@officialfeysandweek Day 2: Mirrors

Something I find really compelling about Feysand is that they don't just mirror the good in each other, they mirror the bad, too. Their capacity for ruthlessness is so fun to play around with in fanfic, and @separatist-apologist does it masterfully in Is There A Word For Bad Miracle? when Rhys stumbles upon Feyre committing a murder.

This is one of my all time favorite fics and I had so much fun working with @/lacunanism_ to bring this iconic scene to life!

Hi hello!!

So, I’m sorry but I don’t really know many, I have to admit :/

I’m quite particular about how I imagine those two, and I think dark fics are a scarcity within the already narrow niche (?) of acotar x reader fanfiction, which is why for the most part I wanted to write them for myself?

That being said, Haunt Me Like The Wind That Blows by @throneofsapphics is a version of dark! Rhys I personally like, and I really enjoyed reading! It does reference poly!feysand, but for the most part revolves around reader trying to run from them, hiding out in a small village for about a year before Rhys comes to retrieve her 🧡💛

Company of Phantoms and its sequel Our Marriage Bed by @azrielhours are both also marvellously written stories, the premise being a lovely mix of infatuation and what’s arguably some psychosis on Az’s part as he begins to hallucinate seeing and hearing reader where she isn’t—these two are both comfort fics (I mean, basically all of her works are, but for the purpose of this ask these two are the ones I’m mentioning specifically 🧡💛)

There’s also running from dark!azriel by @gothicbabydollz which is exactly as it sounds—probably also another one I reread fairly frequently, so feel free to have a nose at these, and I hope you enjoy :)

(If dark!Feysand piques your interest however, @whisperingmidnights has some lovely fics like Lovely Things that I believe you’ll be able to find under #🍁promptober fic🍁 which are all very well written and immensely enjoyable—she has a wonderfully articulate style 🧡💛)

Sjm had 2 opportunities to make history and fumbled, TWICE:

Make acomaf a reverse harem between Feyre/Rhys/Cass/Az (like imagine Feyre being worshipped like a Goddess not by one but THREE as my girl deserves)

Make Feyre tame a dragon form Rhys and fuck him nasty as you put it...

But alas we can't have it all😔

I've never understood people who say 3 Brothers x 3 Sisters is boring and unimaginative. You are aware that every couple has their own individual story, right? Each character has their own personality, has their own obstacles to overcome, has their own story and together each couple forms an overall picture.

People who say the 3 brother x 3 sisters trope is nothing special, okay I've never heard of a book serie that have this trope.

I'm 100% serious. People in the acotar fandom who say 3 brothers x 3 sisters is nothing special, boring or a cliché. Please give me book recs that have this exact trope. (I would prefer book recs in the fantasy genre after all, Acotar is also Romantasy) I will even give you a review when i finished the book if you wish.

I read dark romance and here it is pretty commen that you have a book series that each follow a sibling, be it that you can read each sibling's story as standalone or as spin off serie, but the respective LIs are not related with each other. They are often from the same social circle but that is. Not related, not sisters.

Maybe how this story (which was MB's very first feysand fic) paved the way for a friendship that transcended oceans and time zones. Becoming MB's friend is something that felt predestined, and I'll forever be grateful to this story for bringing us together! 🥰☃
