That finale was absolutely soul crushing but I am here thinking about how Fennter can still win like-

Basically Fennec Shand was tracking them and Omega in season one so logically she could help them find Omega AGAIN and it's basically allies of convenience with Hunter to lovers like traipsing across the galaxy through all of Fennec and Phee's sources trying to find any indication of the Advanced Science Division and Fennec is infuriating Hunter SO MUCH bc she "doesn't have to follow his orders" and he hates trusting the more unsavory types bc of what happened with Cid and then Echo reminds him that literally none of them follow orders so Hunter tries to talk through it with Fennec and they end up making out about it likeyado.

And they're both just angry people who have lost so much and Hunter Knows the only reason Fennec's around if because they're gonna give her a bunch of credits that they're gonna steal from whatever Imperial impound they find Omega in but he really likes having her around and he's starting to dream about a future where she's there with them on Pabu and Fennec knows the only reason that Hunter wants her around is because he needs her to help him find his sister but he's really starting to grow on her. In an annoying way.

Then they find Omega and Crosshair and Tech and Hunter's so happy and Fennec is so conflicted like she's been helping Hunter this whole time and she feels like staying will intrude on the happiness Hunter's trying to make for himself because she's never been able to be that happy and certainly not with other people but Hunter stops her from leaving and convinces her to stay and yeah
