       KIKYO STOOD THERE, QUIETLY watching her reincarnation for a moment before she sighed softly, as if losing an internal battle against herself. He had meant to visit closer to opening, but it was natural that Itachi’s job would keep him occupied. Still, as a hokage he liked to pride himself on trying to get around to keeping his promises, even if the delivery came late.

Stepping towards the counter, Itachi tucked the hat under his shoulder, before looking around. Hmmm, he’d have to try some of these herbs, after all, Tsunade had suggested maybe supplementing his treatments with some, so maybe Kagome would have some ideas for it. “Have I come at a good time? Or are you too busy for old-withered-me?”

why did the author kill you off?

Morals=Mortality. Every story has themes, with lessons within those themes. Your death was in service of one (or more) of these, your life made forfeit in favour of imparting wisdom... or what the author presented as wisdom. Were you too kind? Too trusting? Too forgiving? Did a cruel author kill you to prove that happy endings do not exist? Or were you too proud to ask for help? Too angry to let the past go? Did the author hold a mirror up to the protagonist, showing them your death where the reflection was supposed to go? On one hand, your death is pitiable, for it does not belong to you. On the other, you have been granted a gift many spend their whole lives searching for: A purpose. May you find comfort and truth within the circumstances of your demise (and may we all).

' I honestly do not know where all these gifts come from, I arrived at the shop and they were just waiting there, so um I brought you some Sasuke. Sorry It's a day late though, um Happy Valentine's.' Kagome said holding her gift to him, it was a simple teddy bear holding a rose, and in her other hand was a heart shaped box of chocolate although, she might just keep that as Sasuke didn't like sweets. | @feudalfell

Well, this was embarrassing. “I’m not sure what to say,” he said, hands grabbing for the teddy bear while he hazard to reach for the chocolates as well— he noticed a slight hesitation and a delay of her offering on those.

Sasuke accepting gifts was proof of improvement in his character. His unruly teenage self would have easily swiped the generosity into the dirt. Sadly, there was no one ( who loudly reprimanded his petulant ways ) here to witness this momentous marking in history. 

“I don’t have anything on hand. I don’t usually care about this holiday.” He tucked the plush into the crook of his elbow. “I can offer to make some tea, or whatever you want.” 

His time was a gift, obviously.

❝ Oh, Kagome. ❞  A friendly face is never shunned away, even in her times of solitude. She watches with a smile as Kagome approaches, repositioning herself on the patch of grass as to invite the girl to join. Did she really look so glum? Ah, perhaps she wasn't very good at hiding it after all; then again, Kagome was someone she entrusted those thoughts and feelings too. Maybe she could just read her after all this time together.

❝ I'm sorry if I worried you at all. ❞  Perhaps slightly guilty, as well as momentarily awkward -- the last thing she wanted was to put any strain on the group. They'd already been so kind, and always so attentive to her sorrows ... really, it was just passing thoughts of the past.
