In Critical Role Campaign 1, does anyone understand why someone made a bow that grows a tree out of creatures it kills???

It just seems like a very odd quirk that doesn't seem generally useful. It doesn't come into play until the fight is over, and you probably don't get much of a choice where your baby tree ends up located even if generating baby trees is generally desirable to the wielder. Have they ever revealed any sort of backstory, like that this weapon was created by someone fighting deforestation by literally killing the perpetrators and fertilizing the new growth with their corpses or something?

Look I know everyone and their mother has done Saundor!Vex AUs but some Thoughts for this one:

Vex did give Saundor her heart... and then she and VM killed him anyways. So now she's fae-ish and without a heart, and crying for what she lost.

Given she gave in to Saundor's offer she and VM potentially head back to Syngorn to show off Fenthras. When Syldor still doesn't grant her much respect, Vex is Kinda Fucked Up that she gave up so much for next to nothing. (This delay also means VM might show up a touch too late to the RAGE fight. Make of that what you will.)

Probably dies Bad in the Thordak fight and needs another ritual then, no simple Revivify when you're a burnt twig.

Percy (and Keyleth, and Vax) potentially trying to find a way to help her regrow her heart, ft. Whitestone's Widow's Garden.

It's old but it's all I have ready and prepared for this Valentine's day so it'll have to do.

Witness my 2 year old musing on what exactly would happen if perc'ahlia went evil a la Percy being the Briarwood's little pet and them turning him and he makes a pact with orthax instead of just being possessed a little, and Saundor not being fucking weird about giving Vex his powers but corrupting her anyway (but not being fucking weird about it), and like his heart is fenthras and a cavalcade of corruption, her own heart feeds into her own corruption manifesting as the rotten bloom at her core yet corrupt or no it is still Percy's, and his own black heart belongs to her.

I wanted to make a standee of this but I'm diseased and have to redraw the art first before I deign to do that so y'know maybe but I do intend to flesh this idea out a lil more at some point l
