the fact that something is most definitely coming for the tinkerbell/disney fairies franchise is making me go insane

you can’t tell me that disney just decided to suddenly release:

• 8 of the original disney fairies books from the early 2000’s in 4 part collections with cover art of their old designs

• a tinkerbell ride at disneyland tokyo

• a novel for 8-12 year olds featuring tinks ponytail from the original books

• a young adult novel about the lore of secret of the wings

• a glow in the dark loungefly bag with beautiful art of the movies main girls (minus vidia) that isn’t just tinkerbell themed, but specifically disney fairies themed

i will bet money on there being something big coming, whether that’s a new movie or something to do with the novels cast. i find it so interesting that they’re republishing the old books and making a new one with tinks old ponytail design on the cover. it would be such a weird move if that’s something they don’t expand on, in my opinion. i cannot tell you want i could give for a spin off 2d show based on the books where it’s a different timeline. prilla would be so fun as an animated character with her energy and whimsy, FEED US DISNEY

Meet Vidia Castur, the familiar of my necromancer character Jocelin! This started out as just pencil drawings but I colored them just because :>

Despite her appearance and the way she behaves sometimes, Vidia is actually completely sentient and can understand speech, read, and (very clumsily, with a pen in her teeth) write - though she cannot speak. This is because she actually used to be able to turn human (she's a Feral-Blood, or a type of shapeshifter from Sycleria that's limited to a humanoid and another specific animal form), but for backstory reasons that left her fused with her siblings (and that were kinda Jocelin's fault...), she is... like this.

Though, backstory aside, she has a sweet and upbeat personality with no intention of frightening anyone with her appearance, and she looks out for Joce even if he believes he is more indebted to her for what happened. They've been in a familiar contract since they were kids, and Joce still treats her like a best friend and business partner, while she is on a mission to keep him sane and alive.

So I've been rewatching the tinkerbell films (which are so fucking good and absolutely stand up over time btw) but like... despite my childhood gay crush on Vidia (and Silvermist lmao, the two icons of every sapphic childhood) I never realised how genuinely gay-coded she is???

Especially in the third one, The Great Fairy Rescue is ABSOLUTELY the story of how Vidia and Tink became gfs and I will hear nothing else

You know what does lowkey make me laugh about the hunger games

District Twelve has only ever had four victors, right? And it’s widely accepted that 18-year-olds are obviously at an advantage, as are the Careers by virtue of just... being the Careers. And yet every single victor from Twelve was 16??? Like. Four separate inexperienced and malnourished 16-year-olds - three of which were from the fuckin Seam of all places - won the wholeass Games. They beat the Careers, they beat jacked as fuck lumber guys and ‘I’m desensitised to blood’ livestock gals, and they won the entire thing - and exclusively with only one real ally - THE OTHER PERSON FROM THEIR OWN DISTRICT. Everyone hates on District Twelve as being the worst one, but if I was to bet on the hunger games and I heard they’d picked a 16-year-old from Twelve, I would simply bet on them. I don’t care how ~feral~ and ~untrained~ they are babe, Twelve’s 16-year-olds are fuckin winners
