timely manner then I would be shirking my duty, and that makes me feel Very Very Bad. I hope people can donate even without that goad but... yeah. I guess that's it; a little shame wall.

Like a lot of people, I’ve been feeling alternately furious, depressed, and sick to my stomach about--well, everything. I’m not a doctor or a lawyer and I don’t really have any way to fight back. The one thing I can do is write fast.

If you send me proof via screenshot that you’ve donated $10 or more to an organization that supports #blacklivesmatter, I will write you a short fic. There are so many places that need help that choosing a place to donate can be overwhelming; I strongly recommend supporting the ACLU or the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, because they’ve been working their asses off and can use all the help they can get, even from small donors, even if all you can give is ten bucks.
